DuryodhanaWP (ドゥリーヨダナ, Durīyodana?), Class Name Berserker (バーサーカー, Bāsākā?), is a Berserker-class Servant summoned by Ayus in the System Grail War of the Inner World of Paper Moon in Fate/Grand Order. He is later summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru of the Chaldea Security Organization.
Profile[]
Identity[]
Duryodhana is a major character in the ancient Indian epic MahabharataWP. The eldest of the Hundred Princes who opposed the Five Princes that Arjuna and Bhima were part of.
The story goes that his mother received a blessing from Sage Vyasa to birth 100 children but what she gave birth to was one flesh blob. Sage Vyasa split it into 100 and put each piece in a jar, and from those, 100 boys were born.
Duryodhana antagonized the Five Princes whenever possible, and conspired with his uncle ShakuniWP for the rigged dice game that got them exiled from the kingdom. And after they returned from their period of exile, he refused to accept them, causing the Kurukshetra War, which involved all Kurus.
Duryodhana was a master of the mace and a warrior acknowledged by Krishna, but he was ultimately defeated in a duel against Bhima and died trusting Ashwatthama to carry on his will.[1]
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Karna compares Duryodhana to Thomas Edison, saying that both are similar in how they get ahead of themselves and the ways they act like it’s the end of the world when they fail, but can quickly get back on their feet.[3] Karna calls him an amiable man who is clever yet foolish, proud yet full of charity.[4] Ashwatthama says that he, Karna, and Duryodhana used to train together, though Duryodhana would eventually get bored and leave while the other two continued.[5]
He is quickly driven to jealousy, greed and hatred, but is a charismatic man who is hard to dislike.[1] He believes that he is the protagonist, and so even if he cheats, it's okay because he's the protagonist.[6]
Relationships[]
- Lakshmibai
- "I don't care if you're LakshmiWP or AlakshmiWP, one look was all I needed to know we make a good pair. Would you want to join for tea? Oy, why are you running away? OY!"[2]
- Karna
- "OH! KARNA! MY SOUL FRIEND! YOURS TRULY IS SO HAPPY YOU'RE HERE! Alright, let us once again join our powers to bring those PandavasWP to tears."[2]
- Ashwatthama
- "YOU'RE HERE TOO, ASHWATTHAMA? Huhuhu, I won! I won this battle! No, I won't nag you about the night raid, actually. Winning is more important than the greater good."[2]
- Arjuna
- "About Arjuna, huh? Don't like him. The man pulled such a cowardly cheat to kill my Karna. What? He's here, you say? Oy! Seriously? Mention it sooner next time! Agh, yours truly might have gotten a stomachache... We continue this conversation later."[2]
- Bhima
- "BHIMA IS HERE TOO! MASTER, WHY WOULD YOU HAVE THAT MAN HERE WHEN YOU HAVE YOURS TRULY, YOU ADULTERER! No, here's where I have to advertise myself. So... We may be equals in terms of combat power, but I'm sexier... And him? A complete thug that would bisect man and rakshasaWP alike at a drop of a hat... And... I got it! His feet must stink! Yours truly is the best choice for you."[2]
- Ganesha (First Ascension)
- "What? That creature solely dedicated to eating and sleeping is our god Ganesha? Ahaha. You need to improve on your jokes."[2]
- Vritra
- "What? You are Vritra? Haha. I see that you recognized yours truly as a figure rivaling Indra in bravery and came to kill me before I kill you. Hey, wait! Why are you just sighing and walking away? OY?"[2]
- Paris / Oda Nobukatsu
- “Hm? Are you a younger brother? Yes, you are. The younger brother tag shows in your aura. Today I'm feeling that desire to be trusted and revered as the best older brother. So, here I am, feel free to shower yours truly with praise. No, I never said it'd be unpaid work. I wouldn't be the best big brother if I hadn't any pocket money for my baby bros. Here, it's yours to take.”[2]

Paper Moon: Imaginary Compass Inner World[]
Abilities[]
Class Skills[]
- Mad Enchanchment (E- Rank)
Personal Skills[]
- Charisma of Relatable Vice (B- Rank): The Skill that represents his charisma overflowing with human weakness. He's a petty man quickly prone to envy, jealousy, and hatred, but at the same time, has a charm that makes it impossible to leave his side. Despite the trigger for the Kurukshetra War being the consequences of his many evil and unrespectable actions, he only fought in the war as the face of the Kaurava faction because he had enough people taking his side for it. If he was just a small-time ne'er-do-well, he wouldn't have this many people following him. As a Kuru royal, it's conceivable that he has a base level of charm and an admirable human side. That said, people who aren't fully affected by it aren't affected at all.[1]
- The Art of Maces (A Rank)
- Child of Inaspiciousness (EX Rank): The story goes that many ominous events happened when he was born. A wise man recommended the king to cast away that child, as he would invite disaster to all Kurus, but the king didn't accept it. As a result, he caused the great war that doomed the Kurus. Also, some sources go that he's an avatar of the demon Kali.[1]
Noble Phantasm[]
Duryodhana's Noble Phantasm is Jai Kaurava. Jai Kaurava means "Kaurava's victory", or "long live the Kaurava". Noble Phantasm where the eldest of the Kaurava (the sons of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari) simultaneously summons all the Hundred Princes born out of one flesh blob.[1]
