Hotaruzuka (蛍塚, Hotaruzuka?), given name unknown, is the owner of Copenhagen in Fuyuki.
Profile[]
Background[]
Hotaruzuka was the owner of the bar and liquor store, Copenhagen. Run together with his daughter Otoko Hotaruzuka, Hotaruzuka hired Shirou Emiya as a part time employee after the death of Shirou's father, Kiritsugu Emiya, five years before the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War.[1]
Personality[]
Hotaruzuka is a laid-back, relaxed individual, telling his part-time employees that coming in on an extraordinarily busy day is optional. He is scolded by his daughter for such acts.[1] He was the only person willing to hire the young Shirou Emiya, and he greatly appreciates Shirou's work ethic.[1]
He has a liking for sweet food, while his daughter likes spicy food, making Shirou see them as a well-balanced family.[1]
Appearance[]
Role[]
Fate/stay night[]
Shirou works a shift at Copenhagen before the start of the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War. Due to none of the other employees coming in after Hotaruzuka made it optional, Hotaruzuka, Otoko, and Shirou are left to deal with a five-person restocking job. After the shift is over, Hotaruzuka gives Shirou more money than he'd normally make in a week for just the three hour shift.[1]
Development[]
Hotaruzuka has not been directly depicted outside of the 2006 anime adaptation Fate/stay night.
