Identity[]
Better known in history as Attila the HunWP (アッティラ・ザ・フンWP, Attira za Fun?). She was the warlord who established a great empire in the 5th CenturyWP. She was a warrior and king of the Huns, a tribe descending from the XiongnuWP (HunniWP). Leading an army on horseback, her conquests led her to control a vast territory spanning from Western Asia to Russia, Eastern Europe, and even GaulWP. It can be said that she invited the eventual collapse of the Roman Empire.[2][1][4]Throughout her life, Altera was always in the midst of battle. Due to the terrifying acts she committed in war, she was greatly feared in all European nations as the Scourge of God (神の鞭, Kami no Muchi?, Whip of God) and the Divine Punishment (神の懲罰, Kami no Chōbatsu?).[1][2]
Attila the Hun is known as Etzel in the Nibelungenlied. Etzel's previous wife passed away and she later married Kriemhild, who handled the ruling court. Kriemhild merely used the king for the sake of her revenge against her previous husband Siegfried's killers. Altera barely remembers her, as she was solely focused on destruction at the time.[5] Attila is also known as King Atli in the "Völsunga saga", "GuðrúnarkviðaWP" and "Sigurðarkviða hin skammaWP" from the Elder EddaWP, etc.[6]
In reality, Altera is not related to the Huns at all. She was discovered within the dark ruins of a civilization from thousands of years ago by the Hun elders, with tattoos of combat on her body and the Photon Ray in her hand. After she killed an armed man, the elders began to regard her as destruction made manifest and subjected themselves to her before she went on to destroy civilizations as her instincts dictated.[4][7]
This Altera is the Heroic Spirit form of the Titan Altera. Although she is no longer connected to the titan version of herself, she recalls traces of that connection, which she considers memories of a previous life that she can't quite grasp. But a vestige of her old self's power is still buried in the depths of her core.[4]
History[]

Despite being king of the Huns, she was not one of them. Instead, she was found by them and adopted into their ranks as king. Altera has no memory of ever having parents, friends, or family. Since the Huns found her, her sole focus was on domination and the destruction of civilization. She rampaged across Europe, never doubting her sole purpose. During her many battles, Altera barely noticed that she had an army at her back as she cut an empire out of her enemies.[2]
Although Altera achieved great martial success, her political achievements were lacking. Even as it became increasingly difficult for the Huns to control the lands they had conquered, Altera solely focused on slaughtering her enemies. After her death, the Hunnic empire she created and her empire rapidly fell apart and dissolved.[1][2]
Even as she lay dying in a pool of her own blood, Altera's only thoughts were focused on ways she could destroy Rome.[2] However, the awe and dread infused in the name "Attila" remains in the memories of people to this day.[2][1] As years went by, parts of Altera's story were forgotten, including the fact that she was a woman.[2]
Appearance[]
Altera is a beautiful tan-skinned girl with red eyes and white, veil-like hair under her actual white veil. Her body is carved with the white marks of war and tattoos of combat as the Crest of the Star.

Personality[]
Altera dislikes her more common name of 'Attila'. She does not dislike its meaning (father or controller) but rather its sound, and is somewhat more attached to the German version 'Etzel'. Regardless she calls herself 'Altera' and wishes to be known as such. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret she discloses to only a very small group of people; 'Attila' does not sound charming and sweet.[2][5]
A proud and logical fighter, Altera can deal with even the most drastic of circumstances without abandoning her reason using her excellent instincts. However, there is a sort of emptiness about her.[1][2] Although she was emotionless in life, Altera gained the ability to feel when she was summoned as a Servant. However, she feels uncomfortable with emotions as she doesn't know how to express them.[8]
Regardless of friend or foe, Altera has some magnanimity for warriors whose skill she has acknowledged, but those who stand against her are treated as only obstructions to be removed, and she is fundamentally merciless.[2] She has an innate compulsion to destroy, of which she describes it as being even greater than that of a Command Spell's.[5] In truth, this is because she is the Cerebral Corpus of Velber 02; her connection to the White Titan has been disrupted due to the destruction of Velber 02's Earth-based body, but lingering memories of her former existence remain in her mind even if she cannot make sense of them.
Although she recognizes that she is truly in her element while in combat, Altera personally does not like it. She fights because it is in her nature to do so rather than because she wants to. She kills all who stand in her way and destroys all civilization before her, but has gained a slight amount of nuance and only actively destroys what she deems "bad civilization". She is unused and inexperienced in matters outside of war and combat.[2] Altera was born with a fondness for the God of War, Mars (Ares), whom she likes to call 'Marc'.[1][2]
Altera treats her Master stoically, recognizing them as a general or adviser-like figure, and will generally go along with anything they say. This relationship significantly influences her. As Altera is solely focused on combat she requires her Master to process thoughts.[2]
As a Heroic Spirit, Altera has begun to silently question herself on what could have been if she was not a warrior and what kind of life she could have led, although she did not despise the life she did lead and is simply curious. This also influenced her wish for the Holy Grail. Although she wishes to destroy it as it is a record of all of history,[3] if she had a wish for it, it would be to "try living a life other than that of a warrior."[2]

Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Second Singularity: Septem[]
Altera is summoned by Lev Lainur Flauros after his defeat by Chaldea and Nero Claudius. Although his Holy Grail should have ensured absolute obedience, she immediately dispatches him and absorbs the Grail before advancing towards Rome.[10] Chaldea and Nero manage to stop her before she destroys it, and Altera disappears, content knowing that there are things in the world that even she cannot destroy.[11]
Do Moon Goddesses Dream of Dango?[]
Hiding inside the bag of dumplings as she eats them, Altera is eventually discovered by Artemis when Mash tries to take the bag back to Chaldea. Cutting the bag along with Caligula when he looks inside the bag, she emerges from the bag to the shock of Artemis. Curious about Artemis’s surprise at her appearance, Altera states she appears wherever there is civilization. Rejecting Artemis’s notion that she destroys anything as a misunderstanding, Altera states she realized that there are good and bad civilizations, with dumplings being good and Moon Festival being bad. Deciding that she’ll take the dumplings, and destroy the group for having Moon Festivals, she fights them. After being defeated by the group, Altera comments the dumplings were good, and wonders when her Noble Phantasm will attain its true power before disappearing.
Final Singularity: Solomon[]
Altera is amongst the "Septem" Singularity Servants to aid Chaldea against the Demon Gods Pillars.[12]
Event: All the Statesmen![]
Summoned by the Nameless Master, Altera first confronts Ritsuka's party after Paul Bunyan chopped down an entire forest. Calling herself Wyatt Earp, she and Billy the Kid have come to punish the group for illegal deforestation. Bunyan insists she was going to ship out the lumber so the wood doesn't go to waste, but Altera still decides to punish her. The group forces her to retreat. She flies east towards Chicago.
Ritsuka's party encounters her again while they're eating hamburger steak. She now calls herself Buffalo Bill, but she miscounts the number of weapons she has in her introduction. She leaves and comes back, only to repeat her mistake. Frustrated, she tries to redo her intro again, but Ritsuka tells her she doesn't have to. Altera agrees and declares the group will be punished for killing the endangered buffalo, ignoring Geronimo's statement that the herd was berserk and not one part was wasted. She is forced to retreat, warning the group not to go any further.
She is encountered once again at the Columbian Exposition with Nikola Tesla, calling herself Davy Crockett this time. She sends Thomas Edison into a rage by calling DC bad civilization, triggering a fight. After Tesla disappears, Altera leaves, warning Ritsuka and Bunya they'll encounter their worst nightmare if they go any further.
Another Altera is later used as the vessel of Goddess Columbia. She disappears after Columbia is defeated.
Yet another Altera appears when Bunyan's decreasing perception of Ritsuka's party threatens their existence. Like them, she wants to help Bunyan, even though she knows Bunyan is a danger to the world. But she believes that the act of resisting in itself should be a great civilization. Then, contracting with Ritsuka, she destroys Bunyan's Grail with Teardrop Photon Ray.
Christmas Event: Merry Christmas from the Underworld[]
When Chaldea is assailed by Sumerian Fever, Altera is the only one unaffected thanks to her Natural Body Skill and her resistance to the planet's mythology. She then met Dumuzid, who convinces her that Chaldea is being attacked because Kur isn't getting any Christmas presents. He asks her to help him appease Ereshkigal's anger. She agrees to help, and Dumuzid grants her his Authority to make her Santa Claus. He then told her to deliver a present at Kur's lowest level.[13]
Altera saves Ritsuka from Gallû Spirits after Gilgamesh transported them to Kur. After destroying the spirits, she tells Ritsuka to grab onto her sheep when she notices their free fall is rather slow. She asks them to guide her as they did with the previous Santas. She believes their goal to descend into Kur and her goal to deliver presents are aligned. Their destination is the bottom-most level of Kur, the Abyss.[14]
Descending to the first gate, Ritsuka is confused about the Christmas decorations, so Altera reads a letter to explain. According to it, Christmas has come to Kur because it is merging with Chaldea’s accumulated knowledge for unspecified reasons. Due to Ereshkigal breaking her oath, time and space in Kur have become disrupted. Chaldea was blamed for this, so the Sumerian Fever was unleashed to destroy it. During this time, Kur is deep and narrow instead of wide and shallow. The seven gates are now the seven layers, and beyond its seventh layer is the Abyss. There lies Kur’s temple, where Ereshkigal resides. Until she is defeated, Chaldea will continue to suffer.[14]
Altera and Ritsuka soon reach the first gate, confronted by its gatekeeper, Medusa. Medusa refuses to let them pass since neither is technically dead yet. To pass, they need to either die by her hands or give her a present. Altera fights her to see if she’s worthy of a present. Afterward, she gives her a Craft Essence featuring Shinji Matou, only for Medusa to cut it down. She then gives a more comical one featuring Shinji, which Medusa reluctantly accepts and opens the gate. Medusa warns the other gatekeepers won’t be kind as her and believes Altera doesn’t yet know how to be Santa. After Medusa ascends, Altera and Ritsuka pass through the first gate.[15]
As they descend towards the second gate, Altera tells Ritsuka how she became Santa. Ritsuka tells her that Dumuzid tricked her, but she refuses to believe it. The pair soon reach the second gate and meet its gatekeeper, Angra Mainyu. He immediately demands a present from her and claims to be another Santa that delivers cheap garbage. After Altera defeats him in a fight, he grabs two presents for himself from her sack. She scolds him for his greed, but he says children waiting for Santa's presents are greedy. Santa himself is also greedy for delivering presents to those who don't even believe him. The gate then opens, and Angra Mainyu hints Quetzalcoatl is the next gatekeeper. Altera and Ritsuka pass through the gate.[13]
The pair reaches the third gate to find it already open and its gatekeeper gone. Ereshkigal appears and reveals she banished Quetzalcoatl for being an outsider and a goddess of Venus. She then reveals she is currently conducting a ritual to hand over her Authority in the Abyss. Altera is surprised she could defeat Quetzalcoatl, to which Ereshkigal explains everyone’s powers are rendered useless in Kur. Ereshkigal then blasts Altera with red lightning, only for it to be ineffective. Altera tells her that Ritsuka wants her to stop Kur’s attack on Chaldea, otherwise, it’ll be destroyed by tomorrow and Christmas won’t be celebrated. However, Ereshkigal flies into a rage upon hearing they’re from Chaldea, forcing Altera and Ritsuka to fight her. Altera implores Ritsuka to retreat to the second gate, but Ereshkigal refuses to let them escape. An evil spirit appears however and implores her to return to the Abyss. It warns Kur will disappear if she isn’t present when the ritual is conducted. Ereshkigal tells Ritsuka and Altera to return to Chaldea, but Altera says Ritsuka could die from Sumerian Fever if they return. Ereshkigal reveals however she cannot transfer control of Kur unless she erases everyone who knows about her. After she leaves, Ritsuka and Altera agree then need to talk with her again.[16]
Altera hears fighting at the fourth gate and rushes there to mediate it. She and Ritsuka find Ushiwakamaru attacking and insulting Musashibou Benkei. After forcing them to stop fighting, Altera gives Ushiwakamaru a present: a picture of herself. Ushiwakamaru refuses it, so Benkei accepts it instead. Altera tries again with a picture of Benkei, but Ushiwakamaru again refuses, forcing Ritsuka to ask her what she wants. Ushiwakamaru privately tells Altera what she wants, and she is gifted with a Craft Essence depicting Ritsuka and Mash. The gate then opens, and Altera follows Ritsuka when they rush through at Ushiwakamaru’s behest.[17]
After passing through the fifth gate guarded by Jaguar Man, the pair wonder who is attacking Chaldea, if not Ereshkigal. Merlin at the sixth gate reveals the malice left behind by Nergal in Kur is what is attacking Chaldea and imprisoning Ereshkigal. Nergal is trying to usurp Ereshkigal’s position to be the god of the underworld. Merlin then reveals Nergal laid out a trap for Ritsuka and Altera. Nergal then appears and attacks the group, but they defeat him. Altera wonders if the attack on Chaldea will stop now, but Merlin says it won’t since Ereshkigal is the one who sent the plague. He reveals Ereshkigal is attacking Chaldea to commit suicide. She should’ve stopped being a Servant and returned to the normal underworld system as a consequence of breaking her oath as a goddess to help Ritsuka. But she couldn’t because they were humans in Chaldea that still remember her, and there are records of her battles stored there. Ereshkigal plans to give Kur to Nergal’s hands and dissolve herself in the waters of the Abyss to take responsibility. While defeating Ereshkigal will stop the Sumerian Fever, Merlin warns Nergal will rule Kur if Ereshkigal disappears. If Nergal does rule, Kur will become a place of suffering and decay. Merlin then pulls a Craft Essence depicting Altera from her sack that he claims is a dream she wished for. The gate then opens; Merlin warns the seventh gatekeeper isn’t allied with either Ereshkigal or Nergal, and their only desire is to defeat Ritsuka and Altera.[18]
Altera and Ritsuka arrive at the seventh gate, but it is unguarded. But Ishtar suddenly blasts through the gates to reach the pair. She has come to avenge the humiliation she suffered at Ereshkigal's hand by dominating the underworld. She tries to return Ritsuka to Chaldea, saying Ereshkigal will disappear before it succumbs to Sumerian Fever. They refuse, though, despite being told Ereshkigal doesn't remember them. Ishtar then fights them and Altera to test their resolve to enter the Abyss. She is defeated despite her increased power since she was concerned for Ritsuka's safety. She then asks how they'll open the gate and how they opened the previous ones. Altera explains that she gave the gatekeepers presents, which makes them happy. The gate thus considers them saved and open. Altera then gifts Ishtar with a jewel pendant, but the gate doesn't open. Thinking about what would make her happy, Ritsuka gives her an ATM. The gate opens in response, and Altera and Ritsuka pass through.[19]
The pair arrive at the Abyss, but Altera finds they cannot go down any further. Nergal tells them the living can't do so without a guide, as their soul would be devoured. He then moves to kill Ritsuka to ensure Ereshkigal will disappear and Kur will become his. Altera finds she cannot truly destroy him without Ereshkigal's help, so they need to dive to the Abyss' bottom and pull her out. Leonidas then arrives to help at Merlin's request. He tells Ritsuka that they already hold what they need: the Sands of the Underworld. Using the weight of the sands, Ritsuka and Altera sink to the bottom of the Abyss while Leonidas holds off Nergal.[20]
There they encounter Ereshkigal, finding her face has rotten away. Altera asks her why she attacked Chaldea, even though she’ll disappear before it succumbs to Sumerian Fever. Ereshkigal answers it’s because Chaldea is a threat for reducing her to such a state. Ritsuka asks why she needs to disappear, and she tries to answer when Nergal’s voice interrupts. He tells her to obey him so Kur can be reborn as a realm of pain and suffering. Altera realizes it is Nergal’s Authority using his rage and hatred as an avatar with Ereshkigal weakened. Nergal confirms he is the evil while Ereshkigal is the good, both incarnations of Kur itself, and both represent its future. Ereshkigal then complies with his demands to kill the pair so she can finally disappear. Altera struggles against her until Ereshkigal confesses she discarded something precious. She then tries to give her those discarded memories, but Nergal takes over Ereshkigal’s body to kill Altera. Dumuzid arrives, however, and blocks Nergal's attack. He reveals he recovered and safeguarded Ereshkigal’s memories. Altera then returns Ereshkigal's memories to her, and Dumuzid escapes. With her memories restored, Ereshkigal ejects Nergal from her body and returns to her old self. She realizes her mistake and that Nergal only wanted Kur for his own self-gratification. Altera and Ritsuka then help her banish Nergal. Nergal is shocked Ereshkigal can wield his Authority so effectively, and wonders why he surrendered it to her. Dumuzid reveals he is the malice born from his battle with Ereshkigal, so he lacks memories of what happened afterward. He also reveals Nergal gave his Authority to her as a friendly gesture of respect, but Nergal refuses to believe it and disappears.[20]
Afterward, everyone returns to the Abyss’ surface. Dumuzid reveals once the date becomes December 24, Chaldea will return to December 2017, and Kur will return to December one year prior. Ereshkigal then prepares to return Altera and Ritsuka to Chaldea before the date changes, promising to help in the future. Altera and Dumuzid both remark that her smile made the journey worthwhile. Therefore, Altera decides that Christmas is good civilization. However, she doesn’t understand why Dumuzid helped Ereshkigal since it was her and Ishtar that took his power and life. Dumuzid admits he is neutral, and he holds no ill will towards either goddess. Altera then asks where Ereshkigal stands in his ranking of women, to which he implies she is the sole beautiful flower in Kur. Realizing the date will soon change, Altera and Ritsuka escape Kur at mach speed, wishing it Merry Christmas.[20]
Christmas Event: Holy Samba Night[]
As it is forbidden to have the same Santa for two years in a row, Altera asks Quetzalcoatl to be this year’s Santa. Quetzalcoatl accepts the job and goes to receive the Christmas Grail, but she dons a Santa samba outfit, having misheard Altera. Nevertheless, she happily accepts the situation as is. Leonardo da Vinci interrupts the conversation and demands to know what the strange signal she detected was. Altera’s sheep, Zerco, explains Quetzalcoatl and the Christmas Grail’s myths were incompatible with one another. Quetzalcoatl admits her power was spilt in two, with the other half disappearing elsewhere. Altera agrees and reveals the Christmas Grail is missing as well. But Quetzalcoatl isn’t concerned, believing she can still fulfill her duties as Santa. Altera agrees, saying she’s happy as long as Christmas is peaceful. Then, after Quetzalcoatl suspects the part of her that left her combat-loving side, Altera realizes Quetzalcoatl is a Ruler now and wonders if it’s because the side of her that stopped her people making human sacrifices is stronger.
Later, going against the rules, Altera joins Black Quetzal Mask’s (Quetzalcoatl’s evil self) Santa Tag Team Tournament on behalf of west Asia. Her justification is that she would become Neo Santa, which is totally different according to her, if she gained the “true” Santa power. She also thought no one would mind if she underwent a drastic image change. She loses, however.
After Jaguar Man (the tournament’s rules regulator) is defeated, Altera takes the chance to visit Quetzalcoatl in her team’s personal gym and to see Charlemagne’s niece, Bradamante, who is also Quetzalcoatl’s partner. Inserting herself in theirs and Martha’s conversation, she tries to ease Bradamante’s worry about winning through a secret substitute by telling her cowardice is a matter of perspective, certain she fought battles in the past where she didn’t always loudly proclaim her identity at the outset. Bradamante reluctantly agrees and, surprised, asks Altera who she is. Altera introduces her as Santa Senior and explains why she came to Mexico and why she is visiting now. Bradamante asks her if she knows Charlemagne, but Altera only answers that her relationships are complex and difficult to define. She then tells Bradamante and Quetzalcoatl that they’ll struggle against their next match, which is the semifinals, unless they come up with a killer finisher.
She later watches the livestream of the finals, during which Black Quetzal Masks dons the very concept of Santa Claus extracted directly from the Christmas Grail and claims only a Santa of equal purity can harm her now. Altera just goes along with her claims, completely clueless. She and the other Santa Servants then soon lend Bradamante their power so she can defeat Black Quetzal Mask.
Interlude[]
In her first interlude, The Beast Inside of Me (私の中の獣, Watashi no Naka no Kemono?), Ritsuka Fujimaru enters Altera's dream world, or at least to a certain level that takes a form of a dark wasteland. Altera explains to Ritsuku when they asked if it is a dream, that it's something that can be consider "inside of her," something not physical but psychological, memory of her as the Great King of Huns, King of Destruction, Hero Attilia. She also explained that she didn't thought as a "human being," she didn't felt like one, couldn't feel or think. She also talks how despite supposedly to be looking at her memory, she sees nothing. No friends, no family or hear anyone's voices except gusty winds, kinda smirking about it how despite the fact leding many into battle, how come ont even a single person in her memory.
She called Ritsuka kind, at least that's she thinks people supposedly would call someone like them and then opens up a bit, saying how she never wished to destroy lives but she kept destroying civilizations fasr as they eyes can see, how she couldn't help herself from choosing this way and her deviating from his planet's absolute principle, its purpose of surviving being breeding but she tells how "Destrction" is being something implanted deep within her heart, didn't wanted to willingly kill but wanted to destroy and result of it being people dying, her killing many of them and with the earth always being soaked with blood. However she then says that what is left for her is the dark wilderness as that moment, something approached them. Altera then corrects herself with here being nothing, that they are those like, those who have unclear names, with no faces. Those whom she fought against and killed, saying how she fought and killed without recognizing any of them as individuals as then, she said to that it's time for Ritsuka to use his power, if their summoning system works as there is no choice but to fight if they don't want to die, though Altera says she isn't sure if death exists in this place.
After beating the first wave, she congratulates Ritsuka for a job done and managing to stay alive because of the summoning system. When asked if it's actually a dream after feeling of our mana being used from the summoning system, Altera answered it is a dream but their minds here are real since the magical energy existing as a link between their mind and body, so it's natural for them to use it.
She asked if they used it all up and when we answers that no, she says it's good to hear as it's not over yet as something else approached, with Altera already noticing it doesn't even look like a human, wondering what they are, having a feeling of a dim memory of having killed a monster or maybe it being formed by some sort of concept. Altera comments that, for a mere concept, it's ready to kill. Altera says she is ashamed she could pass out, cannot believing to even envy such a thing. She then explains how things like feelings and emotion that she lacked, she had gained but cannot controlling them well, like she can understand a joy but doesn't know how to express it. When Ritsuka says that they should focus on the monster before them, Altera agrees and complimenting how Ritsuka knows their priorities, that they need to defeat the thing first, also revealing that if Rituska will die here, they will actually die, with her being free from this subordination and them being free from life but then adding that it wouldn't be fun and telling them to not die, wanting to talk just a little longer to them.
After defeating that, Altera is impressed with Ritsuka, having a better opinion of them as she expected they would stand frozen or similar to it, also saying she underestimated their way of existience, the one trying to save the world. Altera comments that it's time for Ritsuka to go back as this place isn't appropriate for them to stay long as it only needs her, this place, this darknes, belonging to "her." After that, Ritsuka wake up, being greeting by Mash who says they didn't come out at the scheduled time, so she came to check how they are doing but she can see Ritsuka overslept. Mask asked if they are okay as she noticed Ritsuka seemed to be troubled by their dream. After answering, Mash asked if it's so, asking if we didn't mind if we can tell her more but then she backsdown, telling that breakfast is ready and that they should go.[8]
In her second interlude, My Memories (私の記憶, Watashi no Kioku?), Altera, Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight went to the Second Singularity that's being corrected, 1st century Gaul due to Altera sensing someone calling her here. When Dr. Roman asked if Altera is sure, calling her by "Attila," Altera firstly says to not call her that name and then saying she is sure it's around here, describing it being a destructive impulse, being extraordinary, and that even if it destroyed everything in sight, it wouldn't still calm down. While Romani cannot understand it, Mash says Altera probably meant she sensed something to that of magical energy which Altera doesn't denies but she says it's more like a forced command, one more powerful than Command Spells. Just then Altera sensed and warned that it's already apporoaching them, a collection of destructive impulses as then Mash detects it to be a servant but since they have picked it up just now, Mash figures that it's been hiding in its spirit form until their arrival. A servant is revealed to be Brynhildr that mistakes Altera as one of the women who tried to get close to Sigurd due to Altera having a smell similar to that of Sigurd's which Altera is confuse since she doesn't remember anyone with that name, so Mash explains that it's not Sigurd per se but someone who shares the same origin and legend as him, saying Altera had met him already.
In the flashback, in Chaldea. Mash, Ritsuka, Dr. Romani, Siegfried and Altera talked about how Siegfried and Altera married "the same woman," that being Kriemhield, after Siegfried's death and possible previous wife of Altera's death. Altera tries to remember it but she says that, while being familiar with a name, it feeling unrealistic for her to have a wife as she knows nothing except for war and destruction, so she never directed her attention to anything else, so she thinks it's possible Kriemhild was there for her. Romani theorizes one of Altera's retainers probably played it smart and had them married for diplonatic reasons. Siegfried had some thoughts on it but it not being the place to talk about it as he heard that Kriemhild used King Etzel/Altera for her revenge which was due to his own death so he isn't in position to accuse Altera. When Altera hears the name "Etzel," she comments it's not a bad name, with her trying to hide that she likes the name due to it sounding "cute."
Returning to the present, Mash asked if Altera remembers now, with Altera saying she does, that Siegfried is a different existence or hero than Sigurd as she heard both of them are heroes with the same origin, however Brynhild, still not in her right mind and misunderstanding things, tell Altera to fight her with everything she got, to which Altera agrees for that wish as all she can do is wield the sword of destruction.
After defeating Brynhild, she snaps out of madness and explained what happened, Brynhild is sadden she did something like this since she sometimes attack men but not usually women which Roman agrees, especially with Brynhild's Noble Phantasm feeling like it's way that but either way, being happy misunderstanding was cleared up. Altera said to Brynhild she was lucky to fight such a powerful individual as her since it helped her adjust the aim for her Noble Phantasm.[5]
In her third interlude, My Sword of the God of War (私の、軍神の剣, Watashi no, gunshin no ken?), Ritsuka ends up in Altera's "dream world" again, now being a cave. Altera greets them, asking if they remember the last time which they do, Altera being kinda surprise but says that she have to come to understnad that human memories are unpredictable. After it Altera explains they are in her memories that equates to the wasteland however that place has nothing of value according to Altera. Rephrasing it, Altera explains this is the memory of her birth, given a shape by memories created before her so-called life. When Ritsuka asks, she explains this cave is where she was discovered, where she awakaned, with this cave being remnants of a civilization thousands of years ago, or so she heard. Altera asks how to Ritsuka see it, as she only see it as a dark cave as then she explains this cave is an ancient ruin left in the Sahara Desert where within, the Hun elders sought her out. She reveals to Ritsuka she wasn't born a Hun but those who raised her and made her into their king were undoubtedly the Hun elders, telling them her story and that after killing a solder in her youth, the Hun elders said that she existed to fight. She was asked to become destruction itself, so that what she did, she became destruction incarnate. Altera says she didn't want to, yet she didn't and still don't understand value of life, how she doesn't know many things or very much of this world's matters. She asked Ritsuka if things are taken, broken, killed... what becomes of it? She said that they simply vanish from this land for eternity, plain and simple. She says that destruction is something easy to do, yet irreversible, however her existence adapted well to the act. When Ritsuka asked did it pain her, she answers that it's a difficult question due to not feeling the emotions. When Altera wanted to continue to speak, she stopped after feeling the thing from the wasteland has come to pursue her. When it came, Altera said she won't mind if Ritsuka steps aside and watches her fight but Ritsuka joins to help her to which Altera lets it.
After defeating it, Altera apologizes Ritsuka as it seemed that her idle chatter has attracted something unnecessary, however Ritsuka don't mind and to continue, Altera calls them sure curious. She continues that inside the vessel shaped as she is, she doesn't feel the emotions such as the sadness or happiness like other people do, being there only destruction, saying all her hands can do is destroy, shatter and kill yet somtimes she thinks, despite her hands bringing nothing but destruction, just like humands who live honestly on this earth, she wants to feel affection, embrace something or someone. She wants to acknowledge everything on Earth, not destroy it. Want to gain emotions and become a woman, being what she dreams. Altera wonders what she would have become, what could be the makeup of "her," giving examples that maybe she could read books, sings or cooked. Just then Altera is cut short by a mysterious voice, revealed to be shadow version of herself. It tells Altera she is the incarnation of destruction which Photon Ray proves it, saying her existence is destruction and nothing else. Altera tells it doesn't need to remind her since she already knows it, calling it a meddlesome one. It contines that no matter what time period, kind of world, she will destroy everything as they get to battle, Altera commenting its voice starts to get on her nerves.
After defeating it, Altera says it's fine and asks herself how many times she destroyed like this but she cannot count but that one feeling a bit different this time around as if she would expressed herself like a human, she would say it was fun as she comments not remembering ever showing weakness before. Altera says that even though Ritsuka may not remember when they wake up, she apologizes for getting them caught up in all this but also thanking them as it was her first time being able to reject her memory by means other than her own will after which Ritsuka wakes up[7]
Abilities[]
Although she is classified as one, Altera's combat abilities surpass those of Heroic Spirits.[2] Upon ascension, she mentions that her current vessel is harmonizing with her main body, and even upon reaching maximum ascension, she says that her strength is still limited by her vessel.[2] According to Mash Kyrielight, Altera's enormous Magical Energy rivals that of a Dragon.[21] Lev Lainur Flauros also regards Altera as the strongest hero, and he was certain that she would defeat Ritsuka Fujimaru's party even though they had just defeated Romulus as he had prepared Altera's summoning in advance as a contingency plan, should Romulus ever be defeated.[10]
Combat[]
Altera is capable of dodging Scáthach's surprise attack, though was unable to destroy Scáthach's spear, much to her suprise. After Scáthach deems her too dangerous, Fergus mac Róich decided to delay her with Caladbolg while the others escape.[21] In -mortalis:stella it was shown that she was capable of fighting against Nero, Mash, and Jing Ke to a standstill.[22]
Mordred claimed that Altera could take a blow from Clarent to the face and keep standing after the dust settled.[23]
Skills[]
Class Skills[]
- Magic Resistance (B Rank): The ability resists magic. At B Rank, it cancels the use of spells with a chant that is three verses or below. Altera receives almost no damage even against High-Magecraft and Greater Rituals.[2]
- Riding (A Rank): The ability to pilot vehicles and mounts. She is able to operate all vehicles and beasts freely except for Divine Beasts and Dragon Kinds.[2]
- Divinity (B Rank): Altera is not related to a Divine Spirit by blood; however, Europe was overrun on what was considered to be the Authority of God, being labeled the 'Scourge of God'. Because of this, Altera has a high-ranking Divine Spirit aptitude as a Heroic Spirit.[2]
- Civilization Erosion (EX Rank): A subconsciously active Skill of Altera. Anything she grasps is transformed into its 'best' form currently most suited for herself. What its 'best' form is depends on Altera's own perspective and does not necessarily the object at its greatest or most excellent.[2] Usually, what Altera considers the best is her Photon Ray sword.
Personal Skills[]

Altera using the crest to break free from Zhuge Liang's Unreturning Formation.
- Natural Body (D Rank): Having possession of a perfect body as a living being since birth, Altera has access to this Skill. She can temporarily rank up her Strength. Furthermore, no matter how many calories she ingests, her body shape will not change.[1][2] Upgrades to EX Rank and Perfect Construct (EX Rank) in Fate/Grand Order.
- Crest of the Star (EX Rank): The unique pattern imprinted on Altera's body. By expending Magical Energy through it, Altera can temporarily enhance the performance of any desired part of the body. An efficient Skill that costs little mana but lacks the explosiveness of Skills like Mana Burst. In addition, this unique Skill also has the effects of the Instinct Skill. In -mortalis:stella-, it was shown to be powerful enough to destroy Zhuge Liang's Unreturning Formation Noble Phantasm.[1][2][24][25]
- Tactics (B Rank): An instinctive capacity for utilizing tactical knowledge in battles where many are mobilized. Provides a plus modifier when using or defending against Anti-Army Noble Phantasms.[1][2] Upgrades to Scourge of God (A Rank) in the gameplay of Fate/Grand Order.
Noble Phantasms[]
- Photon Ray:A longsword with a somewhat futuristic design and Altera's main weapon. It is a prototype of Divine Contructs and the Sword of the War God Ares. Upon releasing its True Name, the sword's blade starts to spin and Altera charges forward with the power to destroy an enemy camp all the while projecting mana with a rainbow-like light.[1][2]
- Teardrop Photon Ray: Altera's true Noble Phantasm; an attack performed with the Photon Ray. By pointing a laser from the sword's pommel at the sky, Altera signals her location to Mars. Since Mars loathes Altera, he sends his light of authority towards her, which she then usurps and redirects to any location she wishes.[26] In the Septem Singularity, after Altera absorbed the Holy Grail and fired Teardrop Photon Ray, Mash claimed that its tremendous magical energy reminded her of Excalibur Morgan. Mash also stated that Lord Chaldeas wouldn't be able to block it on its own, as she needed the help of Boudica's Chariot of Boudica to block it. After witnessing its power, Nero feared that Altera would burn the Rome capital to ash to which Dr. Roman agreed.[11] In the Solomon Singularity, Romulus was unsure of whether its power was compounded or not, since a long time had passed since he last saw it. However, he claimed that she seemed to wield the sword more skillfully than his father. According to Boudica, it is the virtual manifestation of a Divine Spirit.[27] Although Atroia Pendragon Alter considers Altera herself to be a disappointment, once Altera starts drawing all the mana in the atmosphere into her blade, Artoria acknowledges her Teardrop Photon Ray as a worthy foe. Despite that Noble Phantasm being capable of incinerating the world, Excalibur Morgan overpowered it, annihilating Altera.[28]
Forms and Alternate Versions[]
Santa[]
In this form, Altera is known as Altera the San(ta) (アルテラ・ザ・サン〔タ〕, Arutera za San(ta)?). After most of Chaldea fell ill from the Sumerian Fever, Altera was the only Servant left standing. To save Chaldea and to learn the meaning of Christmas, Altera was made the next Santa and set out to save her companions.[9][29]
Personality[]
Having meant to infer if Christmas was a good or bad 'civilization', Altera relished the chance to be Santa. Saint Graph-wise she is still the same Altera, but since she has a slight fever, her judgment is weaker than usual, and making her more open to instructions, and has become remarkably less interested in destroying civilization. While the usual Altera is 90% a warrior and 10% a girl, Altera Santa has become 40% a warrior and 60% a girl. A romantic at heart, she is happy and excited about being entrusted the role of Santa Claus. Since she believes her role as Santa comes first, her demeanor and responses are softer. Believing her Master to be a reliable partner, she views them as lovely sheep and she refers to them as 'fluffy Master' and relies on their straightforwardness. [9][29]
Abilities[]
In her Santa form, Altera has become an Archer-class Servant. Since she suffers from a slight fever, her Strength and Endurance have decreased by one Rank.
Her Photon Ray sword has changed accordingly into a candy cane-shaped projectile weapon capable of summoning and firing rainbow-like rays and beams onto Altera's enemies and rapid-fire projectiles. However, it can still be used in melee combat, exhibiting the whip-like qualities of the Photon Ray. The cane can also spin to create a rainbow-colored Christmas tree shaped around itself to enable Altera to perform a charge attack not unlike what is seen in the Phonton Ray's True Name release.
Altera also rides a sheep mount is ZercoWP into battle, which is capable of flight. Its signature move is the imitation of Santa Claus Elder, an imaginary character Altera made up.[29] According to Santa Karna, the sheep's body can absorb the impact of his punches.[30]
Class skills[]
- Magic Resistance (C Rank): The ability to resist magic. At C Rank, it invalidates spells with a chant of three verses or lower. Greatly reduces damage taken from greater magecraft and Greater Ritual. Due to being gentler and more emotionally vulnerable in this form, her resistance to magical energy is lower than when she was a Saber.[9][29]
- Riding (EX Rank): The ability to ride vehicles and mounts. Chosen as a Heroic Spirit of Christmas, and engulfed by the quiet flames of a sense of duty, Altera's Riding Skill has significantly increased. Specifically, she has become a master of riding sheep.[9][29]
- Divinity (B Rank): Altera is not related to a Divine Spirit by blood; however, Europe was overrun on what was considered to be the Authority of God, being labeled the 'Scourge of God'. Because of this, Altera has a high-ranking Divine Spirit aptitude as a Heroic Spirit[9][29]
- Civilization Erosion (EX Rank): A subconsciously active Skill of Altera. Anything she grasps is transformed into its 'best' form currently most suited for herself. What its 'best' form is depends on Altera's own perspective and does not necessarily the object at its greatest or most excellent. Because of he status as Santa, the horses she took have turned into sheep and the Sword of the War God into the Cane of the War God.[9][29]
Personal Skills[]
- Gift of the Stars (B Rank): A Skill acquired after becoming Santa Claus focused on giving presents and enriching the heart. Although Altera wants to give presents, she can't quite grasp the desires of others, and also because of her reserved personality, her skill rank is lower than Santa Alter's equivalent Skill, Gift of the Saint. Upgrades to A Rank in the gameplay of Fate/Grand Order.[9][29]
- Natural Body (-): The Skill of having the perfect body. Having become a Heroic Spirit of Christmas, since she cannot regulate her body temperature properly anymore due to having the concept of winter added to her being, and thus the Skill has been lost.[Note 1][9][29]
- Rainbow Sugar Sculpture (B Rank): A Skill that represents the star attached to the Christmas tree top is which are molded after the Star of Bethlehem, which inturn symbolizes the birth of the Messiah. Those struck by Altera Santa's cane with a clunk will be given great blessings akin to a weaker version of Merlin's Hero Creation Skill.[9][29]
- Crest of the Twinkling Star (EX Rank): The Crest of the Star Skill transformed by the concept of Christmas. Through this strong blessing power, Altera awakens the potential engraved on her Saint Graph and allows Altera to achieve her Santa form outside of Christmas for three minutes.[9][29]
Noble Phantasm[]
- Candy Star Photon Ray: A Noble Phantasm Altera gained after transforming her into a candy cane. Flying up into the sky, Altera crashes back onto her foe with her Photon Ray, or Phonton Ram as it could be called, with a flock of flying sheep at her back.[9][29]
Development[]
Creation and Conception[]
Altera was designed by huke in Fate/Grand Order.[1][2] Her scenario writer is Hikaru Sakurai in Fate/Grand Order.[2]
Comment from Illustrator[]
"Miss Altera somewhat regrets that she turned into this difficult design where it was hard to put in and depict her having a fighting spirit. Although I received lots of orders, there are many of them that I do not remember by now in the last 2 years or so, but there are very amazing things written into this setting, huh? What’s going on in this? It is sort of that feeling. That setting… is it not shown yet? I honestly want to see!" (huke)[2]
"The rough sketch I drew when I said 「I’ll do it」 after being requested to do Altera the San(ta) went along easily so I worked happily with that pace. The scenario is the best and Ere-chan is so cute this has naturally entered my TOP3 of works I’m glad to have done! Thank you very much!" (huke)[9]
Notes[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Although listed as "-" in her profile in Fate/Grand Order, Fate/Grand Order material VI lists her Natural Body as D Rank. Because the description states she lost the Skill, it has been decided "-" will be displayed as the rank.

Character
First Pronoun: watashi Second Pronoun: omae / ** (without honorifics) Third Pronoun: yatsu / kyatsu / ** (without honorifics)
○Personality
With her excellent instincts, she can deal with even the drastic of circumstances without abandoning her reason – a proud and logical fighter. However, there is a sort of ’emptiness’ about her.
Regardless of friend or foe, she has some magnanimity for those warriors whose skill (performance) she has acknowledged, but those who stand against her are treated as only obstructions to be removed, and she is fundamentally merciless. There is no hesitation in her blade. In battle, she can coolly and correctly grasp the situation, becoming a merciless killing machine.
Although she recognizes combat as where she is truly in her element, she personally does not like it. She fights because she is a fighter. In the name of the violent and unchained God of War, she kills all who stands in her way and destroys all ‘civilization’ before her, nothing more. She is unused and inexperienced in matters outside of war and combat.
She was born with a fondness for the God of War, Mars (Ares). She would call him “Marc” though she did not enforce this on others. It was just something she preferred.
In truth, she dislikes her more common name of “Attila”. She does not dislike its meaning – ‘father’ or ‘controller’ – but rather its sound, and is somewhat more attached the German “Etzel”. She calls herself “Altera” and wishes to be known as such, but it is difficult to have her explain the reason. Only to the very small number of people she trusts will she quietly disclose the truth – because it does not sound charming or sweet.
○Motivation · Attitude to the Master
She treats her Master stoically, recognizing them as a general or adviser-like figure, and will generally go along with anything they say with an “I see”. Instead of trusting as a human being, the situation is closer to a fighting machine on the battlefield that fully relies on external software (the Master) to process thoughts.
Her wish for the Holy Grail is ‘to live a life not as a warrior’. She does not despise the life that she spent fighting, but she is interested to find out how she would have lived otherwise.
○Dialogue Examples
“My name is Altera. I am a warrior of the god of war and a descendant of the Xionghu.”
“I will demolish that civilization.”
“If the Holy Grail serves as a vessel that records everything, then I’ll… simply destroy it.”
“I will destroy, and I will triumph. Up to now, as well as after this.”
“If I remember correctly, I am also a person called… Attila… Personally, I am not very happy about that. The reason? The reason is… I don’t know how to say it. Eventually, there may even be a reason that I can speak of, but as of right now, that name is just unpleasant.”
○Historical Figure
Attila the Hun was the overlord who established a great empire in the 5th century.
She was a warrior and king of the Huns, the descendants of the Xiongnu.
Leading an army of cavalry, the conquests of this great hero covered a great part of the map, from Western Asia to Russia, Eastern Europe, and even Gaul. It is said that this was one of the causes for the eventual downfall of the Roman Empire.
Throughout her life, she was always in the midst of battle.
Due to the terrifying acts she committed in war, she was greatly feared in all European nations as the “Scourge of God”.
She is a pure “King of War”. In contrast with her martial achievements, she did not succeed politically, and her empire rapidly fell apart and dissolved after her death. However, the awe and dread infused in the name “Attila” remains in the memories of people to this day.
○In Grand Order
She was an avatar of destruction. An engine of war that scythed down the many lives who had stood in her path. That was how she had been made to be… so the elders of the Huns had said to her. That she, Altera, existed for battle.
That she had no father, no mother. That she had been “discovered” by the Huns, descendants of the Xiongnu people. Yes, she had no memories of parents, nor of friends, nor of a family. Instead, the world was filled with enemies.
As shown by the marks of war carved into her flesh from the beginning, she lived only to fight. It was her born nature and her role. It was her purpose to exercise her capabilities as intended, and she never held any doubt on the matter.
Becoming destruction itself, she fought like a raging tempest, king of the Huns yet not one of them.
It barely even registered to her that she had armies at her back as she swung her sword with single mind.
Destruction. Domination. Invasion.
She could not be sated, even as the lands of the Huns grew beyond their ability to control. She merely swung the sword and continued the slaughter. Even in the moment when death came to her, she recalled – as she laid in a pool of her own blood, she had thought only of ways to fell Rome.
However, having become a heroic spirit and taken form as a Servant, she began silently questioning herself. Had she perhaps been too much of a warrior? What if she had not become the embodiment of destruction itself? What if she never gripped the sword of the war god?
She had been feared by Europe as the punishment brought down by their absolute deity, the very whip of God Himself. She had been a fighting machine. History had even forgotten that she was a woman. What life could she have lived, if not as a warrior?
What would she have spent her time on?
Would she have been a traveler, freely circling the world on the back of her horse?
Would she have been a grower of life, tilling the earth as she had seen the people of Europe done?
Would she be baking bread in a smoldering oven? Hunting birds and beasts in the wild?
Would she be learning words and language, and writing it down in books?
Would she, with reddened cheeks and gentle smile, have pressed herself into the breast of another?
She did not know. But she wondered…

Although she witnessed the works of curses in life, as she herself had few ties with magecraft, she holds some actual interest in those pure Casters who practice magecraft.
Comment from Illustrator
Miss Altera somewhat regrets that she turned into this difficult design where it was hard to put in and depict her having a fighting spirit. Although I received lots of orders, there are many of them that I do not remember by now in the last 2 years or so, but there are very amazing things written into this setting, huh? What’s going on in this? It is sort of that feeling. That setting… is it not shown yet? I honestly want to see!アルテラ

[] Fate/EXTELLA material - Encyclopedia: Altera (Earth) [Character], p.096-097 [T] Altera (Earth) [Person]
When the White Titan crumbled to the Earth, it left a small sliver of its lifeforce within its own ruins as a backup. In the world of Fate/EX, the elders of the Hun tribe, descendants of the Xiongnu (Hsiung-nu, Huna), excavated the ruins and found that sliver of life in the form of a human girl. Seeing her potential, they took her in and raised her.
As she grew, living as a Hun and taking on their language and culture, subconscious memories of Altera's previous life swirled in the back of her mind. Because of those memories, she became aware of the “War God”. She asked the elders a question:
“Does the War God have a name?”
The elders replied that there was a War God named Mars in the Western lands.
“Then my blade is the Sword of Mars. I think I would like to name it that.”
Despite the memories and dreams she could never explain, she believed herself to be an ordinary human.
And as a human, she led her people to march across the Western lands, establishing herself as the "Great King of Destruction”.
Said to have lived in the fifth century AD, she carved a great empire through much of the Western world.
Leading armies on horseback, she ravaged battlefields. Her empire was a vast territory consisting of western Asia, Russia, Eastern Europe, and Gaul, conquered through immeasurable bloodshed.
It is even said that she was responsible for the fall of the Western Roman Empire.
In life, she knew war and little else. She was called "punishment from God" and "the Scourge of God" in all corners of Europe. especially Northwestern Rome. The sight of her ferocious figure on the battlefield was widely feared.
...She never knew that her drive to conquer and destroy came from an ideology embedded in her very DNA.
That being said, the Altera on Earth had no other connection with the Umbral Star. She lived and died as a human, revered — among her own people, at least — as a hero. Today. she is known simply as “Attila the Hun.”
From the perspective of the Altera sleeping on the Moon, the life of Attila was but a fanciful dream. This is similar to the circumstances surrounding Saber and "The Forests of Camlann and the Holy Grail War" in Fate/stay night.
But Attila's memories left their mark on Titan Altera, sparking a glimmer of humanity within her. As a result, she began to question her programmed mission.
The Altera in Fate/Grand Order is the Heroic Spirit form of the Titan Altera.
Although the Altera of FGO is no longer connected to the titan version of herself, she recalls traces of that connection, which she considers memories of a previous life she can't quite grasp.
But a vestige of her old self's power is still buried in the depths of her core...アルテラ(地上)【人物】

Profile
Daughter of Odin, the Great God of Northern Europe, and one of the battle-maidens Valkyries. A tragic woman from Norse mythology.
A battle-maiden regarded in the same light as Sigrdrífa, the fated person of the great hero Sigurd in the "Volsunga Saga", she is also similarly portrayed as a Valkyrie who fell in love with Sigurd in the "Sigrdrífumál" and the "Helreið Brynhildar" from Elder Edda.
Level 1 Bond
Height/Weight: 172cm・52kg
Source: Norse mythology
Region: Europe
Alignment: Neutral Good Gender: Female
She is regarded as the younger sister of Attila (King Atli) in the "Volsunga Saga", the "Guðrúnarkviða" and "Sigurðarkviða hin skamma" from Elder Edda and etc.(1)
Level 2 Bond
Calm and devoted. There is some loneliness mixed in the gentle smile of this unfortunate battle-maiden.
Despite behaving like a "doll" with a weak sense of self back when she was a Divine Spirit as the eldest of the Valkyries, after falling on earth upon incurring the wrath of her fatherly Great God, she became endowed with human nature and personality due to the incidental meeting with Sigurd.
Level 3 Bond
Compassionate and full of affection, she thoroughly devotes herself to the person she came to love. A woman who was supposed to spend her lifetime as good wife if it wasn't for that tragedy.
Although she never stopped loving Sigurd more than anyone else, she came to embrace the flames of killing intent at the end of a cursed tragic fate, eventually ending up killing him and also burning herself to ashes.
Level 4 Bond
"Until Death Splits the Two Apart"
Rank: B Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Brynhild Romantia.
A Noble Phantasm that has molded the deep feelings of love towards the fated person as the spear of magic silver that she employed while alive.
The deeper her love towards the target becomes, the more the weight and size of this spear will change. It displays a especially tremendous efficacy in regards to her beloved Sigurd (it is also quite effective towards Siegfried, who has deep connections to him).
Level 5 Bond
Even now, having turned into a Heroic Spirit, she still loves Sigurd deeply.
Nevertheless, if by any chance he is summoned before her, she will automatically point her spear towards him.
This is because, upon being shaped as a Heroic Spirit, both she herself and her Noble Phantasm ended up being given the definition of "something that kills Sigurd".
Interlude
In regards to the "dragon-slayer" hero Siegfried, who possesses the same origins as Sigurd, although she recognizes him as "someone different from Sigurd", it seems that she somehow senses something close to him and thus feverish gazes at him tries to get alone just the two of them (and then tries to kill him).
And also, sometimes towards the Master as well...
(1)So they went ahead and pulled this out as well. When you also take into account the whole Siegfried/EMIYA thing, this whole mess seems like a huge Seiyuu joke.ブリュンヒルデ - ランサー

Look at the sky.
Anyone who harbors a prayer in the holy night should be able to see it.
A rainbow streak that soars across the night sky.
A herd of sheep crying “baa”.
And the figure of a lovely Santa, dressed in a bold costume and with a slight cold...!
Her name is Altera, the Sun(ta).
The Western Great King, the sword-princess possessing the Crest of the Stars awakened from an unfortunate fate to the mission as a Santa Claus and stood up without giving in to her first poor physical health ever (slight fever) - the reliable Third Heroic Spirit of Christmas.
On this occasion, she is being accompanied by many nomadic riders thanks to the anecdote as a Great King... or so it should have been, but all of them have the shape of cute sheep (yet, of cosmic specifications(1)). Why is that?
Level 1 Bond
Height/Weight: 160cm・48kg
Source: Merry Christmas of the Netherworld
Region: Finland (self-proclaimed)
Alignment: Chaotic Good Gender: Female
The name of the sheep she rides is Zerco.
Her special move is an imitation of the elder Santa Claus.
*elder Santa Claus is a creature of Altera’s imagination.
Level 2 Bond
An overly healthy body, an overly healthy mind and a somewhat stupid... er, pure personality brought about an unique opportunity to her.
When the Chaldea staff collapsed due a mysterious fever, as the sole “Servant who could move”, Altera, the Sun(ta) jumped out while riding the fine sheep Zerco, all for the sake of Chaldea’s peace and Christmas.
For Altera - who had her eyes in the civilization called Christmas for quite some time - this role was something desirable.
Changing into a showy Santa costume, she dived into the sky of the Netherworld.
The sole point of uneasiness being the chilliness of the Santa costume, which made Altera tilt her head and think:
“Compared to my usual clothes, isn’t this size just too little...?”
Level 3 Bond
While her personality is basically that of Altera’s, since she is currently harboring a slight fever, her usual powers of judgement declined and she became more likely to explain things clearly. It also seems that the cuteness・loveliness of her appearance has increased.
Due to (thanks to) the fever, her civilization destruction meter has declined considerably.
The usual Altera is composed of 90% personality of a warrior and 10% personality of a young girl, but the Altera Santa is 40% personality of a warrior 60% personality of a young girl.
Since Altera’s true nature is girlish and romanticist, she is happy and excited about having been entrusted with the role of Santa Claus.
As she sees the Master as a reliable partner and a beautiful sheep, she calls him/her “Fluffy Master”.
Since she is telling herself to act as Santa Claus rather than as Altera, her demeanor・responses are gentler than usual.
In order to deliver the “precious gift” she was entrusted with by the shining sheep, she is relying on the Master in a straightforward manner.
Level 4 Bond
- Magic Resistance: C
Since she cannot object when receiving complaints such as “this is not the present I wished for” due to her inherent kindness, her Magic Resistance has declined when compared to her time as a Saber.
- Riding: EX
Having been chosen as a Heroic Spirit of Christmas and become enveloped in the flames of a silent sense of duty, Altera’s Riding skill has greatly improved・mutated.
To be specific, she became a sheep master.
The figure of her riding the fine horse... or rather, fine sheep Zerco reminds people of the strongest king of the nomadic equestrian tribe・Huns... reminds... does it?
- Civilization Corrosion: EX
A skill that Heroic Spirit Altera unconsciously invokes. It transmutes(2) whatever she grabs on her hand into something with the greatest attributes for her current self. This “greatest” does not mean “excellent”, but rather indicates Altera’s own personal obsession.
It goes without saying what is Altera’s current obsession.
The horses which she should originally take along as subordinates were all turned into sheep (or something like it), and the Sword of the War God that was her favorite blade has been conversely modified into a Cane (staff) of the War God.
Level 5 Bond
- Gift of the Starrer(3): B
A skill acquired by turning completely into Santa Claus.
By giving present, she moisten the heart.
Although Altera wants to give presents, she cannot quite grasp the desires of others, and also due her modest personality, the rank of this skill is lower than Santa Alter (Artoria). For some reason, the name of this skill has also changed somewhat.
- Rainbow Candy Cane: B
The star attached on the tip of a Christmas tree is called Star of Bethlehem, and is regarded to symbolize the birth of the messiah.
It has been said that when Altera’s staff strikes with a ‘pow’, great blessings and graces is bestowed to that person.
- Crest of the Twinkling Star: EX
A skill that mutated by fusing the peculiar pattern carved in Altera’s body and the concept of Christmas.
By means of those strong blessing powers, Altera awakens the latent abilities carved in her Saint Graph and becomes capable of operating as Altera Santa on the Earth for only three minutes!
A super power up of just 3 turns, which puts her life on the line.
- Natural Body: -
By becoming a Heroic Spirit of Christmas and having the concept of winter added to herself, she can no longer properly control her body temperature and this was unfortunately lost.

Photon Ray can also be called Photon Ram.
Please enjoy the grand *** circus by Altera’s subordinates - the sheep.
She has a secret rivalry with the great parade of pigs that form Caster of Okeanus’ Noble Phantasm, but that is another episode.
Far away from the rock chamber.
Disconnected from memories and records, even if that great solitude has not yet been healed.
The dreaming sheep is like a rainbow covering the holy night.

かねてからクリスマスという文明を見定めたかったアルテラにとって、この役回りは望むところ。
華やかなサンタ服に着替え、彼女は冥界の空にダイブしたのである。
