Durindana (ドゥリンダナ, Durindana?) is the Noble Phantasm of Hector. Durindana is Durandal in Italian.[1]
It is a golden bladed sword/spear able to change its form by controlling the length of its hilt, though Hector prefers to use it as a throwing spear. The spear was praised throughout the world; said spear was extolled as piercing through anything in the world.[2] In the Trojan War, Hector's spear only ever had its throws stopped by Aias the Great's shield.[3] Durindana managed to penetrate Rho Aias' sixth layer of ox hide and the seventh layer remained unbroken.[4][5] Anything with defensive capabilities short of Rho Aias stands no chance against it. After the spear function is lost, it became the Peerless Sword "Durandal: Ultimate Unbroken Hallow" (不毀の極聖, Fuki no Gokushō?), the sword of Roland.[2]
While the sword and spear forms cannot be used at the same time, Hector always has access to both; a Saber summoning can still wield the spear, while a Lancer can still wield the sword.[1]
Durindana Spada[]
Durindana Spada: Ultimate Unbroken Sword (不毀の極剣, Fuki no Kyokken?) is Durindana with its hilt in its shortened state. Namely, Hector is the original owner of this Noble Phantasm. Roland owns what was known as the "Ultimate Unbroken Hallow". Because there are no holy relics in the handle, it is limited as a simple Noble Phantasm that just does a large amount of damage.[1]
Durindana Pilum[]
Durindana Pilum: Ultimate Unbroken Spear (不毀の極槍, Fuki no Kyokusō?) is the throwing spear (PilumWP) held by Hector that could supposedly pierce anything. The only difference from Durindana Spada is the hilt, extended to spear length so it can be thrown. To defend against this spear, one must prepare "Rho Aias", its rival defensive Noble Phantasm. Also, strictly speaking, the True Name of both Noble Phantasms is "Durindana"; it is not necessary to specifically call "Spada" or "Pilum" to activate the attack.[1]
In the Okeanos Singularity of Fate/Grand Order, he uses this to attack Asterios and Heracles while the two are struggling with each other, but is unable to immediately retrieve it as Asterios jumps into the sea with the spear still impaled in his body.

The greatest rival of Rider of Red, Achilles, during his lifetime. He was the strongest hero on the side of Troy during the Trojan War. Also, his younger brother Paris is the perpetrator who caused the Trojan War to happen.
He is the exact opposite of Achilles as a hero, a bearded middle-age man who likes to play the fool. He refers to himself as “mister” (old man) in his speech, and always fights on the battlefield with an easygoing attitude.
He’s ruthless, but not cruel; skilled, yet not gifted. He faced other famous heroes besides Achilles, without retreating a single step… or not; rather, he would often retreat two or three steps and then strike the enemy when their guard’s down, before running away again, and just when they think he’s far away, he throws mud at them; a-anyway, he prided himself at being the strongest when it comes to siege battles.
He uses dual long-sword/throwing spear called Durindana, and by throwing it he managed to pierce through six of the barriers of “Rho Aias: Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens”, which boasts the greatest rank of toughness against projectiles.
In order to settle things once and for all with him, Achilles challenged him to a sink-or-swim duel, where he temporarily gave up his immortality. Unable to resist the temptation of getting the chance to take Achilles’ life, Hector accepted the one-on-one duel and was defeated by a paper-thin difference in skill.
To Achilles, Hector is one of the top three people he never wants to fight again, whether it is before or after his death. The remaining two are Penthesilea and Chiron.ヘクトール【人名】

The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens.
In Greek mythology, the shield used by the hero Aias during the Trojan War.
It was a bronze shield covered by seven layers of ox hide, and the only thing that proved capable of stopping the javelin of the great hero of Troy, Hector. (Though it managed to penetrate six layers of ox hide, the seventh layer was unbroken.)
Afterward, its fame spread, and its existence was eventually sublimed into a "conceptual armament" boasting absolute defensive power against thrown weapons.
It is the only defensive armament Archer can use proficiently.
The Rho Aias that protected Shirou's spellcasting during the finale of the Rin route was not something he projected himself, but was actually made by Archer who was watching the battle from a distance.ロー・アイアス 【宝具】

ギリシャ神話における一大戦争、トロイア戦争において使用された英雄アイアスの盾。
青铜の盾に七枚の牛皮を重ねた盾で、何人たりとも防げなかったという、トロイアの大英雄ヘクトールの投槍を防いだ一品。（このおり、六枚の牛皮を贯かれたが、七枚目で防ぎさった）
以後、投掷兵器に対しては絶対の防御力を誇る“概念武装"として広まり、その存在を昇華した。
アーチャーが唯一得意とする防御用の兵装。
凛ルートラスト、士郎の呪文詠唱を守ったロー·アイアスは、士郎が投影したものではなく、遠くから観戦していたアーチャーが作り上げたもの。
