MinotaurosWP (ミーノータウロスWP, Mīnōtaurosu?), Berserker (バーサーカー, Bāsākā?), is a Berserker-class Servant summoned by Kadoc Zemlupus in the Lostbelts of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
The Lostbelt version of Asterios. Compared to the much more peaceful Asterios, Minotauros is simply a monster that eats people who tread into the Labyrinth.
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Lacking the shred of humanity that Asterios displays, Minotauros is largely driven by his hunger and bloodlust, which are mostly one and the same. His speech is even more limited that his Proper Human History counterpart, bellowing his words before descending into roars or childish giggling.
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Anastasia: Permafrost Empire[]
Minotauros first appears during the ambush on the rebel army's new stronghold, directed by Grigori Rasputin. He is able to destroy the natural defenses of the surrounding forest due to the superior Mystery of his Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm, allowing the Oprichniki to take the rebel Yaga completely by surprise. By the time Ritsuka Fujimaru, Billy the Kid and Avicebron return in the aftermath of the battle, they find nothing but corpses left. While they are initially led to believe that more than half of the rebels were still alive, Alter Ego reveals that only a small number were captured by Ivan the Terrible's troops, as the majority of the missing Yaga had in fact been eaten by Minotauros.
Minotauros proceeds to trap the party within his labyrinth, separating Avicebron from the others in the process. He battles with Ritsuka and Billy, but withdraws after deciding that he is no longer hungry, stating his intention to eat them later.
When Chaldea begins its raid on Yaga Moscow, Sherlock Holmes identifies Minotauros' position within the city to be the most critical to how they proceed with their plan to rescue Atalanta Alter. Kadoc calls him forth to be Atalante's executioner, and Chaldea uses the opportunity to bait Minotauros into unleashing his Noble Phantasm, using its separate dimension to conduct their rescue of the rebels. When Beowulf deals him a final blow, Minotaurus roars with hunger and rage; only to be flooded with memories belonging to his Proper Human History counterpart of Euryale during their time in Okeanos when Ritsuka calls to him with "Asterios". He marvels at the foreign memory of someone calling his name and wishes that "I had been that me" before at last fading away with a smile.
His labyrinth remains standing for a time after his defeat, allowing Avicebron to use its entirety as materials for his Golem Keter Malkuth.
Abilities[]
Whereas Asterios grew up in the peaceful Proper Human History, Minotauros originated from a Lostbelt, thus becoming a monster that eats everyone who enters his Labyrinth.[1] Despite being more brutal than his main counterpart, Sherlock Holmes points out that although Asterios may have some measure of intellect, the Minotaur does not. This key difference allows Chaldea to form a plan against him that would not have worked on Asterios.[2]
His Noble Phantasm is Chaos Labyrinthos: Eternally Unchanging Labyrinth - Evil, a relic of the Age of Gods[2] and one of the few man-eater traps to ever exist.[3]
Development[]
Creation and Conception[]
Minotauros was designed by Shima Drill in Fate/Grand Order.
