A brave warrior from CelticWP and Ulster MythologyWP. A member of the Knights of the Red Branch and the strongest warrior in UlsterWP. A hero who won fame by employing the invincible magic spear he received from the leader of the underworld, Scáthach.
Cú Chulainn's figure was mutated by means of Queen Medb's desire; he is a Servant reflecting the wish made upon the Holy Grail by Medb "for a wicked monarch similar to both myself and Cú Chulainn." He wolfs down on the land of America as the Mad King Cú Chulainn (狂王クー・フーリン, Kyōnō Kū Fūrin?). A calamity-class enemy from the Fifth Singularity of Fate/Grand Order.
By some sort of cause, the equipment all over his body has changed into a black and red color scheme. The upper part of his bodysuit is absent, leaving his chest exposed and revealing a unique tattoo design on his chest and abdomen. His shoes have very high heels. He wears a hood over his head.
The most noticeable change is Berserker's spiked tail, which gives him a beastly appearance. His skin is also tanned.
Cú Chulainn became the king of massacre. He attained a nature of ferocity, as if he is a beast, but the sternness of that vitality is not for the sake of "survival", but for the "sake of attaining death". What is this beast's desire? It is not to survive. It is to keep sprinting. A beast eats meat for the sake of survival, not for the sake of sprinting. For this reason, this Cú Chulainn discarded even the futile desire of "to eat". Just quickly. Just at a distant place. Just for no meaning. To use up all his strength, looking for and believing in a goal of finding a place for himself to die.
Cú Chulainn massacres all enemies, whether they are virtuous people, Heroic Spirits, or comrades. He does not think battles are fun. He concluded that it is merely paperwork. The distinction between enemies and allies is clear, and in case that one stands as an enemy, he will not falter, even if his opponent is Scáthach. Even if it is against a friend who appears to repeat their mistake in battle, he is without mercy. His existence stands at the summit of Celtic warriors, the Celts being a combat race, and the absence of his pangs of conscious makes every person shudder.
Cú Chulainn's attitude to his Master is truly indifferent. Because he takes into consideration of himself as a battle machine, as a blade, he will not go against even absurd commands, no matter what kind it is, as long as if it appears likely that the commands are not impossible to do. However, he will completely not respond to commands with the exception of those with relevance to battle. He holds the idea that he is an existence with the purpose to kill his opponents, and with the exception of those matters, he holds a strong will to not participate in anything else.
There is absolutely no joy towards battle, but merely doing battle for the sake of verifying his existence as "king". Many Servants denounced that state of being to be "foolish", but that is justified. The "king" that Cú Chulainn saw in life was foolish, without exception. Nonetheless, his craving for victory is much stronger than the normal Cú Chulainn. That's because gaining victory is a natural duty. It is possible for him to conversate and logically think, but fundamentally, it does not consist of him conversating with his opponents because he points the vector wholly at "gaining victory in battle". Hence, there is no compassion in him and begging for one's life would absolutely have no effect against him.
- The one who created Cú Chulainn Alter. Until the end, the queen couldn't help but corrupt him, and she continued to direct her passionate love towards him.
- "The greatest wall. Crush, overcome, trample. This is not the burning desire to fight, but the hope of victory. Things like the emptiness after winning, it'll be nice if such things can be fed to dogs."
- Cú Chulainn
- "My light side... isn't he too bright? Is he for real?"
Fifth Singularity: E Pluribus Unum
Manifested through Medb's wish on the Holy Grail for him to stand by her side as a strong and wicked king, Cú Chulainn Alter leads the Celts as their king in their destructive campaign against all who aren't them. Before Chaldea’s arrival, he fought Rama while the latter was searching for his wife, Sita. Rama says it shouldn’t be possible for the former to be corrupted if he transcended good and evil by obtaining strength through sheer will and determination alone. Cú Chulainn Alter refutes he is like this because he transcended good and evil, saying he only kills his enemies as per the sole law of the battlefield. Rama points out how Cú Chulainn Alter brutally slaughtered the weak. Cú Chulainn Alter criticizes Rama for sparing the weak, yet killing the strong. Rama launches Brahmastra at full power, but it’s ineffective and he is struck by Gáe Bolg. To Cú Chulainn Alter’s surprise, Rama is still alive and standing despite having 80% of his heart destroyed. Geronimo and his Resistance then arrive to rescue Rama. Cú Chulainn Alter slaughters the resistance members who stayed behind to hold him off. Afterwards, he notices Rama is gone, but he doesn’t care since Ram will die soon from his injuries. He then rests after finishing off his remaining victims.
When Fionn mac Cumhaill report his and Diarmuid Ua Duibhne's failure to eliminate the United Western States rear base, Cú Chulainn Alter decides to pardon them. He warns though that they won't get a third chance. After Fergus mac Róich is sent out by Medb to kill the Servants that Chaldea plan to meet, Cú Chulainn Alter ponders with Medb on how Chaldea and their allies will react. He reprimands Medb for not destroying the United Western States while they were still weak. Medb admits she didn't think Thomas Edison would go so far, feeling he has something besides the Grail backing him. Cú Chulainn Alter finds that alarming, but says he'll kill Edison in time. He then orders Medb to ensure preparations are in order.
Medb later summons him when Geronimo, Robin Hood, Billy the Kid, and Nero Claudius attempt to assassinate her. Thanks to Medb’s wish, he is unaffected by Nero’s theater. Nero asks him how he will rule, to which Cú Chulainn Alter answers through violence. He’ll destroy himself once he’s destroyed everyone else. Ignoring Nero calling him a mindless beast, Cú Chulainn Alter says it’s pointless to build anything in a Singularity. He fights her while Medb and Arjuna fight the others, believing it’s his duty to kill her as king if she calls herself emperor. After her theater is destroyed, Nero asks him what he seeks, to which he answers nothing. Cú Chulainn Alter then finishes her off with Gáe Bolg. Afterwards, he pursues Robin, who escaped earlier at the others' behest, with Medb and Arjuna.
They eventually catch up to him, but Scáthach stops Arjuna from killing him. Cú Chulainn Alter tells him to stand down, knowing his former mentor is too much for Arjuna. Scáthach confirms she is his enemy, but decides not to fight him at the moment because Robin stills need to escape. Cú Chulainn Alter allows Robin to escape, and tells Scáthach to fight him once everyone else is dead, so none can stand in their way. Scáthach then escapes using a shield rune.
As the climatic battle between the Americans and Celts begins, Medb tells Cú Chulainn Alter about Fionn and Diarmuid being killed by Ritsuka's party. He is more interested in what the living are doing when a soldier arrives with a report. He reports the Americans have split their armies into north and south, with the south currently heading towards them. Cú Chulainn Alter decides to send out the troops, and Medb says to split them into north and south armies. She orders Beowulf to be put in charge of the north army, and for Arjuna to be put in charge of the south army. After the soldier leaves, Cú Chulainn Alter deduces the American south army is the true main force, so Medb figured the north army is meant to buy them time. Cú Chulainn Alter asks Medb if her army is prepared, warning Servants are strongest when accompanying their Master. She admits Beowulf and Arjuna are strong warriors, but they barely have the will to fight. Despite that, Cú Chulainn Alter decides they'll charge in with full force. He then leaves to join the battle.
He later fights Scáthach in a forest, with their spears countering each other so they can’t make a fatal strike. Scáthach admits she wished Cú Chulainn killed her when she was a regular human, but she refuses to be killed by his current self. Cú Chulainn Alter admits he never dreamt of being a king in life like Medb wished, but says it’s common for Servants to harbor new dreams. Scáthach finds it contradictory that he’s trying to become a king as a result of becoming a king by destroying everything. She then tries to use Gate of Skye to banish Cú Chulainn Alter to the Land of Shadows, but he uses Curruid Coinchenn to mortally wound her. Scáthach wonders why he insists on being ugly when he loved living and fighting. Cú Chulainn Alter replies being ugly is how a king is to him. He bids farewell to his former mentor after she seemingly dies, suspecting they won’t meet again.
While Karna and Arjuna are fighting each other, Cú Chulainn Alter takes advantage to impale Karna with Gáe Bolg. After reprimanding Arjuna for indulging in his personal vendetta, he tells Ritsuka’s party that he killed Scáthach. During the ensuing fight, the strength of Mash’s shield impresses him, having not heard of one so powerful, even in folklore. He ignores it though and prepares to kill Mash with Gáe Bolg when Merlin suddenly projects himself through Fou, and traps him in an illusion. Karna takes advantage to hit him with Vasavi Shakti, but it was too weak to kill him, and Karna disappears. However, it was enough to force Cú Chulainn Alter to retreat to Washington to recover.
In the White House, Cú Chulainn Alter is told by Florence Nightingale to either commit suicide or allow himself to be defeated. She deduces he cannot feel joy, thus he fights automatically and mechanically as a king. It was the same for her, as she abandoned her humanity to heal others. She and Cú Chulainn Alter are different though because he has no aspirations. The group then fights him and Medb. Though mortally wounded by Brahmastra, Medb uses the Grail to summon Clan Calatin to attack the north army. She then gives the Grail to Cú Chulainn Alter before disappearing. Cú Chulainn Alter’s Magical Energy weakens due to the self-correction of the era strengthening with Medb now gone. The group then fight Cú Chulainn Alter.
As Clan Calatin is destroyed, the group has defeated Cú Chulainn Alter. However, he uses the Grail to incarnate himself into Halphas. As Halphas, he proclaims humans are fated to fight forever. Nightingale refutes him, believing it will end when the lives saved outweighs those lost. Declaring she’ll stop it, Nightingale and the others soon destroy Halphas.
Final Singularity: Solomon
According to Dr. Roman and Rama, Cú Chulainn is Ireland's most renowned and strongest hero. Thus, Rama states that his loss against Cú Chulainn Alter was inevitable. However, this is not the same Berserker form he had when he was alive, nor how he is supposed to be when summoned as a Berserker. Although Geronimo initially believed that Cú Alter's great power was the fruit of him being the holder of the Holy Grail, Cú Alter later revealed that he doesn't care about the Grail, and that he gave it to Medb after being summoned. The reason he is so strong is that Medb wished for it. She wished for Cú Chulainn to become a strong and wicked king who could stand equal to her. After meeting Cú Chulainn Alter for the first time, Scáthach claimed that despite being Cú Chulainn's teacher, she wouldn't be able to defeat THAT version of him. She says that due to Medb's wish, Cú had become a cursed warrior with nothing but the power to become a king. By paying the price of losing his mind, he had surpassed Scáthach herself, similar to how "an idiot without hesitation is strong." On the other hand, Cú also states that Scáthach is not someone who can go down easily, and that she could handle even a thousand spears thrown by him while trying to escape. To defeat her, he would need to be ready to die himself. When Arjuna was about to fight Scáthach, Cú Alter intervened, ordering him to stand down, saying that Scáthach is too much even for Arjuna to handle. In fact, Cú Alter can't imagine any other man besides himself being able to handle her. Cú Alter is a Disaster-Class enemy found in Chapter Five, and Medb claims that he stands at the pinnacle of power.
Due to Medb's wish, even inside Nero Bride's Nuptiae Domus Aurea, Cú Chulainn Alter is still strong enough to push back Nero. Cú fought Nero until her Golden Theatre eventually faded out due to having had so many parts destroyed during their fight. On the outside, Cú Alter finished her off with his Noble Phantasm. Rama is consistently shown to be weaker than Cú Chulainn Alter. Even the combined efforts of Rama, Mash Kyrielight, and Florence Nightingale further empowered by Command Spells are at a disadvantage against him. Although Mash was overwhelmed by his consecutive strikes, she was able to block them. Cú Alter was puzzled by her shield, saying that he couldn't recall a shield so powerful, not even in folklore, and proceeded to activate his Noble Phantasm to finish her off. Had Merlin not intervened by casting an illusion on Cú, he would have killed Mash. Merlin was able to maintain him in a daydreaming state for a few moments, despite Merlin himself still being trapped and asleep in Avalon, about to wake up.
When Medb died, she returned the Holy Grail to Cú Chulainn Alter. Although the power of Cú Chulainn Alter when receiving the backup of the Holy Grail surpasses that of his Lancer and Caster counterparts, at this moment, the Magical Energy surrounding him weakened. With the one who had wished Cú Chulainn into kingship vanished, the era's ability to correct itself strengthened, trying to delete Cú Alter in the process. Dr. Roman states that it's basically like a 0% chance at defeating him was increased to 3%. However, Cú was still being droved by the wish to become a "better king". In his case, "stronger". To fight Rama, Mash Kyrielight, and Florence Nightingale one last time, Cú used the Holy Grail to change his form by undergoing consecutive Saint Graph Ascensions. By the point he reached his final ascension, Rama states that he might just be the strongest Lancer in the world. Nevertheless, he ends up defeated by the three Chaldean servants working together.

|(Fate/Grand Order profile)|
Cú Chulainn Alter boasts an impressive endurance, high enough to survive being hit by Vasavi Shakti, although Karna stated the attack wasn't strong enough to reach him, likely due to having been previously mortally wounded by Cú Alter's surprise attack. The attack still managed to leave all his body scorched, making him retreat to heal himself. In his 2nd Interlude, Cú also displays outstanding resistance to poison, being able to endure Semiramis's attacks not only long enough to defeat her and Robin Hood, but to keep fighting multiple other Servants short after. Despite being weakened, he was able to take Medb's Chariot My Love head-on, regarding it as a joke. He also defeated Karna with a single thrust. Even after he killed both Karna and Medb, Hans Christian Andersen claimed that no matter how many enemy servants he defeated, he wouldn't get pass Heracles. Although Cú was still strong enough to kill Heracles several times, with each resurrection, Heracles kept going up against him with more strength, absolutely crushing him by grinding his bones and tearing his muscles. After Ritsuka Fujimaru arrived to help Cú and heal him, Cú sneak attacked Saber Alter who was commanding Heracles in the background. Saber Alter blocked his attack without much problem.
- Mad Enhancement (EX (equivalent to C)): Because this version of Cú has been born through a desire wished upon the Holy Grail, logical conversation is possible although Mad Enhancement bonuses are actually equivalent to Rank C. However, in practice, it is impossible for him to talk with an adversary because it will only end up being ineffective in regards to whatever sophistry was tried. He does not make a choice other than to push forward towards his purpose.
- Divinity (C Rank): As a Demigod son of Sun God Lugh, Cú has a high Divine Spirit aptitude. However, due to being Altered this skill has ranked down from his usual rank.
- Madness of the Spirits (A Rank): Cú Alter has the ability to awaken the spirits sleeping within the earth and crush the wills and minds of the enemy forces with his growl. This mental interference causes a temporary decrease in Strength and Agility in all enemies.
- Battle Continuation (A Rank): Never gives up no matter what until the very end. A mad beast's obsession. Cú Alter can remain alive as long as he doesn't receive a decisive fatal wound. It allows him to fight even with deadly injuries.
- Rune Magecraft (B Rank): In this state, Cú Chulainn is automatically activating the Rune equivalent of the Magic Resistance Skill. It is used only to strengthen his body.
- Protection from Arrows (C Rank): He can deal with projectiles that do not depend on magecraft by tracking them down with his eyes. Because he is under Mad Enhancement, this Skill is ranked down significantly more than usual.
Cú Chulainn Alter's Noble Phantasm is Gáe Bolg. Because its power is higher than that of the regular Gáe Bolg, his right arm will be damaged to the point of being torn off each time he activates it. This is compensated by regenerating and recovering it with Rune Magecraft. Whereas Scáthach waits until the destruction ends to begin regenerating herself, Cú Chulainn Alter repairs it as he throws his spear, enduring the immense pain. Its power is equal to that of Scáthach's Gáe Bolg Alternative, as seen during their fight. Both spears claim to deliver fatal blows, while at the same time evading them. With different Noble Phantasms, the clash would have ended in both of them dead, not a draw. However, because both their Noble Phantasms are forbidden magical spears, both thorns of death trace identical paths and clash. A curious phenomenon that may never occur again. In his first fight against Rama, Cú used this attack to counter-attack after Rama used his Brahmastra at full power. It managed to destroy 80% of Rama's heart in a single shot. He also used this Noble Phantasm to sneak attack Karna while he was fighting Arjuna, mortally wounding him in the process.
Cú Chulainn Alter's second Noble Phantasm is his ultimate trump card, Curruid Coinchenn, an armor made out of the skeleton of the sea monster whose ribs were used to craft Gáe Bolg. This Noble Phantasm is offensive in nature, raising his Strength to EX Rank and ranking up his Endurance, but prohibiting the use of Gáe Bolg. When Scáthach met Cú Chulainn Alter for the first time, she sensed that she wouldn't be able to defeat him, even with Gate of Skye. During their fight, after Scáthach invoked its True Name, Cú Alter was still able to activate Curruid Coinchenn, destroying 90% of her organs in the process. He states that Curruid Coinchenn is the one and only thing that can punch a hole in Scáthach's guts. She, on other hand, claims that his attack had enough power to destroy the World. In his fight against Heracles, after being healed by Ritsuka Fujimaru, Saber Alter decided to join Heracles against Cú, telling him; "Prepare to taste the steel of my Holy Sword". It was then that Cú decided to go all out and activated Curruid Coinchenn. With it, he defeated Saber Alter and Heracles by taking his remaining lives.
