Harada SanosukeWP (原田左之助WP?), Class Name Lancer (ランサー, Ransā?), is a Lancer-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Background[]
Squad Ten Captain within Kyoto's paramilitary garrison during the twilight years of the Edo period, the Shinsengumi. Born in the feudal domain of Iyo-Matsuyama, he left his homeland to become one of the Shinsengumi's longest-serving members.
The precise chain of events that drew Harada to Edo's Shieikan, the dojo of the Tennen-Rishin-ryu, isn't clear, yet it was there that he first encountered Kondou Isami, Hijikata Toshizou, Okita Souji, Nagakura Shinpachi, Saito Hajime, Yamanami Keisuke and Toudou Heisuke.[3][4][5]
A consummate soldier and spearmaster in both van and rear, he served as the corps' quartermaster and rearguard commander, and was among those who alongside Hijikata, Okita, Saito and Yamanami to cut down Serizawa Kamo.[6]
He continued to serve all the way through to the Battle of Kōshū-KatsunumaWP. Harada thereafter withdrew from the unit to enlist with the ShogitaiWP, where he fell to a gunshot during the Battle of UenoWP.
Yet according to certain accounts, he may have survived, crossing over to the Chinese mainland to live on as a mounted brigand. Speculation runs rampant.[1]

Abilities[]
Though celebrated as a master of the spear, Harada was by no means unskilled with the sword. His command of logistics, moreover, made him indispensable within the corps' order of battle.[1]
Skills[]
Class Skills[]
- Magic Resistance (E Rank):
Personal Skills[]
- Red Wolf of Mibu (C Rank): The Red Wolf outlasted the twilight of Edo, crossing onto the vast Mainland and thereafter leading a life of restless wandering.[1]
- Shinazu Sanosuke (B+ Rank): A variant of Battle Continuation, crystallized from the strange tale that Harada lived on even after attempting seppuku. More than that, he stood among the rare few of the Shinsengumi who survived the twilight of the Edo period. Think of a man dogged by the rotten luck of enduring ordeals that should have, by all rights, put him to rest.[1]
- Vagabond Spear (C Rank): Harada's sojutsu is conjectured to trace its lineage to the Hozoin-ryu or perhaps the Taneda-ryu, yet in truth it remains an elusive style without fixed transmission. He wields a five-jointed lance of composite design, equipped with ancillary functions that let it disassemble into five independent segments. "I've pored over more spear arts than I can count, so I don't exactly play favorites with styles."[1]
Noble Phantasm[]
Harada Sanosuke's Noble Phantasm is Shinazu Ichimonji.
All Shinsengumi members have access to the Noble Phantasms Coat of Oaths, and also all Shinsengumi officers have access to the Noble Phantasm Flag of Sincerity, though which members they summon with it depends on who likes them enough to answer.[2]
