The fossilized shell of the first snake in the world to shed its skin (この世で最初に脱皮した蛇の抜け殻の化石?) is a relic from the life of Gilgamesh, used as a catalyst to summon him as a Servant.

As of the end of the 19th century, the snake skin was in possession of the Mage's Association.[1]

Tokiomi Tohsaka receives the catalyst on the eve of the Fourth Fuyuki Holy Grail War, using it to summon Gilgamesh.[2]
Fate/stay night[]
The snake skin is in possession of the Tohsaka family as of the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War, but it has been broken into many fragments.[3]
Characteristics[]
Looking like a "broken fragment of a mummy" at first glance, the fossil is intact as of the Fourth Fuyuki Holy Grail War of the Fate/stay night world.[2] As of the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War, the catalyst has been broken.[3]
