Theatrical Edition Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA: Licht - The Nameless Girl (劇場版 Fate/kaleid liner プリズマ☆イリヤ Licht 名前の無い少女, Gekijō-ban Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA: Licht - Namae no Nai Shoujoi?) is an anime movie adaptation of the Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA 3rei! manga. It was directed by Shin Oonuma. It was animated by Silver LinkWP, it was exhibited on japanese cinemas on August 27, 2021. Kenji Inoue and Hazuki Minase wrote the script, Kazuya Hirata designed the characters, and Tatsuya Katou with Tomohisa Ishikawa from TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND composed the music.
Story[]
Earth is dying. Within the next few centuries, it will be unable to support human life. But Julian Ainsworth has a plan. Using the remaining magic on the planet, the Holy Grail, and a mysterious, otherworldly cube, he can save humanity from their impending doom. However, as with all magic, there is a price to be paid: in this case, the life of Miyu, a single innocent girl. Now, everything is finally in place. Yet, for his plan to come to fruition, he must first overcome one last obstacle: Illyasviel von Einzbern, a girl from a parallel world powered by heroes of myth and legend who has vowed to stop him and save not only the world itself but Miyu as well.[1]

A few months after the release of Vow in the Snow, the official twitter page for Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA announced an anime sequel.[3] Being quickly teased at the end of the Prisma☆Phantasm OVA, the project is only much later, confirmed to be taking the form of an another animated movie.[4] A key visual illustrated by Hiroshi Hiroyama,[4] alongside an announcement PV were released and the movie website opened.[5] The movie is titled Theatrical Edition Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma☆Illya: Licht - The Nameless Girl (劇場版 Fate/kaleid liner プリズマ☆イリヤ Licht 名前の無い少女, Gekijō-ban Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya: Licht - Namae no Nai Shoujo?)[6], and released in Japanese theaters on August 27, 2021.[7] Shortly after the movie's premiere, it was announced that a new animated sequel was in production.[8]
The movie is licensed in North America by Sentai FilmworksWP and it was released on on April 10, 2022.[9]
