Miyamoto IoriWP (宮本 伊織?), Class Name Saber (セイバー, Seibā?), is a Saber-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order. He is the Stray Saber (逸れのセイバー?) of the Waxing Moon Ritual of the Edo Singularity.
Profile[]
Identity[]
- Main article: Miyamoto Iori#Background
Miyamoto Iori is a figure from the World of Fate/Samurai Remnant, rather than the figure of the same name from Proper Human History.
As a Servant Iori does not remember anything from the events of Fate/Samurai Remnant, not even meeting Saber or how he died. He also lacks the knowledge that a Heroic Spirit would usually be summoned with.[1] While not explicitly stated, Yui Shousetsu and Yamato Takeru's reactions to him strongly suggest that the events of the "Entreat the Darkness" route occurred for him.
Appearance[]
Personality[]
When he was alive his alignment was True Neutral, but as a Servant it is now Lawful Neutral. This is seemingly related to the gap in his memories.[1]
Upon becoming a Servant, Iori renounced the wish he had for the Waxing Moon in life as well as his memories of the Waxing Moon Ritual, having decided that since he had achieved his wish in life he had no reason to seek it out a second time. He is unconcerned with the loss of his memories, reasoning that as a Heroic Spirit it would be better for him to focus on the present.
Relationships[]
- Miyamoto Musashi
- "I can tell. My teacher used to be here. Sigh... That's how fate brings people together."[2]
- Sasaki Kojirou
- "The monstrosity of the mountain roads, the nameless gentleman. He looks a lot younger than what I saw him as but I could never forget that swordman's aura. I had believed he only achieved his state of inexhaustibility at an advanced age... but I see that at that time of his life, he was already coming to grips with it."[2]
- Yamato Takeru
- "Yamato Takeru... No, still doesn't remind me of anything. But I do have some affection. One with similar warmth to what I feel for Kaya... my sister. And at the same time, something else..."[2]
- "Saber, stop pulling! Let go of my sleeve! I get it already. I just need to go with you, right?"[2]
- "Saber, what are you wearing? All this draping fabric ought to get in the way of your sword's arc... Maybe not, despite the amount of fabric, it's quite... Seriously, what is the point?"[2]
- Yui Shousetsu or Ushi Gozen
- "You seem to know me, but unfortunately, I don't remember you. My sincerest apologies."[2]
- Yui Shousetsu
- "Don't beat yourself up much. I know how it may be a negative suggestion to make, hollow as I am, but... I'm here if you need anyone to talk."[2]
- Ushi Gozen
- "Ushi Gozen, refrain from causing Master problems. I'm ready to cut you down whenever you give me a reason to."[2]
- Jeanne d'Arc / Jeanne d'Arc Alter
- "That's... Jeanne D'Arc?"[2]
- Yagyuu Munenori
- "Agh?! Did I hear that right? You're THE Yagyuu Tajima-no-kami Munenori-dono, the undefeated swordsman? "[2]
- Amakusa Shirou Tokisada

Personal Skills[]
- Like Ice (B Rank): The perfectly clear mentality of one who removes all emotion from the mix in order to master the sword in theory and practice. Originated as a variant of the Calm and Collected.[1]
- Crimson Codex (B Rank): Grimoire inherited from his teacher Miyamoto Musashi. The Crimson Codex is an intelligent book with a simulated personality and put Iori to train Western Magecraft since he had the necessary knowledge for it. It's his magecraft teacher, so to speak. Iori's signature spells are Jewel Magecraft. [1]
- The Sword of Five Rings (A Rank): Remix of Niten Ichi-ryuu that he practices. It's capable of adapting to any combat situation by switching between five stances as needed. It diverges from Musashi's teaching in theory and practice, but Iori strongly believes it's rooted in the mindset his teacher wrote down in the Book of Five Rings.[1]
Noble Phantasm[]
Iori's Noble Phantasm is Hiken - Hiyoku Senyou.[1]
Development[]
Conception and Creation[]
