Natalia Kaminski and Kiritsugu Emiya are hired to kill a rogue magus from Bavaria named Heinrich Zepter, who fled to the United States of America in the 1970s to avoid assassination attempts by the Mage’s Association after his experiments almost breached the concealment of Mystery. Kiritsugu and Natalia trace him to a small village known as Present Mountain, in which he has replaced the villagers with mindless doppelgangers under his control and continued his experiments. The mercenaries eliminate the rogue magus, wiping out the entire town in the process due to Heinrich’s assimilation of it.
