Han XinWP (韓信, Kan Shin?) is a Chinese general appearing in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Background[]
In Proper Human History, Han Xin is one of the Han Dynasty's three greatest heroes.
Within the Chinese Lostbelt, Han Xin was one of many heroic figures preserved in cryostasis by Qin Shi Huang, remaining alive until modern day 2019 (2020 in the English Version).[1]
Before Qin Shi Huang had gained a giant mechanical body, Han Xin had crushed a number of notable countries such as India, Rome, and Egypt. The strategist was repeatedly put to sleep in Mount Li until he was needed, where the Aztecs was the last enemy Han Xin had faced, before Chaldea had showed up.[1][2]
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Han Xin is a man who loves war and sees peace as another way to say "there are no enemies to conquer." He sees Qin Shi Huang's method of cryostasis as a convenient method that allows Han Xin to never personally experience actual peace as the strategist always wakes up to fight any enemies of the emperor.[2]
Han Xin is notably very loyal to Qin Shi Huang where, even after the emperor had granted retirement to his faithful strategist, Han Xin still chose to fight against Chaldea.[2]
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
SIN: Land of Unified Knowledge[]
Alongside Qin Liangyu, Han Xin is one of the heroes choosen by Li Shuwen to be released from cryosleep at Mt. Li.
When Qin Shi Huang questions who the true threat to his empire is, Han Xin says it is the rest of the world beyond the Storm Wall, for it is now cut off from the emperor's blessings. He says they should send out scouts to investigate, instead of trusting the words of a stranger. He therefore suggests seizing the Shadow Border, understanding Chaldea used it to cross the Storm Wall.[3]
Shi Huang later introduces the Dou Dou Yishan (Qin’s counterfeit Border) and orders Liangyu to lead them once they’re mass produced and deployed against Chaldea. Han Xin excitedly takes her with him to talk tactics. He is shocked though when Liangyu later reports the Dou Dou Yishan were useless in battle.[4]
Later, as Chaldea gets closer and closer to Xianyang, Han Xin has Liangyu fortify the capital's frontline defenses. He also says to hold off Chaldea with more waves of automatons and Dou Dou Yishan.[4]
After Chaldea enters Xianyang and kills Liangyu, Shi Huang decides to enter the fray himself. He then releases Li Shuwen and Han Xin from his service.[5]
Confronting Chaldea at the Ministry of Technology, Han Xin pretends they don't need to fight since Shi Huang relieved him of duty. But almost immediately he shows he remains loyal to the emperor and sends soldiers to stop Chaldea from retaking the Border. Li Shuwen eventually joins him, having been asked by Shi Huang to watch an eye on Han Xin until the end. After Chaldea leaves in victory, Li Shuwen tells Han Xin to leave before the building collapses. However, the two of them are too exhausted to move. Though he's ashamed to admit it, Li Shuwen admits he began feeling his age at 150 years old, despite Shi Huang's personal instruction in the sage arts. Han Xin tells him he should've entered cryostasis at Mt. Li when he had the chance, instead of staying on active duty. He believes seeing Li Shuwen fight in his prime would be a sight to behold. Li Shuwen supposes he used to threaten his enemies with his martial arts. Then, feeling nostalgic for the days he spent with Shi Huang, Li Shuwen passes away. Han Xin remarks how peaceful he looks, as if he is only sleeping.[2]
Abilities[]
Han Xin is a man with extraordinary strategic capabilities where even Chen Gong evaluates that Han Xin's strategical sensibilities can even outpace Zhuge Liang.[2]
