Alec Fargo (アレック・ファーゴ?) is a magus of the Fargo family in Lord El-Melloi II Case Files.[1]
Profile[]
Background[]
Alec is Ernest Fargo's nephew. He owed his uncle a great sum of money.[1]
Personality[]
Alec is a brash indiviual with seemingly poor finical responsibility, as evidenced by the debt he owed to his uncle. He also considered to be greedy since he was willing to take uncle's rare magical tomes to sell them for a quick profit. He has a generally condescending attitude, along with being quick to anger.[1]
Role[]
Lord El-Melloi II Case Files[]
Alec warns Lord El-Melloi II not to trust Fernando Li, accusing him of murdering his uncle for his research. Fernando brings up the exorbitant debt Alec owed to his uncle, which Claire concurs and states he was arguing with Ernest about his debt on the day of the murder. Alec berates and moves to strike her but is stopped by his cousin, Mary Lil Fargo, who reveals Alec, Claire, Fernando, and herself were in the mansion on that day. The group move to the central hall where the murder occurred.[1]
At the door of the central hall, Alec mocks El-Melloi II's initial deduction that Ernest's murder relates to the Seven Planets magecraft. Revealing the interior of the hall, where the crime scene is preserved with magecraft, it is shown that Ernest's body parts were not arranged according to the Geocentric ModelWP, as is traditional of astromancers. He is considered a potential murder suspect, with his motive being Ernest's fortune.[1]
Alone in the study, Alec begins pilfering his uncle's magical tomes, intending to sell them. He expresses disinterest in the mystery behind Ernest's death. As he sits in a chair to smoke a cigarette, Ernest's hair and bones preserved in the room react to the smoke. Alec is brutally killed by the undead spirit summoned by residual Saturn mana emanating from the remains.[1]
Abilities[]
Like the rest of his family, Alec is practitioner of Astromancy.[1]
