The Greater Holy Grail of Snowfield (スノーフィールドの大聖杯, Sunōfīrudo no Dai Seihai?) is the Greater Holy Grail of the True and False Holy Grail Wars of Snowfield. Designed as an imitation of the Greater Holy Grail of Fuyuki, it cannot replicate the Third Magic, but it is capable of functioning in the capacity of granting wishes.[1][2] The connection between the Grail and the Third Magic means that there is still the possibility, however small.[3][4][5]
History[]
Sometime after the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War, Francesca Prelati had brought together a variety of components, such as a fragment of the Fuyuki Greater Grail's Magical energy that she had barely managed to obtain before the start of the Fifth War, or the "mud" she had unearthed from the ruins of the Fuyuki disaster that had occurred during the Fourth, and constructed a fake Holy Grail in Snowfield.[6]
Characteristics[]
One of two contingency plans in the case of the loss of control of the Holy Grail War is Code 982 "Abyss Rise" (コード982「奈落の繁栄」, Kōdo 982 "Naraku no Han'ei"?), in which the Greater Grail is overcharged along with the leylines to trigger an eruption of magma deposits under the city as a means to destroy all of Snowfield to erase all traces of the Holy Grail War.[2]
