Avenger of Shinjuku (新宿のアヴェンジャー, Shinjuku no Avenjā?) is an Avenger-class Servant able to be summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order. They are initially Rider of Shinjuku (新宿のライダー, Shinjuku no Raidā?) before absorbing another Phantom and having their class change to Avenger.

Avenger's True Name is Hessian Lobo (ヘシアン・ロボ, Heshian Robo?).

Lobo (ロボ, Robo?), the King of Currumpaw, was an actual gray wolf (there are diverging opinions) whose name became widespread after being featured on Seton’sWild Animals I Have Known”. The story goes that he rampaged on the Currumpaw Plains, a vast American pasture, killing over 2,000 heads of cattle in the space of 5 years and slaughtering 250 sheep in a single night without eating them. Naturally, the ranch owners attempted to bring him down by employing all sorts of methods (from poison, to guns and even traps), but supposedly Lobo paid no mind to those. Employed as a famous hunter, Seton came up with an idea: instead of directly facing Lobo (who was feared as “the devil incarnate"), he would make use of his mate - the white wolf Blanca. The curious Blanca was caught in a bear trap and killed by humans. Seeking his mate’s corpse, Lobo was finally caught in a trap. It has been said that the captured Lobo refused all meals from humans and died just like that.[1]

Hessian (ヘシアン, Heshian?) refers to the German mercenaries that came to America after being hired by the British government, and the nameless mercenary that rides Lobo was also one of them. Still, the story goes that he got his head blown off after receiving a cannon fire and, without realizing that he was already dead, began to roam about on Sleepy Hollow.[1] He became known as the "Headless Horseman" in the The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Dr. Jack GriffinEdit

As they are unstable as a Servant due to both of them being Phantoms, they fuse with several more Phantoms. One such Phantom is Dr. Jack Griffin (ジャック・グリフィン博士?), granting them invisibility. While he does not appear to have any influence, there are three individuals listed under the "Gender" section of their status page.

Unlike actual history, the King of Currumpaw surpasses over 3m in length.[1]

Mutual understanding and the likes are impossible. What we have here is a beast that scatters hatred.[1]

While most mounts typically obey the will of their rider, who makes all the decisions in whatever tasks, the Hessian Lobo is the opposite where the mount makes the decisions and the rider simply obeys whatever decision the wolf makes. The relationship between the nameless mercenary and the King of Currumpaw seems to be on a minimally cordial level. While Lobo initially doesn't like the idea of having someone riding his back, the wolf finds the warrior's existence to be beneficial as he cooperatively kills all of Lobo's enemies without complaint. While Lobo has never opened up to the headless rider, only thinking him as a tool, the nameless mercenary seems to care about Lobo as he willingly chose to fight enemies, alone, to let an injured Lobo escape.

Animal Dialogue (動物会話, Dōbutsu Kaiwa?) is communication of intention with animals that do not speak a 'language of words'.[6]
