Ritsuka Fujimaru |
Fate/Grand Order |
Gudao (ぐだ男?), also called the Protagonist and Ritsuka Fujimaru, is a side character of the Learn with Manga! FGO series.
Profile[]
Background[]
Gudao is identified as the protagonist, much like Gudako, but while Gudako has been present from the start, Gudao first appeared as part of an April Fools' Day prank on the Director and has appeared sporadically ever since.
Appearance[]
Gudao has short, spiky black hair and blank blue eyes. While he normally wears the default Chaldea Security Organization uniform, and later the Arctic Region uniform in Part 2, he is often reduced to shreds of clothing, if not entirely naked.
Personality[]
Similar to how his female counterpart is obsessed with women, Gudao is obsessed with men (including transvestites, furries, and shotas), especially Astolfo, Leonardo da Vinci (despite her current female body, he asserts she is in her "shota" form and tries to use command spells to make her grow a penis), and Goredolf Musik.
Role[]
While originally only showing for occasional jokes, Gudao's role has grown somewhat as the series has gone on.
When Leonardo da Vinci created several more Udon servants, Gudao confronted her, only to be immediately defeated. He later reappears when Gudako is transformed by the Udon Casters in order to prevent her from unleashing her Noble Phantasm and guaranteeing that every summoning would grant a 5-star Servant (as he hadn't summoned Paris yet). He is once again defeated in a single blow.
Later, whilst trying to farm friend points to summon Paris, he discovered that Goredolf, a fellow Fate/Grand Order player, had removed him from his friends list for having only set Rider Astolfo equipped with a low-leveled Bella Lisa Craft Essence as his support. Shocked and appalled, Gudao began to question the worthiness of saving humanity.
Ambushing Kadoc Zemlupus and his servant in the snow, he asks Kadoc how one becomes a Crypter, but is quickly chased off by Anastasia.
Gudao goes on to beseech Tamamo-no-Mae to make him a Crypter, seemingly having mistaken her for Tamamo Vitch Koyanskaya.
Convinced that he is now a Crypter, he declares Astolfo to be a Lostbelt King and puts his "evil" plans into action (Namely, attempting to abduct the Captain with promises of candy). He is immediately stopped by Goredolf and apprehended after being defeated with a single punch.
Breaking out of his cell by stripping naked and covering himself in lotion, he attempts to summon a powerful Servant to destroy Novum Chaldea only to end up summoning Kadoc and Anastasia while they're trying to eat. As he tries and fails to use a command spell to make Anastasia fight the Director, she and Kadoc join with Goredolf to catch him. However, he is too slippery for them to grab and gets away.
He later takes up residence in the ventilation ducts, forcing Kadoc to cover himself in salad oil to follow him through (much to Gudao's pleasure). Later on, Gudao tricks Caenis into leading him to Kirischtaria Wodime and somehow manages to convince him to let him join the Crypters, much to Kadoc's confusion. He is later seen showing off what he claims is a Tree of Emptiness sprout, unaware that Kirischtaria actually gave him a houseplant with a face scribbled on it.
Abilities[]
Unlike Gudako, who possesses monstrous ability for a human, Gudao seems quite frail, being easily defeated and deterred by Caster class servants and even Magus with no speciality in combat, like Goredolf Musik.
As a Master, he has only been shown to possess Astolfo at level 90 and two copies of Sieg which he gifts to Astolfo, but due to lacking a high level Craft Essense, nobody uses him as support.
