What did all the Primordials do before/at Genesis

We know beings like Tiamat and Abzu existed at and before Genesis, as Tiamat herself is one of the mothers of it and is said to be able to redo it by Gilgamesh. But likely other Primordials were there, even some dragons like Albion were there.

Were they just playing primordial chess, primordial Uno with the imaginary numbers?

But Tiamat and Abzu did exist predating earth; did they just exist and then have life start?

Did other primordials do the same? or did they watch? Waiting for Ea/Enki to be created to cool the earth.

No idea tbh. It probably wouldn't make sense since we have a lot of mitologies at the same time + all the Nasuverse original beings, so maybe Nasu just decided to skip any explanation. Or maybe there is and I just don't know. Although I mean, maybe they were just there, waiting as you say because they're that kind of beings.

Well its mostly a joke response, likely all primordial beings who did exist before Earth were searching for a suitable planet.

Nasu hasn't really delved into it, all we know is. Pre Genesis and Pre Human Order becoming powerful time was not really linear or making sense. It's humans becoming the dominant species which had basically created the proper timeline we know.

Though it would be funny to see Abzu playing chess with Ymir or another primordial while Tiamat is making food for them all.
