Kiara Sessyoin (殺生院キアラ, Sesshouin Kiara?) is the therapist of the Seraphix branch of Chaldea Security Organization in Fate/Grand Order. She is later taken over by Demon God Zepar, taking on the personality of another self, and ultimately transforms into Beast III/R.
Profile[]
Background[]
Kiara of the Fate/Grand Order world was brought up in the same circumstances as the Kiara of the Fate/EXTRA CCC until she was 14 years old, but her life developed differently from that point due to a doctor from outside the mountains curing her condition. She was no longer imprisoned in her bed, able to leave the mountains to have a happy life. Differing from the CCC her who went on to found a cult that perpetuated death, Kiara's "saintly nature" saved many people. This also caused her to be attacked by organizations who had vested interests in the fields in which she saved people. With complaints like, "Why are you outdoing us in our field, and for free at that!?", they made her out to be a villain, so she lost her place of belonging. She was later invited to the Seraphix oil rig owned by Chaldea Security Organization in 2014. Had it not been for the intervention of Zepar, she would have eventually become a respected part of a small community, living a modest but happy life.[2]
Appearance[]
She's twenty-five years old at the time of the sinking of Seraphix.[1]
Personality[]
Although she somewhat resented the circumstances that led her to Seraphix, Kiara was a compassionate and kind woman genuinely devoted to helping others with mental health challenges. She resisted the influence of Zepar as long as possible, doing all she could to help the crew even as her sense of self was worn away and her body was taken over. Before her original personality was overwritten, Kiara had begged someone to kill her as she greatly treasured her gentle psyche.
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
When Seraphix was first digitized, Kiara did all she could to help the crew but soon found herself dreaming of Zepar. A month after digitization, she realized that her personality had begun to change into something callous and self-centered, but her sense of duty helped her preserve her conscience enough to recognize that she was no longer herself. When the crew turned against her, she locked herself in the church she was stationed in.
A few days later, Zepar revealed its presence to Kiara and announced its intention to possess her. Kiara's control over her body grew increasingly limited after Zepar linked her mind to that of her CCC counterpart, and after BB's summoning Kiara realized that her personality would soon be completely erased. She was able to sustain her consciousness just long enough to leave a record of what had happened in Seraphix in her church, begging whoever found her record to stop SE.RA.PH. from reaching the Earth's core and destroy the monster that she would soon become.
By the time Ritsuka Fujimaru came to SE.RA.PH., whatever was left of the original Kiara had been entirely replaced by her CCC counterpart.
