Alice Kuonji (久遠寺 有珠, Kuonji Arisu?), Class Name Caster (キャスター, Kyasutā?), is a Caster-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
Alice is the current generation's Witch who controls the Ploy Kickshaw. The Meinster (マインスター, Mainsutā?) witches, the witches who control the Ploys are considered heretics among Mages. Alice's abilities as a Magus stems not from her father but from her Meinster mother, who was the previous generation's witch and had the second title of the Pure Witch. She was a pop culture girl, getting drawn easily to the latest trends. She was also a big fan of Lewis Carroll. The elder son of the Kuonji tycoons met and fell in love with a witch while studying abroad. He loved her, and while she accepted that love with some confusion, she was also afraid at the same time. No matter how blessed their wedding may be, the daughter to be born will be a witch. Just as she herself was one, the child of a witch will bear the destiny of inheriting the blood and history of their line without any exceptions.[1]
It is said that a witch must not fall in love with the male that becomes the father of her child because the more they love each other, the sadder the conclusion. While still knowing and accepting this, the Kuonji boy married her and returned to Japan to build a happy family. Her mother named her AliceWP after the character in the "Alice in WonderlandWP" book, which went against tradition and broke the taboo.[1]
May Riddell Archelot is her rival and childhood friend. Riddell is also the one who named Alice's Ploys when they were young. Alice has been acquainted with the Aozaki family since her mother became a naturalized citizen of Japan. She has been associated with Touko for no less than ten years, and she has only been living together with Aoko for just one year.[1]
Appearance[]
Alice appears as a teenage girl with pale skin, short black hair, and eyes with black pupils. In her First Ascension, she wears her winter clothes, a white summer dress in the second, and a formal black dress in the third.
Personality[]
Externally, Alice appears unemotional, uncaring, and unexpressive with an aura of unapproachability. She is misanthropic, loathes anything rowdy, and holds the stance that she will leave the room without a word if there is something she feels is unpleasant. This is not who she truly is at heart, however, and simply acts like this because that's how witches are supposed to act.[1]
Having kept herself in control for so long, Alice does not realize that she is a pleasant girl, full of curiosity, a little short-tempered, and slightly sulky. Occasionally, these 'girly' mannerisms can be glimpsed through her otherwise icy exterior. She never intends to harm commoners, but should they get in her way, she has no qualms about eliminating them, being extremely proactive in that sense. She also apathetically ignores most things, but should anyone meddle with her pride over her witch nature and mansion then she will reprimand or maybe even eliminate them.[1]
Internally, she has a pessimistic and philosophical outlook on life, though she does not dislike the way people are. Although Alice sees the gossip of her schoolmates as something meaningless, she does not scorn it. Even if it is meaningless to her, it is clear that it does have meaning to them.[1]
She dearly treasures the memories she has of when her mother was alive, which is also the reason why she is so closed off as she does not want anyone else to besmirch those memories. And while she herself endeavors hard to be a witch she remains an ordinary girl. She also has an unusually intense streak of possessiveness, being extremely afraid of losing things or being betrayed by people she trusts. She refuses to part with anything that is hers, which shines through in her exterior appearance. She also has a dreadful sense of humor.[1]
Relationships[]
- Aoko Aozaki
- Aoko is special to her, both her sister-in-arms, as well as her accomplice. As Aoko is her very first friend, Alice both respects her and values her company.[1][2]
- Soujuurou Shizuki
- She thinks Soujuurou is strange. That said, she does not think of him as unpleasant, so she may as well wait and see how the situation evolves between them.[1][2]
- Nursery Rhyme
- A huge fan of nursery rhymes, specifically those written by Lewis Carrol, Alice enjoys spending time with Nursery Rhyme. They enjoy swapping stories, playing pretend, and having tea parties.[2]
- Hans Christian Andersen
- Although unfamiliar with fairy tales from literature, she is not disinterested in them and requests Andersen to tell more about them. She has shown special interest in The Ugly DucklingWP and his unpublished love letters.[2]
- Kashin Koji
- Alice has spent a lot of time in Kashin Koji's room to learn puppetry from her. As they are similar in personality, Alice gets along well with her, believing all skilled puppeteers share her personality.[2]
- Circe
- Circe was unlike what Alice expected. Having wondered how she turned people into pigs using porridge, she found it informative to learn from how she did it.[2]
- Elizabeth Báthory
- Believing Elizabeth to be cute, Alice considered making a Ploy in her model. She ultimately decided against it, as A ploy would not be able to match the real Elizabeth.[2]
