Feend vor Sembren (フィーンド・ヴォル・センベルン, Fīndo voru Senberun?) is the Master of Lancer of Red of the Red Faction in the Great Holy Grail War of Fate/Apocrypha.[1] Along with Cabik Pentel, Deimlet Pentel, Jean Rum, and Rottweil Berzinsky, he is entranced by Assassin of Red and Shirou Kotomine before even meeting his Servant, later coerced into giving up his Command Spells.
Profile[]
Background[]
Feend is said to be a first-class instructor of the Clock Tower.[1][2] He refers to Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald as an old friend.[2]
Appearance[]
Feend is a silver-haired man.
Personality[]
Role[]
Fate/Apocrypha[]
An elite Magus sent by the Mage's Association of the Clock Tower. After he and the Red Faction Masters (with the exception of Kairi Sisigou) gathered in Sighisoara, they discussed the Great Holy Grail War situation, with Feend explaining the setup, as well as asking Rottweil about his involvement in one of the Subspecies Holy Grail War and reminding him to not harm allies. He was also the one holding onto the catalysts provided by Eulyphis.[2] He was put into a trance after drinking the tea that was offered to him. Naturally, he was on his guard and had defensive spells deployed, but it was all rendered meaningless by poison compounded by Assassin of Red.[3] Him and the other Masters spend the rest of the war sharing stories brainwashed in blissful ignorance, during which he mentions it being almost time to gradually begin the inheritance of his family's Magic Crest, but opines that his son is no good, lacking the ambition to be a Magus.[4]
Because of his survival, as a high ranking member of the Clock Tower, the surviving members of the Yggdmillennia were spared from execution at his request due to Caules Forvedge Yggdmillennia having saved the Red Masters.[5]
Perhaps because he ended up shamefully retiring before he even got to fight, the Sembren family gradually began to fall into ruin after this. His only son is currently struggling hard and making strenuous efforts in a certain classroom.[3]
Other appearances[]
His son Fezgram is mentioned in Fate/strange Fake as a disciple of Lord El-Melloi II and has reached either the ranks of "Brand" or "Pride".[6] Presumably, in a repeat of Fate/Apocrypha, Feend may have been one of the Magi assembled for an auction of historical artifacts with mystical value who were betrayed and manipulated by one of their allies, ended up rescued by a Lord of the Clock Tower, and, ashamed of their own blunder, enrolled trustworthy members of their family in the Lord's classes.[7]
Abilities[]
He possesses skill worthy of being chosen to participate in the grand stage of the Great Holy Grail War.[3]
