Black Giants (黒い巨人?) (localized as Dark Giant) are man-made Divine Spirit-class monsters. Every single time one has appeared, the Holy Grail and/or Maxwell's Demon has been directly responsible for their creation.
History[]
Characteristics[]
According to Maxwell's Demon, they are magical energy distortions that emerge as byproducts of his Noble Phantasm.
They would appear all over the Sengoku Singularity after some time, like a chain of fatal errors in the system that keepd the Singularity active (Logos React Generic).[1]

Variations[]
Neo Fuhrer[]
Neo Fuhrer (真なる総統?) is the result of transplanting the Hand of Glory into the Fuhrer's right hand, to use it as a Catalyst to summon the "True Fuhrer." Powered by Maxwell's Demon and the Holy Grail which provides unlimited Magical Energy, Caster used the Holy Grail Mud to corrupt the Fuhrer, turning it into "Neo Fuhrer."[2] Neo Fuhrer is a being way beyond the scale of a Holy Grail War. Even the combined efforts of Okita Souji, Oda Nobunaga empowered by all Command Spells, and spearless Li Shuwen are unable to take it down. It took summoning Okita Souji Alter as a Guardian of the Counter Force to take him down with her Absolute Sword - Endless Three-Stage.[3][4]
Demon King of the Sixth Heaven - Akechi Mitsuhide[]
- Main article: Demon King of the Sixth Heaven - Akechi Mitsuhide
Demon King of the Sixth Heaven - Akechi Mitsuhide (第六天魔王・明智光秀?) was created through accumulating the mana of Servants that perished in the repeating Holy Grail War that Akechi Mitsuhide created in the Imperial Tokyo Singularity to a forge a Saint Graph of a higher purity, similar to a Kodoku RitualWP. Its original intent was to create Akechi's ideal version of Nobunaga using Nobunaga herself as a catalyst.[5] However after Nobunaga rejected his vision of an ideal world, Akechi decided to become his ideal Nobunaga by pouring the Grail's black mud onto himself to become this horrible monstrosity.[6]
Its Saint Graph Designation is Caster.
Demon of ●●●[]
During the Sengoku Singularity, Kaiser Nobunaga uses a Holy Grail fragment to awaken an unidentified Black Giant after realizing that her chances at defeating Nagao Kagetora, her Echigo self, and Mori Nagayoshi aren't in her favor. Chief Retainer Mash Kyrielight notes that the appearance of the giant resembles Demon King of the Sixth Heaven - Akechi Mitsuhide. Despite being classified as a Divine Spirit-class monster by Kagetora, their team effort ends up defeating it. Before vanishing, Kaiser Nobunaga says that she should have expected this outcome and that it didn't even count as a prototype. It was downright defective.[7]
God of Makuzu[]
God of Makuzu is a Black Giant appearing in the Sengoku Singularity, created by High Priest Makuzu with the Holy Grail and Maxwell's Demon. Every source of Magical Energy has a limit, no matter how strong that energy might be. However, thanks to Maxwell's Demon, which generates limitless Magical Energy, Lord Makuzu's energy is utterly without limits.[8] With a heart of infinity embedded within its flesh, he can make any wish come true, even as it remains unfulfilled.[8][9] Maxwell states that it is a truly omnipotent demon, able to remake every aspect of the Sengoku Singularity at will.[8] The Priest also claims that its power is perfect and absolute, and that even the greatest Heroic Spirit is helpless before it. With the Demon King Nobunaga gone, no one in the Sengoku Singularity can defy him. Even without manifesting, his Magical Energy is powerful enough to restrain Nagao Kagetora, Mori Nagayoshi, and Mash Kyrielight's movements. Not even Kagetora, the avatar of Bishamonten can move freely unless it lets her. The priest is impressed that Mori is able to move at all while under his presence.[9]
Using Maxwell's Demon, High Priest Makuzu is able to spawn multiple Black Giants, each resembling the Demon of ●●●. Every time one is killed, more pop up in its place. Thanks to Lord Makuzu's Magical Energy, they can make as many of them as they wish. Oryou states that they basically have infinite respawns. They are essentially magical energy distortions that emerge as byproducts of Maxwell's Demon. To put it another way, they're like a chain of fatal errors in the system that keep the singularity running.[8]
When manifesting its True form, Mash Kyrielight states that its Magical Energy signal is even stronger than the others. It is described as an immeasurably powerful being even stronger than Maxwell had calculated. With the reactor going haywire, there's nothing the Servants aiding Ritsuka Fujimaru can do to stop him. Even Mori Nagayoshi's Boneless Man can't even scratch him. Although Nagao Kagetora's Bishamonten's Eight Phases Wheel Charge Formation is able to overpower it, the High Priest Makuzu simply uses the Holy Grail to regenerate it.[8] When Demon King Nobunaga arrives to fight it, she states that Makuzu is really a being on par with the gods. Or rather, he is pretty much a god in its own right. The reason so many Nobunagas were summoned in the Sengoku Singularity was to bring him down. Thanks to Kagetora's previous attack, Maxwell was able to regain some control over his Noble Phantasm, and used it to empower Nobunaga. Maxwell tells Nobunaga to knock herself out, as she now has enough mana to do whatever she likes. Although Nobunaga releases her fire projectiles to aid Chaldea, they are still unable to put down God of Makuzu for good, since the Holy Grail stored in its chest keeps it anchored to the world. To defeat it, the Holy Grail must be removed from the equation first, however, no matter how much Mori strikes it, it doesn't come off. It is thanks to Okita Souji using Lightless, Three-Stage Thrust to destroy the Grail instead that it finally fades away.[10]
God of Makuzu's Saint Graph Designation is Archer in Fate/Grand Order.
