Role[]
Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver[]
Elza is the master of Archer during the 1991 Tokyo Holy Grail War.
On the first day of the Grail War, Elza summons Archer. They then travel around the city to let Archer get a feel for it.
On the second day of the Holy Grail War, Elza and Archer go out to German restaurant for beer. As they are drinking their fill, they discuss their different cultures. Archer marvels at modern vehicles like the train.[3] Meanwhile, Elza thinks about how similar every city and country is and how hellish conflict zones are. Growing bitter, Elza silently admits to herself in her mind that everywhere is like hell to her. Noticing her expression, Archer tries to cheer her up.[2]
On the fourth day, Elza goes to spy on the Reiroukan mansion and sees Berserker trying to infiltrate it. Watching Berserker's attempts, Elza assesses the strength of Caster's bounded fields. She then leaves and reconvenes with Archer.
On the fifth day, Elza encounters Tatsumi Kitano in Akihabara. When she met him, she heard that his wish was to "Save this city (Tokyo) and people who live in it." Even though he knew Elza was an enemy Magus, Tatsumi bequeathed his wish to her; shocking her. Elza then chides him for being so naive. The next day, Elza encounters Tatsumi and Berserker again after their meeting with Lancer. Treating them to dinner, Elza scolds them for naivety and warns them to be careful of the other Masters. She also advises them to visit the Overseer, Sancraid Phahn, at his church in Ochanomizu to register their participation in the Holy Grail War.[4]
On the seventh day, Elza and Archer drive up to the Okutama mountains using a motorbike. Once there, the pair separate to investigate the area for Rider's base. As Archer battles Saber, Elza comes across Manaka Sajyou who coerces her into becoming her personal servant. During this encounter, she recalls her son, Luka and his final moments.
On day eight, Elza receives orders from the overseer requesting them to deal with Assassin.
On the tenth day, before Archer fights against Rider, Archer asks Elza what it was that she truly desired. Elza states that she wants to fulfill Tatsumi's wish. Understanding her real intentions, Archer goes to fight against Rider in order to save Tokyo and its people. Forced by Manaka Sajyou, she uses up all of her Command Spells to amplify Archer's Magical Energy, enabling him to use Stella at full power in order to defeat Rider. After Rider's demise, Elza cries as Archer fades out of existence. Elza is not seen after this point, however, Caster speculates that she must still be crying for Arash even now.
On the thirteenth day of the Holy Grail War, Elza meets up with an old reporter acquiantance called Mr. Saejima. As they drink, Saejima scoffs at the idea that Rider's pyramid was a mirage like the news claimed. Elza asks for the reason behind his theory and Saejima explains the basis for it. Downing another beer, Saejima asks Elza about the recent incidents (e.g. Miss Mary, the pyramid and the missing girls) and asks if she has any information on them. Motivating herself, Elza decides to do something to help and gives him some information.[5]
On the last day of the Holy Grail War after the Holy Grail's destruction or sealment, Elza is seen looking up at the morning sky from the rooftop of the Hilltop Hotel where she is staying. Having sensed the subsequent earthquake that followed the Grail's destruction, she immediately understood that it meant the end of the Holy Grail War. She also somehow found out the truth about the Holy Grail War either from Manaka or Sancraid.[6]
As she thinks about Archer again, Elza starts to cry and calls out his name repeatedly. Having accepted his death, Elza says goodbye to Archer. She then forces herself to perk up after crying a bit more. She then declares to herself that she will cheer herself up, pack her bags and go to the nearest church to see Sancraid. She will then put on her best pitiful woman performance and try to tolerate Sancraid's gloats. She then also declares to herself that after finishing her reports at the Church, she will go back to her hometown and visit Luca's grave. She will then tell Luca all about Arash.[6]
At the train station, Elza bumps into Tatsumi's younger sister, Tamaki Kitano on the way to the train to the airport. They pass each other by without exchanging a word.[7]
