April (エイプリル, Eipuriru?) is the protagonist of The Room of the April Witch.
Profile[]
Background[]
April's background is obscure. What is known is that she was once accused of being a witch and lied about it, and as a result was tortured and burned at the stake. When she reincarnated and falsely admitted to being a witch, she was punished by God for it, becoming a true witch, unable to die with the powers to make lies a reality and causing the deaths of many. April shut herself up in her room and stopped meeting anyone. But she was too lonely like that, so just once per year on April 1st she unlocked the door.[1]

Abilities[]
April has the ability to make lies a reality. As a witch, she cannot die. Even after being insulted, defiled and killed by a witch hunter who sliced her neck, gouged out her chest, and took her heart, placing it into a box, before burning it with holy oil until only white ash remained, she still existed as a witch.[1]
