Dioscuri (ディオスクーロイ, Diosukūroi?), Class Name Saber (セイバー, Seibā?), is a Saber/Avenger-class Servant summoned by Kirschtaria Wodime in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
Originating in the Atlantic Lostbelt that diverged in 12,000 BC, the twinsDioscuri CastorWP (ディオスクーロイ ・ カストル, Diosukūroi Kasutoru?), older brother and Dioscuri PolluxWP (ディオスクーロイ ・ ポルクス, Diosukūroi Porukusu?), younger sister are Lostbelt versions of the Dioscuri from the Proper Human History.
Existing until modern day within the Lostbelt, they were both defeated and killed by Kirschtaria Wodime, allowing them to become Heroic Spirits who Kirschtaria subsequently summoned as a Servant. Through the contract Castor came to know of the legends of their Proper Human History counterparts, however, even knowing this he began to hold a deep-seated hatred inside of him against humanity for having disgraced him so. Pollux also began to hold hatred against humanity due to what humanity had made her brother go through. As a result of this, the brother and sister began to possess flames of hatred in their hearts and while interacting with the citizens of Olympus and Chaldea they were ever so violent and vicious.
Appearance[]
Personality[]
After being summoned by Kirschtaria Wodime and learning of their legend in Proper Human History, the Dioscuri developed a deep hatred toward humanity, taking great joy in massacring humans whenever they have the chance. Being regarded as insane by Macarios, Castor mainly has difficulty holding his bloodlust back, needing his sister to help him show patience. Their abhorrence is shown even to the Argonauts, as seen with Jason, despite having memories of being on the same ship. At greater lengths their detestation is directed even to those who are somehow related to humans like Caenis, whom they look down on her background and hatred for the gods and take delight in having a chance to kill her. Even Europa was a target of their loathing, despite her status as Zeus’s consort.
Surprisingly, the Dioscuri were loyal to Kirschtaria, even though he was the one who killed them. They also weren’t above using underhanded tactics to win, such as when Castor took Ritsuka Fujimaru hostage to immobilize their foes after he and his sister were driven into a corner. This tactic only failed because Castor showed momentary surprise upon realizing Fujimaru was the Black Barrel’s ammunition.

Abilities[]
Although the Dioscuri twins are not among the Twelve Olympians, they are no lesser god, either. They are a Divinity that have been around since before the Gigantomachia that joined the greek pantheon by imbibing of Zeus's divine blood, his Klironomia. Although they stood equal to Apollo in his prime, Kirschtaria Wodime was able to defeat and kill them with ease. When summoned as Kirschtaria's Servant, the twin gods are Divine Spirits, which makes them neither living gods nor mechanical ones. They are genuine gods that were reduced to Divine Spirits after death.[3]
Jingle Abel Meuniere and Super Orion state that Dioscuri are Divine Spirit Servants even stronger than Caenis. Even with the support of Mandricardo, Mash Kyrielight, Mochizuki Chiyome, and Jason, Orion implies they would have had a disadvantage in Servant power had they fought the twins.[1] Miyamoto Musashi states that their Magical Energy is intense and that it easily surpasses even that of the Bronze Idol Talos.[2] She describes them as a ludicrously powerful servant.[5]
Combat[]
In combat, Castor wields a shield, and Pollux a sword, both made of light. Miyamoto Musashi states that although Dioscuri's Magical Energy is tough enough, their most impressive stat is their insane Speed which approaches that of lightWP.[4] When first meeting them, Musashi claimed she didn't know a way to fight back against Castor's swordplay. She was impressed not only by his Strength, but his Speed as well. She says that not even a bona fide Sword Saint could replicate that strike. The reason Musashi was able to react to him and protect Mash Kyrielight is that Sherlock Holmes had cast a support Spell on her. If he hadn't, Mash would have been decapitated. Musashi believes she could probably take out one of them if she wasn't worried about making it out alive, but not both.[2] Dioscuri's Authority also allows them to move faster than light, however, since they are no longer proper gods, making true use of their Authority could destroy their entire Spiritual Core. Sherlock Holmes was able to deduce that although they are the "Gods of Light", they aren't capable of nullifying all forms of light directed at them. However, Caenis tells Holmes to stand down and that his magical energy "show" won't be able to harm them at all.[5]
Despite being exhausted after defeating Aphrodite, Miyamoto Musashi buffed by Ares Klironomia and Caenis are able to react to the Dioscuri twins. The combination of Musashi's Niten Ichiryu and Sherlock Holmes's Baritsu was able to take them by surprise. This gave Caligula an opening to use Flucticulus Diana to hinder their minds and Macarios and Adele to create a smokescreen Spell so that they could all retreat. Pollux says that Caligula's Noble Phantasm only affected them because it was derived from Artemis's Spiritron Information Warfare Functionality. Having already experienced it once, they developed a resistance, and it is stated that it would never work on them again.[4]
When Chaldea faces Dioscuri again, they still can't win despite no longer being exhausted. Mash Kyrielight with the Ortinax output at 70% does a great job at defending herself, and despite his injuries, Caligula's fists don't slow down. However, Musashi says it's a matter of time until one of them gives up the ghost, and that she'll have to sacrifice one of her swords after all. Mash then uses Athena's Aegis and Prometheus-Hephaestus modifies Caenis's Saint Graph so that it better synchronizes with Poseidon's Authority, raising her/his Spiritual rank. Musashi now says that with Caenis' unparalleled spear and Mash's invincible shield, the three of them should be able to take both Dioscuri down simultaneously. Being pushed back, Castor resorts to moving faster than lightWP to catch Ritsuka Fujimaru. After he breaks free, Macarios and Adele finish them off with a special spell.[5]
