FGO Berserker

NezhaWP (哪吒WP, Nata?), Class Name Lancer (ランサー, Ransā?), is a Lancer-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.

Profile[]

Identity[]

An elite general of Heaven, the Marshal of the Central Altar: Prince Nezha. Although befallen a tragic death in the mortal world, her rebirth occurred through a lotus flower. Famed for defeating and sealing the demons of the Ninety-Six Caverns, and is the greatest rival (self-proclaimed) of the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong.[1][2]

Originally known by the name of NalakūbaraWP, a lower tier deity of Hindu mythologyWP as well as the guardian god of Buddhism, he was eventually conveyed to China and became accepted into Taoism as the God of Young Boys. In modern days, she has been worshipped by many across central China and the East Asian regions. He debuted as a major character in "The Investiture of the Gods". In “Journey to the West”, she was first seen intercepting Sun Wukong who was causing a rampage across the heavens, subsequently being sent by the Heavenly EmperorWP to assist the group of Xuanzang Sanzang during their trip on multiple occasions.[1]

Nezha's body was made with sage arts from the Shang dynasty. Born with a gem that was dropped down to the human world by an immortal of Mt. KunlunWP, Taiyi ZhenrenWP as her core, Nezha has an awkward existence as both a human and an immortal. While she was growing up in the human world, she was not a bad child, but was arrogant and violent. Accused of polluting the river, she killed the accusing godWP and even his superior godWP. Soon after, as she was blamed for bringing disaster to her human parents, she was compelled to commit suicide.[1]

Through twists and turns, Nezha was eventually revived as the spirit of a lotus. The resurrection was not only by the effort of Taiyi Zhenren, but also with the assistance from Shaka Nyorai.[1]

She is considered to be a doll made entirely of baobei, where she would be called a Noble Phantasm Human. From birth, she had magical items such as the Qian-Kun Quan (Universe Ring) and the Hun-Tian Ling (Red Armillary Sash). Nezha subsequently received other magical items from Taiyi Zhenren: the Demon-Slaying Sword, the Phantom-Slaying Blade, the Ghost-Binding Rope, the Evil-Conquering Staff, the Embroidered Sphere, the Wind Fire Wheels, as well as the Fire-Tipped Spear.

Appearance[]

Personality[]

Nezha’s verbal expression is awkward, and she has a robotic and childish aura to her. As a messenger sent by the Buddha, she tries to be thoroughly strict to evil and just to the masses. She intuitively probes about one’s goodness and wickedness. Being one who does not keep up with social norms, there are some times where she would completely rush into a situation as who she is without knowing the circumstances of the incident taking place.

Nezha regrets her past where she hated her father – the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly KingWP – and furiously confronted him, especially when the latter was just trying to take care of his child tenderly.

Nezha secretly dreams of another meeting with the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, and she wants to have a showdown with him.

Attitude towards the Master[]

Very devoted. Regarding wicked matters however, Nezha shakes her head in silence out of opposition to them.

Role[]

Fate/Grand Order[]

Event: Sanzang Coming to the West[]

Nezha is Buddha's messenger meant to observe Xuanzang Sanzang's journey and help her perceive him.

Though only meant to observe, she informs Ritsuka's party that the Flaming Mountains are a test after Sanzang failed to pass through the fire. Sanzang finds her familiar yet cannot remember. Nezha tells her that said memory is inside the scripture she possesses. She calls Sanzang a once pure and holy woman but now despicable and mediocre with no sense of self-sacrifice and bereft of tolerance and benevolence. Thus, she claims Sanzang is no longer fit as Qitian Dasheng’s master, shocking Sanzang. After leaving, Nezha visits the Ox-Demon King (played by Artoria Alter) and gives her the sixth scripture containing Sanzang's memories.

Later, when Ritsuka's party see Arjuna and Karna at River Ganges, Nezha informs the group that the brothers are underworld guardians. Sanzang knew Nezha would come and realizes Arjuna and Karna embody her fear of going to the outside world. She remembers Chaldea tried to summon her, but she refused, believing she reached enlightenment and abandoned all earthly desires. Saying Buddha would see the Incineration of Humanity as just another ripple of existence, Sanzang realizes her summoning failed due to her selfishness as a “human being“. She confesses she doesn’t want to leave her disciples anymore, nor does she want to die alone anymore. However, even if alone, she would still continue her journey. Preparing for her final trial, Sanzang rejects Nezha’s assistance, having deduced what her role is. Nezha accepts this and leaves.

Subspecies Singularity IV: Salem[]

Nezha is one of the Servants chosen to accompany Ritsuka to Salem. With Mash tagging along, they rayshift to a forest outside of town. The group soon observes Abigail Williams directing other girls in a so-called magic ritual. Mata Hari, Robin Hood, and Charles-Henri Sanson try and fail to change into their spirit forms, as asked by Medea to prove their magecraft has weakened. Lavinia Whateley then appears. The group try to convince her what she heard was practice for their performance. She though when Sanson speaks to her in a heavy french accent. After protecting the girls from a pack of wolves, Sanson is concerned about them being weakened, but Nezha reassures him. He agrees with Medea’s concern about Lavinia having possibly seen them fighting. Nezha considers killing her, but Sanson warns against it and goes to search Lavinia.[4]

The next day, the group settles into Randolph Carter‘s home after saving his niece, Abigail, from the wolves last night. Robin and Mata Hari explain Salem doesn’t exactly match historical records. The group then overhears Abigail trying to stop Carter from punishing Tituba for teaching her and the other girls the ritual from last night.[4]

After Mata Hari convinces Carter to ease Tituba’s punishment, Robin and Nezha go to the wharf. Nezha decides they should interrogate every single villager. Robin convinces her not to, reminding her they can’t disrupt the time period, and the villagers might kill them in their current weakened state. The two then enter a tavern where they gamble with some sailors. However, Nezha attacks the sailors after the one who was harassing her complained about her body. Robin tries to calm everyone down when Ritsuka and Mash enter. After the situation is explained, the tavern’s owner becomes skeptical of the group being travelling performers. Mash convinces him they’re God-fearing folk, despite their appearances. The villager says he’ll speak with the Reverend and other respected villagers on the group’s behalf if they insist on performing.[4]

That evening, the group performs a play at the town hall depicting Queen of Sheba meeting King Solomon. Afterwards, they find the townsfolk accusing Tituba of witchcraft because a charm of hers was found under ailing Ann Putnam’s bed. Matthew Hopkins then arrives, saying he’s been appointed Salem’s head judge by order of the governor. He gives the Judge official document to confirm this. He then orders Tituba to be taken into custody for interrogation, with Carter accompanying.[4]

After Ritsuka and Robin return from their meeting with Hopkins, Robin tells the others the details of it, revealing Tituba is being kept in a filthy underground prison. Nezha reprimands him for not rescuing Tituba. Sanson tells her though that such actions would only further suspicions against Tituba. He then reveals Hopkins should be dead if the date is correct, as he died in 1647. He also warns they have three days at least before Tituba is hanged as a witch. Medea decides she needs to examine the charm herself. She then asks the others to describe Tituba. However, they’re unable to recall anything beyond her skin color. However, they’re unable to recall anything beyond her skin color. Medea confirms her workshop will prevent what's interfering with their awareness and memories. She says Tituba has been hiding her true appearance and assumes she has a connection to the Demon God. She decides she needs to examine Tituba directly. Ritsuka asks about contacting Chaldea first, but Medea replies there is currently only a fifty-fifty chance of it working. The group agrees to focus on contacting Chaldea, given the circumstances. Ritsuka, Mash, Medea, and Sanson decide to visit Hopkins, while the others investigate the Whateley estate.[5]

That night at town hall, Robin, Mata Hari, and Nezha learn from the others that Hopkins wants them to perform a play to clear their names. But instead of performing his requested play about Jeanne d’Arc's execution, they perform a play that Andersen wrote about Jeanne and her other-selves. Afterwards, though, they find that Tituba and others were hanged while they were performing.. Hopkins permits the group to be jurors while they’re in Salem.[5]

At Carter’s home, Medea explains why they can’t contact Chaldea and why the Servants have been falsely incarnated. Robin demands she reveal her true identity. He, Mata Hari, and Sanson have suspected her for some time. Robin requests Ritsuka to use a Command Spell on her to see if she is a Chaldean Servant. However, Carter and Abigail return from burying Tituba. Robin and Nezha then sense something outside approaching from a distance. While Mash, Medea, and Carter stay, the others go outside.[5]

The group finds that the executed have risen from the dead. Strangely enough, when slain, the dead villagers display consciousness before disintegrating. The group heads back to the house after hearing gunshots from there. They find the risen Tituba and destroy her. Afterward, they notice Absalom Whateley, and meet Circe.[5] After explaining her circumstances, Circe revealed Tituba is a Servant, though Titbuba isn’t her True Name. Not wanting her true identity revealed before, Circe confessed she was jamming comms with Chaldea, rather than trying to fix them. She stopped jamming after learning Salem is cut off from everywhere. She then forged a temporary contract with Ritsuka.[6]

The next day, the group is requested by the Reverend to put on a play for the children. Nezha is particularly excited by the request. She then goes to tell Abigail about it after Circe is introduced as the newest member of the troupe. Abigail expresses a desire to see the play with her friend, Lavinia Whateley, so Nezha decides to bring Lavinia.[6]

Later, Nezha brings Lavinia to see the play with Abigail. Before the play though, Sanson leaves to investigate the Whateley estate after overhearing Lavina's conversation with Abigail. Ritsuka encourages Mash to take his place, and Nezha tells her that the play doesn't require a prompter. The group then perform a play based on the "Journey to the West".[6]

Afterward, at Carter’s home, they learn from Sanson that Lavinia‘s father and grandfather, Absalom, were hanged. They were hanged nearly the moment he finished rebuilding the gallows. He suspects it was a warning from Hopkins to not interfere. Ghouls then attack the village, but they’re coming from the graveyard this time. The group split up to deal with them. Sanson stops Nezha from using her Noble Phantasm on Absalom, who was risen as a ghoul even though he was buried at Gallows Hill. He asks him not to be killed so he can be interrogated. Carter kills him before he can say anything however.[6]

The next morning, Circe reveals that comms with Chaldea have been restored. However, they aren’t receiving audio from Leonardo da Vinci and Medea, so Ritsuka has to read their lips. Da Vinci reveals the group’s memories were falsified upon entering Salem. They’re unable to connect their memories of past events with the information they’re currently receiving. The condition induces visual and auditory hallucinations. After comms are cut, Nezha stays to ensure Circe doesn't leave while the others search for Mash and Abigail, who went shopping earlier.[7]

Nezha discovers the house is being watched by both Hopkins' men and regular townsfolk. Ritsuka and Robin later inform Nezha and Circe that both Mash and Carrter are missing. Nezha immediately tries to search for them, but Circe stops her. She then informs Ritsuka and Robin about what Nezha discovered. Afterwards, Sanson and Abigail enter to inform everyone that Mata Hari has been accused of witchcraft.[7]

At the town hall, Mata Hari is tried and sentenced to hang. Before she is hanged, Circe tells the others that they're going to let Mata Hari get executed without explaining. Nezha questions what will happen to Mata Hari's memories after she dies since she is falsely incarnated. After Mata Hari is hanged, the group discover rioters have set fire to Carter’s house. Ghouls are also attacking again. While fighting the ghouls, Robin retrieves Mata Hari’s body at Circe’s request. Nezha goes to save Abigail.[7]

After saving Abigail, Nezha rendezvous with Ritsuka, Robin, and Circe in the forest. The group prepares to fight the ghouls that followed Nezha when Tituba arrives to help. Ritsuka forms a temporary contract with her. Slaying the ghouls, she introduces herself as the Queen of Sheba. The group then enters her campsite, where they find Mash. Mata Hari is revealed to be alive. She and Circe explain how they faked her death. Circe also explains there is a will that controls the Witch Trials. If Mata Hari left without atoning for her sin or facing justice, it’s assumed the others wouldn’t have reunited with Mash.[7]

Mash reveals time in Salem is speeding up, a phenomenon that’s only observable within the Bounded Field. This distortion in the time stream near Salem’s perimeter is why Robin lost track of Mash and Carter. Sheba saved Mash from a pack of ghouls when she got lost after getting separated from Carter. Sheba reveals someone summoned her, but she became trapped in Salem and forced into the role of Tituba. She then explains how she can stay materialized after being destroyed as a ghoul. Circe realizes communications with Chaldea were restored once Tituba died.[8]

Later, everyone splits up, with Sheba and Mata Hari staying in camp since they’re supposed to be dead. since they’re supposed to be dead. Mash’s group goes to the wharf and meets Captain Alden. He tells them that Lavinia was staying with him at the harbor inn, though Lavinia left to stop by her home. They don’t find her there, so they go to Gallows Hill, where they find Lavinia.[8]

At the camp, Mash reveals most of the villager’s names, including Carter’s, aren’t on the list of Salem residents. The group realizes they need to monitor Abigail due to her connections to the Witch Trials. Nezha then senses evil in the village, so the group rush over there. The sailors help them deal with the ghosts and demons, but they’re still outnumbered. Carter helps Hopkins’ men destroy the monsters with sliver bullets. After the monsters are destroyed, Carter invites the group to stay at a vacant house. He then leaves to get Abigail[8]

Later, the group search for Abigail. They find her in the forest, along with Lavinia, Sanson, and a dead Hopkins. Sanson takes the blames for Hopkin’s murder after Lavinia flees the scene. The group then return to the house with Abigail as she comes down with a fever.[9]

The next morning, Nezha and Circe meet with Mata Hari, who was briefly disgusied as Medea thanks to Sheba lending some of her power. She warns the village is in utter chaos thanks to the blackened sky, the well being full of tar, and swarms of birds and insects.[10]

Later, Nezha tries and fails to stop Abigail from disrupting Sanson's trial. But it's too late as Sanson has already been sentenced. Ritsuka tries to use a Command Spell to save Sanson. Robin stops them, however, having realized Sanson is sacrificing himself so they aren’t implicated. After Sanson is hanged, Abigail confesses she conducted dark rituals in the woods that she directed the other girls in. Nezha protects her from the villagers’ stoning. However, Abigail suddenly transforms into a true witch, forcing the group to stop her. She returns to normal and falls unconscious. She, Circe, and Ritsuka are then taken into custody.[10]

Later, Ritsuka and Circe's trial begins. Mata Hari and Nezha notice there are ghouls amongst the villagers, including the one they already destroyed. Mata Hari suspects they're like Tituba, and they keep reviving as long as their role remains. She and Nezha are relieved that Sanson isn't a ghoul. Preventing Abigail from disrupting the proceedings, Carter (whose been revealed to be the Demon God) reveals how he recreated the Singularity several times. He also explains Abigail’s involvement in each recreation and the circumstances of Sheba’s summoning. Lavinia soon enters and splashes Carter with the Powder of Ibn-Ghazi, designed to make spirits materialize. Carter‘s head then transforms into that of a raven. This disables the town hall’s bounded field, allowing Sheba to enter in her true form. She reveals the Demon God is Raum. The villagers then turn into ghouls, having been so the entire time. Raum reveals Abigail summoned those who participated in the Witch Trials into Salem. Abigail transforms upon seeing Sheba. As the group holds Abigail off, Lavinia reveals Sut-Typhon is about to descend. Raum transforms into his true self. Due to Sut-Typhon’s impending descent, Salem’s Bounded Field rapidly dissipates, and magical energy is being rapidly consumed across the continent, primarily in heavily populated areas. As the phenomena threatens the basis of magecraft, Chaldea will seal Salem from the outside with multiple bounded fields. If the group cannot resolve the situation with the limited time they have, Chaldea will destroy everything there. The group then fights and defeats Raum.[11]

Raum transforms back into his raven-headed Carter self. His head tears itself off, transforming into a full raven. He mortally wounds Lavinia, and Robin fatally shoots him. He warns dimensional gates are already open everywhere. Abigail then crushes him under her heel. With the last of her humanity gone, she is now possessed by Sut-Typhon. The group fights her to stop her plan to connect everyone to each other and to her so she can bring eternal pain to them. Sheba reveals Abigail is a Servant, albeit one who controls Salem’s magical energy. Abigail then breaks through the bounded fields that were keeping her from the rest of the world, effectively giving her an unlimited source of magical energy. The Queen of Sheba realizes Abigail isn’t using the gates to their fullest potential, as she isn’t to fully fused with Sut-Typhon. She and Circe then create a barrier inside the town hall, dispelling the spell that weakened the group. With their full power restored, they fight Abigail again. After she is defeated, Abigail is disconnected from Sut-Typhon. She shares some words with Lavinia before the latter dies.[11]

The next day, the group helps Abigail bury Lavinia. The Mist surrounding Salem is also dissipating. Mata Hari deduces Raum used Abigail as the core of his fake Salem. The Queen of Sheba reveals the people of modern Salem are weakened, but they’ll return to normal once they cross the Mist. Circe reveals Abigail will disappear with the fake Salem as she is a Pseudo-Servant created within it. Carter then appears, though he introduces himself as the “Gentleman Who Travels Through Time and Space“. He explains his circumstances and reveals he came to Salem because of Abigail. The fake Salem then begins to crumble, so the group head to the town center where they’ll have more time.[12]

There the Gentleman tells Abigail she is a living Sliver Key; she can open gates across space and time, and travel between them freely. He offers to seal her powers away, erase some of her memories, and take her to any period she desires. He also offers to let her come with him, and travel across space and time. After much consideration, Abigail chooses to travel with him. After they leave, Circe and Sheba disappear. The group then returns to Chaldea.[12]

SIN: Land of Unified Knowledge[]

Nezha is the first Servant resummoned with the Spirit Origin Graph when Chaldea arrived at the Wandering Sea. Having heard Ritsuka was poisoned by Koyanskaya, she joins Chaldea's expedition into the Chinese Lostbelt in pursuit of an antidote.[13]

Entering the Lostbelt, Chaldea is attacked by farmers out of fear they’re hostile. After they retreat, Leonardo da Vinci finishes establishing the summoning circle. Afterwards, she negotiates peace with the farmers. The group later waits for a Heroic Spirit to answer Ritsuka’s summons, but Da Vinci doubts one will come since their definition of a Heroic Spirit differs from the Lostbelt’s.[14]

The next day, the village is attacked by Kritchat from the Russian Lostbelt to the Chaldean’s astonishment. They soon deduce Koyanskaya had brought them into the Lostbelt. Da Vinci then shows surveillance footage from a drone she sent towards the capital. It shows a highly advanced metropolis and a massive floating construct, demonstrating the Lostbelt's technology the Proper History's. Da Vinci then shows an image of a line in a low orbit that runs along the storm wall. She reveals the capital is the technologically advanced place in the Lostbelt, as the rest is just farmlands. The capital is in the same location as a city during the Qin Dynasty in the Proper History, Xianyang.[14] The group suspect Qin Shi Huang is the Lostbelt King if he gained immortality. A container is then shot from Xianyangl towards the village. It lands with Hinako Akuta and her Servant, Prince of Lanling, coming out of it. They fight the group, but they're forced to retreat.[15]

Later, Mordred, Spartacus, and Jing Ke are summoned when another container is launched from the capital. Hinako and Lanling emerge from it, this time with automaton soldiers. After Hinako and Lanling retreat, Nezha notices something about the automatons.[15] The group then slay Jotun from the Norse Lostbelt, which the villagers thought were foreigners. Sherlock soon concludes Shi Huang unified the world, bringing peace while eliminating the concepts of war and weaponry from the people.[16]

That evening, Nezha and Mordred stay at the Border while Ritsuka, Mash, Sherlock, Jing Ke, and Spartacus head out to investigate the monsters' nest.[17] After the others return, Nezha helps Sherlock in examining the inner workings of the automatons. They determined the automatons are degraded imitations of her.[18]

The next day, Sherlock shows Nezha footage of their battle with Xiang Yu. Nezha determines from the footage that Xiang Yu is closer to her than the automatons, finding his movements resemble her own. Later, she and Sherlock announce their findings. Nezha theorizes Xiang Yu was originally a humanoid patterned after her design.[18]

Shi Huang later speaks with Chaldea after Qin Liangyu stopped a fight between Chaldea and the forces of Hinako, Lanling, and Xiang Yu. He agrees to hand Vitch over if they agree to let him examine the Shadow Border, so the group reluctantly agrees. After examining the Shadow Border, Shi Huang reveals the line in low orbit is the Great Wall meant to protect the world from extraterrestrial threat since the world is united under the Qin. However, it is meaningless with his empire limited now to China. Shi Huang wants to manufacture vehicles like the Shadow Border, not believing what he was told about Lostbelts or Pruned Phenomenons. The group soon realizes his true form is the construct at Xianyang when he points out they’ve been looking at him this whole time.[18] He analayzed Nezha's remains, mechanizing his body to gain immortality.[19]

The next night, Nezha and Jing Ke report Spartacus and several villager are missing. The remaining villagers said they saw him and others heading towards Xianyang. Ritsuka, Mash, Mordred, and Jing Ke decide to go after them. Mordred tells Nezha to stay behind and protect the Border. While the others are gone though, Liangyu steals the Border. Sherlock gives her the Spirit Origin Graph and has her escape.[20]

Nezha catches up with the others and tells them what happened. hi Huang then orders Xiang Yu to kill the group after learning they taught the villagers poetry, as he’d rather they be peacefully ignorant. The group struggle against him when Hinako and Lanling arrive. The two groups fight for a bit when Qin Shi Huang suddenly has Hinako, Lanling, and Xiang Yu retreat. He has launched a payload from the Great Wall towards the group’s current location, and it’ll arrive in three minutes. Then, empowered by Ritsuka’s Command Spell, Spartacus jumps towards it, and overloads Crying Warmonger to destroy it. After he disappears, the Spirit Origin Graph reacts to the leyline connecting to the Throne of Heroes.[20]

Jing Ke suggests they split up in the three groups; one to pursue the Shadow Border, and two to take the villagers somewhere Shi Huang can't observe. She assigns Mordred and Nezha to escort the villagers, while she goes with Ritsuka and Mash to pursue the Shadow Border. After Mordred and Nezha are finished, they’ll hide and wait near Xianyang until everyone’s together before attacking the capital.[21]

Nezha and Mordred find a cave and leave the villagers there with provisions. The two eventually rendezvous with the other while they're en route towards Xianyang after breaking out Sherlock, Da Vinci, Sherlock, Jingle Abel Meuniere, Goredolf Musik, and Vitch out of Ankang.[22]

Arriving in Xianyang, the group kill Liangyu.[23] Afterwards, they enter Epang Palace’s Ministry of Technology to find the Shadow Border there. They best Han Xin and Li Shuwen, then take the Border to the Fusang Tree afterwards.[24]

They reach the treasury when they're confronted by Xiang Yu and Yu Mei-ren (Hinako's true identity). Sherlock realizes the Fusang Tree is the Fantasy Tree, which Vitch reveals is called Mayall. After Xiang Yu and Yu Mei-ren are defeated, Vitch has Mayall activate. She reveals it has existed within the Fusang Tree, spreading its roots without exposing itself. Hinako had hidden Mayall upon realizing Shi Huang could become hostile after learning his world is a target of the Pruned Phenomenon. Vitch then teleports away, and the Epang Palace crashes.[25]

Shi Huang appears from the ruins now in humanoid form and fights the group to see whose world will continue. He is defeated and entrusts the future to Chaldea. Xiang Yu arrives and rejects the emperor’s decision, though, and fights the group despite his wounds. In maddened grief from his death, Yu Mei-ren allows Mayall to absorb her. After Yu Mei-ren is absorbed, Mayall is fully awakened, and begins emitting cosmic radiation. Da Vinci reveals a galaxy exists inside the Tree, and Sherlock suspects it connects to another world. Then, with Shi Huang’s aid, the group destroys Mayall and ejects Yu Mei-ren from it. Shi Huang convinces her to consider aiding Chaldea in the future before she disappears. After Chen Gong and Red Hare disappear, the group return to the Shadow Border.[25]

Ritsuka finds the antidote in their room, left there by Vitch. After they drink it, the group return to Novum Chaldea to prepare for their next mission to the Indian Lostbelt.[25]

Yuga Kshetra: Samsara of Genesis and Terminus[]

Before they head into Lostbelt, Nezha tells Ritsuka that her Spirit Origin is warning her not to go. Yet despite that, she still resolves to accompany Ritsuka to the Lostbelt.[26]

Arriving in the Lostbelt, Chaldea sees its Fantasy Tree is partially awakened. Nezha wants to go out and destroy immediately, but Sherlock advises against it. A giant floating cube is spotted, but the Shadow Border isn’t getting a response from it. Ritsuka, Mash, and Nezha then exit the Border to go to the nearby leyline suitable for summoning.[27] Ritsuka summons Rama and Karna once the Spirit Origin briefcase is powered. While investigating, Nezha, Karna, and Rama notice they’re not at full strength after slaying a pack of wild beasts.[28]

Ritsuka's party proceeds to a nearby town, Bichu, where they meet Asha and her dog, Vihan. Her father, Ajay, brings her and Vihan into their home when the Kali attack the town. As the group slay the Kali, white creatures arrive and target the Kali before turning their attention towards the group. After slaying the creatures, the group is banished by the town elder, Prakash, for slaying the Holy Beasts and the Kali, calling them God’s messsengers.[28]

In the nearby plains, Ritsuka's party search for a place to camp when they noticed Asha has followed them to thank them. She suggests they camp in a cave she plays in and offers to guide them. She refers to the Cube as God’s Skyboulder, believing God created it. The townsfolk dare not approach its location due to the Kali. Asha reveals the Kali appear more frequently when the Kali Yuga approaches, which is tomorrow. After the Kali Yuga, everyone will be killed by God, but those loved by him will be resurrected for the new Yuga.[28]

Later, after camp is set up, Asha explains the Lostbelt's Yuga Cycle. She then explains the Kali increase in number depending on the current Yuga, and those killed by them lose God’s blessing. She then recalls a self-proclaimed god came to her town a few days ago before heading to the mountains. The group decides to investigate, suspecting the person is a Divine Spirit and a Stray Servant. Karna then ensures Asha returns home safe.[28]

At the mountains, Nezha searches from the air for the god Asha mentioned while the others serarch on the ground. However, she soon clashes with another her. She loses and crashes into the ground before the others and Scandinavia Peperoncino. She disappeaars, apologizing to Ritsuka that she couldn't be more helpful.[29]

Abilities[]

Summoned as a Lancer, Nezha carries a strong personality as a guardian of Buddhism as seen in "Journey to the West". Perhaps she could have been a Berserker if she was summoned as the Nezha that lived just before committing suicide, where she had the brutality of a cruel nature.[1] Nezha is said to be the greatest rival to Sun Wukong(or so she thinks).

She is excellent at sensing evil intentions and spirits, even surpassing Circe's Bounded Field in that regard. Other characters speculate that Nezha isn't sensing evil exactly, but something more primal, like hostility.

According to Li Shuwen, her bangles are the Universe Ring, which she uses as projectile weaponry fired from her arms.

Development[]

Creation and Conception[]

Nezha was designed by Takao Aotsuki in Fate/Grand Order.[1] Her scenario writer are Meteo Hoshizora and Yuuichirou Higashide in Fate/Grand Order.[2]

Comment from Illustrator[]

"A mecha… Why in the world is Nezha a mecha?… Eventually, I took care of the mecha-like aspect of hers… to the extent that I was satisfied, but at first, I had considered reverse joints. I’m glad I didn’t do that, don’t you agree?! While it’s disappointing since my Nezha’s Noble Phantasm Level is 1, I’m looking forward to her pickup at my humble Chaldea!!!!!" (Takao Aotsuki)[2]

    Profile
The foremost elite military commander of Heavens, Marshal of the Central Altar・Crown Prince Nezha.
She was reborn from a lotus flower after meeting a gruesome death in the world of mortals.
Boasting the military achievement of sealing away the apparition of Jiushiliu Dong, she is the greatest rival of the Great Sage Equal to Heaven・Sun Wukong (or so she thinks).

    Level 1 Bond
    Height/Weight: 164cm・57kg
Source: “Investiture of the Gods”, “Journey to the West”, etc.
    Region: China
    Alignment: Neutral Good Gender: Female

    Level 2 Bond
Originally a minor deity from Hindu mythology called Nalakuvara, she was transmitted across China as a guardian deity of Buddhism, becoming the boy god・Crown Prince Nezha by being adopted into Taoism. Even now, she is intimately worshiped in the East Asia region centered on China.
Appears in the “Investiture of the Gods” as a central character.
In the “Journey to the West”, she was recruited to subjugate *** as he rampaged in Heavens and was often dispatched by Shangdi in order to help in the travel of Xuanzang’s party.

    Level 3 Bond
Di Fei Shuang Ling, Huo Jian Qiang(1)
Rank: A Type: Anti-Army Noble Phantasm
An incandescent charge attack in which she dashes up to the sky with the Feng Huo Lun(2)’s super-acceleration and then literally becomes one with her spear for a charging descent.
A bold move in which Nezha (who conjectured a decisive match with Great Sage Equal to Heaven・Sun Wukong) attempts to draw maximum power of her Noble Phantasm as a Lancer - the Huo Jian Qiang.

    Level 4 Bond
To begin with, Nezha is not a human.
Rather, she is an existence somewhat between a human and an Xian, born by making the Cintamani stone that the Xian of Mt. Kulun, Taiyi Zhenren, dropped on the world of mortals as her core.
Other than the Paopei (treasures) that she was said to possess from the moment of her birth - the Qian Kun Quan (Universe Ring) and Hun Tian Ling (Red Armillary Sash) - Taiyi Zhenren also bestowed Nezha with Paopei at every opportunity. Those are the “Zhan Yao Jian”, “Kan Yao Dao”, “Fu Yao Suo”, "Jiang Mo Chu” “Tou Qiu”, “Feng Huo Lun” and “Huo Jian Qiang” (Fire-tipped Spear).

    Level 5 Bond
Afterwards, despite many turns and twists, Nezha was resurrected as spirit of a lotus flower. Her revival had the assistance of not only Taiyi Zhenren, but also Shakyamuni.
Having been summoned as a Lancer, she is deeply tinged with the personality as a guardian of Buddhism that appears in the “Journey to the West”. Were she summoned as Nezha’s cruel disposition, from right before she committed suicide, she would probably have turned into a Berserker.

    Interlude
...incidentally, Taiyi Zhenren was very indifferent regarding the gender of his creation. To begin with, he treated Nezha as a child that had yet to develop any secondary sexual characteristics.
In other words, Nezha’s body after being revived ended up being configured with a different gender from that of her previous life, but by then it was already too late.
This is the reason why Nezha displays an awkward attitude towards the topic of gender, even though she has pride on her own body’s origins and performance.
