Alignment[]

Alignment [Others]
In Fate/stay night, all of the Servants' alignments can be viewed on their respective status screens.
The first part indicates the principles they consider important, and the second part indicates personality.
Below is a complete list of alignments featured in the game, for comparison purposes.

Saber: Lawful Good
Lancer: Lawful Neutral
Archer: True Neutral
Rider: Chaotic Good
Caster: Neutral Evil
Berserker: Chaotic Insane
Assassin: Lawful Evil
Kojirou: Neutral Evil
Gilgamesh: Chaotic Good
Saber Alter: Lawful Evil

While a difference in personality generally won't be too much of a problem, a difference in principles will inevitably lead to friction.
Saber and Gil would be a good example of that.

属性【その他】
ステータス画面で見られる、各サーヴァントの属性。
それぞれ重んじる方針と性格を表している。

性格の不一致はそう問題にはならないが重んじる方針が同じ場合、軋際は大きくなるとか。
セイパーとギルはそのいい例。

Anti-Heroes[]

[v] Fate/side material - Encyclopedia: Anti-Heroes [Others], p.070

Anti-Heroes [Others]
People who are hated, yet the result of their atrocities ultimately saved others. They are the ones who define "good" with "evil".
Although they are the targets of curses, they are still worshiped as messiahs.
They are the anti-heroes.
However, true anti-heroes do not exist.
Ultimately they only reach the level of "individuals who did good while carrying out evil" (stopping short of being true anti-hero).
Assassin and Archer fall into this category.
Rider and Caster are not true Heroic Spirits, but they are not true anti-heroes either.

反英雄【その他】
人々に憎悪される事.その悪行が結果として人々を救う事、悪を以って善を明確にするモノ。
呪われる対象でありながら、奉られる事になった救世主。
それが反英雄である。
といっても、純粋な反英雄は存在しない。
せいぜい悪でありながら善をおこなったモノ止まりである。
アサシン、アーチャーがこれに该当する。
ライダーやキャスターは正純の英霊ではないが、完全な反英雄という訳でもない。

Aozaki[]

Aozaki [Person's name]
The name that briefly appeared in this story. It was the name of the mage house that managed the greatest "Spiritual Land" in Japan.
In the mage world, the name had become synonymous with trouble.
The Aozakis were an ancient house, but were by no means prestigious. Because of the "Path" opened by the previous Heads, the current Head of the Aozakis had a greater chance of becoming a "Magician".
The current heirs were a pair of sisters whom were thought to be ominous. After a battle for the right of inheritance, the younger sister became heir of the "Magician" title.
The older sister traveled to London and made quite a name for herself, but quickly withdrew from the Association due to being problematic.
During the Fifth Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City, the older sister was busy hiding her tracks, while the younger sister was roaming around the country.
Although the younger sister was good at nothing but destroying things, the older sister was truly a polymath. Fate might had a little to do with the older sister.

アオザキ 【人名】
蒼崎。本編でちらりと出てくる名称で、日本屈指の『霊地』を管理する魔術師の姓氏である。
魔術師たちの世界において厄介ごとの代名詞。
古い家係ではあるが名門ではない。何代か前の当主が開いだ『道』により、蒼崎の当主は高い確率で『魔法使い』を継承する。
今代の後継者は不吉とされる姉妹で、後継者争いの未、妹が『魔法使い』の座を譲り受けた。
姉は口ソドソに渡つてー角の人物になるも、水が合わなくてさつさと脱退レたらしい。
冬木市で五回目の聖杯戦争が起きている頃、姉は行方をくらましている最中で、妹は気ままに全国行脚の真つ最中だとか。
妹は壊すコ卜しか能か無いが、姉の方はなにかと芸達著な人で、「Fate」でもちよつぴりだけ関わりがあつたりなかつたり。

Archer[]

[v] Fate/side material - Encyclopedia: Archer [Servant], p.054 [T]

Archer [Servant]
Heroic Spirit of the bow. The basic abilities of these Servants tended to be low, but they compensated with Skills and Noble Phantasms.
The Archer in this story was no exception, he engaged in combat with unidentified Noble Phantasms.
A thoroughly cynical pragmatist... but even so, he had an oddly childish personality that no one could hate.
His real identity was ???. He was such an important character in the story, you could call him the shadow protagonist. Half of Fate could be called his story.
At the beginning of the game, Archer claimed his memory was confused due to incomplete summon. This was half-truth.
On the night of the summoning, Archer assessed the situation and deduced the current circumstances. He believed that he would have the opportunity to achieve his goal.
At the instant Rin introduced herself, Archer believed the girl who summoned him was "Tohsaka Rin" (not due to his memory being confused, but the name Tohsaka Rin being worn off).
At that moment, Archer recalled like a jolt of lightning:

"-------Rin. Ah, that's the name------"

Archer murmured this under his breath at that time. It was truly from his heart and filled with much endearment close to insanity.
... There were much foreshadowing in the story besides this instance, but they were all limited except for the post-Saber vs. Berserker narration.
Due to the rebound of some magecraft, his skin turned dark... something like that.

アーチャー【サーヴァント】
弓兵の英霊。基本能力は低いが、その分スキルや宝具で補うサーヴァントイプ。
本騙のアーチャーもその例に漏れず、正体不明の宝具を駆使して戦い抜く。
皮肉屋で徹底した現実主義者……なのだが、妙に子供くさいところがあり、憎めない性格をしている。
その正体は■■■。影の主役とも言える重要な役ど ころで、「Fate」の半分はこの男の物語と言える。
ゲーム開始時、不完全な召喚のせいで記憶が曖昧 だった、というのは半分ホン卜で半分ウソ。
召喚された夜、凛が眠った後に現状を把握し、今の 状況を推測、推理し、自分がようやく目的を可能とす る機会を得た、と確信した。
自分を召喚した少女が“遠坂凛”なのだと確信(記憶が曖昧なのではなく、そもそも遠坂凛という名称が磨耗していた)したのは、凛が自己紹介をした瞬間。
その時、雷光の速度でアーチャーは思い出した訳で ある。

「————では凛と。ああ、この響きは————」

あの時のアーチャーの呟きは本心からの、狂おしいまでの親愛がこもった一言だったのだ。
……ちなみに伏線らしきものは多々あるのだが、その中でもギリギリなのがセイパールート・パーサーカー戦後の一文。
ある魔術を使った反動として、肌が黒く変色していた……というのは、まあそういうコトな訳だったり。

Argon Coin[]

Golden Fleece [Noble Phantasm]
Argon Coin.
As the hidden treasure of Colchis, it's very valuable.
Though there's nothing special about the fleece itself, for some reason there's an anecdote that a dragon will appear if you throw it on the ground.
It seems that at some point, people mixed up the Golden Fleece with the dragon that used to guard it.
The story feels a bit like some kind of satire.
Since Caster doesn't have the ability to summon dragons, she can't summon the dragon.
Also, there's a strange spirit living in it, just like a certain Seventh Scripture.

金羊の皮【宝具】
アルゴンコイン。
コルキスの秘宝で、とっても高価。
これ自体にさしたる能力はないのだが、なぜか地に放ると竜が現れるという逸話がある。
かつて金羊の皮を守っていた竜が、今では金羊の皮に呼ばれるものに成り代わってしまったらしい。
何かの风刺っぽい話ではある。
キャスターには竜召喚技能がないので竜は呼べない。
某第七聖典よろしく、へンな精霊が宿っている。

Assassin[]

Assassin [Servant]
Heroic Spirit of assassination.
Different from other Classes, only certain Heroic Spirits qualified for Assassin.
He was the samurai who guarded the mountain gate of Ryuudou Temple.
Sasaki Kojiro was summoned into this class because a certain unorthodox summoner violated the rules.
Strictly speaking, Assassin was a Wraith rather than a Heroic Spirit.
He seemed to be a martial artists who had connections with the Ryuudou Temple in the past.
His true name was unknown. To be more specific, he never had a true name.
Perhaps because he never had the possibility to become a liege, he had no ambitions. He lived only for the wish to stand in the inner sanctum of swordsmanship, and eventually he achieved a Mystery that rivaled the Noble Phantasms of Servants.
In terms of pure swordsmanship, he was the greatest in this Holy Grail War.
Since he was summoned with the mountain gate as the catalyst, he could not leave the gate.
...Huh? Almost like a Jibakurei eh?

アサシン【サーヴアント】
暗殺者の英霊。
他のクラスと違い、ある英霊しか成れない筈のクラス。
柳洞寺に至る山門を守る侍。
佐々木小次郎がこのクラスになったのは、偏に召喚者がルール違反の者だった為。
厳密には英霊ではなく亡霊。
过去、柳洞寺に縁のあった武芸者と思われる。
本名は不明。というより、本名などない。
もとより仕官の可能性がなかった為か我欲がなく ただ剣の境地に立つという願いだけを粮とし、その果てにサーヴァントの宝具が備える神秘と互角の剣技を得るに至った。
純粋な剣技のみで言えば、今回の聖杯戦争中最高のサーヴァントである。
柳洞寺を触媒にして召喚されたので、あの山門から离れる事は出来ない。
……む?なんか地縛霊っぽい?

Avalon[]

The Everdistant Utopia [Noble Phantasm]
Avalon.
The paradise in the Arthurian legends; a scabbard bearing the name of the Faerie Land.
The utopia Avalon was thought to be derived from the island that produced the "Apple of Immortality" in Greek mythology.
Avalon mended all wounds and halted the wielder's aging process. After unleashing its true name, Avalon would break into hundreds of shards and shield the wielder from all interference.
The sheath of the holy sword was excavated by the Einzberns from Cornwall. It was given to Kiritsugu as a catalyst to summon King Arthur.
It was a Noble Phantasm reaching the realm of True Magic. Avalon shut out all physical interference, operation of parallel worlds, and multi-dimensional communication (up to the sixth dimension).
If Saber went hikikomori, no one would reach her.

全て遠き理想郷【宝具】
アヴアロン。
アーサー王伝説における常春の土地、妖精郷の名を冠した鞘。
アヴアロンはギリシャ神話において、“不死の林檎” があるとされる島から連想されたという理想郷。
持ち主の傷を癒し老化を停滯させるだけでなく、真名を以って開放すれば数百のパーツに分解し、所有者をあらゆる干渉から守りきる。
聖剣の鞘はアインツベルンがコーンウォールより発掘し、アーサー王召喚の触媒として切嗣に与えたもの。
魔法の域にある宝具で、あらゆる物理干渉、並行世界からのトランスライナー、多次元からの交信(六次元まで)をシャットアウトする。
セイバーがこれで引き篭もったら手におえない。

Ayako Mitsuduri[]

Ayako Mitsuduri [Person's name]
A female student in Class 2-A.
She is the captain of the archery club, and friends with both Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin.
Well, Rin is her friend, while she treats Shirou more like a rival. The three of them haven't noticed what a delicate relationship they have with each other.
Her big-sisterly disposition exceeds even Rin's, and she's considered one of the top three students at Homurahara Academy to avoid picking a fight with.
People tend to think that she's mannish, but privately she's actually pretty girly.
Of course, this clashes with her image so she doesn't go around advertising it, but she doesn't really think it's a big deal herself.
Even though her room at home looks more like it belongs to a little girl than a teenager, she has no qualms about inviting Rin over to hang out. After all, it's not that she has no interest in romance, it's just that she has a thing for older men. Could it be? She and Rin are united by their father complex!?
Though it may seem odd that a supporting character has such spirited looks, it's only natural given that originally her design was conceived of for Rider.
During the preliminary stages of development, the scenario director was obsessed with a movie called "Vi(…)ck", and kept on insisting that Rider should be more like a certain black-caped character.
Mitsuzuri's design was an attempt to meet his demands that unfortunately ended up being rejected.
Still, it seemed like a waste to just throw out such good work, so it was ultimately resurrected and recycled into Mitsuzuri Ayako. Thank goodness, yeah?
Saying she resembles Ryougi Shiki is strictly prohibited.
By the way, after the Rin route she's still as energetic as ever. And in case you were wondering, yes, the person who attacked her was Rider. She chased her down into a back alley and SLUUURP, sucked her blood on the spot! I sure hope she didn't pick up any weird habits from that, nyahaha.

美綴綾子【人名】
2年A組の女生徒。
弓道部の主将で、遠坂凛、衛宮土郎の悪友である。
凛とは悪友で、士郎をライバル扱いしている。美綴も凛も士郎も、三人が三人とも微妙に関係がある事に 気付いていない。
凛以上の姐御肌で、穂群原学園ではケンカを売ってはいけない生徒のトップ3に入っている。
男勝りの性格だと思われがちだが、私生活はわりと女の子女の子している。
あまりにもイメージが違うので隠していそうなのだ が、本人は別に気にしていないようだ。
部屋も女の子らしい少女趣味で、凛あたりを平気で招いたりする。恋愛に興味がないのではなく、単に年 上好みなだけらしい。凛ともどもフアザコンか、貴様ら。
脇を固める役どころにしては気合の入ったルックスだが、さもありなん、もともと美綴のデザインはライダー用に起こされたもの。
「Fate」準備段階の頃、ヴィ〇ックという映画にはまったシナリオ担当が「ライダーはあの黒マントつ ぼくしたい」と直訴。
その一案として美綴さんのデザインが上がったが、 あまりにもメドゥーサのイメージすぎるので却下。それでも怪獣墓場に送るのが悔やまれるので、美綴綾子として復活した次第です。良かった良かった。
両儀式に似ているとか言うのは禁止。
余談ではあるが、凜ルート後のみっちゃんは相変わらず元気です。ちなみに襲った相手はライダlで、路地裏に追い詰められてからちゆるちゆる血を吸われたものと思われる。
へンなクセついでなければいいけどにやー。

Baptismal Chant[]

Baptismal Chant [Magecraft]
The only miracle allowed to be practiced by the Holy Church.
It was a simple ritual that sublimed lost souls through the Lord's teaching, and returned them to the appropriate "Throne".
The Foundations of each mage school's arcane principles were carved onto the World. Spells were activated by taking control of the Rules and System (through the Foundation).
Spells with a feeble belief system and small Foundation were often weak, and could not function in foreign lands.
Amongst faith-based spells, the one with the broadest Foundation was the Church's teaching of God, i.e. Words of God.
Its ability to interfere with physical objects was weak, but its ability to interfere with spiritual entities was great.
The teachings of the Church were widespread, because this miracle that "speaks to the soul" had mended the hearts of many.

洗礼詠唱【魔術】
聖堂教会において、唯一習得を許される奇蹟。
主の教えにより迷える魂を昇華し、還るべき『座』に送る簡易儀式である。
各魔術流派は、それぞれの魔術理論の基盤を世界に刻みつけ、そのルールとシステムに乗っ取って魔術を起動させる。
信仰·基盤の小さな一派の魔術は弱く、他国においてまっとうに機能しないのはザラだ。
その中において、最も広い“基盤”を持つ魔術理論が教会による神の教え、聖言である。
物理的な干渉力は微弱だが、霊体に対する干渉力は 絶大なものがある。
彼らの教えがここまで広く浸透したのも、この“魂に訴える”奇蹟が、多くの人間の心を癒すからだろう。

Bazett Fraga McRemitz[]

Bazett Fraga McRemitz [Person's name]
Lancer's original Master.
Fate unknown.
She was a foreign magus dispatched by the Association, and summoned Lancer using a pair of rune stone earrings as the catalyst.
A beautiful woman dressed as a man, her abilities as a magus are top-notch.
She is an enforcer, tasked with the capture of sealing designated magi. Essentially, an existence similar to the executors of the Holy Church. She is extremely skilled in both sorcery and martial arts.
Though she probably would have ended up being a threat to Rin if she had been able to participate in the war, she was taken out prematurely by a surprise attack from Kotomine.
The reason for that is because she and Kotomine were actually old friends. Back when Kotomine was still an executor working for the Church, they often ran into each other on assignments and fought together as comrades.
So, when Kotomine, who until then had never relied on her even once, said he wanted to meet with her, Miss Bazett was secretly elated. With no reason to doubt him, she walked right into his trap.
She didn't even have time to call out Lancer, before Kotomine cleanly sliced off her left arm from behind and stole her command spells.
Afterward, he gave Lancer two commands.
The first was to make him accept Kotomine as his Master, while the second was to make him gather intelligence.
As for what the final command spell was used for, that's covered in the story itself.

パゼット・フラガ・マクレミッツ【人名】
ランサーの元マスター。
生死不明。
魔術協会から派遣された外来の魔術師で、ルーン石のピアスを触媒にしてランサーを召喚した。
男装の麗人で、魔術師としての腕前はA+。
封印指定を受けた魔術師を捕縛するパリッバリの武闘派。教会でいうなら代行者のようなもので、魔術·格闘ともに優れた技量を持っていた。
そのまま参戦していたら凛を脅かす存在となっただろうが、言峰の騙まし討ちによって退場してしまった。
それというのも、パゼットと言峰は旧知の間柄。言峰がまだ教会の代行者だった頃、衝突したり協力しあったりした戦友だった。
協会から派遣された彼女に、言峰は「相談したい事 がある」と持ちかけた。
今まで一度たりとも言峰から頼りにされなかったパゼット嬢は喜びを隠しながら言峰を信用し、騙まし討 ちにあったワケである。
パゼットがランサーを出す暇も与えず、後ろからバッサリとパゼットを斬り伏せ、左腕を切断、令呪を奪い 取った。
ランサーにかけられた令呪は二つ。
主変えに賛同しろ、という事と、諜報活動に徹しろ、というもの。
最後の一つがどのように使われるかは、本騙参照のコト。

Bellerophon[]

Bridle of Chivalry [Noble Phantasm]
Bellerophon.
An atypical Noble Phantasm. A weapon set consisted of a rein and a whip. Of course, it had no power by itself.
As a Noble Phantasm, it had A+ rank, with abnormally high attack as well as defensive powers.
A Pegasus under the control of Bellerophon would exceed its limits and receive a rank-up in all of its attributes. Furthermore, due to the protection of an immense amount of mana from Bellerophon, the defensive power of the Pegasus would multiply several times.
If Saber's Excalibur was a golden beam, then Rider was the white comet.
Mmm, as an aside, the name of the young man who rode the Pegasus in Greek legend was Bellerophon.

騎英の手綱 【宝具】
ベルレフォーン。
宝具の中でも変り種で、手綱と鞭のセット武装。 無論、単体では効果はない。
ランクA+の宝具で、攻守ともに破格の能力を持つ。
ベルレフォーンで操られた天馬はリミッターをカットされ、全ての能力値を1ランクアップし,膨大な魔 力の守りにより防御力を数倍に向上させる。
セイバーのエクスカリバーが黄金のフレアなら、ライダーは白い彗星と言えるだろう。
あ。余談ですが、ギリシャ神話でベカサスを乗りこなした青年の名は、正しくはペルレフォンでーす。

Berserker[]

Berserker [Servant]
The mad warrior Heroic Spirit.
Regardless of basic abilities, Berserkers are a type of Servant that specialise in destruction through “going berserk”.
The Berserker in this story was an exceptional Heroic Spirit, but due to his “Mad Enhancement”, he became an untouchable monster.
In the case of a normal Master, Berserker can cancel the control of Command Spells. However, Illyasviel, who was acting as the Holy Grail, was able to control Berserker due to her Command Spells being special.
His true identity is the great Grecian hero Hercules.
For Hercules, who had gone berserk numerous times in legend, the Berserker Class probably feels quite familiar.
Of course, Hercules is exceptional in body, mind, and skills. Since Hercules had mastered every weapon, he can even qualify for the Sabre Class without difficulty.
If Hercules had been summoned in the Saber Class, he would be able to fully display his phenomenal sword play.
Hercules was the earliest Servant to be summoned. He was summoned more than one, no, more than two months prior to the Holy Grail War.
Berserker cannot act independently as his emotions have been sealed.
However, no matter how strong the bondage of Command Spells, Berserker never lost the sense at the core of his being.
After being Blackened in the Sakura Route, Berserker was able to halt the last strike of his Axe Sword before he died. He was able to do so due to the strength of his heart; a heart which suffered the pain of berserking since his early days as a hero.
In the story of Fate, Berserker is the most manly character.

パーサーカー【サーヴァント】
狂戦士の英霊。
基本能力は問わず、ただ“狂う”事で破壊のみを特化したサーヴァントタイプ。
本編のパーサーカーはたたでさえ優れた英霊だというのに、その“狂化"の為手のつけられない怪物と化してい る。
通常のマスターなら令呪そのものをキャンセルされかねないパーサーヵーだが、聖杯たるイリヤスフィールの令 呪も特別なので製御を可能としている。
正体はギリシャの大英雄ヘラクレス。
神話において幾度となく発狂するへラクレスにとって、パーサーカーというクラスは馴染み易いものだったのだ ろう。
尤も、心技体全てに優れ、あらゆる武具を使いこなすへラクレスならセイパーのクラスも難なく該 当する。
セイバーになっていたのであれば、その卓絶した剣 技を存分に披露していただろう。
聖杯戦争ではもっとも早く、一ヶ月......否、二ヶ月 前から召喚された。
感情が封印されている為、自ら行動する事はない。
が、どれほど令呪の縛りが強力でも、その芯にある理性は失われていない。
桜ルー卜で黒化した後、最後の最期で斧剣を止めたのも、英雄時代から“狂化"に苦しんできた彼の心の強さ故 だろう。
「Fate」本編中、もっとも漢度が高い方。

Blackening[]

Blackening [Others]
The transformation caused by the pollution of an unidentified curse.
In the blackening of Servants, the Alignment and personality of a Servant would change as well.
Blackening would definitively incarnate Servants and cause them to become more powerful.
These Servants were like Frankensteinian monsters created by evil organizations. Most of them underwent significant changes in design and appeared as almost new characters.

黒化【その他】
正体不明の呪いに汚染され、変貌してしまう事。
おもにサーヴァントが黒化し、汚染されたサーヴァントは属性の性格が反転する。
確かな使い魔として肉体を与えられる為、より強力なサーヴァントとなる。

Unidentified object.
It gave the impression of a jellyfish on land. The Black Shadow was impervious to conventional attacks, and the target could only await death in its presence.
We ran out of ideas after Saber and Rin routes, so the Black Shadow was a surprise antagonist after much pondering.
It was a favorite of the Chief Director. In terms of how much love the Black Shadow got, its event CG and wallpapers were crafted with much care and effort.

黒い影【??】
正体不明の存在。
陸にあがったクラゲのような印象で、通常攻撃は一切通用せず、出会ってしまったが最後殺されるか、影がかつてに消えてくれるのを待つしかない。
セイバールート、凛ルートときて、いい加减もうネタがつきただろう、と思った頃に現れるピックリドツキリエネミー。
演出担当さんのお気に入り。 どのくらい血縁度が低 いかと言うと、黒い影登場時のイベント画をかっこよく加工して壁纸にしているぐらいのラブ。

Blood Fort Andromeda[]

Blood Fort Andromeda.
A boundary field of blood. Any humans captured within it will be dissolved.
The dissolved humans are reduced to red blood, which is consumed by the boundary field's user. Its primary purpose is the absorption of magical energy.
It was used once in every route, and by the end of the game was like an old familiar friend.
Since the boundary field is in the shape of a dome, the school building looked as if it was captured within an enormous eyeball.
Naturally, from outside the boundary field the red sky and dome cannot be seen at all. It's just like Rin said: any boundary field that reveals its strangeness to the outside world is third-rate at best.
Also, because the Bloodfort seriously damages the leylines where it is used, it cannot be used on the same land twice in succession.

他者封印・鮮血神殿【宝具、魔術】
ブラッドフォート・アンドロメダ。
血の結界。内部に取り込んだ人間を溶解する。
溶解された人間は赤い血液となり、結界使用者に吸収される。本来の用途は魔力吸収である。
各ルートで一度は使用される、お馴染みライダーの 広域結界。
結界はドーム状のもので、校舎は巨大な眼球の中に取り込まれたように見える。
結界の外から見た場合、赤い空もドームも当然見えない。凛も言っていたが、外部に異常を報せる結界は三流なのである。
土地の霊脉を著しく傷つける為、同じ土地での連続使用はできない。

Breaker Gorgon[]

Breaker Gorgon.
A Mystic Eye Killer applied to oneself.
It was the blindfold of Rider's, which sealed the excessively powerful Mystic Eyes into a boundary field (another World).
Shirou's erotic dream in Sakura route was a result of being drawn into this Temple of Darkness. In this World, Shirou had an erotic encounter with Rider in disguise, and had some of his blood and semen drained.
Anyways, the blindfold had meaningful purposes.
"Hmmm, was the blindfold just for style and fun points?"

自己封印・暗黒神殿【宝具】
ブレーカー・ゴルゴーン。
自身にかける魔眼殺し。
ライダーの目隠しのコトで、強力すぎる魔眼に、一つの結界(世界)をぶつけて封印している。
桜ルートでの士郎の淫夢は、この暗黒神殿に取り込まれた中での話だったり。あの世界の中で士郎は淫夢を装った吸血・吸精行為をされたのである。
ともあれ、あの目隠しには意味があるってコト。
「フ、伊達や酔狂でこんな目隠しをしていると思ったか?」

Caster[]

Caster [Servant]
Magus Heroic Spirit. A class specialized in magecraft, thought to be the weakest amongst all Servants.
Her Master was Kuzuki Souichirou. Her real identity was Medea, the witch of betrayal from Grecian legends.
Caster was quickly disposed of in Saber route, but she was quite the active villainess in Rin's route.
She was originally an innocent person, but after suffering from repeated betrayal, she thought "Hmmm, fine, I might as well sink to rock bottom". Because of this, she was tainted by evil.
To tell the truth, Caster really did possess qualities to become a villainess, but fundamentally she was just a young girl in love.
Mmm, I thought Caster's embarrassed look would be pretty cute, after Shirou tattled on her "Mr. Kuzuki, Caster has been a bad bad girl".
Under that robe hid one of the most beautiful women in Fate.
Caster would do absolutely anything to the target of her affection, but up until now, all of her targets of affection abandoned her after getting their use out of her. Because of this, she kept people at a distance.
Ah, it was such a pity that there was no Caster route. It would be pretty interesting, with Caster seducing Rider then setting up a trap to stab her in the back.
On an unrelated note, Caster was a magus on the tier of True Magicians.
However, since Caster did not learn Magic, she was still a magus.

キャスター【サーヴアント】
魔術師の英霊。 魔力に特化したクラスで、サーヴァント中最弱と言われている。
マスターは葛木宗一郎。 正体はギリシャ神話において裏切りの魔女とされるメディアである。
セイバールートではやられ役、凛ルートではバリパリの悪女として活跃する。
根は清純な人だったのだが、度重なる裏切りによって「ふーんだ、いいわよーだ、とうなったらとことん まで落ちてやるー!」と悪に染まってしまった。 一途だね。
もともと悪女としての素質はあったのだが、なんだ かんだと根は恋する乙女,たったりするキャスターさん。
「葛木先生、キャスターは悪い子です」と士郎に告げ口された途端、オロオロする様はとても可愛らしいと 思います、はい。
ローブの下は本騙でも一、二を争うほどの美人さん。
惚れた相手にやトコトン尽くすのだが、今まで惚れ た相手はみんな甘えると逃げていったトラウマのため、 常に一歩引いた態度を贯くみたいです。
あー、おしいなー。キャスタールートとかあったら 楽しそうだなあ、くそう!そしてライダーに浮気して後ろから刺されるワナ。
余談ではあるが、魔術師としてのキャスターの能力 は魔法使いレベル。
が.残念ながらキャスター自身が“魔法”を習得していないので魔術師どまりなのだった。

Yeah! Here it is, what you've all been waiting for! The heart and soul of romance games!
A heroine without one of these can't really even be called a heroine at all, and any main heroine worth her salt should have at least one or two.
Because of that, both Saber and Rin have date scenes.
One date where Shirou does the dragging, and one date where he's the one being dragged. I think it demonstrates the positions of both heroines quite nicely, yes.
…But wait, now that I think about it, isn't there another main heroine who didn't get a date scene at all…?

このイベントがないヒロインはヒロインとは呼べぬ、デートの一つや二つなくして何が正ヒロインかっ!

Going by sprites it seems that there are three types, and they're all lovely.
A nostalgic existence for those experienced with tabletop role-playing games.
They're actually very strong, and if a group of level five adventurers picks a fight with them they're in for a rude awakening.

竜牙兵【魔術】
竜の歯から作られた使い魔。
大地に歯を蒔き、竜種の魔力と大地からの知識を得て使い捨ての雑兵となる。
立ち絵では三タイプおり、みんなラブリー。
TRPG経験者には懐かしい存在。
ホントは淒く強く、レベル5程度の冒险者じゃ返り討ちだ。

A magical artifact passed down by the Einzberns.
As the heart that governs the Great Holy Grail, it is imbued with sorcery that can materialize the soul for just a few seconds.
Though the dress is pure white, it is actually made of gold. It is inlaid with seven "rings" said to control creation, and the souls of others.
The seven holes in the dress are the seven transformed rings, and they are designed to light up one by one every time a Servant's soul is harvested.
Since any human who touches the dress will be turned to gold, its management must be handled by elementals, demi-humans, or homunculi.

天のドレス【武装】
アインツベルンに伝わる魔術兵装。
大聖杯を製御する心臓にして、魂を数秒だけ物質化させる魔術を帯びている。
純白のドレスだが、材質は黄金。万物・他人の魂を支配するといわれる“指輪"を七つはめ込んでいる。
七つの孔は指輪が変形したもので、サーヴァントの 魂が収納される度に一つずつ光を帯びていく仕掛け。
人間が触ると黄金になってしまう為、運営は精霊や小人、ホムンクルスでなければならない。

Enkidu[]

Chain of Heavens [Armament]
A Noble Phantasm that Gilgamesh preferred. Its true name is Enkidu.
This was the chain that bound the Bull of Heaven that caused Uruk seven years of famine. To Gilgamesh, it was a Noble Phantasm that he trusted like Ea, no, it was a Noble Phantasm that he trusted more than Ea.
Its ability is "to rule the Gods".
Its toughness increased with the target's Divinity.
It was one of the few Noble Phantasms that could be classified as Anti-God.
As a result, Chains of Heavens was actually a more troublesome Noble Phantasm for Berserker than Excalibur.
On the other hand, for Saber, Assassin, and Archer, who had no Divinity, it was merely a strong chain.

天の鎖 【武装】
ギルガメッシュが好んで使用する宝具。 真名はエルキドゥ。
かつてウルクを七年間飢健に陥れた“天の牡牛"を捕縛した鎖で、ギルガメッシュがエアと同様、否、それ以上に信頼する宝具である。
その能力は神を律する"もの。
捕縛した対象の神性が高ければ高いほど硬度を増す
宝具で、数少ない対神兵装と言える。
故に、パーサーカー(へラクレス)にとって天の鎖はエクスカリバー以上に厄介な宝具となった。
逆に神性のないセイパーやアサシン、アーチャーに はただ頑丈なだけの鎖にすぎない。

Enuma Elish[]

Enuma Elish.
The cutting of space with the Sword of Rupture, Ea.
Air pressure faults, compressed and smashed against each other, become a pseudo-fault in time and space that pulverizes all who oppose it.
With output matching or even exceeding Excalibur, it is without a doubt the sword that "cut the world".
Strictly speaking, the Noble Phantasm is actually Ea, while Enuma Elish is the name of Ea's maximum output state.
…By the way, the sword's drill shape is modeled after the bedrock excavators used when making underwater tunnels.
Though normally you'd think of a drill as something that tapers down to a point like a spear, the drills used to bore out enormous holes actually look more like numerous overlapping gears.
The way the blades rotate individually and shave away at the bedrock… just imagining it is so cool!

天地乖離す開闢の星【宝具】
エヌマ・エリシュ。
乖離剣・エアによる空間切断。
圧縮され閲ぎ合う風圧の断層は、擬似的な時空断層となって敵対する全てを粉砕する。
セイバーのエクスカリバーと同等か、それ以上の出力を持つ“世界を切り裂いた”剣である。
厳密に言うと、エヌマ・エリシュはエアの最大出力時の名称で、宝具なのはエアの方。
余談ではあるが、このドリル状の剣は海底トンネル作成時に使用される岩盤削岩機をモデルにしている。
ドリルといったら槍のようにとんがったものを連想するが、巨大な穴を作るドリルは円盤(ギア)が複数 重なったような形状をしている。
三枚の刃が個別に回転し、岩盤を削っていく様は想像するだけでカッコイイ。

Excalibur[]

Excalibur.
Sword of light. It is not a man-made weapon, but rather a divine construct tempered by the planet. It is the Noble Phantasm standing at the very pinnacle of holy swords.
The strongest illusion (Last Phantasm), crystallized and refined from the wishes of humanity stored in the planet.
Though it was entrusted to elementals, who act as the planet's sense of touch, it temporarily passed into the hands of a human king for a time.
Because it is so recognizable as the symbol of King Arthur, Saber had no choice but to keep it hidden while she fought.
But despite the fact that it's a Noble Phantasm that's almost synonymous with Saber herself, the number of times she actually uses it can be counted on two hands.
That is, three times in the Saber route, once in the Rin route, and twice in the Sakura route.
Because it is too powerful, it cannot be used carelessly at ground level.
Whether it be dark or light, it could be argued that Excalibur's clash with Rider's Bellerophon is Fate/stay night's grandest splendor.

約束された勝利の剣【宝具】
エクスカリバー。
光の剣。人造による武器ではなく、星に鍛えられた神造兵装。聖剣というカテゴリーの中では頂点に立つ宝具である。
人々の“こうであってほしい”という想念が地上に蓄えられ、星の内部で結晶・精製された“最強の幻想(ラスト·ファンタズム)”。
星の触覚たる精霊に管理されていたが、一時的に人の王の手に渡る。
アーサー王のシンボルとしてあまりにも有名な為、 セイパーはこれを隠して戦わざるをえなかった。
セイバーの代名詞とも言える宝具だが、その使用回数は数えるほど。
セイバールートでは三回、凛ルートで一回、桜ルートで二回のみ。
強力すぎる宝具な為、下手に地上では使えない。
ライダーのベルレフォーンとの激突は、白黒ともに「Fate」最大の華と言えよう。

Executors[]

Inquisitors of the Holy Church. Those who eliminate heresies that do not exist in the Church's doctrine.
What makes them different from exorcists is that they do not exorcize demons, but eliminate them.

エクスキューター。
聖堂教会における異端審問員で、教義に存在しない 異端を排除するモノたち。
悪魔払いではなく悪魔退治であるところがエクソシストとは異なる点。

Fujimura Group[]

Fujimura Group [Organization name]
Fuji-nee's family home.
Illya is freeloading off of them during the epilogue of the Saber route.
Fuji-nee's grandfather, Raiga, is their boss, and her father (who was adopted into the family as a son-in-law) is a reliable, taciturn giant of a man.
Perhaps it was these people and their anything-goes attitude that caused Fuji-nee to turn out the way she did?
Shirou often helps out Old Man Raiga with his hobbies, and gets a fair amount of spending money in return.

藤村組【組織名】
藤ねえの実家。
セイパールートのエピローグではイリヤが居候するところ 。
藤ねえのお爺ちゃんである雷画がいまだ親分さん。
婿養子の藤ねえのお父さんは、これまた頼りがいのある無口な巨漢さん。
ここの人たちの放任主義が、あのような問題児を育んでしまったのか。
士郎は雷画爺さんの趣味に付き合って、よくお小遣いを貰う。

Gae Bolg[]

Barbed Spear that Pierces with Death [Noble Phantasm]
Gae Bolg.
The cursed spear that always pierced the opponent's heart after being thrust.
Reverse causality --- a technique which broke the rules by launching the spear after it was already established that the heart was pierced.
Since the target was already hit by the spear, the opponent would always be hit regardless what kind of evasive maneuvers he took.
In order to evade Gae Bolg, one would require Noble Phantasms that automatically resurrected the target after death like that of Berserker's, or a high degree of Luck sufficient to negate the curse of the spear.
To put it into game terms, it would be an insane Noble Phantasm with a base damage plus an additional component that scaled with the target's HP.
For example, if Saber's HP was 100, then Gae Bolg's damage would be (Spear Damage + 100). She would absolutely be dead if it hit.
It was also an efficient Noble Phantasm with mana consumption only in the double digits.
Anti-Unit Noble Phantasms probably did not get anymore economical than this.
By the way, Piercing Death Thorn was a technique Lancer developed himself.
Originally Gae Bolg was a thrown Noble Phantasm. It was an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm rather than Anti-Unit.

刺し穿つ死棘の槍【宝具】
ゲイ・ポルク。
突けば必ず相手の心臓を貫く呪いの槍。
因果を逆転させ、既に心臓に命中している.という 事実を作った後で槍を放つ反則技。
もう槍は当たっているのだから、相手がどんな回避行動をしようと結局は当たるのである。
ゲイ・ボルクから逃れる為には、パーサーヵーのように一度死亡してから自動的に蘇る宝具か、槍の呪いを援ね退けられる高い幸運(LCK)が必要となる。
ゲーム的に言うなら、ダメージ補正が、狙った相手のHP分プラスされる、というトンデモ宝具。
仮にセイパーのHPが100だとしたら、ゲイ・ボルクのダメージは(槍のダメージ)+(100)になるのである1そりゃ絶対死ぬわ。
このお手軽さで消費魔力は二桁程度。
対人においてこれほど無駄のない武装はあるまい。
余談ではあるが、このゲイ・ボルクはランサーが自己涜にアレンジしたもの。
本来のゲイ・ポルクは投郷宝具で、対人ではなく対軍宝具である。

Gandr[]

Gandr [Magecraft]
A curse with Scandinavian origins.
The caster delivered the curse by pointing an index finger at the target and damaging his constitution.
Since Gandr targeted victims in the caster's field of vision, it was also called Gandr Shot.
Gandr was the origin of the perception that pointing at people was impolite or a form of cursing.
Since Rin's Gandr Shot was particularly violent, it could be considered on the level of Finn Shot.
Or, Finn Gatling Gun.

ガンド 【魔術】
北欧に伝わる呪い。
呪いたい相手を人差し指で指す事により、体調を崩れさせるというもの。
対象を視界に納めて狙うため、ガンド撃ち.とも呼ばれる。
人を指差すのは失礼だ、というのはこの呪いに由来する。とか。
強力なものを“フィンの一撃"と呼び、こちらは直接的なダメージを与える。
凛のガンドはもはや暴力なので、フィンの一撃レベ ルのもの。つーかフィンのガトリング。

Gate of Babylon[]

Gate of Babylon.
The key-shaped sword that connected to the golden capital.
Items in the treasury can be freely remove through the spatial link.
Needless to say, the more material wealth the user had, the more powerful this Noble Phantasm became.
The rationale for the English name was that "Babylon" had become synonymous with "capital of sin" and "the golden capital".
Similar items included Road of Babylon.

王の財宝【宝具】
ゲート・オブ・バビロン
黄金の都へ繋がる键状の剣。
空間を繋げ、宝物库の中にある道具を自由に取り出 せるようになる。
使用者の财があればあるほど強力な宝具となるのは言うまでもない。
なぜこれだけ英語名なのかっつーと、もうパビロンっていったら悪の都で黄金の都の代名詞だからである。
類似品でロード·オブ·バビロンとかありそうだ。

Gilgamesh[]

Gilgamesh [Servant]
The Archer of the previous Grail War. Mankind's oldest king of heroes, who defeated Saber. For more details, refer to his status screen in the game.
As no proper Heroic Spirit can match this man, he could be called the "Servant Killer".
Without a doubt, he is the strongest existence amongst the Servants.
Though he lost due to obsession against Saber…
Though he lost due to pride against Shirou…
Though he lost due to carelessness against XXXXX…
…the fact of the matter is that if he actually gets serious, he is a Servant that cannot be rivaled.
Perhaps because he has been living in human society for the past ten years, he seems to be hip on the latest fashions. He owns various casual clothes, but his favorite is the biker outfit he wore in the Rin route.
Well, he liked it enough to overlook Shirou's group and leave instead of letting it get dirty, at any rate. I can't believe the protagonist's life was worth less to Gil than his coat…!
It might seem strange how Gil could live in human society for ten years with a personality like his and not cause a fuss, but Gil must have realized it would have been a problem, too, because apparently he drank a certain Noble Phantasm to change his appearance and personality.
Also, during the design stage, I selfishly insisted that "Gil absolutely has to wear full golden plate armor".
Why, you ask? Well, it might be because I was repeatedly challenging a certain 60 story tower at the time…

ギルガメッシュ【サーヴァント】
前回のアーチャー、セイパーを破った人類最古の英雄王。 详细はゲーム本騙のステータスを参照のコト。
サーヴァントキラーとも言える存在で、まっとうな英霊はこの男には敵わない。
サーヴァント中では間違いなく最強の存在。
セイバー戦では執着から、土郎戦では慢心から、戦では油断から敗退したが、本気になって戦って いれば敵なしのサーヴァントである。
十年間人間社会で生活していた為か、なぜかオシャレ。
いろんな普段着を持ち、お気に入りは凛ルー卜で着ているあのライダースーツ。
なにしろ「煤で汚れるから」と士郎たちを見逃すほど。
衝撃、主人公の命の価値はギル様の上着以下だったのだー!
あんな性格でよく今までトラブル起こさなかったなあ、と不思議に思われるでしょうが、
ギルもそのあたりは分かっているのか、ある宝具を饮んで姿と性格を変えていたらしい。
また、デザイン時に「ギルは是非黄金のフルプレートで」とワガママを言いました。
理由は、まあ、六十階建ての壊に何度も挑んだ世代だからではないでしょーかー

God Hand[]

God Hand.
Immortality obtained from a blessing (curse) of the gods.
The body is transformed into strong armor, and all attacks of rank B and below are nullified.
Additionally, there is the extra effect where revival (Raise) is automatically cast upon death.
There is a stock of eleven revivals.
...by the way, could it be that God Hand is the reason Berserker's body turned leaden and his elbows transformed!?
Well, putting it in terms of a fighting game, it's a ridiculous Noble Phantasm that applies Super Armor + No Damage to every attack outside of Super Combos. Such was its greatest strength.

十二の试练【宝具、呪い】
ゴッドハンド。
神の祝福(呪い)によって得た不死性。
自身の肉体を屈強な铠と化し、ランクB以下の攻撃を全て無効化 する。
加えて、死亡しても自動的に蘇生(レイズ)がかかるオマケっき。
蘇生のストック数は十一回。
……となると、パーサーカーの体が铅色だったり肘とか変形していたりするのはゴットハンドのせいなのかしら!?
まー、格闘ゲームでいうならスーパーコンボ以外の攻撃はぜんぶスーパーアIマー+ノーダメージつつー デタラメ宝具。そりゃ最強だわ。

Gil was called "golden" not only because of his armour when he was fully armed, but also the fact that his soul glowed golden.

Gradation Air[]

Gradation Air.
A sorcery that uses magical energy to materialize a mirror image of an object.
As Rin mentioned in the story, it's not very efficient.
That's because, if you're making a replica of something, rather than using projection it's easier and more practical just to gather the materials and build it yourself.
Normally, it is only used to project a substitute for an item that has already been lost, and for just a few minutes within one's own time axis.
At any rate, since Gradation Air is just supposed to be a short-term rental of the item's outward appearance, you can see why the version used by Shirou and Archer is completely ridiculous. It's no wonder that Rin wanted to kill him when she saw his shed.
Of course, Shirou can only project things that are related to weapons in some way – or more specifically, swords. Modern weapons are off limits.
Well, technically he can pull out shields or armor, too, if he strains himself to his utmost limits, but the effects only last for an instant and the cost is enormous.

投影【魔術】
グラーシヨン・エア。
オリジナルの鏡像を魔力で物質化する魔術。
本編で凜が語っていたように、まつこと効率が悪い。
投影でオリジナルからレプリカを作るのなら、ちゃんとした材料からレプリカを作った方が手軽で実用に耐える為だ。
本来、投影は既に失われたオリジナルを、本当に数 分間だけ自分の時間軸に映し出して代用する魔術。
わずか数分間の、外見だけのレンタルな訳であるから、士郎・アーチャーの投影がどれだけデタラメかは 言うまでもない。凜が士郎の土蔵を覗き見て殺意を覚えたのも当然。
もっとも、士郎が投影できるのは武器関係のみ。それも剣に限定された武装で、近代兵器は投影さえ出来なし。
盾や鎧はかろうじて引き出せるが、効果は瞬間的なものであり、その代償は大きい。

Heroic Spirits[]

Heroic Spirits [Circumstances]
The Heroes who achieved great deeds and were worshiped after death became Heroic Spirits.
They were the greatest existences amongst the forces that safeguarded humanity. In terms of classification, they were not Wrath, but closer to Faeries.
Faeries were materialized forces using the imagination of humans as framework, while Heroic Spirits were woven purely from the ideals of humans through and through.
Amongst Heroic Spirits, there were ones who existed in legends, ones who actually lived, and ones who were never observed. Those who were rarely worshiped were included in the classification of "Counter Guardians", and were utilized as an unconscious Counter Force.
In the Heroic Spirits in this story, only Archer functioned as a Counter Guardian.
Other Heroic Spirits were aligned with the planet rather than humanity, due to their high divinity. Counter Guardians were not within this category.

英霊【事柄】
生前偉大な功績をあげ、死後においてなお信仰の対象となった英雄がなるモノ。
“人間を守る”力としては最高位の存在であり、その分類は亡霊ではなく精霊に近い。
精霊は人々のイメージという筐を使って具現化する“力"であるが、英霊はその中身も人々の理想で編まれている。
英霊には、伝説上のもの、実在したもの、観測され なかったものがおり、信仰が薄いものは“守護者”という大きな分類に含まれ、意思のない“抑止力"として行 使される。
本編に登場する英霊の中で“守護者"として機能している者はアーチャーのみ。
他の英霊たちは神性が高かったり、人間側ではなく星よりの存在になっている為、守護者に取り込まれずに済んでいる。

The chalice that received the blood of God.
It was a holy relic of the highest grade, a wish-granting machine that fulfilled the desires of the wielder.
Its origin could be traced back to many legends, and was frequently said to be "a great wish-granting cauldron".
The Holy Grail in Fate/Stay Night was not the original, but a replica that carried the function of a "wish-granting machine".
After Heroic Spirits were defeated in the physical world, they reverted to their original forms as "terminals of power" and vanished from this time axis.
The Einzbern Holy Grail was something that entrapped the Heroic Spirits and held them temporarily.
The ritual that opened the "hole" would then begin. This was not carried out by the Holy Grail, but the Greater Holy Grail.

聖杯【その他】
神の血を受けた杯。
最高位の聖遺物であり、持ち主の願いを葉える願望機。
その起源は多くの神話で顔を見せる、“願いを葉える大釜”と言われている。
「Fate」で登場する聖杯はオリジナルではなく、“願望機”として機能するように作られたレプリカである。
英霊は地上で破れた後、元の形である「力の一端」に戻り、時間軸から消え去る。
それを押し留め、一時的に蓄えるものがアインツベルンの聖杯である。
その後に続く“孔”を開く儀式は、聖杯ではなく大聖杯が執り行う。

A demonstration of the competition to acquire the Holy Grail.
If the so called Holy Grail had the same power as the Holy Grail in legends, then the battle for the fake was still called the Holy Grail War.
The Holy Grail War at Fuyuki City was special. Using a Servant system which employed Heroic Spirits as Familiars was something unique to Fuyuki City.
The preparation and decision-making were done by the Mages' Association. The Association also held most of the power over the matter. However, since the "Holy Grail" was part of the name, the Holy Church would not remain silent.
"Fake or not, we must control all the Holy Grails" ---- thus the Holy Church sent Arbiters to Fuyuki City, plotting to confiscate the Holy Grail when the opportunity emerged.
... the mages of the Association developed the game, but the rights were forcefully transferred to the Holy Church at the eleventh hour. I would say that was pretty unreasonable.

聖杯【その他】
聖杯を得る為の競争行為を示したもの。
聖杯と称するモノが伝説上の聖杯と同じ能力があるのなら、偽物を巡る戦いでも聖杯戦争と呼ばれる。
冬木市の聖杯戦争は特殊で、英霊を使い魔にするサーヴァントシステムは冬木市だけのものなのだとか。
その準備、取り決めは魔術協会が行い、大部分の権利は協会が抑えているのだが、聖杯の名を冠する以上聖堂教会も黙ってはいない。
その真偽がどうであれ、聖杯は全て我々が管理する————と聖堂教会は冬木市に監督役を送り、隙あらば聖杯を魔術師たちから没収しようと企んでいる。
……ゲームソフトを作ったのが魔術協会に属する魔術師たちで、ゲームを動かすハードの利権を持っているのが聖堂教会というコトだ。あんまりと一言えばあんまりな例ですがっ。

The incident where Caster held Saber prisoner.
Virgin white dresses were the favorite of Big Sis' Caster.
It seemed Caster really loved Gothic Lolita fashion. Since it did not fit her personally, she then shifted her attention to cute girls? ... she had yet to master the spell to restore youth.
(Eh, Saber's dress was not Gothic Lolita.) In my personal opinion, that scene was the most ero-ero one in the story. Way to go Caster.

聖女陵辱【その他】
キャスターに囚われたセイバーのコト。
純白のドレスはキャスターの姐さんの趣味である。
なんでもゴスロリ趣味らしいのだが、自分には似合わないので可愛い女の子が好きなのだとか。……若返りの魔術は習得していないのかのう ……。
(あ、セイバーのドレスはゴスロリではありません)個人的には、本編で一番エロエロなシーンだと思いまーす。いいぞキャスターもっとやれ。

Illyasviel von Einzbern[]

Semi-heroine.
Berserker's Master.
The mysterious lolita who approached the clueless Shirou at the beginning of the story and called him "big bro".
The girl who possessed both innocence and brutality, and was somehow deeply interested in Shirou.
It was truly fortunate to behold someone who was simultaneously an angel and a demon.
As a Master, her aptitude was the greatest amongst all Masters past and present.
Command Spells were carved all over her body. The number of her Magic Circuits overwhelmed that of a typical magus. These factors and many more made her almost a vessel that existed to win the Holy Grail War.
She became a key character in all routes, but her true identity and nature were only revealed in the final route.
Ilya got along well with Shirou and had trouble deciding whether or not to kill him.
She had a personal route during development. However, if that were made, then the release date of Fate/Stay Night would be delayed by another half a year. Thank God.

イリヤスフィール·フォン·アインツベルン【人名】
準ヒロイン。
パーサーカーのマスター。
本騙において、まだなーんにも知らない士郎に接近 し、「お兄ちゃん」呼ばわりする謎のロリっ娘。
無邪気さと残酷さを兼ね備えた少女で、なぜか士郎 に兴味を持っている。
天使と悪魔は同じなんだなー、と実感して貰えれば幸いです。
マスターとしての能力は歴代のマスター中最高。
全身に刻まれた令呪、通常の魔術師を圧倒する魔術回路の数等、まさに聖杯戦争に勝つ為だけに生まれた存在と言える。
あらゆるルートでキーパーソンとなる少女だが、その正体·本質が明らかになるのは最终ルートのみ。
それまでは仲良く楽しく、士郎を殺しにくる困ったちゃんである。
プロット段階では専用ルートがあったとか。が、もし作っていたら「Fate」完成はさらに半年延びていたであろう、南無。

Illya Maid[]

These maids made their appearance because some artistic director insisted on it and made a huge scene about it.
Sella was responsible for Illya's education, while Liz was Ilya's bosom buddy with whom she talked to.
By the way, did you know the secret that Liz had one of the biggest sets of breasts in Fate?
Basically they were failures in the creation of the Holy Grail. Originally these homonculi were set to be scrapped, but were given new lives as caretakers of Illya.
Here were some trivia. In early drafts, the caretaker of Illya was a tuxedo-wearing German man; someone akin to the wonderful man who nagged at Shirou and Rin incessantly.

イリヤのメイド【その他】
イリヤ付きのメイドさん。
原画担当がどうしてもメイドを出すとうるさい、否、 拘った為、登場が決定した。
教育係のセラと、イリヤの話し友達のリーズリット。
すなみに、リズがFate中一二を争う巨乳なのは内绪ですよ?
もともとは聖杯の失敗作で、廃弃されるところをイリヤの世話係として延命されているホムンクルス。
余談ではあるが、本当ならイリヤの世話係はスーツ姿のイヤーなドイツ人男性で、士郎と凛をネチネチい たぶる素敵マンを予定していたとか。

Incantation[]

The action required to perform magecraft.
This included: 1) Single Action (one Step), which activated magecraft directly from magical energy, 2) Spells of one Bar, which required anchoring within one's body, 3) Ten Count (Instant Contract), which consisted of spells ten Bars or greater, etc.
Rin's Gandr shot and Rider's Mystic Eyes were Single Action. Shirou and Archer's lengthy incantation of more than five Bars approached Ten Count.
Caster's spells were only one Bar, but she could activate them faster than one Step, trumping mages of the same level in speed.
Even though Caster's spells were merely one Bar, their power was equivalent to spells of more than five Bars. Normal mages could not match them.
By the way, Caster's incantations were themselves "Divine Language", so strictly speaking we should not really describe them as "one Step" or "one Bar".
A Magic Resistance of around B or C rank was required to negate Caster's spells.

詠唱【魔術】
魔術を起動させる為の動作。
魔力を通すだけで魔術を起動させる一工程(シングルアクション)から、つの事柄を自身の中で固定化する一小节、十以上の小节を以って簡易的な儀式と成す瞬間契約 (テンカウント)等が確認されている。
凛のガンド撃ち、ライダーの魔限はシングルアクションに属し、士郎、アーチャーの詠唱は五小节以上の、ほとんど テンカウントに近い長詠唱。
キャスターの詠唱は一小节ではあるが、その発動が瞬間的である為シングルアクションより速いか、同レベルのスピードを誇る。
そのクセ威力は五小节以上の魔術に相当するのだから、まっとうな魔術師には手におえない相手と言ヲえよう。
ちなみに、キャスターの呪文自体が“神言"である為、一工程、一小节といった括りにはとらわれない。
スキル·対魔力のB、C辺りの条件には该当しないという事だ。

Invisible Air[]

An invisible sword. Invisible Air.
The sword's blade has been sealed off by wrapping it in multiple layers of wind that alter the refractive index of light.
Strictly speaking, it is magecraft, not a Noble Phantasm.
Because it prevents the enemy from determining its range, it is far more effective in close combat than its relative simplicity would suggest.
It increases the user's accuracy rate and defensive power, but should the enemy happen to have "resistance toward compensation in response to visual obstructions" then Invisible Air will just be a normal sword clad in wind.
Against opponents with the skill False Mind's Eye, or who are otherwise protected from visual illusions, it has no effect at all.
Saber treats it as her primary weapon, but as Kojirou correctly surmised it is nothing more than a sheathe meant to conceal her holy sword.

風王結界【宝具、魔術】
不可視の剣、インビジブル・エア。
幾重もの風を纏わりつかせ、光の屈折率を変化させる事によって刀身を封じた剣。
厳密に言えば宝具ではなく魔術。
敵に武器の間合いを把握させない、シンプルではあるが白兵戦において絶大な効果を発揮する。
命中率と防御力が向上するが、相手が「視覚妨害による補正への耐性」を持っている場合、風王結界はただ風を纏っただけの剣になる。
スキル・心眼(偽)や幻覚耐性を持っている敵には 効果はないのである。
セイパーの主武装ではあるが、小次郎が言い当てたように、本質は聖剣を隠す鞘でしかない。

Iskandar, King of Conquerors[]

前回ではセイバーとの戦いで弱った後、ギルガメッシュとの連戦によって敗北した。

Issei Ryuudou[]

He first became acquainted with Shirou two years ago, and soon became his friend.
Though he has a straight-laced and serious personality, that doesn't mean he's stubborn or inflexible.
As the youngest child of Ryuudou Temple, it seems he has his heart set on one day becoming a Buddhist monk.
Though, he'll be the first to tell you that his ability to sense the supernatural is weak.
He travels two hours on foot every single day to attend school. Apparently engaging in ascetic training in the mountains makes you a good walker.
He's been acquainted with Rin for quite a while, and his distrust toward women probably stems from the behind-the-scenes feud they've been engaged in for the past two years. However, as much as it pains him to admit it he still recognizes Rin as a human being.
He looked up to Kuzuki Souichirou as a mentor, and on holidays they would often perform paired kata together.
If he hadn't gone into the student council, it's a safe bet that he would have enrolled in the karate club instead.
His favorite food is Shirou's boxed lunches.

柳洞一成【人名】
2年C組の男子生徒。生徒会長。
二年前に士郎と知り合い、友人となった。
堅物で遊びのない性格だが、融通がきかない訳でもない。
柳洞寺の末っ子で、行く行くは僧侣になりたいらしい。本人も口にしていたが、霊感は薄い。
何気に、毎日二時間の道のりを踏破して登校している。お山で修行するお坊さんは健脚なのだ。
凛とは随分前から知り合いで、一成の女嫌いは二年間に凛る凛との暗闘が原因と思われる。南無。でも人間として凛を認めているあたり、本人も困っていたり。
葛木宗一郎を師と仰ぎ、休日は組み手をしていた。
生徒会に入っていなければ空手部に在籍していただろつ。
好物は土郎の弁当。

Jewel Magecraft[]

The sorcery that Rin specializes in.
Jewels easily accumulate the thoughts of their owners, and make excellent vessels for magical energy.
Crystals that have slumbered beneath the earth for eons, in particular, are prone to having nature spirits form within them, and jewels with that property can be used as simple sorcery crests. For example, a jewel with a nature spirit of fire dwelling within it would become highly flammable just by passing magical energy through it… or something along those lines.
Whenever Rin has spare time she transfers her magical energy into jewels, turning them into powerful bullets. However, in the end they are merely disposable items.
Because their sorcery reduces expensive jewels to ash after a single use, the Tohsaka magi are fated to be chronically afflicted with a lack of funds.

宝石魔術【魔術】
凜が得意とする魔術。
宝石は持ち主の念を溜めやすく、魔力を宿しやすい。
中でも長く地中に眠っていた鉱石には自然霊が形成 されやすく、属性を帯びた宝石はそれだけで簡易的な魔術刻印となる。火の自然霊が宿った宝石は、魔力を通すだけで燃えやすくなるという風に。
凜は暇さえあれば宝石に自分の魔力を移し、強力な弾丸としているのだが、宝石魔術は使い捨てである。
高価な宝石を一回きりで灰にしてしまう遠坂の魔術師は、常に資金不足で悩まされる宿命なのだとか。

Justeaze Lizrich von Einzbern[]

The Einzbern family head who became the foundation of the Great Holy Grail over 200 years ago.
Just like Illya, she was not a proper human, but was instead a magic circuit born for the sole purpose of becoming the Great Holy Grail's core.
In fact, Illya, who was born from the union of a Justeaze-type homunculus and a foreign magus, could be considered her latest model.
As for Justeaze herself, she still exists within the center of the Great Holy Grail. The circuitry covering the surface of the crater in the cavern is actually her magic circuits, enlarged and multiplied.
These magic circuits, almost a kilometer in diameter, are microcosm of the universe created from a single human body.

ユスティーツァ·リズライヒ·フォン·アインツベルン【人名】
二百年前、大聖杯の礎となったアインツベルンの当主。
イリヤ同様まっとうな人間体ではなく、大聖杯の炉心になる為だけに生まれた魔術回路である。
イリヤはユスティーツァの同係機である母親と、外来の魔術師との間で生まれた最新型。
大聖杯の中心には未だ彼女が納まっており、クレーターの表面にビツシリと敷き詰められた回路は、彼女の魔術回路を拡大・増殖させたもの。
直径にして一キロメートル近い大聖杯の魔術回路は、 一つの人体によって構成された小宇宙なのである。

Kaede Makidera[]

Makidera Kaede.
A member of Class 2-A's famed track girl trio. She is the track team's star sprinter, and wishes people would call her the Black Panther of Homura. Her actual nickname is just "Maki".
She's scheming at making the honor student Tohsaka Rin her best friend, and sees Mitsuzuri Ayako as a rival.
Her hobby is collecting wind chimes, and she loves working with glass. Perhaps because her tastes intersect with Rin's on that point, the two often go around visiting antique shops together on their days off.

蒔寺楓【人名】
まきでらかえで。
2年A組の仲良し三人組の一人。陸上部きつてのス プリンターで、穂群の黒豹の異名を持ちたいと思って いる。通称マキジ。
優等生の遠坂凛を友人にして美味しいめに与りたいと企み、凛の数少ない友人である美綴綾子をライバル視している。
趣味は風鈴集めで、ガラス細工が大好き。そのあたりで凛と趣味が合うのか、休日は二人で骨董品屋巡り をしていたりする。

Kane Himuro[]

It seems she actually wants to paint pictures, but was strong-armed into joining the track team by Makidera Kaede.

氷室鐘【人名】
ひむろかね。
2年A組の仲良し三人組の一人。おもにつっこみ担当。
陸上部では高く跳ぶ方のエース。カネ、という古臭い名前を嫌っているかと思えば、本人は大のお気に入りらしい。
本当は絵が描きたいのだが、蒔寺に無理やり陸上部に入らされた。

Kansho-Byakuya[]

Kansho-Byakuya.
The Yin-Yang paired swords which Archer favoured.
The swords forged by the famed swords smith Kansho of Wu, during the Spring Autumn period of China.
Kansho received orders from the King of Wu to forge the imperial sword, however, he could not think of ways to forge swords that fit such orders. He was really frustrated and desperate.
Seeing this situation, his wife Byakuya decided to gamble her own life.
In order to forge items reaching the realm of Gods, sacrificing of human lives is absolutely necessary.
Thus Byakua hurled herself into the furnace in front of the husband she loved, using her own life to help the Essence of Five Mountains and the Metal of Six Heroes meld.
Kansho forged the two swords in grief.
These are Kansho and Byakuya, a pair of twin swords that reflect Yin and Yang.
Since they were forged with the best materials and human life, their abilities as swords are great. In addition, they also have aspects as magical weapons used in Witchcraft and Rituals.
It is unknown why Archer chose to carve what seems to be spells of warding all over the swords."

干将莫耶【宝具】
かんしょう·ばくや。
アーチャーが好んで使う陰陽の夫婦剣。
中国は春愁時代、呉に名を馳せた万匠?·干将が作り上げた剣。
呉王に王の剣の鋳造を命じられた干将だが、思うように剣が打てず、焦燥しきってしまう。
それを見かねた妻の莫耶は一命を賭した。
神域の業物を作るには、人身御供が必要となる。
莫耶は愛する夫の前で炉心に身を吹け、その命を以っ て五山精、六英金を溶け合わせたのだ。
干将は悲しみの中二振りの剣を作り上げる。
それが干将莫耶、陰陽を体現した一対の夫婦剣である。
最高の素材と人命で打たれた為、剣としての性能も高いが、巫術、式典用の魔術兵装としての側面も持つ。
アーチャー本人の如何なる趣向か、万身には魔よけと思われる言葉が刻まれている。)

Kirei Kotomine[]

Kirei Kotomine [Person's name]
The arbiter appointed by both the Mages' Association and the Holy Church.
He was Archer's Master during the previous War, but he maneuvered behind the scenes during this War as Lancer's Master.
When Kotomine was in his early twenties, his father was appointed the arbiter of the Fuyuki Holy Grail War. After that, he was transferred to the Mages' Association under the Holy Church's "formal dispatch".
As a survivor of the Fourth Holy Grail War, Kotomine inherited the mantle of arbiter.
He bore the title of Executor from the Holy Church, and was proficient in Spiritual Healing.
Even though he was a member of the Executors, he would not be a match for the Number Seven of the Burial Agency.
His anti-spiritual attack power was exceptional, thus demonstrating that his faith was unwavering (albeit distorted).
Although he favoured destruction, he was a "creation" type magus like Shirou. The skillfulness of his spiritual and psychological healing had reached Priest level.
He was villainous but not wicked; cruel but not deviant.
The ultimate antagonist of Fate.
If Archer represented Shirou's flaws that were exposed under the spot light, then Kotomine could be called a wall you could only perceive in the dark.
His initial concept was "the evil mastermind that was instantly recognizable".

言峰 綺礼【人名】
魔術協会、聖堂教会という二大組織から派遣された監督役。
前回ではアーチャーの、今回ではランサーのマスターとして暗躍する。
二十代前半、父が監督役を任された冬木市の聖杯戦争に参加。その後、教会から『派遣される』という形で魔術協会に鞍替えした。
第四回聖杯戦争における生存者の一人として監督役を引き継いだ。
教会の代行者の資格を持ち、霊媒治療を得意とする。
代行者としては一流たが、それでも埋葬機関の第七位にはとうてい太刀打ちできないとか。
が、霊体に対しての攻撃力は特出しており、(歪ではあるが)彼の信仰がどれほど揺るぎないものかを現 している。
破壊を好むように思われるが、綺礼は士郎と同“作る”側の魔術師である。霊体、精神の瑕を直す手腕は司祭レベル。
悪党ではないが悪人。非道ではないが外道。
「Fate」における最大の敵。
アーチャーが士郎の瑕を光によって浮き彫りにする存在だとすると、言峰は闇によって露わにする壁と言えるえたろう。
初期コンセプトは『会っ瞬間黒幕と判るヤツ』。

Kiritsugu Emiya[]

Freelance magus.
He passed away at the age of 34.
For better or for worse, he was the one decided Shirou's way of life.
Kiritsugu was Shirou's foster father.
The Master of Saber during the previous Holy Grail War, and he emerged victorious at the end.
He favoured guns, and practiced a special magecraft called Innate Time Control.
His aptitude as a Master was unremarkable, but he was an adept when it came to "slaying the opposing magi".
In a way, he was the hitman of the Mages' Association. Because of this reputation, he earned the contract and favour of the Einzberns.
During the Holy Grail War, he deceived an opposing Master, held his lover as hostage, and detonated a building. He was a villain not unlike the young Kotomine. ... Really, Kotomine was also quite young at that time.
Maybe it was the fate of gentle man, Kiritsugu naturally had wife and lover.
When not working as a magus, he was extremely chivalrous. He told little Shirou that "boys who make a girl cry will end in ruins".
...Hmm? Was this guy really a feminist?
After the Holy Grail War, he passed away from the corruption of "All the World's Evil" due to Kotomine.

衛宮切嗣【人名】
フリーランスの魔術師。
享年三十四歳。
良くも悪くも士郎の生き方を決定付けた人物。
衛宮士郎の養父。
前回の聖杯戦争ではセイパーのマスターとなり、最後まで勝ち残った。
铳器を好み、固有時製御という特殊な魔術を習得していた。
マスターとしての适性はノーマルだが、“敵対する魔術師を殺す”事に関しては折纸付きだった。
言うなれば魔術協会におけるヒットマンで、そのあたりの腕がアインツベルンに買われたと思われる。
聖杯戦争時は敵マスターを骗すわ恋人を人質にするわ建物ごと爆破するわ、そりやもう言峰が若々しく思 えるほどの悪役っプリすたったらしい。……いやまあ、 実際その頃の言峰さんは若いのですが。
優男の宿命か、さりげに妻と愛人がいたりする。
魔術師として行動する時以外は極度のフェミニストで、「女の子は泣かせないコト、後で损するからね」と幼い士郎に言い闻かせていたとか。
……ん?こいつホントにフェミニストか?
聖杯戦争後、言峰に受けた“この世全ての悪"に蚀ま れ他界。

Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg[]

Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg [Person's name]
Also known as the Wizard Marshall, Zelretch of the Jewel, and the Kaleidoscope.
One of the five True Magicians.
(He also had a role as one of the Dead Apostle Ancestors, but because it was not relevant to the story of Fate, that part was cut.)
A magus who was symbolized by gem stones. An eccentric old man who raged at evil with a passion, but laughed at do-gooders.
He frequently took in pupils, but no mage house had emerged as successors to take over his mantle.
Once upon a time, he engaged the King of Vampires in single combat. He pushed back a boulder falling from the heavens in a feat of power. Such a monster was Zelretch.
However, since then he had aged significantly. It seemed that he could no longer wield Magic the way he did, back when he was at his prime.
By the way, the pupils he took in almost all became wrecks.
There was a related episode in the True End of Sakura Route. The Department Heads at the Mage's Association said, "What should we do? If we don't send in the most promising candidates, no one is going to come back from the ordeal. But if we send in the most promising candidates, we are going to take a huge loss if they are turned into wrecks." Such was their dilemma.

キシュア・ゼルレッチ・シュバインオーグ 【人名】
魔道元帥、宝石のゼルレッチ。
万華鏡(カレイドスコープ)の二つ名を持つ、五人の魔法使いの一人。
(死徒と呼ばれる吸血種の祖の一角でもあるが、Fate本騙には関わりのない話なので割愛)
宝石をシンボルとする魔術帥で、悪に義憤し善を笑うというよくわかんない爺さん。
気まぐれで弟子をとるが、彼の後継者になった家係は未だ出てきていない。
すっげー大昔に吸血種の王様と一騎打ちし、落ちてくるでつけー石を力技で押し返したという怪物。
が、それ以後はめっきり老け込み、現在は全盛期の魔法行使はできないそうだ。
ちなみに、彼に弟子入りするという事は、ほぽ間違いなく廃人にされるという事。
桜トゥルーエンドで語られるエピソードは、魔術協会の部門長たちにも、「どうしよう、一番見込みのあるヤツじゃないと帰ってこないけど、一番見込みのある天才が使い物にならなくなったら大損害だ」という、 伸るか反るかのパクチなワケである。

Lancer[]

Lancer [Servant]
Heroic Spirit of the lance. Requires supreme agility, as well as excellent close combat skills. Though they tend to be less flashy than the other classes, they are a very reliable type of Servant.
The Lancer in the story has a rough and tumble personality, but at his core he believes in justice and is easy to get along with. He is an agreeable youth acting out the role of one gentle in disposition yet strong in body.
His true identity is the great Celtic hero, Cu Chulainn.
If the stage of this Holy Grail War were anywhere but Japan, he would be a shining existence on par with Heracles and King Arthur.
As was mentioned in the story, he is a Heroic Spirit that specializes in survival, capable of returning alive no matter how hopeless the situation. Unfortunately, this time luck wasn't on his side.
It is said that in the midst of battle he would unleash a fearsome war cry, and at the same time his body would swell and bulge with muscle as his behavior became like that of a demon.
However, though he possesses the qualifications to be a Berserker there is no doubt that the Lancer class suits him best.
He responded to the summoning solely because he wanted to engage in a valiant fight to the death, but this simple wish was never granted to him.
He is a tragic Servant, who embodies the cynical notion that "wishes don't come true".

ランサー【サーヴアント】
槍兵の英霊。最高の敏捷性を求められ、白兵戦にも優れた能力が求められる。華やかさはないが堅実なサーヴァントタイプ。
粗野で暴力的な性格だが、根は正義の人で人懐っこい。気は優しくて力持ち,を地で行く好青年である。
正体はケルトの大英雄クーフーリン。
この聖杯戦争の舞台が日本でなければ、ヘラクレスやアーサー王に並ぶ光り輝く存在だったろう。
本編でも述べられた通り、生き延びる事に特化した英霊。どのような死地からも生還するが、今回は運が無かった、と言わざるを得ない。
曰く、“戦闘時では雄叫びと共に体が盛り上がり、悪鬼の如く振舞った”とか。
パーサーカーの条件も備えた人物だが、やはり彼に はランサーが似合っていよう。
“死力を尽くした闘い”を求め、それを代償として召喚に応じたランサーだが、願いが葉えられた事は一度も無かった。
願いとは葉えられないもの、という皮肉さを体現した悲運のサーヴァントである。

Luviagelita Edelfelt[]

Luviagelita Edelfelt [Person's name]
Daughter of the Edelfelt family, a distinguished lineage in the world of magi.
She is considered to be one of the most promising students currently studying at the Clock Tower.
With her refined manners, elegant speech, and swan-like beauty, she was the very model of a perfect young lady.
That is, until Tohsaka Rin appeared before her.
It's said that like attracts like, but which one attracted the other is a total mystery. All that can be said for certain is that the two of them were far too similar.
And so, the perfect young lady Luvia (who had been successfully hiding her true nature up until then) met her rival. From that point on, every time they saw each other they inevitably ended up quarreling.
By the end of the year, there was an unspoken agreement within the mineralogy department to not even bother going to classes that the two of them were scheduled to attend at the same time.
Luvia specializes in jewel sorcery just like Rin, and is a master-level user of Gandr. Of course, that second one is only natural, given that she's from Finland.
She is a true perfect superhuman, and behind her graceful exterior is a neat freak that hates losing.
Honestly, it would be strange if she didn't clash with Rin.
After all, there's no need for two suns in the same sky.
However, although she might be a bit cranky at having the disguise she wore for so long suddenly ripped away, she seems to be having fun passing the days away with Rin, so it's probably alright.
Also, though she's just a student herself, she found the dorms too cramped for her liking and bought a mansion to live in instead.

ルヴィアゼリツタ·エーデルフェルト【人名】
魔道の名門、エーデルフェルト家のご令嬢。
時計塔にて今期の主席候補の一人とされている。
優雅な物腰、気品溢れる言葉遣い、白鳥の如き美貌と非の打ち所のない人物だった。
彼女の前に、遠坂凛が現れるまでは。
類は友を呼ぶ、という言葉があるが、凛が呼ばれたのかルヴィアが呼ばれたのかは分からない。ただ一つ確かなコトは、二人がことごとく似たもの同士だったという事である。
今まで完全に猫っ被りをしていたルヴィアお嬢さまは降って涌いたライバルである凛に出会い、以後、顔を合わせる度に衝突の度合いは激しくなっていった。
一年が経ち、時計塔の鉱石学科では「トオサカとエー デルフェルトがかちあう授業には出席するな」という暗黙の了解さえ流れている。
凛と同じく宝石魔術を得意とし、フィンランド人のたしなみ(無論、間違えた嗜みである)としてガンド撃ちも達人レベル。
優雅な顔立ちの裏では負けず嫌いで潔癖症という、 これで凛とぶつからない方がおかしい完壁超人。
同じ空に太陽は二つ要らぬ、とばかりに凛を敵視しては、何かとちょっかい出してくる楽しいお嬢さま。
十何年間被ってきた化けの皮が剥がされてご機嫌斜めではあるが、凛との日々は充実しているので結果オーライっぽい。
寄宿舎は狭い、と学生の分際で洋館を買い取って住んでいる。

Magecraft [Magecraft]
A general term for the act of artificially reenacting mysteries and miracles.
Although each school has its individual differences, it is basically a mechanism for using the magical energy in the practitioner's body or the outside world, in order to reenact a predetermined phenomenon.
The practitioner sends an order (command) to the foundation (system) controlled by their school, and a pre-made function (program) is executed.
The "electrical current" needed to send that command and execute the program is magical energy.
Though magecraft may seem almighty, it is basically the bringing about of mysteries by means of equivalent exchange.
Even the exceptionally talented Rin, in exchange for her versatile sorcery trait, will find herself afflicted by a chronic lack of money her entire life.
Also, sorceries that affect other people's minds and change the course of their thoughts require no physical compensation, but the practitioner will inevitably find their own thoughts being pulled in that altered direction as well. As the saying goes, before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.
Because the study of curses is looked down upon as unscholarly by the Association, they have fallen far behind the Middle East in that particular field.

魔術【魔術】
人為的に神秘・奇蹟を再現する行為の総称。
門派ごとに違いはあるものの、基本的には“術者の体内、もしくは外界に満ちた魔力を変换”する機構。
各門派が取り仕切る基盤(システム)に従って術者が命令(コマンド)を送り、あらかじめ作られていた機能(プログラム)が実行される、というもの。
その、命令を送るのに必要な电流が魔力である。
魔術には万能のイメージがあるが、基本的には等価交换で神秘を起とす。
才能に優れた凛だが、その“なんにでも手を出せる”魔術特性が故に代償を払いまくり、终生まで金欠で悩まされるハメになるとか。
また、他者の精神に干渉し、思考の方向性を変える魔術等は物質的な代償を必要としないが、術者の精神をも変えてしまった方向性に引っ張ってしまう。
人を呪わば穴二つ。
魔術協会では呪術は学問ではないとされ、中东圏のソレに大きく遅れをとっている。

A mystery distinct from magecraft. The final destination of magi.
"Magic" is that which makes the impossible into the possible, for a given era. A "result" which can be realized with the application of time and effort is not magic.
In the past, when civilization was young, most magi were also magicians, but currently only five remain.
…Well, that's what they say, but there are actually only four still alive.
The magician that handled the First magic already died a long, long time ago.
Of the remaining four, two have disappeared, and two are bothersome people that pop up all over the place leaving trouble in their wake.

魔法【奇蹟】
魔術とは違う神秘。 魔術師たちの最终到達地点。
その時代で実現不可能な出来事を可能とするのが『魔法』であり、時間と資金をかければ実現できる“結果” は魔法とは呼ばれない。
文明が幼かった过去、魔術師たちの大半は魔法使いだったが、現在はもう五人を残すのみとなった。
といっても、生きている魔法使いは四人。
第一魔法と呼ばれるモノを扱った魔法使いはとうに死去している。
残る四人中、二人は姿を眩ましているが、二人は頻繁に現れてはトラブルを起こして立ち去るという、実にはた迷惑な者ども。

Magical Beast[]

Magical Beast [Others]
In the world of Fate/stay night, a general term for beasts which do not correspond to normal ecosystems.
They are divided into three ranks: monstrous, mythical, and divine.
The vast majority of monstrous beasts are crossbreeds (chimera) living in still-uncivilized regions, but it seems that those of mythical rank and above have shifted to the far side of the world.
Though the Pegasus that appears in the story is a monstrous beast, its long life puts it at the level of a mythical beast. Ordinary magi are completely unable to compete with something of this rank.
Also, beings that take after dragons are considered to be superior, regardless of classification. Since dragons are endowed with the characteristics of several species, it appears that even consorting with humans was not uncommon.

魔獣【その他】
「Fate」世界における、通常の生態係に該当しない獣の総称。
彼らにもランクがあり、魔獣、幻獣、神獣と分類される。
魔獣の多くは掛け合わせ(キメラ)であり.いまだ未開の地に生息しているが、幻獣はその特性上、世界 の裏側にシフトしてしまったらしい。
本編で登場するライダーの天馬は魔獣だが、長く蓄 えた年月により幻獣の域に達している。幻獣ランクのモノには、並大抵の魔術師では歯が立たない。
また、竜を模したモノは分類に関係なく最優種とされる。竜種は三類の属性を備えている為、人と交わる事も多かったようだ。

Magic Circuits[]

Magic Circuits [Magecraft]
Pseudo-nerves within the body of a magus.
Magic circuits are responsible for converting life force into magical energy, and for connecting to the underlying grand sorcery formula.
Because the number of magic circuits a person has is fixed at birth, magi lineages do what they can to improve themselves and create an heir with even one more magic circuit.
Once the magic circuits have been opened for the first time, the practitioner can switch them on and off at will.
Each practitioner visualizes the flipping of this switch in their own particular way. For Shirou, the image is that of a gun's firing hammer, while for Rin it is stabbing a heart with a knife.
This image tends to be related to how the circuits were opened for the very first time, so there even those who can only open their circuits through sexual arousal or self-harm.
By the way, Shirou's number of magic circuits is an unexpectedly high 27.
Rin, on the other hand, has 40 main circuits, while her sub-circuits are 30 each.

魔術回路【魔術】
魔術師が体内に持つ拟似神経。
生命力を魔力に変换する為の路であり、基盤となる大魔術式に繋がる路でもある。
生まれながらに持ち得る数が決まっており'魔術師の家係は自分たちに手を加えて、魔術回路が一本でも多い後継ぎを诞生させようとする。
一度開いてしまえば,あとは術者の意思でオンオフができる。
スイッチの仕方は術者のイメージそれぞれで、士郎は铳の撃鉄のイメージ、凛は心臓をナイフで刺すイメージだとか。
これは一番初めの“開き”に関係しており、中には性的兴奋で闻くもの、自傷行為によってしか開かないもの、と様々。
ちなみに、士郎の魔術回路は意外と多く、二十七。
凛の魔術回路はメインが四十、サプがそれぞれ三十。

Magic Crest[]

An inheritance passed down within magi families.
The mysteries that a magus has spent his entire life establishing (stabilizing) are turned into a crest and left to his descendants.
It's no exaggeration to say that the crest is engraved with the history of the entire bloodline, and that the magus who inherits it is burdened not only with his family's regrets, but is duty bound to pass it on to a successor as well.
In a way, you could call it a curse passed down through the generations.

魔術刻印【魔術】
魔術師の家係が持つ遺産。
生涯を以って鍛え上げ、固定化(安定化)した神秘を刻印にし、子孫に遺したもの。
その血統の歴史全てが刻まれているといっても過言ではなく、魔術刻印を継承した魔術師は一族の無念を背負って、次の後継者に刻印を譲り渡さねばならない。
ある意味、代を重ねて重みを増していく呪いと言える。

Mystic Eyes[]

Mystic Eyes [Magecraft]
Typically, single-action sorceries possessed by magi.
They are created by changing the eyeballs, which by nature are passive receptors of information from the external world, into tools for actively influencing the external world.
People within the user's field of vision will have sorcery cast on them without question, and should they happen to make direct eye contact the effect will be dramatically increased.
In short, they are a fearsome sorcery trait – not only are they something that must not be seen, but simply being seen by them means you have fallen into your opponent's trap.
Because of their conceal ability and capability, they are considered the mark of a first-class magus.
Though, artificial mystic eyes are limited to effects on the level of charm or suggestion.
The most powerful mystic eyes are those which are possessed from birth.
Things like Rider's mystic eyes of petrification, or mystic eyes that can see the death of things, are "psychic abilities" that cannot be reenacted even with sorcery.

魔眼【魔術】
おもに魔術師が持つ、一工程の魔術行使。
本来、外界からの情報を得る受動機能である眼球を、 自身から外界に働きかける能動機能に変えたもの。
言ってしまえば視界にいるものに問答無用で魔術をかける代物で、標的にされた対象が魔眼を見てしまえば、効力は飛躍的に増大する。
要するに見てはいけないモノ、見られるだけで相手の術中に依るという恐ろしい魔術特性。
その隠匿性と能力から、魔術師の間で魔眼は一流の証とされる。
もっとも、人工的な魔眼では魅惑や暗示程度の力しか持ち得ない。
強力な魔眼保持者は、決まって“生まれつき持っていたもの”に限られる。
ライダーの石化の魔眼、モノの死を視る魔眼などは魔術でも再現できない"超能力"である。

Nagato Tohsaka[]

Nagato Tohsaka [Person's name]
The Tohsaka family head during the very first Holy Grail War, two hundred years ago.
He took part in the ritual at the request of Makiri Zouken and Justeaze.
Though traditionally the Tohsaka were a clan of secret Christians, one day a strange old man appeared out of nowhere and led them astray. Ever since then, they have devoted themselves to the world of sorcery.
With their contacts in the Holy Church and favorable treatment from the Association as disciples of a magician, they are in an enviable position.
It is due to their connections with both organizations that they were appointed the managers of Fuyuki.
At any rate, Nagato viewed sorcery and martial arts as equal, and was attempting to reach the Root via a state of mushin (no-mind) when he was recruited by the Einzberns and Makiri.
As you might expect from Rin's ancestor, he was prone to goofing up. Also, it seems that his daughter was the one with talent for sorcery, and ended up being far more useful in the construction of the Great Holy Grail than her father was.

遠坂永人【人名】
とおさかながと。
二百年前、聖杯戦争を始めた遠坂の当主。
マキリ臓硯、ユスティーツァに協力を求められ、聖杯戦争に関わる。
遠坂の先祖は隠れて国外宗教の信徒をやっていた人だが、フラリと現れたへンな爺さんにこっちの道に勧 誘され、以後魔術の世界に傾倒した。
聖堂教会に多少顔がきき、魔法使いの弟子という事で魔術協会でも優遇されるおいしい家係。
冬木の土地を管理しているのも、両組織にパイプラインがあるからである。
永人は魔術と武術を等しく見ていた人物。
無の境地を経て根源に触れようとしていた所を、アインツベル ンとマキリに勧誘された。
凜の先祖なだけあって、わりとドジ。
魔術の才能は娘の方にあったらしく、大聖杯作成には永人より娘の方が力になったらしい。

Nine Lives[]

Nine Lives [Noble Phantasm]
"The Shooting Hundred Heads".
Heroic Spirit Heracles' most trusted Noble Phantasm.
It was the bow used to slay the Lernaean Hydra, whose nine heads would always regenerate no matter how many times they were cut off. Afterward, Heracles perfected a method of attacking that emulated the abilities of the bow, that could even be used with great swords. If Heracles' class was Saber, that glorious, exquisite swordplay would have definitely made its return.
…By the way, what cut down the blackened Berserker in the Sakura route was this secret sword technique, projected from Berserker together with the axe sword.

ナインライブズ【宝具】
“射殺す百頭”。
英霊ヘラクレスが最も信頼する宝具。
何度首を断ち切ろうが蘇生する九頭の大蛇を殲滅した弓矢で、以後、この弓矢の能力を模した攻撃方法を大剣でも使用するに至った。
ヘラクレスのクラスがセイパーであったのなら、その豪快にして精巧な剣技が再現されていたたろう。
ちなみに、黒化したパーサーカーを斬り崩したものも、斧剣と共にパーサーヵーから投影したこの秘剣である。

Noble Colour[]

Noble Colour [Others]
A name for inborn special talents, used within the Association.
Primarily used in reference to those who possess mystic eyes. For instance, the mystic eyes of Tsukihime's Shiki are an example of a Noble Color.
Rider's mystic eyes of petrification fall under the classification of "Jewel", which exceeds even the "Gold" possessed by the highest class of bloodsucker.
Further, beyond Jewel lies "Rainbow". These ultimate mystic eyes, which blend and mix all seven colors of the rainbow like a kaleidoscope, are considered to be the mark of the King of the Moon.

ノウブルカラー【その他】
魔術協会において、もって生まれた特殊な資質の事をこう呼ぶ。
おもに魔眼持ちに使われる。月姫の志貴の魔眼もノウブルカラー。
ライダーの石化の魔眼は最上級の吸血種が持つという“黄金”の更に上をいく“宝石”。
この宝石の更に上にあるのが“虹”万華鏡の知く七色が混同したモノで、月の王さまの証とされるとか。

The armaments carried by Heroic Spirits, made from humanity's illusions.
Though they generally come in the form of things like swords, spears, or bows, there are also those Heroic Spirits whose Noble Phantasms are auxiliary armaments like shields, rings, or crowns.
They are solidified "mysteries", and injecting them with magical energy while calling their true name will unleash their abilities.

宝具 【武装】
ノウブル・ファンタズム。
英霊たちが持つ、 人問の幻想を骨子にして作り上げられた武装の事。
剣、槍、弓といつたものが基本となるが、中には盾、指輪、王冠といつた補助的な武装を宝具とする英霊もいる。
固体化した"神秘"であり、真名と共に魔力を注ぎ込む事によって能力を発輝する。

The CGs that were used only once in the story.
Fate boasted a great number of CGs, and quite a few of them were drawn for specific scenes only. If you made the incorrect choice, you would never see them ever.
Some representatives included "after shower Saber", "Rin bowing her head in embarrassment", "Rin hugging herself", and "comically angry Saber".
In addition, some CGs were created but never used.
The lengthy game time and Tiger Dojo made this game quite a time sink.

一品もの【その他】
本騙で一回しか使われなかった立ち絵のコト。
一種キチOイじみた立ち絵数を誇るFateだが、 その中でも「シーン専用」として作られ、選択肢によっては一生日の目を見ない不遇の存在。
汤上りセイバー、照れうつむき凛、抱きつき凛、コミカル怒りセイバーなどが代表格。
また、あろう事か作られていながらも使用しなかっ た立ち絵もあるとか。
膨大なプレイ時間といい、タイガー道場といい、無駄の多いゲiムです。

Parameter[]

Parameter Rules [Others]
For no particular reason, all the Servants had their abilities translated into specific parameters.
It's pretty obvious just from looking at them that A is the strongest, but you might be thinking to yourself, "What on earth is all this B+ and A+ nonsense!?" Well, don't worry, because I'm going to take a moment to explain the rules behind it here.
For sake of argument, let's assume that a normal value is 1. In that case, E would be 10. And, every rank after that adds another 10, all the way up to A, which is 50.
Now, things like B+ and A+ represent the unique ability to multiply these numerical values for just an instant.
In other words, an ability ranked B+ would normally be weaker than an ability ranked A, but can momentarily exceed it by doubling its own power from 40 to 80.
Heroic Spirits with A+ (plus) are rare, those with A++ (double plus) are extraordinary, and those with A+++ (triple plus) are in a class all their own.
Also, a truly exceptional ability score that falls outside the numerical ranking scale is represented by an EX.
Though Gilgamesh's ability scores generally aren't very impressive, his EX rank Noble Phantasm parameter clearly distinguishes him from the other Heroic Spirits.

パラメータールール【その他】
なにげにパラメーター化されている各サーヴァントの能力。
Aが一番強いのは解るけど、B+とかA+とかなんなのんー?という貴方に少しだけルール説明をば。
仮に、通常値を1とした場合、Eは10。で、あとは10ずつ上乗せし、Aは50となる。
で、B+とかA+というのは、この数値を瞬間的に倍化できる特殊能力の事を指す。
つまり、B+の能力は、通常はAには敵わないが、一瞬だけなら40×2で80、50のAランクを上回れる、というコト。
+(フラス)を持つ英霊は少なく、++(ダブルプラス)なんていったらもう破格、+++(トリプルプラス)は別格だコノヤロー、という世界。
また、E~Aの数値に該当しない、そもそも別格な能力値はEXとして表される。
ギルガメッシュは各パラメーターこそ低いものの、宝具がEXな時点で他の英霊とは一線を画している訳である。

何故か本編では黒塗りで表現されたテキスト。
本来なら「○○は○○なり」というものなのだが、 大人の事情でカットされた。

Reinforcement[]

Reinforcement [Magecraft]
An elementary spell that was extremely difficult to master.
Even though elevating the target's existence through the infusion of mana was the basis of all magecraft, due to the high degree of freedom and lack of concrete protocols, there were very few users who could reinforce everything.
Shirou of course was only a half-baked user who could only reinforce weapon-related objects.
Since Reinforcement enhanced the target's meaning of existence, knives would become sharper, food would become more nutritious, and maids would become more moe.
It was impossible to reinforce something that was exceedingly vague.
By the way, it was difficult to infuse another living being with one's mana, thus Reinforcement of another human was a spell of highest difficulty.

強化【魔術】
初歩にして極めるのは至難とされる魔術。
魔力を通し、対象の存在を高める全ての魔術の基本なのだが、その自由度の高さからか明確な実行形式が定まっておらず、オールマイティーな“強化”使いは少なし 。
士郎は当然、武器に関してのみ強化を成せる半人前。
存在意義を特化させるので、ナイフなら切れ味が増 し、食材なら栄養度、メイドなら萌度が增す。
あまり曖昧なモノを、曖昧に強化する事はできない。
また、生物には自分の魔力を通しにくい為、他人を“強化”する事は最高難易度とされる。

Rider[]

Rider [Servant]
Heroic Spirit of the mount. A type of Servant that requires high maneuverability, and tends to possess strong Noble Phantasms.
The Rider in the story is no exception, riding Pegasus and making full use of its charging power in battle.
Of course, Rider herself is also a unique Heroic Spirit, and the number of skills and Noble Phantasms she has is particularly high even amongst the Servants.
She is taciturn and lacks self-assertiveness, but that doesn't mean she is apathetic toward her surroundings. Rather, she's the kind of person that worries about things from every conceivable angle but hides it behind a perfect poker face.
Though parts of her personality are quite similar to Sakura's, Sakura is a commoner while Rider is more of a high-born type. Even her demeanor and tone of speech have a sort of high-class strictness to them.
With the complex she has about her own height and the way she gets embarrassed when people see her mystic eyes, she might actually be pretty lady-like.
Because of her outward appearance and primary weapon, a lot of people thought she was going to be an Assassin class Servant before the game came out, but nope, she's a Rider!
I really wanted to have a scene in the Sakura route where she and Saber bickered with each other as they fought toward a common goal, but unfortunately the story didn't develop in that direction and I had to discard the idea.
Incidentally, the lewd dream on the fifth day of the Sakura route was Rider's doing.
She is not a Dead Apostle (vampire), but she is a bloodsucker. For her, the most efficient, luscious way of gaining magical energy is drinking blood.

ライダー【サーヴァント】
騎兵の英霊。高い機動性が求められ、強力な宝具を保有するサーヴァントタイプ。
本騙のライダーも天馬に騎乗し、その突進力に物を言わせた戦闘を得意とする。
ライダー自身も特殊な英霊で、保有スキル、宝具数はサーヴァントの中でもで一、二を争う。
無口で自己主張をしないライダーだが、周囲に無関心という訳ではない。むしろ色々考えすぎる性格なのだがポーカーフェイスで隠している。
性格的に桜と似たところがあるが、桜が庶民なのに対してライダーはお嬢さまタイプ。物腰や口調も、上流階級っぽい厳しさが感じられる。
自分の長身がコンプレックスだったり、魔眼を見られると恥かしがったりするあたり、奥ゆかしい人なのかも。
その外見と武器からゲーム発売前は「アサシンでは?」 と予想されていたが、正体はまさかのライダーでした。ニヤリ。
桜ルー卜では馬が合わないセイパーと文句を言い合いつつ共闘する、というシーンをやりたかったのですが、物語上没になりましたとさ。
ちなみに、桜ルート五日目の淫夢はライダーの仕業です。
死徒(吸血鬼)ではないが、吸血種。彼女にとって最も効率がよく甘美な魔力補給が吸血な訳である。

Rin's pendant[]

Rin's pendant [Others]
A powerful jewel sorcery left to Rin by her father.
It contained so much magical energy that it was even capable of reviving a human being on the verge of death.
This is what Rin used to help Emiya Shirou at the outset of the story.
Though it may have seemed like she was wavering back and forth about whether or not to save him for quite a while in the prologue, in reality it took her less than a second to make her decision. She sure does make snap judgments, that Rin.
Then, when Shirou was hazily tidying up after he came to, he ended up stuffing the pendant in his pocket before heading home.
As for the sequence of events that led to the pendant returning to Rin's possession, that's covered in the story.
Honestly, I was a little worried about what might happen if somebody figured it out from playing the trial version. I don't know what I would have done.

凛のペンダント【その他】
凛の父親が遺した、強力な宝石魔術。
死に瀕した人間さえ蘇らせるほどの魔力が篭もって いた。
物語冒頭、死にかけた衛宮士郎を助ける為、凛があっさり使ったもの。
プロローグで凛は随分迷っていたように見えますが、端から見るとシークタイム一秒以下だ、というのが本騙での真実なのです。決断の速い女、凛。
で、蘇った士郎は朦朧とした頭のまま後片付けをし、 ペンダントをポケットに仕舞って帰宅。
その後、このペンダントがどのような経緯で凛の手に戻るかは本騙を参照のコト。
体験版で気付く人が出できたらどうしよう、とちょっと心配になった部分ですよ?

Rin Tohsaka[]

Rin Tohsaka [Person's name]
Current head of the distinguished Tohsaka family, and one of the main heroines of Fate/stay night. As a Master, she spent just as much time quarreling with Shirou as she did cooperating with him.
Her manner of speech is often hostile and dismissive of other people, but deep down she has a caring, big-sisterly disposition.
Her tendency of making trivial mistakes at the worst possible moment is a hereditary curse.
Though she really is a lot nicer than she seems, in the end she always makes her decisions based on cold, rational logic. In her own words, it's "not a very cute personality".
There are even times when she thinks she might lack any sort of "girlishness" at all, and it's starting to become something of a complex for her.
In fact, her choice in personal clothes is probably an overreaction to that. Still, showing that much leg… a pure and wholesome boy won't know where to look. Please, try to bear with it, Shirou.
Her hobbies are admiring jewels and bullying Shirou.
She's a mischievous girl at heart, so she loves teasing serious people. Please, try to bear with it, Shirou.
As far as sorcery goes, she specializes in the flow and conversion of magical energy.
Since it's not a sorcery trait well-suited for combat, she stores away magical energy in jewels ahead of time, and uses them as disposable, limited-function mystic codes.
Aside from that, she also practices pseudo-karate as a form of self-defense.
Her instructor in martial arts is Kotomine. That fake priest was responsible for the sequence of moves she used to corner Caster.
By the way, she had the most screen time out of every character in Fate/stay night.

遠坂凜【人名】
魔道の名門・遠坂の現当主。
本編の正ヒロイン。マスターの一人として、士郎といがみあったり協力したりする忙しい女の子。
何かと攻撃的で人を突き放す口調だが、根は姐御肌で面倒見がいい。
ここぞという時に凡ミスをかますのは、もはや遺伝的な呪いである。
冷酷なようで優しいのだが、最後には合理的な道を選ぶ、本人曰く“可愛くない性格”。
どうも、自分は「女の子」としての部分が欠落している、と思っている節があり、密かにコンプレックス になっている。
あの私服はその反動なのだろうが、それにしても脚を見せすぎで、健全な男子は目のやり場に困るのではないだろうか? 耐えろ士郎。
趣味は宝石鑑賞と士郎いじり。根がいたずらっ子なので、真面目なヤツをからかうのが大好きなのだ。もっと耐えろ士郎。
得意な魔術は魔力の流動、変換。
実はあまり攻撃には向いていない魔術特性で、その為、宝石に魔力をストックし、使い捨てのお手軽な限 定礼装として使用する。
その他、護身用として空手もどきを噛んでいる。
格闘技の先生は言峰で、キャスターを追い詰めた凜の連続攻撃はあのエセ神父じこみというワケだ。
「Fate」本編で一番出番の多い人物。

Rho Aias[]

Rho Aias [Noble Phantasm]
The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens.
In Greek mythology, the shield used by the hero Aias during the Trojan War.
It was a bronze shield covered by seven layers of ox hide, and the only thing that proved capable of stopping the javelin of the great hero of Troy, Hector. (Though it managed to penetrate six layers of ox hide, the seventh layer was unbroken.)
Afterward, its fame spread, and its existence was eventually sublimed into a "conceptual armament" boasting absolute defensive power against thrown weapons.
It is the only defensive armament Archer can use proficiently.
The Rho Aias that protected Shirou's spellcasting during the finale of the Rin route was not something he projected himself, but was actually made by Archer who was watching the battle from a distance.

ロー・アイアス 【宝具】
“熾天覆う七つの円環”
ギリシャ神話における一大戦争、トロイア戦争において使用された英雄アイアスの盾。
青铜の盾に七枚の牛皮を重ねた盾で、何人たりとも防げなかったという、トロイアの大英雄ヘクトールの投槍を防いだ一品。(このおり、六枚の牛皮を贯かれたが、七枚目で防ぎさった)
以後、投掷兵器に対しては絶対の防御力を誇る“概念武装"として広まり、その存在を昇華した。
アーチャーが唯一得意とする防御用の兵装。
凛ルートラスト、士郎の呪文詠唱を守ったロー·アイアスは、士郎が投影したものではなく、遠くから観戦していたアーチャーが作り上げたもの。

Rule Breaker[]

Rule Breaker.
A dagger that can destroy any sorcery.
It is an anti-sorcery Noble Phantasm, that returns any objects strengthened with magical energy, connections bound by contracts, or life forms created out of magical energy, to a state prior to their "creation".
Of course, there are limits. No matter how low the rank, it is impossible for Rule Breaker to affect a Noble Phantasm.
It is truly a Noble Phantasm befitting Caster, and was used to capture and monopolize Saber.
An unassumingly fearsome Noble Phantasm.

破戒すべき全ての符【宝具】
ルール・プレイカー。
あらゆる魔術を破戒する短刀。
魔力で強化された物体、契約によって繋がった関係、 魔力によって生み出された生命を“作られる前”の状態に戻す究極の対魔術宝具。
が、限界は当然あり、どれほど低ランクであろうと宝具を初期化する事はできない。
キャスターらしい宝具で、もっぱらセイパーを攻略するのに使われた。
さりげに物淒い宝具。

Ryuudou Temple[]

Ryuudou Temple [Others]
A mountain temple on the outskirts of Miyama.
As the name suggests, it functions as the keystone of Fuyuki's leylines, and can be said to be the very heart of the city.
The temple's mountainside lake is an official Holy Grail summoning site, and beneath it lies an enormous cavern.
Incidentally, the giant cave-in after the epilogue of the Sakura Route took several years to recover from.
...The primary reason for the cavern's collapse was not the disappearance of Angra Mainyu, but rather Rin's rampaging to her heart's content.
It's just as you thought, Issei.
To recognize Rin as an enemy of Buddhism, you truly are worthy of being Ryuudou Temple's successor.

柳洞寺【その他】
深山町の外れにある山寺。
その名の通り、龍脈に対する要石としての役割を持ち、冬木市にとって心臓とも言える場所。
その地下には一大空洞があり、中腹にある柳洞寺の池は、表向きの聖杯召喚場所となっている。
ちなみに、桜ルートのエピローグ後に大陥没し、復興に数年を要した。
……大空洞の崩壊、その最大の理由はアンリマユの消滅ではなく、凜がやりたい放題暴れ回ったせい。
さすが一成。
凜を仏敵と見なしていたあたり、柳洞 寺後継ぎに相応しい。

Saber[]

Saber [Servant]
Heroic Spirit of the sword. One could not qualify for this Class if all his parameters except MGI did not meet a certain threshold.
The true heroine of this story. She was the young girl knight who forged a contract with Emiya Shirou and fought in the Holy Grail War.
She was loyal, faithful, and diligent. The knight's pride covered her femininity.
If we were to remove this facade, then we could recognize that she was no different from a young girl her age.
Saber was peevish and tenacious. She loved games of chance and would focus to the extent of ignoring her surroundings. Saber loved to eat and would be energized by the prospect of having good food. She worried about being defeated in front of her favorite partner. Mmm, Saber was truly a fastidious heroine.
Her true identity was King Arthur.
She disguised herself as male and ruled as the king, but had the misfortune of dying in the subsequent civil war after establishing peace in her empire.
The King Arthur in the story of Fate was an amalgamation of historical facts and legends. Saber's name before becoming king was Artoria.
It must be tough to live in a palace while disguising her gender.
The greatest problem was probably producing an heir, but that was solved by Merlin through magecraft.
In the story, the line "I know how to please a man" was from experience.
Saber's aging process was halted the moment she pulled out the Sword of Selection. The age of her body was probably a year younger than Shirou.
By the way, King Arthur was the Crimson Dragon that guarded Britannia.
Saber's father Uther Pendragon produced an heir with the Dragon Factor according to Merlin's plan. As a result, Artoria was born human but carried the magical power of Dragons.
Magic Circuits were unnecessary, Artoria generated mana just by breathing in harmony with the coursing of her blood. It could be called a "Magical Furnace" that was worlds beyond what mages had to offer.
---Fate/Stay Night was originally her story.
The main theme during early development of Fate was "a story about the Holy Grail and King Arthur", and it had remained unchanged until now.
A young girl knight fighting in the Holy Grail War.
I wanted to believe that the dream at the very end would befit her life.

セイバー【サーヴアント】
剣士の英霊。 魔力を除いた能力値が水準以上でなければ该当しないサーヴァントタイプ。
本騙の正ヒロイン。衛宮士郎と契約し、聖杯戦争を戦い抜いていく少女騎士。
実直かっとことん真面目な性格で、少女らしさを騎士としての誇りで覆っている。
が、一皮剥けば年相応の少女らしい一面を見せる。
拗ねると中々許してくれなかったり、勝負事には熱中するあまり周りが見えなくなったり、美味しいものが大好きという元気溌刺さだったり、好きな相手の前では失敗したくない臆病さがあったり、実に気難しいヒロインである、うむ。
正体はアーサー王。
性别を男と偽って王を続け、祖国に平和を取り戻し た後、内乱によって命を落とす運命を持っている。
「Fate」本騙でのアーサー王の扱いは史実と伝説を融合したもので、彼女が王になる前の名をアルトリアとしている。
性别を偽つての王宮生活は気苦労の連続であったろう。なかでも困ったのが世継ぎの問題だが、マーリンの魔術で事なきを得られたそうだ。本騙での、「殿方の喜ばせ方は知っています」という台詞は、実経験から来たものだったり。
選定の剣を抜いた時から年をとっておらず、肉体年齢的には土郎より一才ほど下だとか。
また、アーサー王はブリテンを守る赤い竜である。
父王ウーサー・ぺンドラゴンはマーリンの計らいで竜の因子を持った後継者を作り、アルトリアは人でありながら竜そのものの魔力を帯びるに至った。
魔術回路を必要とせず、ただ血液を巡らせ息をするだけで魔力を生成するアルトリアは、魔術師たちとは次元の違う「魔術炉心」と言えるだろう。
————「Fate」は元々彼女の物語である。
聖杯とアーサー王を巡る物語が初期段階における「Fate」のメインテーマであり、それは今も変わっていない。
聖杯戦争を駆け抜けた少女騎士。
その果てに見た夢は、彼女の一生に相応しいものだったと信じたい。

Sakura Matou[]

Sakura Matou [Person's name]
One of the main heroines of Fate/stay night.
With her long, lustrous hair, soothing smile, and (secretly) dynamite body, by all rights she should be the star heroine. Too bad she's an unfortunate girl who just sort of fades into the scenery.
The heroine who symbolizes a peaceful daily life… or so it would seem at first. Perhaps due to some mistake, she actually suffers the most out of anyone in every route.
Of course, that's only natural, seeing as how her initial concept was an "Asagami Fujino type". She never had a chance at avoiding bloodshed.
As Shirou's junior by one year, the path to their first meeting was relatively convoluted. Four years ago, sometime around April, Sakura saw Shirou persistently attempting the high jump. Then, later that same year they actually met for the first time when Shirou came over to the Matou residence. From that point on she worked hard to greet Shirou every time he came over, until finally a year and a half ago she started going over to the Emiya residence herself to help him out.
Afterward, she gradually grew accustomed to the Emiya residence, and due to Fuji-nee's influence became a more cheerful, energetic Matou Sakura.
She has a quiet personality, and all things considered is exceptionally patient and persevering.
Basically, she is a worrisome girl that never resents others (not even Shinji or Zouken), and always blames herself for everything.
The solitary exception to this rule is Rin, because the two of them are so similar. I guess she's only capable of being honest with herself, or someone almost exactly like herself, yeah.
As everybody knows, she seems passive, but when she does do something she devotes herself to it completely.
She's the girl in the story most suited to using seduction to get what she wants.
Though she's always exuding an obvious aura of "senpai-adoration", it's hard to say if the all-important object of her affection, Shirou, has actually noticed or not.
A devilish woman with a strong maternal instinct, she'll pamper a man to the bitter end and ruin him with her charms. But, just like Hariti…
The most popular among the staff, maybe.
"A heroine at the end of her rope" "A somehow distorted heroine" "A heroine that loves her big brother" …and so on. She can count on the fanatic vote, right?

間桐桜【人名】
本編の正ヒロイン。
瑞々しい長髪と癒し係の笑顔、ひそかにヒロイン中最高のプロポーションを持つ、まさに真打ちヒロイン。でもやっぱり目立たない不遇の娘。
穏やかな日常を象徴するヒロイン……なのだが。何を間違ったか、全ルート中もっとも悲惨な目にあった人。
それも当然、初期コンセプトは「浅上藤乃タイプ」。これで血を見ないワケがない。
士郎の一才年下の後輩で、かなり複雑な出会いをしている。
四年前の四月頃に高飛びをしている士郎を目撃、同年間桐邸に遊びにきた士郎と対面で、士郎が間桐邸に遊びに来た時だけがんばって挨拶して、一年半前に衛宮邸のお手伝いに通い始めた。
以後は段々と衛官邸に慣れていき、藤ねえに影響され、明るく元気な間桐桜になったワケである。
大人しい性格で、とにかく我慢強い。
基本的に誰かを恨む、という事はなく、自責ばかり溜めていく困ったちゃん。
慎二クンも臓硯のダンナも恨まなかったクセに、凜だけに反応していたのは、彼女が自分に最も近い存在 だから。自分、ないし自分に近いモノには素直になるようです、ハイ。
皆さんご存知の通り、受け身に見えてやる時はとことんやる、本編中もっとも色仕掛けの似合う女の子。
常に先輩大好きオーラを纏っているが、肝心の士郎は気付いているんだか気付いていないんだか。
母性本能が強く、とことん甘えさせてくれる魔性の女。甘い蜜で男をダメにするぞ。けど鬼子母神って知つてるかー。
スタッフ内ではトップ人気?
“追い詰められてるヒロイン”“どこか歪んだヒロイン”“お兄ちゃん大好き(はあと)”等.マニアックな方々から支持を得ていますよ?

Scrapped Routes[]

Scrapped Routes [Others]
Literally, the scrapped ideas about route.
"FATE" was, originally, planned to have 4 heroines with 4 routes.
The first part would be temporarily playing either Saber or Rin, the two would meet at the middle part, and the last part would proceed into 4 routes...... or like so, it was made into a very confusing plot.
The first of the scrapped routes was, the well-known Ilya route.
The Caster route has completely extinguished, but the plot regarding a cooperation with Rider is continued in a portion of the actual game.
If there was the Ilya route, there would have been a choice in the 9th day of Sakura route which would have chosen to be not the hero of justice, nor Sakura's hero, but Ilya's hero. Unfortunately, the possibility has disappeared in the actual game.

没ルート 【その他】
その名の通り、没になったルート案。
「Fate」は初め、四ヒロイン分の四ルートとして考えられていた。
前半まで士郎と凛のどちらかを任意でプレイ、中盤に達した時点で二人が出会い、その後の後半戦を四ルートに分けて行う......という、なんだかよく分からないプロットをしていたのである。
没になったルートの筆頭は、ご存知イリヤルー卜。
その他、凛&セイバーコンビと戦うライダールート、 キャスターをロリっ娘にしてパートナーにしようというキャスタールートがあった。
キャスタールートは完全に消滅したが、ライダーと協力する展開は、一部本騙で受け継がれている。
イリヤルートがあるとしたら、桜ルート九日目で正義の味方でもなく桜の味方でもなく、イリヤの味方を選ぶコトで分岐するのたろう。
残念ながら、本騙でその可能性は途絶えてしまったのだが。

Servant[]

Servant [Magecraft]
The Heroic Spirits summoned by the Holy Grail. They fell under the "Familiar" classification.
Seven Classes (only) were designated in advance. They were souls of the greatest purity called forth by using relics tied to the specific Heroic Spirits.
Originally they were not existences that could be controlled by mere humans, but they were forced to cooperate with the Masters due to the Command Spells. These Command Spells represented Masters' right to rule. For Servants, obedience towards the Command Spells were "the absolute condition required for materialization".
Servants could revert to Spiritual Form at any time. While in Spiritual Form, they could pass through inorganic matters that lack mana.
During Lancer's surprise drop attack from the ceilings at the Emiya residence, he phased through the roof and entered the living room. He then materialized after clearing the ceiling.
While in Spiritual Form, Servants were not affected by physical interference. However, their abilities to affect the material world decreased. As a result, it was considered advantageous to materialize during combat.

サーヴァント【魔術】
聖杯によって召喚された英霊たち。分類的には使い魔になる。
予め七つのクラス(筐)を用意し、英霊を繋ぎ止める依り代を利用して呼び出される最高純度の魂。
本来人間に御しえるモノではないが、召喚される時に刻まれる『現界のための絶対条件』として命令権を背負わされる為、マスターとは協力関係を余儀なくされる。
任意で霊体になる事も可能で、霊体時はマナの薄い無機物をすり抜ける事も可能。
衛宮邸を奇襲したランサーが天井から降ってきたのは、屋根から居間へすり抜け、居間の天井あたりで実体化した為。
霊体のままなら通常干渉を受け付けないが、現世への干渉力が落ちるため、戦闘時は実体化していた方が有利とされる。

Shinji Matou[]

Shinji Matou [Person's name]
Shirou's friend. Sakura's older brother.
As Rider's Master, Shirou comes into conflict with him on numerous occasions.
Though he is selfish and has the bad habit of looking down on other people, he is virtuous in his own way, and while he may be warped he is not actually a bad person.
He values rules (but he doesn't follow them himself), he hates injustice (if he's not the one responsible), and he is kind to women (excepting "his" women, of course). As you can see, he's clearly a pretty cool guy.
Due to the gap between his "ideal world" and the world he actually lives in, his personality has become warped, but when Shirou first made his acquaintance four years ago he wasn't nearly as bad as he is now.
As you might expect, he stumbled across Shirou doing menial tasks for people free of charge, and despite (seriously) deriding him as an idiot from behind his back, he hung around with him until he was done. At the end of the day, Shinji laughed as if he was having a good time, and exclaimed, "You may be an idiot, but you sure do good work, at least!"
Perhaps Shirou appreciated Shinji's honesty despite his foul mouth, because afterward they became friends.
Though Shinji often made fun of him, in the shadows he socially assassinated anybody that took advantage of Shirou, and frequently invited him over to his house to hang out. It seems they really were close.
However, as you know, for a temperamental genius like Shinji even a friend of many years is not safe from suddenly becoming his enemy for incomprehensible reasons.
Basically, he's the kind of person that's reliable when he's on your side but ends up being really troublesome if he turns on you.
Originally there was going to be an option to accept his invitation to join forces in the Saber route, but tragically we ran out of time and were forced to cut it.
Ah, if we'd included that route (let's call it the "Shinji route"), players would have gotten to see a bit of Shinji's good side, but there was just no way. Please, find it in your hearts to forgive us!

間桐慎二【人名】
士郎の友人。間桐桜の兄。
ライダーのマスターで、幾度となく衝突する事になる。
自己中心的で他人を見下す悪癖があるが、彼には彼なりに一本筋が入っており、歪んではいるが悪人では ないという困ったちゃん。
規律を重んじ(自分はあまり守らないが)、不公平を嫌い(自分に関しては度外視だが)、女の子には優 しい(自分のものになった女の子は例外だが)、という、なるほど確かに学園で一、二を争ういい男である。
自分が理想とする世界と、自分がいる世界とのギャップが間桐慎二という性格を歪めてしまったワケだが、 士郎と知り合った頃はここまで歪んではいなかった。
士郎と知り合いになったのは四年前。
やはり土郎が無償で雑用をこなしていた所に出くわし、「おまえ馬鹿だろ」と士郎の後ろで(本気で)けなしながらも最後まで付き合い、「おまえ馬鹿だけど、いい仕事するじゃん」と楽しそうに笑ったとか。
口は悪いが正直者な慎二に、士郎も思うところがあったのか。以後は親しい友人として付き合っていく。
慎二クンも士郎を何かと馬鹿にしていたが、その影 では士郎をいいように使う連中を社会的に抹殺したり、 頻繁に間桐邸に招待したりと、中々の親友っぷりだっ た。
が、ご存知の通り気難しい天才肌の人間なので、友人として何年付き合おうが、ワケの分からない理由で 唐突に敵に回ってしまう。
味方でいるうちは頼もしいが、敵に回すと厄介な人 の典型。
セイパールートの、「僕と手を組まない?」という 慎二クンの誘いに乗る分岐も予定されていたが、時間 切れであえなくアウト。
ああ、あのルート(仮に慎二ルートと名づける)が あれば、慎二クンのいいところが少しは見れたのかも しれませんがもうポクラはいっぱいいっぱいなので勘 弁してください。

Shirou Emiya[]

The protagonist of the story, that went without saying.
A hardworking man, loved things like cooking, cleaning and stitching.
He denied "putting others before himself", however that was obviously self-deception. His goal was to be a house-husband.
However, his butler-spirit had already awakened. After the True End of Rin route, he was working part-time at the mansion of Rin's rival. What the heck is this?
At the finale, he was still half-baked as a magus, but he had made immense progress as a spellcaster.

衛宮士郎 【人名】
いわずもがな、本騙の主人公である。
マメな男で、料理とか扫除とか裁缝とか大好き。
本人は「自分がやるしかないから」と否定するが、明らかに誤魔化しである。 目指せ家政夫。
その持ち前の執事魂を発挥し、凛ルートトゥルーエンド後では、凛のライバルの洋館でアルバイトをする事に。 なんだそりゃ。
魔術師としては最期まで半人前だが、魔術使いとしては大成する

Shirou's Room[]

The mansion suited the man moving in, having never been glamorous.
It accommodated Fuji-nee's littering habits well, but it seemed that Shirou cleaned up every time and put the junk away in the storehouse.
It felt pretty luxurious for a student in some way.

士郎の部屋【その他】
言わずとも無し、主人公である士郎の部屋。
どこかの洋館に引っ越した男よろしく、見事なまでになんにもない。
よく藤ねえがガラクタを落としていくのだが、その度に土蔵に片付けているようだ。
どことなく書生さんチック。

Sir Bedivere[]

Sir Bedivere [Person's name].
The knight who tended the final moments of King Arthur.
He was the last remaining knight who returned the holy sword back to the lake according to the King's orders.
Lancelot, Percival, Galahad were some of the popular knights of King Arthur's who embarked on the quest for the Holy Grail, but they were actually junior knights who joined later for the quest.
The earliest and most famous knights who swore allegiance to King Arthur included Ser Kay, Ser Gawain, and Ser Bedivere. They had histories even older than King Arthur's.
Ser Bedivere's name was thought to be derived from the ancient War God of the Celts, Bedwyr.
By the way, Ser Bedivere was not aware that Artoria was a girl.

サー・ベディヴィエール【人名】
アーサー王の最期を看取った騎士。
王の命に従い、聖剣を湖に返却した最後の騎士。
アーサー王の騎士と言えば聖杯探索のランスロット、パーシヴァル、ガラハットが頭に浮かぶが、彼らはもともと聖杯探索の為に用意された新騎士である。
アーサー王より古い歴史を持ち、アーサー王に従う 最古参の騎士で最も有名なのがサー・ケイ、サー・ガウェイン、そしてこのサー・ベディヴィエールである。
ケルトの古い戦神ベドウィールがモデルとされる。
関係ないのであるが、サーはアルトリアが女の子だと気付いておりませんでしたとサー。

Souichirou Kuzuki[]

Souichirou Kuzuki [Person's name]
A teacher at the school which Shirou and gang enrolled. He taught social studies and ethics.
Kuzuki was the Master of Caster, but he was a regular man rather than a magus.
A mysterious man who suddenly appeared in Fuyuki City two years ago.
He was well-liked by the chief priest at the Ryuudou Temple and was granted residency in the temple.
He described himself as a "decayed killer", and true to his words, he did commit murder in the past.
Kuzuki's fighting technique was not something granted by Caster, but his own skills entirely.
Just like Caster appreciated Kuzuki, Kuzuki found something in Caster.
The reason which drove this husk of a man to fight, in a sense, was similar to that which drove Emiya Shirou.
He was a member of an assassination organization similar to the Nanayas in Tsukihime.
If there is a sequel, Kuzuki is number one on the list of characters I want to further explore.

葛木宗一郎【人名】
士郎たちが通う学校の教師。現代社会と倫理を受け持っている。
キャスターのマスターだが、魔術師でもなんでもない一般人である。
二年ほど前、ふらりと冬木市にやってきた謎の人物。
柳洞寺の住職に気に入られ、以後、住職の厚意で柳洞寺に住むようになった。
自らを「朽ち果てた殺人鬼」と言っていたように、 過去に殺人を犯している。
葛木の格闘スキルはキャスターに授けられた物ではなく、あくまで葛木自身の能力である。
キャスターが葛木に好意をもっていたように、葛木もキャスターに意味を見出していた。
生きる屍たったこの男を戦わせた理由は、ある意味、 主人公である衛宮士郎に類似している。
月姫で言うところの七夜と似たような集団の一員であったらしい。
次があるならなんとか補完したい人物ナンバーワン。

Stray Servant[]

Stray Servant [Others]
A heroine candidate that vanished without a trace during the plotting stage.
She was conceived of as an "abandoned puppy" type heroine, who killed her Master and went on a rampage.
As a Servant of the shield, she was going to be a rival to Saber, the Servant of the sword, but…
Just like Gilgamesh, she would have been a Servant that had remained behind after the previous Grail War.
Unfortunately, though, she had to be cut for the sake of keeping things manageable for the player.
After all, around this point, the plot itself was starting to stray. Not only Rider, but even Caster was a potential heroine candidate. It was terrifyingly chaotic.
Hmm? Fuji-nee? I don't know what you're talking about, Fuji-nee never had a main route even during the plotting stage.

はぐれサーヴァント【その他】
プロット段階で消えたヒロイン候補。
マスターを殺して暴走している“捨てられた子犬係" のヒロインとして予定されていた。
盾のサーヴァントで、セイパーのライバルになる予 定だったのだが???いつのまにか消えていた子である。
ギルガメッシュと同様、前回から残っているサーヴァ ントとして考えられていたが、
とれ以上登場人物を増やしてプレイヤーを混乱させてもよろしくない、とカットされた。
この頃はプロットも迷走しており、ライダーはおろかキャスターさえヒロイン候補だった、という恐ろしいカオスっぷりだったのだ。
藤ねえ?藤ねえにはプロット段階からメインルートなんてねえよ。

Taiga Fujimura[]

Taiga Fujimura [Person's name]
Fuji-nee.
A mysterious woman who hangs around the Emiya residence. Well, really she's just an English teacher. Her primary goal in life is to kick back and take it easy at Shirou's house.
She hates the fact that her name is Taiga, and if you call her Tiger she'll get mad. And cry.
Her personality is like the sun, but her self-indulgent tendencies make me worry about her prospects for the future…
In Sakura's true end, everybody else has grown up and matured, but Fuji-nee is the same as ever. In fact, I suspect she hasn't aged a day since twenty.
She was a famed swordswoman in her student days, and was the kendo club's idol. Also, she has been frequently visiting the Emiya residence ever since Emiya Kiritsugu moved in.
It seems that for her, meeting Kiritsugu was something like love at first sight, and she would always end up quarrelling with Shirou when she came over. Eventually, though, they made up, and settled into their current relationship.
A character loved by the entire staff. During the plotting stage, she was more of a proper older sister type.…Weird, it's weird. What kind of terrible blunder is responsible for turning her into her current form…?

藤村大河【人名】
藤ねえ。
衛官邸に人り浸る謎の女性。正体は英語の教師。おもな目的は士郎の家でまったりするコト。
大河、という名前を嫌っており、タイガーと呼ばれると怒る。そして泣く。
お日様みたいな性格なのだが、その自堕落ぷりから将来が危ぶまれるお方です。
桜ルートトゥルーエンドにおいて、周りがみんな成長してるのに藤ねえだけ相変わらず。
おそらく、二十歳から歳をとっていないと思われる。
学生時代は名を馳せた剣士で、剣道部のアイドルだったとか。
衛宮切嗣が坂の上の屋敷を買い取ってから、頻繁に衛宮邸に通いだす。
どうも切嗣に一目惚れしたっぽく、何度も遊びにいっては士郎と衝突。そのうち和解して、今の関係になる訳である。
スタッフのみんなに愛されたキャラクターで、プロット段階ではもっとちゃんとしたお姉さんだった。……へンだぞ、どんな間違いでこんな人になったんだ……?
カットは学生時代のもの。

Taxi![]

An extraordinarily generous taxi service.
Indispensable for getting to the Einzbern Forest, but after you get dropped off, the only way back to town is walking. Ugh.
Of course, if you ask me there's something seriously wrong with a taxi that doesn't have any problems taking students out into the woods in the middle of the night.
By the way, when Kotomine arranged for a car and driver in the Sakura route, he didn't go through the Association or the Church, but rather used his own personal network of connections.
In the plotting stage, the same conversation occurred after agreeing to cooperate with Kotomine:

"So how are you going to help me?"
"Hm. Our method of transportation, to start out with."

However, after that the screen would black out, and a deep rumbling sound effect would play as Kotomine pulled up on a Harley!
…Well, it's true that I might have gotten excited and written something like that down at one point, but eventually I regained my composure and the scene took on its current form.
At any rate, the trunk of the car was fully loaded with dangerous weapons, up to and including submachine guns. Pe-Pe-Sha!

タクシー!【その他】
何かとお世話になるタクシー。
アインツベルンの森に行く時には欠かせない。
帰りは当然徒歩である。うう。
深夜の三時過ぎ、一人で森に向かう学生を不審に思 わないあたり問題ありまくると思う。
言峰が用意したハイヤーは魔術協会、聖堂教会の手 によるものではなく、言峰個人のネットワーク。
プロット段階では、言峰の協力を承諾したあと、

「————で。力になるって、なにをするんだよ」
「————ふむ。さしあたっては足だな」

なんて台詞のあと、画面暗転。
どるるどるるという効果音と共に、ハーレーに乗った言峰がつー !
……なんてテキストだったのですが、ふと冷静に返って現在の形になりましたとさ。
言峰カーのトランクには物騒な武器が満載で、さり げにサブマシンガンまで収納されていた。ベーベーシャー!!

The crimson cloak[]

The clothes that symbolized Archer.
They were actually first grade Conceptual Weapons.
Made from the burial cloth of a saint, they offered protection against the external world rather than enemies.

赤い外套【武装】
外套とはマントの事。
アーチャーを象徴する服装で、
実は一級品の概念武装だったりする。
外敵に対する守りではなく外界に対する守りで、ある聖人の聖骸布で作られているとか。

The Einzbern Forest[]

The Einzbern Forest [Others]
The wide expanse of forest in the suburbs of Fuyuki City. It was more an undeveloped mountain range rather than a forest.
It took about an hour by car to get there from Miyama Town.
The Einzbern Forest contained an enormous boundary field. If one did not cut his presence or mana, he would be easily detected by Ilya.
Ilya's homebase --- the Einzbern Castle---- was located in the middle of this forest.

アインツベルンの森【その他】
冬木市郊外に広がる森。というより、未開拓の山々である。
深山町からタクシーで一時間ほどで到着する。
中は巨大な結界で、気配と魔力を遮断できない限り、 容易くイリヤに探知されてしまう。
イリヤの根城、アインツベルン城はこの森の中心に 建っている。

The Holy Church[]

The Holy Church [Others]
The other side of an ubiquitous major religion.
They preached the Lord's teachings, and did not tolerate anything that violated their dogma.
On the surface, they assumed "heresies" did not exist, but there were zealots amongst them who wished to ostracize the heretics.
Thus the "Heretic Hunters" were born and specialized, becoming an enormous department within the Holy Church.
They were the Executors. Their missions included Demon-slaying, elimination of heretics, and proper regulation of Mysteries that fell into the hands of the populace.
Of course, the Holy Church's relationship with the Mages' Association, whose mission was to conceal magecraft, was very poor. The two groups had crossed blades numerous times to date. (Currently there is a truce, providing a temporary respite.)
Against their greatest foe, the monsters known as vampires (READ: Blood Suckers), the Mages' Association occasionally provided assistance.
Kotomine was responsible for the control and collection of relics. He had the role of an Executor of the Assembly of the Eighth Sacrament.
The arms forces of the Holy Church consisted of the excellent fighters known as Executors, the Knights that each church held reserve, and the monsters known as the Burial Agency hidden within the headquarter of the Holy Church.
The Holy Church was the largest organization in the world of Fate. For those who fell outside of humanity, the Holy Church was the greatest enemy.

聖堂教会【その他】
“普遍的な”意味を持つ一大宗教の裏側。
神の教えを説く彼らは、その教義に反したモノたちを認めていない。“異端”という存在を表向きでは無いものとして扱うが、中には熱狂的に排斥しようとする者たちがいた。
その『異端狩り』が特化し、巨大な部門となったものを聖堂教会と呼ぶ。
彼らは代行者と呼ばれる悪魔退治を擁し、全ての異 端を消し去り、人の手にあまる神秘を正しく管理する為だけに機能する。
当然、魔術を隠匿する魔術協会とは折り合いが悪く、今まで幾度となく刃を交えてきた。(現在は協定が結ばれ、仮初めの平穏を一謳っている)
もっとも、彼らにとって最大の敵は『吸血種』と呼ばれる怪物たちであり、魔術協会とは時に協力し合う間柄でもある。
言峰は聖遺物の管理・回収を任務とする第八秘蹟会に席を置いていた代行者。
卓越した戦闘者である代行者、各教会が保有する騎士団、そして聖堂教会本部が隠し持つ埋葬機関と呼ばれる怪物たち。
聖堂教会は「Fate」世界において最大の組織であり、人間の範疇から外れてしまった者たちにとって、最大の敵として君騙している。

The Mage's Association[]

The Mage's Association [Organization name]
An organization created to protect those who seek to learn sorcery, regardless of nationality or field of study. (On paper, anyway.)
Their mission is the management, concealment, and advancement of sorcery.
In order to protect themselves from that which would threaten them (be it the Church, rival organizations of magi, or the monstrosities that punish humans who break taboos), they accumulated military might.
In order to further the advancement (degeneration) of sorcery, they built research facilities.
And, in order to deter crimes committed with sorcery, they created laws.
Their headquarters is located in London, and goes by the unofficial name of "The Clock Tower".
It seems that in the beginning the Association was divided into three great branches, including the original associations that predate the Clock Tower. That is, the "Giant's Pit" of Egypt, and a cluster of associations based in northern Europe called the "Sea of Estray". However, ever since the Clock Tower became the headquarters, mingling between the branches has been on the decline.
Also, they are fundamentally incompatible with the sorcery foundation of the Middle East and the ideological sorcery of mainland China, and the three groups are currently feigning nonaggression.

魔術協会【組織名】
国籍・ジャンルを問わず、魔術を学ぶ者たちによって作られた自衛団体。(無論、名目上ではある)
魔術を管理し、隠匿し、その発展を使命とする。
自らを脅かすモノたち(教会、自分たち以外の魔術団体、禁忌に触れる人間を罚する怪異)から身を守る為に武力を持ち、
魔術の更なる発展(衰退ともいう)の為、研究機関を持ち、魔術による犯罪を抑止する為の法律を敷く。
本部はイギリスのロンドンにあり、“時計塔”の異名を持つ。
始まりは三大の部門に分かれていたらしく、エジプトの“巨人の穴仓”,北欧に根を張る複合協会“访律海”と呼ばれる原協会もあるが、時計塔が本部になってからは交流が廃れる一方だとか。
また、中东圏の魔術基盤、大陸の思想魔術とは相容れず、互いに不可侵を装っている。

The King's Way of Speech[]

The way Gilgamesh worded his speech. Even though Gilgamesh referred to himself using the pronoun "ore", the word was written as "ware".
Nothing was greater than him. When Gilgamesh was being dragged into the Holy Grail, Shirou had a taste of the King's verbal abuse, but even then, he did not lose.
By the way, Gilgamesh would get angry even if you simply try to strike a conversation with him.
His thoughts would be something like "A plebeian dares to speak with the King? Such insolence!"

Tiger Dojo [Others]
A no-questions-asked Q&A corner that accompanies dead ends. Of course, since it only gives vague hints, it's not as helpful as it might seem.
There are forty episodes in total, with an overarching plot that runs from start to finish.
Even just two months before the game went gold the scenario director, art director, and chief director were conspiring to cram in more and more content. At one point there were plans to change the title card every single episode, add animations, and give Illya forty different outfits. In the end, though, they realized that if they had the time and resources to do all that they should probably spend it polishing the main game instead, and so the Tiger Dojo took on its current form.
The fact that it ended up being so lively and amusing even after being scaled back was mostly due to the chief director's efforts.
By the way, the bonus Tiger Mini-Theaters were actually supposed to be part of the main Tiger Dojo story at first.
Ah, now that I'm thinking about it, there's something nice about text-window type visual novels, don't you think? Let's make one of those next time!

タイガー道場【その他】
デッドエンドの友、問答無用のQ&Aコーナー。
一応ヒントらしきものを教えてくれるので助かりそうで助からない。
全四十回もの長期連載で、一話から最終話まで、それなりに流れがあるようですよ?
マスターアップ二ヶ月前までは毎回タイトルインを変えようとか、アニメを入れようとか、イリヤは四十種類の服替えをさせようとか、シナリオ担当と原画担当と演出担当の問たけで悪巧みが進行していたが、そんな余裕っていうか、余力があるなら本編をクオリティアップすべきでは?と気がつき、現在の形に落ち着いた。
それでも演出担当によるおもしろ演出は健在。
おまけで作られたタイガーミニ劇場は、当初タイガー道場本編の一部として作られたものである。
ああ、テキストウインドウタイプのノベルゲームもいいなあ。
次回作はこんな感じで!

Some of you may have noticed, but those stripes are without a doubt tiger stripes.
At first we were going to have Fuji-nee wear normal clothes at school and casual clothes at home, but before we knew it she was rocking the tiger stripes nonstop.
It seems Fuji-nee harbors complex feelings toward tigers, which were revealed in the Tiger Dojo Special.

虎模様【その他】
藤ねえの服のガラ。
お気づきの方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、あの縞々はまごうことなき虎模様。
当初、藤ねえは学校では普通の服、衛官邸にいるとなぜか虎ガラになっている、というおかしな設定があったのですが、いつのまにか終始フルパワー時の虎模様になっておりました。
藤ねえが虎という生き物をどう思っているかは、タイガー道場SPにて明らかになっています。

True Assassin[]

True Assassin [Servant]
The real Heroic Spirit of assassination.
He was summoned by Matou Zouken, materialized using the flesh of Sasaki Kojirou.
Bearing a white skull mask and black cloak, he was the classical assassin.
An unremarkable Servant in terms of abilities, but highly utilitarian. In contrast with his disturbing appearance, he was very loyal. He accepted the authority of his master and would never betray him.
Strictly speaking, True Assassin was merely a member of a group of Wraiths (Heroic Spirit candidates) who bore the name "Assassin", thus his abilities were intrinsically low. In order to compensate for this disadvantage, he modified his body. As a result, he was able to rival other Servants.
There was no face under the mask. The skin and nose were shaven off. He inherited the seat of the Old Man of the Mountain as a "nobody".
He lacked intelligence after materialization, but that was remedied dramatically after acquiring Lancer's heart. Since then, he was also influenced by Lancer's personality.
By the way, True Assassin was particularly attached to his Dirks. He would carefully pick all of them up after each battle.

真アサシン【サーヴァント】
真の暗殺者の英霊。
問桐臓硯によって召喚され、佐々木小次郎の肉体を利用して現界する。
白い髑髏面と黒いローブという、ステレオタイプの暗殺者。
能力的にはパッとしないが、使い勝手のいいサーヴァント。不気味な外見の割には忠義に厚く、主と認めた人物は決して裏切らない。
もとから“アサシン” という名称で群をなす亡霊(英霊候補)なので、能力そのものは低い。それを補う為に自身の肉体を改造し、他のサーヴァントたちに対抗している。
仮面の下の素顔は無い。皮と鼻を殺ぎ落とし、“誰でもなくなる”事によって、山の主の座を受け継ぐのだ。
現界時は知性が乏しかったが、ランサーの心臓を得る事で飛躍的にパワーアップ。以後、ランサーの人格に影響を受けていた。
ちなみに使用していたダークに愛着があるのか、戦闘後はきちんと拾って帰ります。

Unlimited Blade Works
Though it is treated as a Noble Phantasm, technically speaking it is a type of sorcery called a reality marble.
Within this reality marble exists all the ingredients needed for the creation of swords. So long as Archer has seen the original, he is able to easily replicate it.
However, the replicated weapon has its rank reduced by one.
Replication of defensive armaments is also possible, but it requires two to three times more magical energy than a normal projection.
Once an armament has been replicated, it is registered inside the boundary field and can be manufactured with projection sorcery even without expanding the reality marble.
Against a normal opponent this is little more than a somewhat troublesome ability, but it is the natural enemy of a certain King of Heroes.

無限の剣製【宝具、魔術】
アンリミテッドブレイドワークス
宝具扱いだが、正確には固有結界と呼ばれる魔術である。
この固有結界には全ての剣を形成する要素があり、オリジナルを見た事があれば容易く複製する事が可能。
ただし、複製した武器はランクが一つ下がる。
防具も可能だが、その場合は通常投影の二倍〜三倍の魔力を必要とする。
一度複製した武具は結界内に登録され、固有結界を起動させずとも、投影魔術として作り出せる。
通常の相手には多少厄介な能力にすぎないが、彼の英雄王にとっては正に天敵となる宝具。

Assets that were created, but never used. Primarily refers to character sprites.
I don't know what made us think it would be a good idea, but going into Fate/stay night we had this crazy idea to have a far, middle, and zoom version of every single sprite in the game.
By the time we were finished, we had over 3600 images just counting the character sprites alone. It was totally ridiculous, and there was no way we could possibly use them all. If we had kept them the game would have taken up four whole discs, so we tearfully went through and deleted everything that went unused.
Next time, let's shoot for a little more optimization. I'm thinking a nice, simple game that you can beat in two hours, how's that sound?

未使用【その他】
作ったはいいが、使われるコトのなかった素材のコト。おもに立ち絵を指す。
よせばいいのに、「今回は立ち絵全てに遠距離・中距離・近距離を作ります」なんてコンセプトで始まっ た「Fate」。
完成時には立ち絵だけで3600枚というパカっぷり。もちろん全て使い切るなんてコトはできず、この ままではCD四枚組になってしまうので、使用しない立ち絵は泣く泣く削られたとさ。
次はもっと最適化しようぜみんな。目指せ1プレイ2時間のお手軽ゲー。

The short episode you get by choosing to go see Saber in the dojo at night on the tenth day of the Rin route.
It's a comical dialog that provides a brief glimpse at Saber's profound (and long-held) discontent toward the food she was served in life.
By the way, whether or not their food is actually "wild" in real life comes down to personal tastes, so don't come crying to me about it, okay?

ワイルドワイルドイングランド【その他】
凛ルー卜十日目·夜にセイパーを選ぶと展開される小エピソード。
セイバーの食に対する業の深さと、長年の欝積が垣間見れる楽しい小噺。
ちなみに、実際のあちらさんのお料理がワイルドかどうかは、個人の趣味趣向のお話なのでアテにしないでくださいねー。

The mascot of the girl trio. She was quite personable, patient, and mature.
She was not an honour student, and she looked up to her classmate Tohsaka Rin in awe.
She had several younger brothers of various ages.
Although she lived in poverty, her heart shone brighter than the most lustrous silk.
Consequently, her smile healed those around her, and her rabbit-like awwww-inducing qualities really stirred the protective instinct in people.
Originally she supposed to join the Cooking Club, but she became the manager of the Cross-country Club at Makidera's insistence.
By the way, just like you thought, she was extremely bad at sports.

三枝由紀香【人名】
さえぐさゆきか。2年A組の女生徒。
仲良し三人組のマスコット的人物だが、人間的にいちばん我慢強く大人なひと。
優等生とかは関係なしで、遠坂凛という同級生に憧れている。
歳の離れた弟たちがいっぱいいる。貧しくてもココロは錦。
ほにやっとした笑顔がまわりを癒し、うさぎのようなホワホワ感が保護欲を掻きたてる。
本当は料理同好会に人りたかったのだが、蒔寺に無理やり陸上部のマネージャーにさせられた。
ちなみに、みなさんの予想通り極度の運動オンチです。

The cursed arm, Zabaniya.
The arm of the evil spirit Shaytan, proficient in cursing humans to death.
By using an Ether Lump, Delusional Heartbeat creates a dual existence which can influence the original by generating a mirrored existence of the target.
By destroying the false copy, it curses the target to death without laying a finger on the original.
It is a type of convoluted killing technique, only fitting for assassination.
Even with a suit of armour with a defense of 1000, Delusional Heartbeat grasps the false heart right on top of the armour, and inflicts direct damage to the insides of the target.
This Noble Phantasm almost seems like a trick performed by an illusionist.

妄想心音【宝具、魔術】
呪いの腕、ザパーニーヤ。
悪性の精霊シャイターンの腕であり、人間を呪い殺す事に長けている。
エーテル塊を用いて、鏡に映した殺害対象の反鏡存在から本物と影響しあう二重存在を作成する。
殺害対象と共鳴したその偽者を潰す事で、本物には指一本触れずに殺害対象を呪い殺す。
回りくどい殺害方法だが、暗殺には適している。
たとえ防御カ1000の鎧で身を守ろうが、妄想心音は鎧の上から擬似心臓を掴み上げ、直接内部にダメージを与えるのである。
なんか、見た目奇術師のトリックっぽい宝具。

Their shape is absolutely identical. The black blade is (somehow) the Yang sword Kanshou, and the white is the Yin sword Bakuya. The ore of the white has less of the shine of a polished metal than it has the haze of a cloud. The black one is covered in a hexagonal pattern. As for the practical use, the quality of the grip is more important than the ornamental value. But it's quite big and heavy.
