CetusWP (ケトゥス, Ketusu?) is a sea monster in Greek mythology. It is manifested by Servant Andromeda as her Noble Phantasm, Aethiopia Cetus.
Profile[]
Background[]
Cetus was sent by Poseidon to flood the land of AethiopiaWP and eat its princess Andromeda after the queen CassiopeiaWP enraged the sea god. Andromeda was chained to a rock and presented as a sacrifice to Cetus, but just then Perseus happened to pass by on his way home from defeating Medusa. He used Medusa's head to turn Cetus to stone and save Andromeda. Even now, Cetus slumbers in its home, the Aethiopian sea.[1]
Cetus's true nature is unknown, but it is thought to be an aquatic dragon that resembles a whale.[1]
Appearance[]
Cetus is mechanical, similar to other Ancient Greek entities like the Machine Gods, Typhon, and the Trojan Horse.
Personality[]
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
As a Servant, Andromeda can summon Cetus with her Noble Phantasm Aethiopia Cetus. Because her chains bound her to a stone, and Cetus was turned into stone, she can use the chains to call on it.[1]
Other appearances[]
Gorgon's Noble Phantasm Pandemonium Cetus is named after the mythical monster.
