French Incident

The French Incident is a gathering of Dead Apostle Ancestors in a city in France following the manifestation of Michael Roa Valdamjong as Elesia.

History

Thirteen years before the events of Ciel's route, Roa (then using Ciel's body) and a group of his Dead Apostle Ancestor allies attacked Noel's hometown, leaving her the sole survivor. This left her with a deep hatred of both Roa and Ciel, who she blamed as much as Roa himself for the massacre she survived. It is due to this that she became an Executor.

There is a strong implication that Dr. Arach was present during the French Incident, since spider-like Ghouls were among the undead that devoured Elesia's village. Another one of the silhouettes of the Dead Apostles present during the Incident resembles Rita Rozay-en, and her presence is supported by the appearance of Dead whose bodies sprouted thorns among the those converted from the population of the town.
