DaedalusWP (ダイダロスWP, Daidarosu?), Class Name Berserker (バーサーカー, Bāsākā?), is a Berserker-class Servant summoned in the A.C.L. Singularity during the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
A legendary craftsman from Greek mythology who built many inventions and constructions. His most famous are the labyrinth used to trap the Minotaur, and mechanical wings which he and his son Icarus used to escape prison.
Appearance[]
Abnormally for a Heroic Spirit, Daedalus manifests as a sole floating arm without a body. Leonardo da Vinci's own analysis suggests that he is not keeping the rest of his body hidden and this arm is his entire form when summoned as a Servant.[1]
Personality[]
Although unintelligible due to only being to communicate in beeping noises as an arm, Naucrate's translation of his words presents Daedalus as a rather crass and prideful individual. He has little tolerance for those that would disturb his work and enjoys being praised when his achievements are listed off by Leonardo da Vinci and Mash Kyrielight.[2]
He claims that he doesn't need to be able to communicate as a true craftsman speaks with their arms unlike Van Gogh, who could only craft mediocre letters and paintings. This pride in his craftsmanship leads him to angrily lash out when Ishtar implies he can't create the Cow of PasiphaeWP to her specifications.[2]
Despite this, he shows a more tender side in regards to the matter of his son. His sole wish for the Holy Grail is to let his son, Icarus, fly with wings that will never break again by summoning him as a Heroic Spirit to equip him with sturdier flight equipment.[2]
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Mystery House Crafters[]
Courtroom for the Judgment of Mankind: Trinity Metatronius[]
Abilities[]
Ishtar describes Daedalus as a craftsman of near-divine caliber, and he is shown to easily float around the Winchester Mystery HouseWP within the A.C.L. Singularity and build a recreation of Rome, a fortress, a peach garden, a cathedral, a subway station, a large city, and a recreation of Ishtar's temple.[3][4]
Using the Cow of Pasiphae, it is even possible for Daedalus to manually forge a Holy Grail if he is given the necessary materials and magical energy to do so. Additionally, as the man who built the Minotaur's labyrinth, he possesses the ability to build Aplόs Chaos Labyrinthos, a simplified version of the Chaos Labyrinthos used by Asterios designed to act as a fortress to kill intruders rather than a maze.[2]
Aside from being able to build Naucrate to act his interpreter and direct means of combating others, he is capable of constructing Militant Machines to serve as efficient guards for his labyrinth.[1][2]
Noble Phantasm[]
Daedalus possesses an unnamed Noble Phantasm that supplies the materials necessary for building and tool-making.[2]
Development[]
Creation and Conception[]
Daedalus was designed by Toru Nakayama in Fate/Grand Order.[5]
