Geryon Ashborn (ゲリュオン・アッシュボーン, Geryuon Asshubōn^?) is the deceased lord of Adra Castle whose death starts the Adra Castle incident of Lord El-Melloi II Case Files.

Profile

Background

Geryon's son was Glannid Ashborn, although unknown to Geryon Glannid was not actually related to him by blood. Geryon was married to Irene Ashborn, but he proved infertile in their attempts to have an heir. When Irene met her old friend Orlocke Caesarmund, who her husband approached as a research partner, for the first time in years, love blossomed between them. From their one-time affair, she bore Glannid, although she succumbed to illness soon after. Glannid would later die of the same illness as a child.

Following their passing, Geryon turned Irene into the Ashborn Beast (アッシュボーンの獣, Asshubōn no Jū^?) as a familiar to hold Magic Crests.

Due to the battle between Jiroubou Seigen Tokitou and his brother as well as his body being severely burnt to near ashes by the Tengu Flames used by his siblings, the crest was noted to have taken serious, near irreversible damage. Thus, this lead Jiroubou to travel and approach Geryon Ashborn in order to repair and fine tune the crest. This however, unknowingly resulted in him also being implanted with the Ashborn family's crest and the remnants of Geryon's son's mind into his own consciousness that began to gradually meld together with his own.

Abilities

Geryon was said to be able to restore damaged Magic Crests. He can supposedly even repair ones that are damaged beyond what a Tuner would be capable of healing, such as the El-Melloi Crest which was mostly destroyed by Kiritsugu Emiya.
