The Singularity was located in A.D. 1273, in the Holy Land around Jerusalem. The roots of the Singularity lie in several events. Firstly, someone who should have died midway through the Ninth Crusade was given a Holy Grail, and using its power, the expeditionary force reached the Holy Land, burning the lands and slaughtering the people living there. However, in their greed, they summoned Ozymandias who subsequently confiscated the Grail and set about building his kingdom there. Having lost the Grail, the expeditionary force lost ground and were eventually cornered by the people of the Holy Land. When they were cornered, a Servant identifying himself as Richard the Lionheart, but displaying different behavior and appearance, appeared and summoned his own crusaders. The crusaders subsequently captured the expeditionary force and occupied the Holy Land.<!---->

Secondly, Bedivere did not return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake, Artoria Pendragon was unable to die when she was fated to after the Battle of Camlann, ending up becoming a wandering ghost. With Rhongomyniad still in hand, she eventually turned into a Divine Spirit, who would come to be known as the Lion King. The Lion King was aware of the incineration of humanity and planned to store a selection of human souls into Rhongomyniad to preserve humanity in some form. After arriving in the Singularity, the Lion King summoned the Knights of the Round Table (with the exceptions of Bedivere and Galahad) and told them of her plan. Aware that some of them wouldn't follow her, she gave them until sunset to decide where they stood. In the subsequent battle, the Knights who decided to follow the Lion King slaughtered their fellow knights who chose to stand against her. The Lion King then bestowed Gifts on the surviving knights, with the exception of Agravain.

The Knights of the Lion King exterminated the crusaders, with the expeditionary force being annihilated along with them. During the battle with the one claiming to be Richard the Lionheart, Gareth sacrificed herself to give the others an opportunity to kill him, unable to bear the guilt of killing her fellow knights any longer. Her brother Gawain was the one who struck them both down. Afterwards, the Lion King and her knights established the Holy City of Camelot in the Holy Land. This occurred about half a year before Chaldea's arrival.

History
  +
Joined by Leonardo da Vinci, Ritsuka and Mash arrive in the era in a desert during a sandstorm. Da Vinci tries to calculate their current location when the group is attacked. After defeating the attackers, Ritsuka notes the last one was a knight. More enemies including a sphinx then arrive, but the group can only force the sphinx to retreat. They head west to a water source, which according to Da Vinci’s scans, was once a city. During their journey, Ritsuka becomes fatigued by the high mana density in the atmosphere. Da Vinci gives them a mana-blocking mask for protection. However, as they near the water source, Da Vinci tells Ritsuka and Mash to turn back, as she noticed countless sphinxes roaming around the nearby temple. The group fight the cloaked people upon seeing the bound woman they’re carrying. One of the cloaked person’s mask breaks in the fight, revealing them to be Hundred-Faced Hassan. A cloaked person assumes Mash is from the Holy City. Hundred-Faced orders the others to retreat, seeing as their opponents are Servants. She tells the group her current objective is the queen when a subordinate points out Da Vinci took her during the fight. She demands to know if the group are working for Ozymandias, when a group of Medjed force her and the others to retreat. Da Vinci then undoes the woman’s bound and wakes her up. The woman announces herself to be Nitocris upon waking up. She assumes the group kidnapped her and fights them. She struggles against them however because of her fatigue, but she refuses to give up. She summons a sphinx, still unwilling to listen to the truth of the matter. Assuming the group to be knights of the Holy City, Nitocris sents her sphinx to attack the group when a Servant called Lucius arrives to help. After slaying the sphinx with Airgetlám, Lucius explains to Nitocris the truth of her kidnapping as he had witnessed it. Realizing her error, Nitocris brings the group to Ramesseum Tentyris as a show of gratitude.

As the group travel to Ramesseum Tentyris, Nitocris uses her power to clear the sandstorm. Lucius takes his leave since he has no business at the temple. After he’s gone, Mash notes she felt a strange sensation when near him. Da Vinci notes how odd is for Airgetlám, Nuada’s right arm, to be Lucius’ Noble Phantasm. She states the arm is a replica yet its power is nonetheless extraordinary. Nitocris warns the group she needs to return to the temple before evening, otherwise she’ll be considered kidnapped. She asks them to protect until they reach the temple since her clearing of the sandstorm allowed monsters to invade the desert. After slaying the ensuing monsters, Da Vinci ponders if she and the others attracted them since they’re from Chaldea. She lies that she and the others are travelling performers, but Nitocris becomes suspicious of their origin. Nitocris reveals Ozymandias summoned her, and she explains he quickly rose to power after being summoned. She says others oppose him though, such as Saracens in the mountains. However, when da Vinci mentions Jerusalem as another opponent, Nitocris reveals Jerusalem was destroyed long ago. Finding their lack of knowledge suspicious, Nitocris summons a sphinx as a trial for the group to prove their innocence. After the purposely weakened sphinx retreats, Nitocris says they passed, and they continue to the temple.

Arriving at the temple, Mash says she’s still unable to contact Romani Archaman. Da Vinci attributes this to the ancient magical energy of the desert from the BC era. She deduces it is from another time period, as the Singularity’s space-time is in complete disarray. She also deduces this as the reason they couldn’t rayshift to Jerusalem. She calls the desert a distortion invading the Singularity, and she reveals there is another similar location.

Inside the throne room, the group meet Ozymandias. He confesses his knowledge of Chaldea already repairing five Singularities so far. He then shows the Holy Grail in his possession, but he states he isn’t Solomon’s ally. He explains he seized it from the Crusader after being summoned into the era. He then orders Nitocris to summon efreets to attack the group. After the battle, Ozymandias calls the group an enemy since they seek his Grail. He reveals the era collapsed long before Chaldea arrived, as the Crusades never occurred. Da Vinci accuses him of being the distortion that caused the era’s collapse, but he corrects her that the Lion King was responsible for it. After a feast, Nitocris escorts the group back to the temple’s entrance. The group then continue their journey, now in a vehicle Da Vinci built from the material she took from Ozymandias.

Slaying the monsters that blocked them, the group drive out of the desert and into a charred wasteland. Da Vinci suspects the era will be incinerated without the use of the Grail when the group is confronted by crazed people looking for food and water. After defeating them, the group leaves behind some supplies for the people. One person correctly assumes the group is heading towards the Holy City where the Lion King, who eradicated the crusaders, resides. They warn them to not go near the city walls, imploring them to return to the desert if they want to live. He suspects the Lion King is Richard I, but Da Vinci reveals the Crusaders were eliminated . Romani is confused about who occupies the Holy City when he detects a nearby Servant. The group head over to their location and arrive to see Hassan of Intoxicated Smoke protecting a group of people from an Archer. Da Vinci warns Ritsuka and Mash not to go near as Archer will kill them if they’re noticed. Intoxicated Smoke offers her life to Archer in exchange for him letting the others go free. He refuses however and kill her along with the others as they try to flee east. Witnessing the massacre, Da Vinci warns Ritsuka and Mash to hide until Archer leaves, as he’s stronger than any Servant they encountered thus far. After Archer leaves, the group observe the headless bodies of the people when the vengeful spirit of Intoxicated Smoke attacks them. She is defeated and asks the group to bury her brethren. Complying with her request, the group eventually come across a group of refugees and save them from bandits. A refugee woman tells them that she and the others are heading for the Holy City, as it’s the only safe place now. She talks of a monthly ceremony held by the Holy City called the Ritual of Holy Selection where they accept refugees. She continues she and the others were heading to the city when their village was burnt down. She mentions others thought ill of the Holy City and left for a village in the mountains. After the refugees leave, Da Vinci speculates Ozymandias and the Lion King have a nonaggression pact while the Saracens are resisting. Romani tells the group to head to the Holy City, the source of the Singularity according to Ozymandias.

The group eventually reaches the Holy City by nightfall. There they observe thousands of refugees camped outside. Romani tells them to enter the city to see the Lion King when Da Vinci sense a man hiding. The man warns them to turn back while admitting he is a thief. After the group discipline him and his cohorts, the man reveals he was a merchant who occasionally traded with the crusaders until the Lion King arrived. He continues the knights from the city killed his original group of merchants. They allowed him to live though since he bowed before them. He then flees with his group, who reveal his name is Saruhan. Da Vinci tries to ask him for more details, but he refuses and again warns the group to stay away from the city. Disguising themselves with cloaks, the group slip into one of the refugee group further from the main gate. They notice knights surrounding the refugees when it suddenly turns into day. A knight emerging from the main gate confesses it is a Gift bestowed upon him by the Lion King so the sun may always bless him. The refugees reveal he is to be Gawain as the Holy Selection is about to begin. Da Vinci tells Ritsuka and Mash they need to run, having realized the truth of the Holy Selection. Gawain thanks the refugees for taking the long journey to the Holy City of Camelot, calling ideal city and only refuge left in the world. He continues the Lion King accepts all into the city regardless of race or religion if they receive his pardon. The Lion King emerges on top of the main gate declaring they must choose eternally pure souls as humanity has fallen. Three refugees are then enveloped by a light, having been selected as pure souls. The Lion King then orders Gawain to collect the selected, and he goes to execute the unselected. As the knights kill the refugees, the group fight the knights to let the refugees escape. After the refugees escape, the slain knights vanish. Romani suspects they were constructed humans close to Heroic Spirits. More knights arrive, so Romani implores the group to run. But, they refuse since there are still refugees left when someone on the eastern side of the crowd begins fighting the knights. The group use this to their advantage and defeat the knights. A knight prepares to kill a child, but the boy’s mother (one of the selected) pleads with him to let her son enter the city with her. The knight refuses and kills the mother when she shielded her son. Mash kills the knight when he again goes to kill the child. After saving the child, Romani orders the group to escape through the west when Gawain stops them. Gawain’s appearance makes Romani realize the Lion King is King Arthur, who with the Knights of the Round Table, eliminated the crusaders and built Camelot on the Holy Land. He continues the Spirit Origin observed from the Lion King is far beyond the King Arthur in Chadlea’s data and goes outside of being a Servant. Gawain recognizes the group as defenders of humanity and those prophesied to come and disrupt the Lion King’s plan. When Gawain prepares to fight, Romani implores the group to run because of Gawain’s Numeral of the Saint Skill. However, they’re forced to fight him. They’re unable to defeat him though, even with him hold back. Da Vinci asks Ritsuka to buy some time, having noticed Mash struggling against Gawain isn’t primarily physical. Ritsuka ask Gawain what the Holy Selection, and he answers the Lion King and his fellow knights seeks the completion of a utopia. He explains pure humans are selected for that purpose while those not chosen are purged. Gawain then attacks Mash while reprimanding for not hating him as the commander of the knights like she did with the other knights. Lucius suddenly appears and block Gawain’s attack as he rebukes him for denouncing Mash’s beliefs. He uses Airgetlám to disable to disable Gawain’s gift. Gawain recognizes him as Bedievere. In the ensuing fight, Bedivere brushes Excalibur Galatine aside to Gawain’s shock. Bedivere’s arm burns inside and out however, but he tells the group to ignore it and escape. Da Vinci states she defeated the enemies at their rear while the others were fighting Gawain. Mash carries Bedivere while Ritsuka takes the child Mash saved earlier. Da Vinci then throws a flashbang to disorient Gawain as they escape. Romani reports the refugees are being pursued by enforcement knights. Meanwhile, in the throne room of Camelot, Gawain is blasted out of the city’s walls by Rhongomyniad as punishment for his failure. Mordred confirms his survival, so the Lion King pardons him. She orders Mordred to return outside the city, as she is only allowed in the city during the day. After Mordred leaves, Agravain prepares to issues for her to pursue the refugees. The Lion King calls the ordered useless however since the refugees will eventually die in the wasteland. She states they will battle Ozymandias when Lancelot returns. After the Lion King leaves, Agravain orders Tristan to contact Lancelot and tell him to pursue and eliminate Ritsuka’s group.

The group is thanked by a refugee man for saving him and the others. However, he and the other refugees have trust issues, so Bedivere asks him to guide the group to the mountain village for shelter. The man agrees with the proposal, and Bedivere tells him the group will protect the refugees until they reach the mountains. He then requests him to act as a liaison between the group and the Saracens to avoid fighting, which the man again agrees with. As he man speaks with the other refugees, the group take an hour break before heading north to the mountains. While Da Vinci treats the refugees, Bedivere apologizes for his false name earlier since he couldn’t trust the others yet. He confirms Romani’s suspicions that he originally intended to sneak into Camelot while in disguise yet choose to help Ritsuka and the others. His intentions were to ask King Arthur why he resorted to tyranny. Romani reveals the Singularity was originally intended to have an endless crusade to destroy the era. He continues Chaldea would have done battle with the crusaders turned Demon God if they arrived before the Lion King did. The Lion King constructed Camelot and took control of the era which distorted the Singularity even further. Romani realizes the Lion King only seeks to enrich Camelot while ignoring the era’s destruction. Bedivere reveals Merlin sent him to the era and told him of Chaldea’s mission. He also reveals Knights of the Round Table conquered the Holy Land and constructed Camelot when he arrived. Seeing the Lion King is the era’s distortion, the group agree to help Bedivere as they depart.

Later, while da Vinci and Mash play with Rushd (the child Mash saved), Bedivere admits his Airgetlám is a replica provided by Merlin to compensate for his one arm. He also confesses he cannot handle it for long periods otherwise he’ll be burned. Da Vinci states the Knights of the Round were each given blessings by the Lion King called Gifts. She continues only Bedivere can counter their Gifts, but that method is reckless since every use of Airgetlám injures him. She decides she needs a workshop to analyze a Gift when monsters attack. After slaying the monsters, the group continue to the hidden mountain village when Enforcement Knights arrive to kill the refugees. After the first wave is defeated, Lancelot orders the third wave to surround the refugees during combat and capture the group as the second wave attacks. Bedivere attempts to fight them, but Da Vinci converts her vehicle into a bomb and drives it into the knights. Her sacrifice allows the group to escape to the mountains as the third wave of knights gives chase. After the group escapes, Lancelot orders his knights to search the mountains for the group.

  +
Continuing their journey, the group talk about the lack of food when monsters attack. After the monsters are slain, Bedivere cooks them to provide everyone with food. After eating, the group notice the many indentations across the land that resulted from the Lion King’s Judgement striking there. Romani suspects the Judgement is a Noble Phantasm of King Arthur. He further speculates it is why the mana in the atmosphere is so dense. The refugees initially had no choice but to go to Camelot due to the dangers of the wastelands and desert, and the lack of food in the mountains. Seeing that King Arthur and the Knights of the Round have fallen, Bedivere decides the Lion King cannot be allowed to exist.

  +
Nearing the hidden eastern mountain village, the group is confronted by Assassin who considers them to be intruders. However, the refugee guide explains they protected him and the other refugees during the journey. He then pleads to let them take shelter in the village as they’re being pursued by the Knights of the Round. Assassin lets the refugees take shelter, but he attacks the group as he is wary of them being allied with Camelot. After being defeated, he reveals himself to be Hassan of the Cursed Arm, and tries to fight again despite his injuries. Arash stop him though and repeats his words of gratitude when he heard the refugees were saved. He convinces him to accept the group despite Bedivere being with them. Cursed Arm then grants the group passage into village. He tells Arash to show them around while he prepares a place for the refugees.

Inside the village, Arash learns of the group’s circumstances. Bedivere expresses his intention to return to Camelot alone. But Arash tells him to rest, as Romani states his Spirit Origin looks terrible. He then asks the group to help him kill the bandits and monsters surrounding the mountain, believing it’ll help gain the villager’s trust.

  +
A week later, Romani suspects the Knights aren’t pursuing them anymore. Mash says fighting the Knights is inevitable, but admits the group lacks the strength to do so. She also says they cannot the village in such poor condition. Bedivere then arrives and asks to speak with her alone. Mash confesses to him that she is a Demi-Servant, a human fused with a Heroic Spirit whose name is unknown to her. Bedivere reveals the Heroic Spirit fused with her is a Knight of the Round, considered the strongest, wisest, and bravest of them all. He further states the knight chose a path of wisdom and spirituality instead of one of strength and martial prowess. He refuses to reveal the knight’s name to Mash though, believing she should discover it on her own. Mash then realizes her agony at seeing Gawain and Camelot’s walls was because of the knight expressing their disbelief that it’s the work of King Arthur. Bedivere agrees the actions of the Lion King are not the same as the original King Arthur. He again express his intent to defeat the Lion King, the reason he came to the era. Believing Ritsuka and Mash have no reason to fight the Lion King, he says he’ll try to ally with Cursed Arm to fight her. However, Ritsuka and Mash say they’ll fight the Lion King to make amends to all those lost. Pleased with their answer, Bedivere tells them he’ll try to convince Curse Arm to fight with him tomorrow.
  +
  +
The next day, Ritsuka asks Cursed Arm to help them fight the Lion King. Cursed Arm admits he and the others were waiting for an opportunity to launch a counterattack against the Lion King. He reveals the other hidden villages, each protected by a Hassan-i-Sabbah, are gathering forces. Stating they need more manpower, he tests the group to see if they can be trusted given Mash and Bedivere’s identities. He asks Arash to join him, and together they fight the group. After being defeated, Cursed Arm accepts them as allies. He tells them he’ll take them to the headquarters of the Hassans, stating the other Hassans should arrive there in a few days. He then reveals two of the Hassans he gathered as allies were killed by the Knights of Round. Lancelot killed Hassan of the Trembling Pipe, and Gawain killed Hassan of the Peeling Shadows. Learning of Intoxicated Smoke’s death, Cursed Arm is warned of an attack on the western village by Mordred.
  +
  +
Given it would take two days to travel to the western village, Arash launches himself and the others there. Slaying monsters upon landing, the group ambush and defeat several of Mordred’s knights. Mordred confronts them when Ritsuka, Mash, and Romani realize she isn’t the same Mordred from London. Mordred reveals her Gift, Rampage, allows her to launch her Noble Phantasm continuously until her soul burns out. She is shocked to see Bedivere with the group as he reveals his intentions. While Bedivere fights Mordred, the others fight the Enforcement Knights. Enraged she is losing despite her Gift, Mordred removes her helmet as her armor rejects her Gift. She prepares to launch Clarent Blood Arthur, but Arash shoots her joints to stop her. Mordred then retreats since her unit was eliminated, saying she’ll fight the group in Camelot. The village is successfully protected, but Bedivere passes out from the strain.

Bedivere dreams of when King Arthur visited him alone in a tower. Arthur states they need to dismantle some villages to deal with the upcoming winter. She finds this as unfortunate given how they recently drove the Picts away. Bedivere believes Britain will never perish nor suffer as long as she lives. Arthur corrects him that while Camelot and its surroundings flourish, the rest of Britain still suffers. She states Camelot cannot restore the lifestyles of those who lost their villages even if it accommodated them. She believes future prosperity comes from hard work, living fulfilling lives, and raising a family. She says there is no future for those who merely sheltered. Bedivere recalls her grim disposition towards Britain’s dark future. Bedivere asks why he was made a Knight of the Round despite being inferior to the others. Arthur calls him a fool as she too is inferior. She continues bonds are not measured by strength or weakness alone, saying the Knights of the Round each serve different roles. She then confides with Bedivere that while the Saxons are their enemies, they are not evil. She explains that the Saxons’ search for land to live on is inherently good, believing they’ll serve a role in Britain as long as that’s true. She continues that conflict will arise as long as they’re humans, stating it is born from benefit and detriment. She then states creating the Knights of the Round from strength alone would only invite evil during this conflict-filled era. The Knights took their oath to not kill their enemies but to fight for the future of their brethren. Arthur claims Camelot was built from man’s desire to built a utopia with their own power albeit barely. Thus, compassionate knights like Bedivere who can pick up on the details of people’s lives that he and Gawain would overlook are needed. Bedivere remembers learning of Arthur’s hopelessness from Merlin. He confesses his joy of living Camelot to her, and she smiles at his joy. Remembering she smiled for others’ joy inside of her own, Bedivere begs for forgiveness for fighting against Arthur now.

Arash expresses concern for Bedivere’s physical and mental state as he was begging his king for forgiveness in his sleep. Mash admits she feels guilty fighting King Arthur because of the knight fused with her. Cursed Arm returns from checking on the village, and thanks the group for their aid. Hundred-Faced then arrives and thanks them as well. She introduces herself as the village’s leader when she recalls meeting the group before in the desert. She refuses to help them due to their previous encounter and Bedivere. Cursed Arm ask them to help him and Hundred-Faced rescue another Hassan who was captured by a Knight of the Round. Hundred-Faced states the fort where the Hassan is held is nearly impenetrable, and none who tried to break in ever returned. She tells the group to prepare a hostage to exchange for the Hassan; Mash suggests using Bedivere. Hundred-Faced agrees, and the group depart while Arash stays to protect the village.

The group eventually run into a Servant screaming for help as monsters are attacking her. After being rescued, she complains about her current situation when a dragon appears, and the group slay it. She introduces herself as Xuanzang Sanzang who was summoned in the Singularity about half a year ago. She reveals she lived in Camelot for two months as an honored guest. She admits she left despite it being a prosperous place because she needed to continue her journey. She thanks the group for their help and joins them. She reveals she met a Servant while ago who she took as a disciple. However, he was captured in front of a fort belonging to Camelot. Sanzang explains she tried to save him, instead she got lost. The group agree to help her since they’re heading to the same place.

  +
Arriving at the fort, Romani confirms there are two Servants in its dungeon. Mash suggests jumping the gate when the watchman is distracted. But Sanzang senses the fort is high alert because of the group’s earlier encounter with Mordred as Hundred-Faced suspects. Cursed Arm suggests they wait for an opportunity to enter when soldiers come out of the fort, so the group hide. The soldiers speculate Agravain is coming to the fort to personally kill an Archer they captured earlier. They also suspect he’s coming to torture a Hassan they captured earlier for information since other torturers gave up. Given the circumstances, the group decide to rescue Hassan and Sanzang’s disciple before Agravain arrives. Sensing knights approaching, Cursed Arm suggests the group split into two parties. One will rescue the Servants while another ambushes Agravain as a diversion. Romani says they’ll need twenty people to mobilize the fortress. In response, Hundred-Faced uses Zabaniya: Delusional Illusion to do just that. The other use her distraction to sneak into the dungeon.

Inside the dungeon, the group explore it while slaying the ghosts there. Thanks to Fou, Mash finds a hidden passageway with cells, one guarded with a Servant inside. After the guard is defeated, Sanzang’s disciple exits his cell and introduces himself as introduces himself as Tawara Touta. He confesses he was looking for Sanzang when she went to fight some knights in the fort, but Lancelot captured him. He then reveals Hassan’s location, and the group hurry to rescue her. As they rush to Hassan, Romani reports Hundred Faced is engaged in combat with Agravain’s forces. Eventually the group find Hassan of Serenity chained to a wall of the torture chamber with Agravain’s Iron Punishment. Ritsuka undoes her chains since they have an adverse effect on Servants. After rescuing her, the group is confronted by Agravain who sends his Enforcement Knights at them. Because of Agravain repeatedly sending more knights to replaced the defeated ones, Romani implores the group to escape. Cursed sees however that Agravain’s knights are blocking their escape route. Agravain asks Sanzang for her opinion of Camelot, and offers to join the Round Table to replace Gareth. She confesses Camelot is wonderful but disagrees with the Holy Selection and executing the unchosen, which Mash agrees with. Agravain sees killing the unchosen as an act of mercy and to protect Camelot. He further states Camelot would cease fighting the Saracens if they surrendered the Holy Land. Sanzang realizes she saw the world’s end when crossing the desert. She asks Agravain how the Lion King lost her humanity and if she is still a Heroic Spirit. He refuses to answer and sends his special brand of Enforcement Knights model after the enraged Lancelot to attack the group. After defeating the knights, Mash realizes Agravain doesn’t have a Gift since he didn’t want one. Romani implores the group to kill Agravain, but Agravain reveals his death won’t stop his knights. He declares the Holy Lance is entering its final stage. He quickly retreats though after sensing Serenity activated Zabaniya: Delusional Poison Body. The poison knocks the knights giving the group the chance to escape.

Exiting the fort, the group are told by Hundred Faced that Agravain rode back to Camelot. She lets them deal with the remaining soldiers while she steals some horses. After defeating the soldiers, the group ride back to the village.

Back at the village, everyone holds a feast at night thanks to Touta producing food with Bale of Inexhaustibility. Cursed Arm tells Mash of how he replaced his right arm with the demo Shaytan’s arm out of desperation to become the next Hassan. He then the food is attracting bandits and monsters. He kills them with the help of Ritsuka and Mash. Later they rest for the night, saying they’ll discuss their next move tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, back at the fort, Tristan kills the survivors for their failure after being given a casualty report. He stops however when one of them says they’ll organize to find and eradicate the group along with the mountain villages.

The next morning in the village, Hundred Faced and Serenity spar with the group. Afterwards, Hundred Faced says they’ll launch a full-scale attack on Camelot with a united force of those who lost their families and stake in the Holy Land, and asks Ritsuka for their help. She continues half of the villages have agreed to join the attack. However, they only have 7000 soldiers compared to Camelot’s 10,000 who each equal three village soldiers. Hundred-Faced states their soldiers will perish if faced with the Knights of the Round. She also warns they wait any longer as resources are depleting quickly. Touta believes they can defeat the Knights of the Round since they outnumber them in Servant count. Arash doubts even three of them could defeat a single knight, given how each (except Agravain) received a Gift. Hundred-Faced says they’ll need more soldiers, and they need to defeat the Knights of the Round one by one. She also states the assault on Camelot will failure as long as Gawain is at the front gate. Bedivere says they would need Lancelot just to match Gawain’s strength in daylight. Sanzang suggest recruiting Lancelot, but Touta puts that idea down. Romani disagrees with attacking Camelot for now, and he warns they need to deal with Ozymandias. Serenity suggests going to the Shrine of Azrael to ask for the First Hassan ’s help, even though it's taboo to ask for his help. She also says she was tortured to reveal his location.  Bedivere reveals he was told to visit him for his fight against the Lion King. Cursed Arm agrees with the idea and tells the others to return to the eastern village. There he will show them the secrets of the Hassan sect.

As the group travel back to the eastern village, Hundred Faced parts ways with them to gather more troops. Two days later they return to the village and feed the villagers with Touta’s Noble Phantasm. The group discuss recruiting the First Hassan, though Romani doubts he can defeat the Knights of the Round and the Lion King. Bedivere assures though that the First Hassan is a special Servant whose blade kills all Servants with “their own fate“. The group then leaves for the Shrine of Azrael while Arash stays to protect the village.

The next day, the group reach the Shrine, guarded by ghosts placed there by the First Hassan. After defeating the ghosts, they enter the shrine where the First Hassan greets them while completely hiding his presence. He tells them he will join in their fight against the Lion King, but warns entering his shrine is punishable by death. He says he’ll forgive their transgression if they pass his trial. He takes control of Serenity to force her to fight the group as part of the trial. Cursed Arm begs him to use him instead, but Hassan calls him unworthy. He then sends Serenity, whose Spirit Origins values are increasing, at the group. After they defeat her without killing her, Hassan accepts the outcome. He then unveils and introduces himself; Ritsuka calls him King Hassan. After he cuts Romani’s communications, Cursed Arms asks for his help in fighting the Lion King while begging for forgiveness for entering the shrine. Hassan calls him wrong on two accounts, then he asks Ritsuka if they would fight the Lion King. After Ritsuka answers they’re unsure, Hassan asks if he and the other Hassans are enough. Ritsuka answers they aren’t enough, and Hassan tells them to learn the truth of the Lion King, Ozymandias, and the Incineration of Humanity. He says he will join them once they’ve learned all that, deciding he’ll fight Gawain. He tells them to go to the Atlas Institute in the desert to find the answers they seek. He then prepares to behead Cursed Arm for his transgression, but he stops when Bedivere asks why he must execute Cursed Arm. He answers he is the Hassan who kills other Hassans, and the one who punishes Hassans who’ve been corrupted. He explains a Hassan asking for his help is declaring they’re unworthy to be a Hassan, something Cursed Arm is aware of. He decides to postpone Cursed Arm’s execution until the Lion King is defeated. He tells the group to head to the Atlas Institute before the Lion King’s lance returns to its true form. He also tells them to restore the Holy Land and return the holy artifact before again concealing himself.

Exiting the shrine, Mash tells Romani of the Atlas Institute out in the desert. Romani warns of the dangerous magical weapons in there. He knows it is necessary to go there though to learn the truth. The group then travel back to the eastern village.

However, as they travel back, Touta warns Camelot soldiers are attacking the village. Cursed Arm goes ahead, telling Serenity to protect Ritsuka and the others to save the villagers. Touta and Sanzang go to the village’s east side while the others killing knights as they head towards the village. The trio enters the village to find in flames. Romani warns the villagers will die if the enemy attacks, as Mash wonders where Arash is. The trio then kill the knights that attacked them. Serenity states half of the villagers have already been evacuated. She assumes they’re in a cave that’s used for evacuations.

Meanwhile, Arash leads the villagers to the cave and asks for two to help him intercept the soldiers. They defend the village’s entrance while Rushd leads the villagers. However, as they continue to defend the entrance, Arash’s arrows are countered by Tristan. Suddenly Lancelot arrives and kills the villagers helping Arash. He then seemingly kills Arash with Arondight Overload.

Tristan confronts Ritsuka, Mash, and Serenity in the village. He introduces himself and admits he killed all the village men. He says he’ll go after those fleeing for the cave once he kills the trio. Serenity demands to know why he is killing everyone. He replies it’s because he tracked her to the village with his bow. He guilts her further by saying he wouldn’t have found the village if she fled alone. Mash defends her, and they proceed to fight him. Tristan overwhelms them thanks to his Gift, describing as an uncontrollable merciless that cuts all down. Bedievere arrives and attacks him, angered he killed innocents and burnt their village on the Lion King’s order. Tristan reprimands him that King Arthur, while benevolvent, had only warned against going too far yet never forbade it. He continues Bedivere only saw the king’s glory, and not her horror, saying the king doesn’t understand people’s feelings. Bedivere attacks him again, declaring he’ll stop him and confront the Lion King. The group fight Tristan again, but he still overwhelms them. Howver, Sanzang, Touta, and Cursed Arm then appear and attack him. Tristan states the Lion King wouldn’t have taken action against the Saracens if they hadn’t rebelled. He tells the group looks to the west sky, as they witness the Lion King’s spear, Rhongomyniad, destroy the western village. Bedievere asks Tristan if the Knights of the Round have gone bad. Tristan answers they all casted their humanity away to follow the king’s order. He also states the Lion King succeeded in severing all human emotion. He then warns Rhongomyniad will strike the eastern village in five minutes, and sends his knights to kill the group. After they kill the knight, Romani warns them that Rhongomyniad is nearing impact. Mash decides they need to evacuate the villagers before that, but Arash says it’s too late. He tells the group to head to the cave. He confesses to Bedivere that he knew his reason for coming to the era. While the others go to the cave, Touta stays to witness Arash counter Rhongomyniad with Stella.

After mourning the loss of Arash, Cursed Arm reveals Hundred Faced evacuated the majority of the western village before it was destroyed. Serenity asks the group to join the village funeral about to begin. However, Cursed Arm tells Ritsuka to leave the village, warning Camelot will attack again once word of Arash’s deed reaches it. He implores Ritsuka to head for the Atlas Institute before that. Romani agrees, saying they need to a way to counter Rhongomyniad. Cursed Arm agrees and says they will prepare for their assault on Camelot after evacuating the villagers. He continues that he and Serenity will remain in the mountains until regrouping with the others before the attack on the Camelot. He tells Mash he’ll spread word of Ritsuka to the other Saracens. He agrees with Romani to rendezvous in the village for final confirmation on the assault once they return. Mash then goes to tell Sanzang and Touta of their plans. Cursed Arm tells Bedivere that he’ll never forgive the Knights of the Round, especially Tristan. He warns him he’ll kill him if he defends Tristan. Bedivere replies he will do not so, stating the injustices of Knights of the Round is a responsibility held by it members. Because of that, he asks Cursed Arm to treat him like an enemy if the Lion King is the true evil. The group then leave for the desert.

In the Lion King’s throne room, Lancelot reports he has brought twelve humans fit for the Holy Selection. He also says he’ll join in defending Camelot. Agravain tells him he wants him to assist guarding the third tower. He thanks him for his work as the king’s plans have reached its final stages. He continues the confrontation with Ozymandias is nearing, stating the third tower will be the key in protecting the royal caster. He orders Lancelot to go to the third tower at once. Lancelot wishes to ask Lion King a question which she permits. He states how he returned from attacking the western village on Tristan’s request as it was full of rebels. He then asks the Lion King why she unleashed Rhongomyniad on the village, considering Tristan burning it was already excessive. He calls the act cruel, as she never used it on human settlement even with rebels before. Though he believes in her righteousness of speeding the governance through fear given the circumstances, he still calls what she did unjust. He wishes to know why she used Rhongomyniad while wondering if Agravain manipulated her. The Lion King answers she used it of her volition to destroy the village, as burning it would only strengthen rebellion against Camelot. She continues she has no time for rebellions as Rhongomyniad is entering its final stages, stating the Tower at the Ends of the World will soon welcome them. She says she needs to open the tower before Solomon enters the next stage of his plan after the Incineration of Humanity. She reveals she ordered the village’s enforcement. She also calls the Sacracen’s rebellion trivial since Gawain can kill them at the gates. Lancelot calls the enforcement of the village unnecessary if Camelot’s defenses are complete. Tristan returns and criticizes him on that point, saying threats to Camelot still exist. He reports the eastern village wasn’t destroyed because Arash countered Rhongomyniad with Stella. He further reports the rebels have left the mountain and are now heading towards the desert. He believes they plan to join with Ozymandias. Lancelot offers to capture them, ready to accept any punishment for his failure afterwards. Agravain states he’ll assign others to pursue the rebels. He then orders Gawain to restrain Lancelot, who will be relieved of his duties and imprisoned. The Lion King interrupts though and asks Lancelot if he can capture the rebels. Lancelot answers he can, so the Lion King orders him to do so before the city walls appear. After Lancelot leaves, Tristan reports  he encountered Bedivere in the eastern village. Mordred and Gawain admit they also encountered him, but they didn't report it as they considered him insignificant to the Lion King's plans. Agravain agrees and orders Gawain to return to the front gate. Tristan realizes Bedivere isn’t his former self. Agravain orders him to guard the castle, and Mordred to sweep the city’s surroundings. He tells the Lion King to not let Bedivere concern her, but she is confused as she doesn’t know who Bedivere is.

Meanwhile, the group travel through the wastelands to reach the desert while slaying monsters. Because of the sandstorm, the group use a map to locate the Atlas Institute given to them by an agent of Hundred Faced. They also recall them reporting a westerner wearing a black cape and a turban was spotted by the institute. They also warned Ozymandias’s divine beast are wandering near it. Mash considers the possibility of the westerner being T.E. Lawrence. The group then realize Sanzang got lost and under attack from sphinxes. After driving the sphinxes away, Mash realizes they are nearing the Atlas Institute. Later, the group notice many sphinxes, so Sanzang suggests using Touta’s Bale of Inexhaustibility as a distraction. Ritsuka and Touta reject it as the latter senses a Knight of Round and others nearing. Lancelot confronts the group, saying he’s come to capture them. Bedivere asks him why he serves the Lion King as her actions aren’t those of the original King Arthur. Lancelot doesn’t answer immediately and orders his troops to detain the group. He then agrees with what Bedivere said, saying he pledged his loyalty to King Arthur not the Lion King. The group then fight him and his knights. They decide to retreat however when he proves too much for them. Lancelot prepares to capture them when a giant illusion of Nitocris manifests. She tells the group to run while the knights are distracted. The knights try to chase after them, but they run into a sphinx nest along with the group. After slaying the sphinxes, the group fall through a pitfall trap.

Upon landing, the group are greeted by Sherlock Holmes, who reveals they're in the Atlas Institute. After deducing their identities, he confesses he left the note regarding the truth of Servant summoning that Ritsuka and Mash found in London. He states he must solve a case requested by Charles Babbage before he can join Chaldea. Admitting he activated the pitfall trap, Sherlock tells the group he came to the institute in search of the truth that Hassan mentioned. He says it is in the central area, but warns the way is akin to a labyrinth. He leads the group while they destroy any defenses that activate. Later, he explains to Ritsuka that the Atlas Institue investigates the principles of the world. They also created seven world destroying weapons called the the Seven Taboos, due in part to their directors going insane from failing to create a world protecting tool. These weapons were sealed along with Atlas' other failures inside the facility the group is currently in. Sherlock theorizes the insitute appeared in the Singularity's egyptian desert because the origin of Atlas' alchemy is tied with the progenitor of Magecraft in Egyptian mythology, Isis. The group continue to the center when they notice an optical illusion. Sherlock explains it is Atlas' way of preventing anyone from leaving with their tools, the only exception being the holders of the Seven Contracts. He explains Atlas recovered  four of them by 2000 AD with three still missing when more defenses activate. After they're destroyed, Sherlock wonders why Mash can't activate her Noble Phantasm. Ritsuka sats it's because she doesn't the True Name of the Heroic Spirit fused with her, but Sherlock disagrees. He then states he doesn't have any information on Solomon when Ritsuka admits they met him before. Ritsuka and Mash cannot remeber much beyond his appearance though yet Ritsuka rembers he was missing something. Sherlock requests Mash to sketch a picture of Solomon while they walk. He explains she would normally be cursed for doing so but the institue has  counter-measures against outside curses. Mash agrees with his request, and tell him that Solomon's personality was inconsistent and changed abruptly. After being told of her conservation with Solomon, Sherlock compares Solomon's personality to a mirror that reflects the person speaking to it. Mash states how Solomon said he no interest in humans, which concerns Sherlock about the truth of Solomon. He continues that Solomon has already won since he destroyed humanity, explaining it as the reason he even showed himself. He furthers explains Solomon's disinterest in humans is also due to moving to his next project after incinerating humanity. Sherlock fears what the true nature of Solomon's next project could be. Nearing the center, he explains there are two reasons Hassan sent  them here. The first is to learn of the Lion King's objectives and Rhongomyniad. The second is to learn a part of the mystery behind the Incineration of Humanity. After destroying more active defenses, the group move on to the center.

At the center, the group find Tri-Hermes, which Trismegistus is based on. Mash wonders why the equipment is still functional. Sherlock answers it is because the institute is from her and Ritsuka’s era. He then accesses Tri-Hermes’ records to discover what happened in the Fuyuki Holy Grail War of 2004, considering it an important factor to the truth of the Incineration of Humanity. Neither the course of the war nor its conclusion is known, only its victor, Marisbilly Animusphere, being recorded. Sherlock reveals Romani was Marisbilly during that time before joining Chaldea to become head of the medical division. He considers it strange there no records of Romani before the Grail War. Sanzang asks him about Marisbilly’s wish, but he answers it wasn’t recorded. He assumes though it was fortune based on Chaldea’s future successes. He then states Romani is possibly connected to the Incineration of Humanity. Not trusting him, he asks the others not to tell Romani what they heard. He also says Romani knew the conclusion of the Grail War yet kept it secret. Later, he decides to reveal to Mash the True Name of the Heroic Spirit fused with her, even though Bedivere wants her to learn it on herself. Before that, he reveals Chaldea used the Round Table to stabilize their Heroic Spirit summoning system as it was a place where heroes gathered. He further reveals the core of Mash’s shield is the Round Table itself. He then reveals the Heroic Spirit fused with Mash is Galahad, the Knight of the Round who alone found the Holy Grail. Seeing Mash’s gratitude, Bedivere agrees with Galahad’s decision to entrust his power to one closet to him regardless of their differences of time and race. Afterwards, Sherlock uses the last of Tri-Hermes’ power to learn about Rhongomyniad. He asks Bedivere if he knows anything about it. Bedivere answers he only knew it as one of the holy artifacts owned by King Arthur. He also recalls Merlin calling it the Tower at the Ends of the World, the pillar of light standing at the world’s edge far west of Britain. Sherlock reveals the tower is Rhongomyniad’s true form while the lance is a terminal to access its Authority. He explains it is one of many towers meant to secure the current fabric of reality. He reveals the Lion King plans to use it to create an ideal world at Camelot by gathering purely good souls. According Tri-Hermes’ calculations, Rhongomyniad can hold 500 souls. Sherlock reveals it is Camelot’s true form, where the selected are sealed away. He also reveals the selected were gathered as ideal examples of humanity’s virtue, and they will be sealed forever once Camelot returns to its true form. Touta assumes the people of the Holy Land will be safe from the Lion King once that happens. However, Sherlock corrects him that the rest of the era will become the Ends of the World for the Tower’s completion, which has already begun. He states the reason the Singularity is so exceptional is that it exists nowhere in the world. Sanzang realizes nothing exists beyond the desert is because the era already separate from human history. Sherlock agrees and states the Lion King’s ability to destroy one of the Foundations of Mankind to create her ideal world is that of a god. The group then rush to the surface to stop Rhongomyniad’s completion. After they destroy the strongest defenses, Sherlock ponders why Solomon chose 2016 to begin the Incineration of Humanity. He expects Solomon had a reason to burn the 3000 years between his era of 1000 BC and 2016. He also theorizes Solomon, despite his clairvoyance, couldn’t see beyond 2016. Ritsuka believes it’s because Solomon destroyed the world.

Returning to the surface, the group are confronted by Lancelot and his knights. He tells them to surrender, otherwise he’ll kill them for resisting. Bedivere prepares to fight as they’re both Knights of the Round. Before that though, he asks Lancelot if he knows of the Lion King’s true intentions regarding Rhongomyniad. He then relays what the group recently learned from Tri-Hermes. Lancelot lowers his sword upon hearing this, so Mash initially believes the Knights of the Round weren’t informed of Rhongomyniad’s true purpose. However, Lancelot suddenly attacks Bedivere, surprised others learned about the Holy Lance. He declares he cannot allow the group to live to spread unneeded fear. Bedivere is shocked that Lancelot still serves the Lion King despite knowing of Rhongomyniad, and he asks him if he even knows her intentions. Lancelot admits the Lion King told the Knights of the Round of her intention to use human souls to open the Tower when she summoned them. He continues the Knights of the Round slaughtered the Crusaders and became the enemies of the era despite knowing the Lion King’s intentions are inhuman. He then attacks Bedivere again, but Mash blocks him. Under Galahad’s influence, Mash is infuriated that Lancelot still prides himself as a knight of King Arthur despite knowing the Lion King’s intentions. Lancelot recognizes Mash’s shield and manner of speech as Galahad when she challenges him to a duel. After he is defeated, Lancelot surrenders and recruited as an ally by Ritsuka. He tells the group  he wishes to show them a place which will become unknown if he disappears.

Lancelot’s unit escorts the group for a half a day, until they reach a secret refugee camp. Lancelot reveals the refugees are those who weren’t selected, saying the Lion King never ordered to execute them. He also reveals several knights disobeyed the king, so he has them guard the refugees. Suddenly, Da Vinci appears, and she reveals her survival was thanks to Lancelot protecting her. Mash tells Romani what they learn in the Atlas Institute, and she sends him information about Rhongomyniad. Saruhan then appears, who Da Vinci had assist the refugees flee from Camelot’s front gate when Ritsuka and Mash visited it earlier. She also had him look into the state of wasteland as he thanks her for digging a well. After some sparing, Mash explains the truth of Rhongomyniad to Da Vinci. Da Vinci explains the Lion King’s intent is to create an isolated space for the purest of humanity to continue existing following the Incineration of Humanity. Lancelot says the Knights of the Round believed that the Lion King’s ideal was righteous. Sanzang criticizes the Lion King’s ideal since it takes choice away from the people, yet the Knights of the Round accepted it because they believed in the old King Arthur. She wonders why King Arthur became the Lion King, but Lancelot says she was already like that when she summoned the Knights of the Round. He mentions some knights considered the king mad, but Da Vinci corrects him that the Lion King doesn’t have a sense of reason anymore. Lancelot blames it on Agravain’s manipulation; Da Vinci only mentions Saruhan said Agravain took over the merchant’s guild. She then reveals the King Arthur became the Lion King when she held Rhongomyniad for too long, changing her into a Divine Spirit. She explains the Lion King would have focused on improving the life of the citizenry if she still had human reasoning. Instead, her reasoning is of a god who only sees value in humanity, not humans. Lancelot demands to know why King Arthur became a god, speaking of her original intentions to bring peace and prosperity to Britain and its people. Romani reveals the Lion King’s intention to create a world without humans would disrupt human history, even if Chaldea restores humanity. Lancelot offers to fight the Lion King. Da Vinci reveals though the Knights of the Round would be destroyed if they tried to do that because of their Gift. Mash decides they need to join the Hassans and attack Camelot. Sanzang calls that suicidal given the difference between their forces and Rhongomyniad. Ritsuka and Mash suggests they have Ozymandias join them, but Bedivere and da Vinci are against that idea. Da Vinci says they will have to fight Ozymanidas anyway once they defeat the Lion King.  Lancelot suggests convincing Ozymandias that joining them would benefit him since Egypt will disappear if the Lion King isn’t defeated. Later, Ritsuka, Mash, Da Vinci Sanzang, Touta, Lancelot and his knight prepare to leave for the desert. On Da Vinci’s request, Bedivere goes to contact the Saracerns, starting with the eastern village since he’s familiar with its leader Cursed Arm. Lancelot orders the other knights to remain in camp until Bedivere brings back word from the Saracens about their proposal to ally with Ozymandias. If the proposal is accepted, the knigths will move to the hidden valley near Camelot and stand by. Ritsuka’s group then depart for the desert in Da Vinci’s newly built vehicle, the Bastiyan.

Ritsuka, Mash, Da Vinci, and Sanzang ride in the Bastinyan while Touta and Lancelot and his troop follow on horseback. They eventually near Ramesseum Tentyris, and rest for the night before meeting Ozymandias tomorrow. While everyone else is sleeping, Ritsuka tells Da Vinci what they learned of Marisbilly’s participation in the Grail War of 2004 and his relations with Romani. Da Vinci reveals she was summoned in the Chaldea after the war and only met Marisbilly briefly before he died that same year. She doesn’t know the relationship between Romani and Marisbilly though. She also mentions how Mash’s condition worsened after fusing with Galahad. She reveals Romani with the process on Marisbilly’s request, though he previously did not know of such experiments despite his years of service in Chaldea. She confesses how infuriated she was when she learned of Chaldea’s unethical experiments. She stayed though to keep Romani from overworking himself. She tells Ritsuka that Romani is a regular human like them, but he is hiding something akin to the Grail. However, if Romani were to use it, he would die or something similar. Da Vinci assures Ritsuka that Romani is an ally with not ulterior motives, even if his past is unknown. She then tells them to go to sleep since their negotiations with Ozymandias are tomorrow.

The next day, the group arrive at the temple, and Da Vinci sends a messenger to Ozymandias. While waiting for his reply, Mash asks her about the contents of the message. Da Vinci answers it was a request for Ozymandias to join them and to prepare for their arrival. Touta says Ozymandias would see it as a chance to test their strength when a group of sphinxes emerge from the temple gates. While Lancelot and his knights fight the sphinxes, the rest of the group enter the temple.

Inside the temple, Mash leads the group to the throne. Sanzang realizes the temple has a similar feeling to Camelot, meaning Ozymandias can isolate himself like the Lion King. Nitocris suddenly appears and claims Rhongomyniad is powerless against her mirror. After greeting the group, she fights them with her summoned monsters as a trial for them to gain an audience with Ozymandias. After she’s defeated, Nitocris allows them to meet with Ozymandias. In the throne room, Ozymandias congratulates the group on their victory over Nitocris. He then asks Ritsuka why they’ve come, to which Ritsuka mentions the message they sent earlier. Ozymandias admits however he thought the message was a joke. Sanzang tells him how she heard tales of how he differed from the Lion King because he prioritized the lives of his people. However, she criticizes him for isolating them inside his people, instead of fighting the Lion King because he knows he can’t defeat her alone. Ozymandias counters it is pointless to fight the Lion King due to the Incineration of Humanity. He says he will only protect his people, as the rest aren’t his concern. Sanzang reprimands him for this as he is ignoring the world’s destruction like the Lion King. Intrigued by her words, Ozymandias tests the group’s strength and resolve to save the world. He pours some of his own blood into the Grail and drinks it to incarnate himself into Amon. However, he grants the name Amun-Ra onto Amon, temporarily turning him into a Divine Spirit. The group fight to prove to him they can defeat the Lion King. Unfortunately, the temple supplies Amun-Ra with infinite magical energy, instantly regenerating any wounds they inflict. However, thanks to Sanzang unlocking her full power, they eventually defeat him. Returning to normal, Ozymandias congratulates the group on their victory when Nitocris enters the room. Although they already proved their strength to fight the Lion King, he fights the group again with Nitocris to prove their worthiness as allies. After being defeated, Ozymandias admits he is like the Lion King. He then gives the Grail to Mash and says Rhongomyniad must be stopped as well to restore the era. He lends his army of sphinxes for the assault on Camelot. He says he will not join the battle personally though since he has other matters to deal with.  When Mash mentions King Hassan, Ozymandias reveals he waged war with the Saracens as he expanded his desert. However, while plotting his next move, he was decapitated by Hassan. But since it occurred in his temple, he didn’t die, and the wound was almost healed when the group first arrived. He then tells the group he would have accepted their proposal if they said they knew Hassan earlier.

Outside the temple, Lancelot tells Ozymandias to march his army to Camelot from the west four days from when the group arrives at the city at dawn. Ozymandias assures him that his army will arrive at the allotted time. He also sends his beast trainers with the group to further discuss the plan. Three days later, the group return to the eastern village.

At the village, they tell Bedivere and the Hassan that they have now Ozymandias’ support. Serenity confirms they’ve gather 17, 000 followers. Hundred Faced says there are 2,000 people in Camelot secretly supporting their rebellion. The rebellion had difficulty growing at first, but it grew exponentially after Ritsuka and Mash saved the refugees from the Holy Execution. While Touta and Sanzang go prepare the food, Cursed Arm reviews their strategy with Ritsuka. The group will join the forces positioned at the wasteland, then march towards Camelot. Lancelot offers to lead the army since he knows all the blind spots to avoid the patrol. However, there will be no blind spots once they reach Camelot’s territory. Cursed Arm agrees and says they’ll rest further from the city before marching to it during the night. The army will breakthrough the Lion King’s forces and force their way into the city. After they capture the city and its castle, Ritsuka’s group will kill the Lion King. With discussions over, Ritsuka, Mash, and Bedivere prove their resolve to the Hassans through combat. Later at night, Ritsuka talks with Sanzang while Mash speaks with the Hassans and Touta after putting Rushd to bed.

Meanwhile, Da Vinci and Lancelot discuss how to break through Camelot’s main gates. She suggests blasting through it with a Noble Phantasm, but Lancelot reveals the gates render malicious attacks and evil powers ineffective. Not even the greatest holy sword could put a dent in them. Lancelot says his unit will build a scaffold to climb over the western wall once Ozymandias’ divine beasts break it down. Da Vinci is concerned about the difficulty of the task since the wall is Rhongomyniad, not to mention Mordred and her forces patrols outside. Lancelot assures her that his unit will handle Mordred’s forces, as hers are less proficient that his. Afterwards, he and his units will scale the wall. Da Vinci says she and the others will wait by the castle wall while protecting their allies until he arrives. Once inside, they will head straight for the Lion King while possibly fighting off Tristan and Agravain. Lancelot wonders if Agravain plans to use them to weaken the Lion King’s power, believing he only acts in self-interest. He mentions Agravain secretly controlled the government in both Britain and the Holy City. He resolves to kill him out of a belief he manipulated the king. Da Vinci however points out if Agravain truly acted on self-interest, then Camelot would be a bureaucratic city with useless functions they can take advantage of. Instead Camelot is a city without self-interest with no functions they can advantage of.

Later, Mash finds Bedivere crying while looking for Ritsuka. Bedivere tells her Ritsuka isn’t with him. When she decides to search elsewhere, he asks her to stay and talk. He reveals he lost all physical sensations years ago. He confesses he was crying out of fear about the righteousness of his actions. Mash realizes he fears meeting the Lion King. Bedivere concurs and asks her, as a Knight of the Round, if she fears it too. Mash answers she is afraid of fighting the Lion King, but asserts she wants to answer Galahad’s trust in her and Ritsuka. Glad to hear her answer, Bedivere admits he previously thought Mash was a counterfeit like him when she said she was a Demi-Servant to her confusion.  He then reveals he came to the era to atone for an unforgivable crime he committed. He confesses he ignored the people’s distress the people’s distress to focus on meeting the Lion KIng until he saw Ritsuka and Mash fighting the knights outside Camelot’s gates. He continues he joined Ritsuka and Mash because they were the best way for him to encounter the Lion King. He wonders if his journey will be rendered meaningless when it ends, but Mash assures him it won’t. He reveals the true nature of Mash’s Noble Phantasm isn’t to repel enemy attacks, but to protect people. He tells her to focus her mind on those she wishes to protect, saying her shield’s true nature is the path to the true Camelot.

In the wastelands near Camelot, the group reveiw their strategy once more when Romani reports the city is prepared for them.

Ritsuka, Mash, Da Vinci, and Bedivere will head for the main gates with the infantry. Lancelot will lead his unit while Sanzang and Touta travel together. Once Cursed Arm reaches the castle wall, he’ll thin out the archers placed there by Agravain. Ozymandias’ sphinx army will create a diversion on the west side of Camelot, which the allied forces will use as an opportunity to attack. Lancelot’s knights will advanced before Ritsuka’s group, though Lancelot warns they’ll suffer heavy causalities from the archers. He suspects only sixty percent of the allied forces will make it to the gates, but they no choice but to attack the main gates. Bedivere says they can’t wait for Hassan to arrive to fight Gawain, suspecting Lancelot will have to fight him. However, Lancelot warns they cannot wait for nightfall either to fight Gawain, but Sanzang offers her and Touta’s assistance. Accepting her help, Lancelot commands the allied forces to prepare to advance when a sandstorm suddenly appears from the northern sky to envelop Camelot. Cursed Arm realizes the storm is thanks to Hassan’s power. With the storm making both sides’ archers useless, the allied forces advance onto Camelot as fast as possible.

As the allied forces fight through Camelot’s army, Gawain orders a messanger to tell the archers on the wall to only for aim for enemies directly below them, otherwise they’ll shoot their allies. A soldier reports the right flank’s Third Unit is requesting backup as they’re pinned down by a constant barrage of grain. Gawain orders him not to engage since the enemy is likely a Servant, and to hold rank until Mordred’s unit arrives. Another soldier reports the left flank’s First Unit are being overrun by Lancelot and his Knights. Gawain orders him to tell the First Unit to retreat and regroup with the Fourth Unit then rally with the troops at the right flank. Suddenly though, Hassan appears and kills the soldier who was praising Gawain. Gawain realizes Hassan created the sandstorm and attacks him, believing in the power of his Gift. Hassan easily parries his attack however with his cape to Gawain’s shock. He introduces himself and nonchantly reveals he blocked the sun..

Meanwhile, the allied forces prepare ladders to climb over the wall, but the ladders are destroyed the instant they’e mounted. The sphinxes attacking the main are also unable to even scratch; Bedivere reveals Camelot only grants access to those with righteous hearts. Enemy forces are quickly eliminating the allied forces while Hassan is fighting Gawain. Da Vinci asks Bedivere to use Airgetlám on the gate, but he states it has no effect on Camelot. Suddenly Enforcement Knights under Agravain’s command appear and attack Ritsuka’s group. Meanwhile, as the allied forces are being overwhelmed, Sanzang tells Touta to move to the wall past the front gate. As Touta takes her to the wall, Sanzang prepares her Final Buddha Palm to destroy the gate despite knowing it’ll kill her. Then at the gate, she unleashes her Noble Phantasm with all her power to destroy the front gate, allowing the allied forces to advance. Meanwhile, Touta takes Sanzang to the western wall, where they share one last moment before she disappears.

Inside the castle, a soldier reports to Agravain that the front gate has been destroyed. He asks him to tell the Lion King to use Rhongomyniad before the allied forces arrive in the city. Agravains however tells the soldier there’s no need since Tristan is in the city while Mordred is outside. He orders the soldiers to continue fighting until the sandstorm disappears. However, the soldier reports Mordred’s unit was routed by Lancelot’s.

Ritsuka’s group finally enter Camelot. Romani warns there’s a mass of knights akin to divine constructs created by Rhongomyniad approaching. Mash notices there are no civilians, and she wonders if they were absorbed by Rhongomyniad. Da Vinci says Camelot’s surroundings would be the world’s edge if that were true. She assumes the civilians were evacuated before the battle started. After the group defeat the knights, Romani reports the allied forces are inside the city and moving towards its center. The group continue towards the castle before they can encounter any Knights of the Round.

Meanwhile, in the throne room, Agravain reports to the Lion King that the allied forces have entered the city after destroying the main gate. As the Holy Selection is finished, he implores her to open the way to the Tower, and create the utopia she failed to create in Britain. Complying with his request, the Lion King fully activates Rhongomyniad.

The group near the castle, but they’re stopped when the Tower suddenly manifests around it. Romani reports he is detecting a gravitational collapse from all corners of the era. He warns the ends of the world are encroaching onto Camelot. He reports the allied forces are pinned at the front gate, with the enemy now rallied by the Tower’s appearance. He implores the group to remove the Tower before the allied forces are eliminated. However, Mordred appears and states it is impossible to remove Rhongomyniad as she attacks Bedivere. She prepares to fight the group like she promised earlier, but Bedivere tells her they have no time to waste on her. He further tells her it’s disgraceful that she calls herself King Arthur’s heir. He asks her if she thinks nothing of the Lion King trying to burn the world along with her. Mordred retorts that the Lion King has no need for an army as her ideal city is one without war. She continues that the army will die protecting Camelot, saying they’ll become the Foundation of Humanity created by the Lion King. She states it is an honor for the Lion King’s Round Table, which Bedivere never became a part of. She then becomes infuriated at Bedivere for being present at King Arthur’s final moments, claiming he doesn’t understand the other knights’ feelings because of that. Enraged that Bedivere appeared from nowhere after everything that happened, Mordred fights the group. After being defeated, Mordred still tries to fight again despite her wounds, claiming only King Arthur can kill her. Bedivere stops her though, saying her dream to truly serve King Arthur will never come true for she’s the Knight of Treachery. He confesses he was only with the king in her final moments because he was weak and unable to save her. He claims both he and Mordred were weak and incompetent knights unworthy to be by the king’s side. He tells Mordred that her dream to serve the king despite being hated by the king means she surpassed him in that respect. He claims her life was purer than that of a sinner like him. He then finishes her after asking forgiveness for ruining her dream. Unfortunately, the group finds it’s impossible to remove the Tower from the outside unless they defeat the Lion King at the center. Suddenly though, Ozymandias and Nitocris direct all of Ramesseum Tentyris’s magical energy to attack the Tower. However, the attack is blocked by the magical walls surrounding Camelot, so Ozymandias uses his own Spirit Origin to accelerate the temple towards the city. After the walls are destroyed, Nitocris reports the Tower is preparing to attack as she sees Ozymandias is fading. Nitocris uses Anpu Neb Ta Djeser to block the light from the Tower. Ozymandias uses that chance to crash the temple into the Tower to destroy it. With Nitocris’ mirror broken and Ozymandias having used all of his energy, the two pharaohs disappear.

Gawain and Hassan continue their fight, with an hour having passed since it began. Hassan suddenly ends their fight, and stops the sandstorm, claiming there’s no need for it anymore. Gawain attacks him with Galatine, but Hassan easily deflects it. Realizing the tremendous power Hassan possesses, Gawain asks him why he didn’t stop the Lion King before Camelot was built half a year ago. Hassan answers the will of heaven hasn’t tasked him to fight the Lion King, implying it is instead Ritsuka and the others’ task. He tells Gawain to the go to the castle and confess his sin before Rhongomyniad consumes the world. After Hassan leaves, a soldier tells Gawain the rest of the army will go after the rebels. However, Gawain orders him to hold the gate while he returns to the castle. He continues the battle’s outcome will be decided within the hour. He tells the soldier to take his men and head north if the castle becomes ablaze. Ordering the soldier to take as many home as possible, Gawain states the expedition was doomed from the start. After thanking the soldier for his service, Gawain moves into the city.

Inside the city, the group realize Ozymandias had destroyed the Tower, believing the enemy is now demoralized. Romani however warns the era is still being destroyed as Rhongomyniad is still active. He explains the tower is only Rhongomyniad’s sheath, so the Lion King needs to be defeated to stop the era’s collapse. The group hurry to the castle when Lancelot arrives in the city. Lancelot reports their allies now control the front gate, with many of the enemy archers on the wall having surrounded. After being told Gawain returned to the castle, Da Vinci says they need to defeat the Lion King before Gawain arrives. Instead of joining the group, Lancelot decides he’ll look for Agravain as he believes he is too dangerous. The group takes a direct route into the castle while Lancelot takes a back route to capture Agravain. As they approach the castle, Bedivere talks how Agravain was viewed as a cold villain, given his disdain for people. He continues the collapse of the Round Table and the fall of Camelot began after Agravain died. He states King Arthur needed Agravain, perhaps even more than Merlin. Mash agrees with his assessment, confessing she felt relieved when she saw Agravain. She felt as if her Spirit Origin said King Arthur would fine as long as Agravain is around. Bedivere mentions Galahad was an excellent judge of character, who trusted Agravain because he felt his heart had some justice in it. He suddenly blocks a surprise attack by Tristan from the roof of a building. Tristan comes down and fights the group after telling Bedivere that the Round Table he knew never existed in the era. Unfortunately, they still can’t defeat him, as he claims he only needs to keep them busy until Rhongomyniad completes its task. Fortunately for the group though, the Hassans arrive to fight Tristan. The group then go ahead to the castle, assured by the Hassans that they’ll defeat Tristan. Breaking through the knights guarding the castle, the group enter it.

Meanwhile, the Hassans continues their fight with Tristan, with him having killed 95 of Hundred Faced’s personas. Serenity activates her Noble Phantasm to poison him, stating Hundred Faced and Cursed Arm were distracting him until she activated it. Hundred Faced reveals they discovered poison caused Tristan’s death. She prepares to finish him off when he kills both her and Serenity. He reveals his Gift, ’’Reversal’’, was originally intended to make him heartless, but it also revered his weakness to poison. Realizing their attack was in vain, Cursed Arm unwraps his right arm. He then grabs Tristan’s arm after taking a direct hit from him. Cursed Arm’s arm suddenly moves on its own to Tristan’s surprise. Curse Arm explains he stole the arm from Shaytan, having controlled it through a curse. With the curse now removed though, Shaytan will take over his body and devour him, with Tristan being the sacrifice. As Tristan agonizes at being devoured, Cursed Arm tells him how the Hassans protected the people of the Holy Land with no need for Gifts nor utopia. However, Tristan uses Failnaught to free himself, but he realizes Shaytan has already devoured half of him.

Inside the castle, the group near the throne when they’re confronted by Gawain. Gawain states with the appearance of the Tower, each of the Knights of the Round are left to their own devices on how to serve the Lion King. Bedivere realizes Gawain would remain the king’s sword, and not even stop him from revealing the king’s mistakes and denouncing Camelot. Gawain reveals the Lion King said he could do anything he wanted to his delight after she summoned him. He claims Bedivere being present in King Arthur’s final moments was merely a coincidence. He continues his inability to cast away his personal grudges caused the king’s death, saying he cannot repeat that foolishness again. He states the Lion King wouldn’t call herself such if she was the same King Arthur from before. He reveals Percival, Kay, Gaheris, Palamedes, King Pellinore, and Bors had revolted against the Lion King after being summoned instead of accepting her proposal, which he saw as them showing their loyalty to King Arthur. He reveals they were all killed by him and the other Knights of the Round serving the Lion King. He states the Knights of the Round were branded as sinners from the moment they pledge their loyalty to Lion King and helped her to destroy the world. Claiming he is now a knight serving the Lion King instead of King Arthur, Gawain asks Bedivere what his sword is for. Bedivere responds that right arm is the end of his loyalty and proof of a sin he couldn’t erase. He continues that his arm was for the sake of saving the king who walked alone. Gawain then fights the group, calling Bedivere the last remnant of the old Round Table and chivalry. After being defeated, Gawain claims it as the fate of a disloyal knight like him. Bedivere tells him he is more loyal than any other knight, who like himself admired the king rather than the concept of honor. Gawain asks him why he appeared now at the end, claiming the king could have regained her heart if he was around. He then disappears after telling Bedivere he resents him sincerely, which Bedivere agrees with.

Meanwhile, Lancelot confronts Agravain, declaring he’ll make him pay for the atrocities he committed in the king's name. In response, Agravain suddenly attacks Lancelot with the power of Madness Enhancement he gave his knights. He reveals he became a Knight of the Round through the machinations of his mother, Morgan le Fay, despite not wanting to be one. His purpose was to steal the throne from King Arthur and give it to Morgan. He agreed as he wanted to Britain to continue on with a strong king, using King Arthur to that end. Continuing to attack, Agravain states how he needed a king who’d labor and extend Britain’s life even for a little. Not caring who was king, he used King Arthur as the best way to achieve his goal. Speaking of his misogyny, misanthropy, and hatred of love, Agravain reveals how relieved he felt when he feared being resented by the king. However, he felt unfathomably empty upon learning of the king’s secret when exposing Lancelot and Guinevere’s affair.  He then continues fighting Lancelot while claiming it’s punishment for betraying the king once again.

Entering the throne room, the group see the Lion King, Artoria Pendragon, sitting on her throne. Artoria asks who they are and their purpose for coming before her. Ritsuka answers they came to correct the course of humanity, which Artoria sees as the same as killing her. Artoria explains Ritsuka wasn’t chosen by Rhongomyniad because their soul is good yet commits evil, which is the same as being evil. Artoria claims Ritsuka’s souls is unneeded for her utopia, as she unleashes the storms at the Ends of the World from behind the throne. Da Vinci realizes Artoria was at the Ends of the World from the very beginning as the king stands from her throne and prepares to fight. Ritsuka asks her why she’s abandoning the world. She answers she is doing so to help humanity survive, as Solomon’s Incineration of Humanity goes against her purpose. She states gods like her are born from humans, so they must be protected at all costs. Claiming to care for all humans, she reveals her ideal to give humans eternity by gathering, freezing, and archiving the purest of those souls inside Rhonongomyniad. After being rejected by Ritsuka, Artoria asks Mash if she understands her ideal as she explains human lives are finite. While Mash struggles to answer, Romani implores Ritsuka to destroy Rhongomyniad as Artoria’s mentality is now of a god without a sense of human values. The group then fight her, referring to her now as Goddess Rhongomyniad. Unfortunately, they struggle against her with her massive magical energy damaging Sheba, and her Authority bearing down on them. She declares the Ends of the World are near, claiming happiness will be granted to humanity through eternal survival. She again explains her ideal, seeing it as the ultimate conclusion of her ideal. Mash rejects her concept of happiness as she recalls all the people in the era that struggled to live regardless of the issues. She continues that life isn’t meaningless because it ends, and challenges Goddess Rhongomyniad to battle. Complying with her request, Goddess Rhongomyniad launches Rhongomyniad at her when Mash activates Lord Camelot.

In a flashback of Bedivere’s past, it is revealed that Goddess Rhongomyniad is an Artoria from a parallel world. Differing from the Artoria who went to Avalon, she had stayed behind on the earth, and eventually turned into a Divine Spirit due to Rhongomyniad. Merlin knows the former while Bedivere knows the latter. Normally, Goddess Rhongomyniad is an Artoria who would have never manifested yet she was able due to Singularity’s influence. Bedivere had searched for the Artoria he knew and eventually ended in Avalon after exhausting himself. With his body and soul damaged yet his mind intact, he was helped by Merlin so he can complete the task he failed to complete. Merlin cast a spell on Bedivere to deceive mainly the Knights of the Round from discovering his true idenity, otherwise they’ll awaken to the truth of the Lion King. He was warned that he’ll die regardless of the outcome, and his soul was exhausted and ousted from the cycle of reincarnation. Before he was sent to the Singularity, Bedivere was given Airgetlám by Merlin after it was changed from something else. He was warned though it would use his soul as fuel.

As Mash tries to block Rhongomyniad, Bedivere walks to her and tells her that her shield, which manifests the true Camelot, shall never break as long as its wielder’s heart remains pure. He tells her the Round Table chose her to show the goodness of her heart. Goddess Rhongomyniad becomes confused by Bedivere’s identity, but Mash’s reply that she knows him as a Knight of the Round leaves her more confused. In response, Bedivere counters Rhongomyniad with Airgetlám, whose light Goddess Rhongomyniad recognizes yet leaves her more confused about Bedivere. Bedivere apologizes to Ritsuka for the truth of the Lion King from the beginning, as Ritsuka notices his body is breaking down. Romani reveals Bedivere isn’t a Servant but a regular human. Bedivere confirms his analysis and reveals Airgetlám is Excalibur in disguise. When Goddess Rhongmyniad finally remembers his name, Bedivere reveals he failed to return Excalibur to the lake on his third try out of fear of losing his king. When he saw she disappeared upon returning to the forest though, he realized his failure to return Excalibur left Artoria unable to die. With Rhongomyniad still hand, she wandered the earth and eventually became a Divine Spirit. Bedivere spent 1,500 years searching for her to atone for his failure, with Excalibur keeping his body alive throughout the centuries. Bedivere thanks Ritsuka for giving him another chance to meet Artoria. Goddess Rhongomyniad tells him to throw Excalibur away and return to her despite still not remembering him. Bedivere refuses and fights her together with Mash. Despite her power though, Goddess Rhongomyniad is shocked to find a mere human like Bedivere is able push her back. She asks him why he still fights despite his body breaking down. Bedivere answers it’s because he still remembers her smile. As she begs him not to use Excalibur, he thanks her on behalf on the Knights of the Round for saving Britain despite carrying the burden of their era alone and being ostracized. Calling her his shining star, Bedivere returns Excalibur to Goddess Rhongomyniad. Upon being returned Excalibur to her, Goddess Rhongomyniad finally remembers Bedivere, and thanks him for fulfilling her last order to him as her last and most loyal knight. After Bedivere disappears, Rhongomyniad vanishes with Excalibur being returned. This results in the era's collapse to cease, and Camelot begins to disappear. With Excalibur in hand, Goddess Rhongomyniad is prepared to fight the group again, but she decides against it as they begin to disappear. With the Grail retrieved and Rhonogmyinad gone, Romani explains the era’s restoration is occurring rapidly as a result to return any foreign existences (such as Camelot) to their original places. Goddess Rhongomyniad returns to her throne to Mash’s confusion. Da Vinci explains she won’t disappear like a summoned Heroic Spirit as she arrived in the era through her own power. She further explains with Rhongomyniad gone, Goddess Rhongomyniad will cease to exist. Even if Chaldea were to encounter another King Arthur wielding Rhongomyniad, they will not be the same person. Mash is sadden Bedivere’s sacrifice was possibly in vain, but Goddess Rhongomyniad assures her that wasn’t as she was released. She reveals her existence allowed her to learn a certain truth about Solomon due to gaining the same perspective as him. She reveals the temple where Solomon resides is outside the proper flow of time. Only the seventh Grail can reveal its location, as it was the one Solomon sent into the past personally. Romani is confused about the seventh Singularity existing before Solomon’s era, as he thought Solomon left behind Grails to manifest in each era he knew served as Foundations of Humanity before his death. Goddess Rhongomyniad confirms six of the Grails were left behind to be found by mages descended from Solomon’s bloodline to manifest as Demon Gods when the time of their awakening arrives. The seventh Grail alone was sent into the past by Solomon, serving as the first step towards the Incineration of Humanity. She reveals human history will remain incinerated if the era where the seventh Grail resides is left unrestored. Thanked by Romani for the information, Goddess Rhongomyniad tells Ritsuka that she believes her motives were right as protecting humanity requires a different approach than protecting an individual. For that very reason she tells them to follow the path they feel is best. She then warns them at the final Singularity lies an unimaginable evil, one that surpasses Solomon, the original sin of humanity. She tells Ritsuka gather allies who will falter when faced against the Evils of Humanity. She then states there was meaning in both Bedivere’s mistake and her existence before the group is forcibly rayshifted back to Chaldea.

Outside the city, the Enforcement knights disappear, Camelot forces surrender, and Touta disappear after saying his goodbyes. Inside the city, Cursed Arm resigns himself to be eaten by Shaytan as he's unable to move. However, Shaytan is slain by Hassan, and Cursed Arm prepares to executed by him. Hassan decides to spare him though, claiming Shaytan's arm is Cursed Arm. Telling Cursed Arm he's no longer one of the Hassans, Hassan congratulates him for alone escaping the fate of the Hassans. After Hassan leaves, Cursed Arm decides to stay in era to help restore the Saracens, pledging it on his original name of Hanam. Once that task is finished, he hopes to meet and help Ritsuka again.

Inside the castle, Agravain enters the throne room grievously wounded and tells Goddess Rhongmyniad that the rebels are coming. Though he knows she would never lose against them, he also knows her tendency to respect her opponent's ideal. Goddess Rhongomyniad tells Agravain he should be concerned about himself as she observes his wounds. Revealing he was victorious against Lancelot, Agravain is told by Goddess Rhongomyniad to approach her throne so she may at least ease his pain a little. He replies he isn't worthy as he still needs to defeat the rebels, restore Camelot, guide the selected citizens, and build a splendid palace for her. However, when he realizes his end is near, Agravain apologizes to her for again failing to create the ideal utopia she wanted and he wanted to give her. Goddess Rhongomyniad doesn't blame him for his failure though, and she tells to rest since his single flaw is him being a workaholic. Agravain considers her concern to be nonsense since she is more of a workaholic than him.

Camelot: The Sacred Round Table Realm (神聖円卓領域, Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki?), alternatively The Shining Airgetlám (輝けるアガートラム, Kagayakeru Agātoramu?), was the sixth of the seven primary Singularities in the Human Order Incineration Incident. Located in the Holy LandWP, A.D. 1273, it's Humanity Foundation Value was EX.

Setting

FGO Camelot

The Singularity was located in A.D. 1273, in the Holy Land around JerusalemWP. The roots of the Singularity lie in several events. Firstly, someone who should have died midway through the Ninth CrusadeWP was given a Holy Grail, and using its power, the expeditionary force reached the Holy Land, burning the lands and slaughtering the people living there. The crusaders subsequently captured the expeditionary force and occupied the Holy Land.[1]

Secondly, Bedivere did not return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake, Artoria Pendragon was unable to die when she was fated to after the Battle of Camlann, ending up becoming a wandering ghost.[2] With Rhongomyniad still in hand, she eventually turned into a Divine Spirit, who would come to be known as the Lion King. The Lion King then bestowed Gifts on the surviving knights, with the exception of Agravain.[1]

Her brother Gawain was the one who struck them both down.[1] Afterwards, the Lion King and her knights established the Holy City of Camelot in the Holy Land. This occurred about half a year before Chaldea's arrival.[2]

History

Realizing her error, Nitocris brings the group to Ramesseum Tentyris as a show of gratitude.[3]

After the purposely weakened sphinx retreats, Nitocris says they passed, and they continue to the temple.[4]

She calls the desert a distortion invading the Singularity, and she reveals there is another similar location.[4]

The group then continue their journey, now in a vehicle Da Vinci built from the material she took from Ozymandias.[4]

Romani tells the group to head to the Holy City, the source of the Singularity according to Ozymandias.[5]

Da Vinci then throws a flashbang to disorient Gawain as they escape.[6] Romani reports the refugees are being pursued by enforcement knights. The group go to fight the knights since Gawain retreated as it is night once again.[7]

After the Lion King leaves, Agravain orders Tristan to contact Lancelot and tell him to pursue and eliminate Ritsuka’s group.[7]

Seeing the Lion King is the era’s distortion, the group agree to help Bedivere as they depart.[7]

After the group escapes, Lancelot orders his knights to search the mountains for the group.[7]

Seeing that King Arthur and the Knights of the Round have fallen, Bedivere decides the Lion King cannot be allowed to exist.[7]

He tells Arash to show them around while he prepares a place for the refugees.[8]

Inside the village, Arash learns of the group’s circumstances. Bedivere expresses his intention to return to Camelot alone. But Arash tells him to rest, as Romani states his Spirit Origin looks terrible. He then asks the group to help him kill the bandits and monsters surrounding the mountain, believing it’ll help gain the villager’s trust.[8]

Pleased with their answer, Bedivere tells them he’ll try to convince Curse Arm to fight with him tomorrow.[8]

Learning of Intoxicated Smoke’s death, Cursed Arm is warned of an attack on the western village by Mordred.[8]

The village is successfully protected, but Bedivere passes out from the strain.[9]

Remembering she smiled for others’ joy inside of her own, Bedivere begs for forgiveness for fighting against Arthur now.[10]

Hundred-Faced agrees, and the group depart while Arash stays to protect the village.[10]

The group agree to help her since they’re heading to the same place.[10]

The other use her distraction to sneak into the dungeon.[11]

The poison knocks the knights giving the group the chance to escape.[11]

Exiting the fort, the group are told by Hundred Faced that Agravain rode back to Camelot. She lets them deal with the remaining soldiers while she steals some horses. After defeating the soldiers, the group ride back to the village.[12]

He stops however when one of them says they’ll organize to find and eradicate the group along with the mountain villages.[12]

There he will show them the secrets of the Hassan sect.[12]

The group then leaves for the Shrine of Azrael while Arash stays to protect the village.[13]

He also tells them to restore the Holy Land and return the holy artifact before again concealing himself.[13]

Exiting the shrine, Mash tells Romani of the Atlas Institute out in the desert. Romani warns of the dangerous magical weapons in there. He knows it is necessary to go there though to learn the truth. The group then travel back to the eastern village.[14]

She assumes they’re in a cave that’s used for evacuations.[14]

He then seemingly kills Arash with Arondight Overload.[14]

While the others go to the cave, Touta stays to witness Arash counter Rhongomyniad with Stella.[14]

The group then leave for the desert.[14]

He tells the Lion King to not let Bedivere concern her, but she is confused as she doesn’t know who Bedivere is.[15]

After slaying the sphinxes, the group fall through a pitfall trap.[15]

Upon landing, the group are greeted by Sherlock Holmes, who reveals they're in the Atlas Institute.[15] After deducing their identities, he confesses he left the note regarding the truth of Servant summoning that Ritsuka and Mash found in London. [16]

Ritsuka believes it’s because Solomon destroyed the world.[16]

He tells the group  he wishes to show them a place which will become unknown if he disappears.[17]

Ritsuka’s group then depart for the desert in Da Vinci’s newly built vehicle, the Bastiyan.[17]

She then tells them to go to sleep since their negotiations with Ozymandias are tomorrow.[17]

While Lancelot and his knights fight the sphinxes, the rest of the group enter the temple.[17]

He then tells the group he would have accepted their proposal if they said they knew Hassan earlier.[17]

Later at night, Ritsuka talks with Sanzang while Mash speaks with the Hassans and Touta after putting Rushd to bed.[18]

Instead Camelot is a city without self-interest with no functions they can advantage of.[18]

He tells her to focus her mind on those she wishes to protect, saying her shield’s true nature is the path to the true Camelot.[18]

With the storm making both sides’ archers useless, the allied forces advance onto Camelot as fast as possible.[19]

He introduces himself and nonchantly reveals he blocked the sun..[19]

Meanwhile, Touta takes Sanzang to the western wall, where they share one last moment before she disappears.[19]

However, the soldier reports Mordred’s unit was routed by Lancelot’s.[19]

The group continue towards the castle before they can encounter any Knights of the Round.[19]

Meanwhile, in the throne room, Agravain reports to the Lion King that the allied forces have entered the city after destroying the main gate. As the Holy Selection is finished, he implores her to open the way to the Tower, and create the utopia she failed to create in Britain. Complying with his request, the Lion King fully activates Rhongomyniad.[19]

With Nitocris’ mirror broken and Ozymandias having used all of his energy, the two pharaohs disappear.[19]

After thanking the soldier for his service, Gawain moves into the city.[19]

Breaking through the knights guarding the castle, the group enter it.[19]

However, Tristan uses Failnaught to free himself, but he realizes Shaytan has already devoured half of him.[19]

He reveals Percival, Kay, Gaheris, Palamedes, King PellinoreWP, and BorsWP had revolted against the Lion King after being summoned instead of accepting her proposal, which he saw as them showing their loyalty to King Arthur. He then disappears after telling Bedivere he resents him sincerely, which Bedivere agrees with.[19]

He then continues fighting Lancelot while claiming it’s punishment for betraying the king once again.[19]

Complying with her request, Goddess Rhongomyniad launches Rhongomyniad at her when Mash activates Lord Camelot.[19]

He was warned though it would use his soul as fuel.[19]

She then states there was meaning in both Bedivere’s mistake and her existence before the group is forcibly rayshifted back to Chaldea.[19]

Once that task is finished, he hopes to meet and help Ritsuka again.[19]

Agravain considers her concern to be nonsense since she is more of a workaholic than him.[19]
