Klironomia (クリロノミア, Kurironomia?) are nanomachines derived from the technology and Authority of the Twelve Machine Gods, which exist within the Atlantic Lostbelt.[1][2]
Principles[]
The Klironomia are nanomachines made of a metal not found on Earth, known as OrichalcumWP, which is also used in the Aletheia of the Twelve Machine Gods.[3][1][2] In their isolated state, the Klironomia appear as a grey liquid like mercuryWP but they are relatively safe,[4][3] not being poisonous or corrosive, and having programmed limitations against running amok.[3]
The Klironomia are used to greatly enhance or restore the strength, performance and longevity of an individual or object they are applied to.[1][1][2] They can act as a pseudo-perpetual motion machine and generate enough Mana to sustain a Servant without a Master.[1][2]
Aside from the standard Theos Klironomia (テオス・クリロノミア, Teosu Kurironomia?), specific variations exist for each of the Twelve Machine Gods, with their own unique characteristics:[1][2]
- Zeus Klironomia (ゼウス・クリロノミア?): Increases all abilities.[5]
- Poseidon Klironomia (ポセイドン・クリロノミア?): Increases combat abilities while in the sea.[5]
- Hades Klironomia (ハデス・クリロノミア?): Provides pseudo-immortality.[5]
- Athena Klironomia (アテナ・クリロノミア?): Increases all combat abilities and grants a Skill fitting for the user.[5]
- Hephaestus Klironomia (ヘファイストス・クリロノミア?): Increases durability and metalworking ability.[5]
- Demeter Klironomia (デメテル・クリロノミア?): Provides enhanced regenerative capabilities.[1][2]
- Ares Klironomia (アレス・クリロノミア?): Grants increase to physical strength and attack, and reduces all damage to self by a certain percent.[2]
The name Klironomia, meaning 'legacy', was chosen by Hephaestus to reflect their civilization's stagnation.[5]
The Klironomia are used by the denizens of both Olympus and Atlantis, with the citizens of Olympus strengthened enough to fight on par with a Servant.[1][2] Dispensing systems exist scattered across the islands of Atlantis, but they require the presence of an Olympian to authorize usage, though it is possible to temporarily trick the machine.[4]
