Erosion: Penetrating Blade of Gold (侵刃黄金, Shinba Ōgon?) is a Mystic Code belonging to Blackmore Cemetery, having been given to them long ago by Morgan le Fay.[1]
Characteristics[]
Erosion is a curved golden dagger. It looks considerably old, and some parts of the metal engravings have been damaged. Perhaps because it was cared for well, or maybe for some other reason, the gold shines as if proud to say it still retains its glory. It cuts through not only flesh, but also the spaces between the body, mind, and the soul.[2]
It possesses the ability to separate the mind and soul from the flesh. It was intended to separate Gray's mind and soul from her body, allowing the spirit of King Arthur to inhabit her body in the final stages of the ritual.[1] When used for sacrifices, Morgan was said to have used this dagger to direct the sacrifice's heart. According to legend it can also turn into a sword or a scythe.[2]

After spending years gaining the trust of the cult at Blackmore Cemetery, Gray's mother Magdalena was entrusted with Erosion by the cult leader, Grandmother.[3][4] But unknown to the cult, rather than wanting to use Erosion to revive King Arthur Magdalena had concocted a plan to save Gray from that fate. She stabbed herself with a dagger so she began to slowly die, and then cut out her own soul and mind with Erosion. The Corpse King - a copy of King Arthur's mind created with Logos React - was then pulled into Magdalena's dying body and died as well.[4]
When the Corpse King's death caused Logos React to malfunction, Gray used Erosion to separate the Corpse King's dead mind from the haywire Mystic Code.[5]

In the Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia anime adaptation, Gilgamesh provides Ritsuka Fujimaru with an unidentified golden dagger from Gate of Babylon. Fujimaru stabs Tiamat with it which allows him to enter her mind.[7]

A Mystic Code in the form of a dagger, passed down in Gray’s hometown.
According to legend, it was handed down to them by the Black Madonna, to be kept until the time of King Arthur’s return. Gray’s mother.
Ten years ago, when Gray suddenly transformed to have the appearance of that past hero, she immediately fell to her knees in worship. Seeing in her a fervor that far surpassed that of the other villagers, and considering her closeness to Gray in general, the leader they referred to as Grandmother entrusted her with the dagger Erosion.
Gray’s desire to have someone dislike her face was greatly influenced by her mother. To see her once loving mother suddenly seem to forget everything and turn to her as an icon of worship must have been a repulsive sight.
As was described in the story, it was all a facade.
In order to prevent her daughter from being overtaken by that past hero, Magdalena fought against the traditions of the village for half of her lifetime. Even if it meant her daughter would hate her, even if her daughter would be consigned to a life of lonely despair, she was prepared to do anything and everything in her power to stop that from happening.
Furthermore, the one who taught her how to interfere with the village’s ritual was Heartless, who was studying it from the outside. In exchange for information that only an insider could possess, he taught her how to break the ritual.
Later, using the results of that research, he attempted to use Faker as a vessel to reincarnate the Divine Spirit of Iskandar.マグダレナ【人名】

十年前、グレイの姿が変化して過去の英雄となったとき、真っ先に膝をついて崇めたのが彼女であった。その熱狂ぶりは故郷でも群を抜いており、グレイとの縁の近さもあって、おばば様と呼ばれる長から侵刃黄金を預かることとなった。
グレイが自分の顔を嫌ってくれる相手を求めたのも、この母の影響が大きい。かつて慈しんでくれた母が、何もかもを忘れたかのように自分を神の子と信仰してくる光景はただおぞましかっただろう。
そして、本編で看破された通り、そのすべてが芝居であった。
マグダレナは娘を過去の英雄に乗っ取られぬため、自分の半生をかけて、村の因習に挑んだのであった。娘に忌み嫌われることも、娘が孤独に絶望することもすべて覚悟の上で、彼女にできることはこれが精一杯だったのだ。
なお、この際、村の術式に干渉するやり方を教えたのは、この術式を外部で研究していたハートレスである。彼はマグダレナと通じて、内部でしか知り得ない情報を渡してもらう代わりに、術式を破る方法を教えた。
