Personality[]
Role[]
Strange Tales of Heroic Spirit Lore ~King of the Cavern, Edmond Dantès~[]
In the story, Haydée acts as a narrator and a mysterious character that always appears behind the Count to warn or comfort him, being able to talk with him just with thoughts, and that no one else can perceive.[3]
While waiting for the first objective in Abbé Faria's revenge to appear after inviting him to his home, Haydée warns Edmond that he should not have brought him here, but Edmond tells her to go away as it is not yet time for the two of them to meet.[3]
Haydée shows again later when he is going to confront Tarantella, and warns Edmond that this is way too dangerous. She wants him to live, and says that Faria would have wanted the same. Edmond says nobody knows what the dead want, and all he's doing is ridding himself of his own sorrows. Haydée wishes she could heal him of his sorrows, but Edmond tells her to begone, and to wait for him on the other side beyond love and hate.[4] After he loses the fight, Haydée calls out to him again and he asks her to give him more power. To which she responds he already has that power within him.[5]
At the very end, Haydée closes the tale by narrating that his tale of revenge in Rome was over; but this was only the vengeance for the sake of Abbé Faria, the other story of vengeance. And so this is just but the beginning of the Count of Monte Cristo's journey beyond love and hate, the tale of vengeance in Paris.[6]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Id: Irreversible Waste Hole[]
The identity of the narrator in Tokyo Singularity, which was created based on the memories of the protagonist Ritsuka Fujimaru, was Haydée. Ritsuka also noticed this and tried to talk to her several times, but Haydée didn't respond because she didn't think Ritsuka could hear her. It appears that some Servants could also hear this, as Jeanne d'Arc Alter responded directly to Haydée.
After completing all the trials imposed by Edmond Dantès, she showed an asleep Ritsuka a dream of the previous life of the King of the Cavern, and when Ritsuka asked her to reveal her identity, she apologized, saying that she did not think that they would recognize her existence. Afterwards, she reveals herself as a fragment of the heart, the salvation that was lost forever when Edmond Dantès ascended to the Throne of Heroes.
She reveals that she will soon disappear now that the King of the Cavern has left, and asks the Master, who has given up his path as an avenger, what he wants for the last time, and is told that they want to meet the departed Avengers one more time. With the determination that they could not let them go without saying goodbye, the Master, with the help of Chaldean servants (Merlin, Abigail, Ashiya Douman, Geronimo, etc.) and Haydée, enters the wastehole through a dream, reunites with the Avengers, and they defeat Alessandro di Cagliostro. After saying goodbye to the Avengers in the Singularity, the Master returns to Chaldea, and the Avengers in the abandoned space break ties and move out, leaving only their shadows behind. Since the King of the Cavern disappeared, Haydée would also have disappeared.
Through Jeanne d'Arc Alter's remarks, it is implied that Haydée’s voice cannot be heard by the Edmond Dantès who still resides inside the King of the Cavern, but has been distorted into a revengeful spirit without salvation.
Abilities[]
Her mere existence in Heroic Spirit Lore Strange Tales is shrouded in mystery, with only Edmond Dantès seeming to be able to notice her presence, and he says that her eyes "may be even able to foretell fate".[3]
