MabWP (マヴ, Mavu?) is a figure from the history of the English Lostbelt in Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Background[]
4,000 years ago, an A-Rei named Mab led the fairies of the North against the fairies of the South in the Summer War. Mab cornered the Southern fairies, but on the verge of victory, she was betrayed by her human lover and was defeated by Aesc, who attacked during the opportunity made by that betrayal; details about this "betrayal" were interpreted differently by separate parties but, according to Cnoc na Riabh the true exact version of the story was that Mab overestimated her human lover's combat ability where, as the loyal husband charged with Mab onto the battlefield, the committed lover ended up dying before Mab could properly celebrate their victory together which left Mab heartbroken due to her lover's "betrayal" was that he became unable to fulfill his promise to stay with her,
1,600 years ago, a state of tension arose between the Northern fairies and Camelot once more when it concerned the establishment of human livestock. A secret agreement was made between Mab and Morgan, the queen of the south. Mab said to Morgan, "I’ll break off relations with you. I’ll maintain the Northern fairies.", and built up a citadel city in the north known as the Queen's City, Edinburgh. After this Mab retired as she entered an eternal sleep.[1]
A little over 100 years ago, the current generation of Mab, Cnoc na Riabh, was born.[1][2]
Appearance[]
Fairies who are born with the same "purpose" look alike and have similar abilities, with each new fairy being born after the previous dies.[3] As such, Mab should look very close to her successor generation, Cnoc na Riabh.
Personality[]
While Mab had a human lover, she was harsh towards her human workers as she worked them like slaves. However, Mab was extremely close to her most beloved soldier that, because she loved him too much, she lost the will to fight after the mentioned lover died, blaming herself for putting too much trust in her human lover's limited strength as it inadvertently ended his life.
Role[]
Other appearanecs[]
Mab from proper history was one of William Shakespeare's inspirations for Titania in his play A Midsummer Night's Dream.[4]
Abilities[]
Mab was an A-Rei,[5] an Elemental on the scale of a god.[6] Mab possessed the Blessing of Albion and his protection, as well as a primordial strength that the southern fairies do not.[7]
