ORT (オルト, Oruto?), One Radiance Thing (ワン・ラディアンス・シング, Wan Radiansu Shingu?), is the Ultimate One that came from the Oort CloudWP surrounding the edge of the Milky WayWP galaxy, currently residing on Earth.[1][2] Its default Saint Graph Designation is Foreigner, but it is able to switch to any of the other class designations at will.[3]
Profile[]
Background[]
ORT landed on Earth 66 million years ago (much earlier than it did in Proper History), its impact setting fire to the surface and damaging itself to the point where it went into slumber to heal. Before ORT's arrival, a previous meteor had impacted 300 millions years before the present. The microorganisms, fungi and bacteria within that meteor formed a symbiotic relationship with and empowered the ancestors species of Deinos, the theropodsWP of Proper Human History, as Humans did not exist yet. Creating Malla, the collective goodwill of dinosaurian kind, its "Divine Filaments" spread across the supercontinent PangeaWP and bound it together in order to extend its Domain beyond America. Later, Malla would predict the arrival of ORT, and create Mictlan and its artificial sun in order to safely store the dinosaurs underground.[2]
ORT's arrival forced the ancestor species of the deinos to escape to the underground space created by Malla, preventing their extinction. Millions of years later, the surface, the supercontinent PangeaWP, is still burning.[4] The dinosaurs evolved into the Prime Species in charge of managing the underground world, becoming the Deinos. The Deinos survived through photosynthesis from the sunlight of Mictlan's sun but, 40 million years later, the Sun runs out a energy and dies out, forcing the Deinos to go into hibernation. Eventually, a new culture came to the world of Mictlan, built by Humans who at some point evolved and build cities in Mictlan, with Camazotz as their King. 20 million years later, 60 million year later after it first arrived, ORT heals from the damage it sustained and reawakens, and begins to wreak havoc across the planet. Unable to be defeated by them, Humanity commits a mass-sacrifice of their species in order to empower Camazotz to the point where he was completely unkillable. Being unable to die, Camazotz battles ORT and, after an unspecified amount of time later, manages to rip out ORT's heart and put ORT back to slumber in order to heal itself. Malla would then use the heart as fuel to power Mictlan's sun, awakening the deinos and allowing them to occupy Humanity's cities.[5]
Appearance[]
ORT resembles a gigantic, metallic insect covered in glowing markings. Its true body resembles a flying saucer.
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Olympus: Interstellar Mountainous City[]
ORT is mentioned by Rasputin as the only being on Earth that could possibly function as the Alien God's vessel. And it is present in the South American Lostbelt.[1]
Nahui Mictlan: Golden Sea of Trees Travelogue[]
James Moriarty warns Chaldea that the Alien God seeks to merge with ORT, and the moment she does Earth will lose.[6] Daybit Sem Void seeks to awaken ORT and have it devour CHALDEAS to destroy the world. He claims this is fulfilling his role as a Crypter: to destroy the planet before everything is hollowed out.[7]
When ORT does awaken, Chaldea summons every Servant they have ever met before and uses them to try and stop it from climbing Mictlan. But because of ORT's vampiric ability to copy the traits of beings it devours, it begins to take on Servant traits of its own as it defeats and devours the Servants. After its physical body is destroyed by U-Olga Marie and the Hume-Barrel Rayproof, it uses that assimilated Servant traits to summon itself as a Servant. The Grand Foreigner Servant ORT is defeated by Chaldea, but merely summons itself again in a stronger form; it is finally destroyed for good by Kukulkan, because, in her words, only ORT can defeat ORT.[8][9][10][11]
Abilities[]
ORT is an Ultimate One that previously resided in the Oort CloudWP[1] surrounding the edges of Milky WayWP galaxy.[2] It is described as the toughest and most inexplicable creature in the world of Magecraft, known for its skin that is both hard, soft, hot, and cold, and a creature that produces energy via internalized nuclear fusion and converting everything it touches into crystal. ORT is so difficult to understand that humanity can only hope that their technology can advance enough to analyse it in the year 3000.[6]
ORT's arrival in the Lostbelt's history 66 million years ago lead to an impact so devastating that it was considered an Mass Extinction-level event, one that incinerated the whole surface and caused the whole super-continent of Pangea to become a volcanic wasteland.[2][6]
ORT's very presence emits cosmic rays that are lethal to all life without sufficient radiation protection. Even getting near to its branches would give a creature a fatal dose of radiation, even to Servants.[8] The radiation leakage is so bad that the eighth and ninth layers of the 1000-kilometer tall Mictlan - each layer estimated to have at least 1,000,000 kilometers of open space - are completely uninhabitable, both due to poisonous fog and from the cosmic rays emitted from the comatose ORT. These cosmic rays only disappear once a year for 5 days, after which they return and kill anything still on those layers, and even cause electronic equipment such as drones to malfunction and shut down. The only being known to be able to survive on those layers with the gas and rays is Camazotz.[12][2]. The five day period is inferred to be caused by occasional attempted regrowth of the Fantasy Tree's bark reducing the leakage of cosmic rays from ORT temporarily.[13]
ORT's Saint Graph possesses a capacity greater than that of Beast VII U-Olga Marie, who Senji Muramasa believed to already be the strongest on Earth.[1] Compared to the capacity of U-Olga Marie being given an arbitrary value of "level 1,000," Sion Eltnam Sokaris evaluates that she would reach "level 10,000" were she to integrate ORT into herself. Should such an event occur, Chaldea's Excalibur armament would be rendered useless.[6]
As a completely alien lifeform ORT lacks a Concept of Death and is unable to die by natural means, and must be destroyed physically.[14] Tezcatlipoca describes life as one something can die. Even if it's a machine, if it can die its can be considered alive. Regular life, even if every part of its body is replaced with an identical functional copy of itself, will not return to life after having died. Even with advances in medical technology, if a being's heart or brain is destroyed, that being will die. ORT is less like a lifeform and more like phenomenon, something that refuses to die. Even if it dies, ORT will eventually reactivate as long as its shape remains, and do so automatically with no limit to what can be healed. Each and every one of its cells, from its toes to its nervous system to its brain to its heart, are all considered equally unimportant to ORT as every one of its cell contains every one of its functions.[8] When ORT reaches Beni-enma's underworld border in its attempt to climb to the surface, she turns back into Beni-enma Alter and imbues ORT with the Concept of Death. [11]
Skills[]
- Revolution Web (レヴォルーション・ウェブ?) - Silver strings thought to normally be used for ORT's interstellar travel are used to bind opponents. Against Servants, this keeps them from being able to escape at will.
- Ether Drinker (エーテル・ドランカー?) - ORT's large-scale spatial interference causes it to steal Magical Energy from opponents.
- Dark Matter Plankton (ダークマター・プランクトン?) - ORT absorbs strengthening effects through "strange microbial life" swimming through dark matter.
- Ernst Union (エルンスト・ユニオン?) - Through a transmutation effect applied by ORT's metallic tentacles, enemies are given weakening effects upon being struck.
- Galactica Supercell (ギャラクティカ・スーパーセル?) - ORT generates space storms that continuously damage opponents.
- Paradigm Inflation (パラダイム・インフレーション?) - ORT analyzes abilities utilised in front of it, allowing it to partially copy them, and those effects applied to itself are multiplied.
- Paradox Canceller (パラドックス・キャンセラー?) - Through a high frequency of applying a self-purification process to itself, ORT is able to disassemble any negative effects applied to it and turn them into strengthening effects.
- Starring Invade (スターリング・インヴェイド?) - ORT's encroachment on the surrounding environment overwrites any external effects applied to it by the abilities of others.[15]
The Sea of Fantasy Trees[]
The ORT from Nahui Mictlan is different from the one in Proper Human History due to having been adapted to the "what if" history of the Lostbelt.[9] Right before its dormancy, ORT infested and consumed the Fantasy Tree Quasar on the 9th layer. As a result, even though the Fantasy Tree withered, its functions were inherited by ORT.[8] Through the course of its own evolution, ORT changed its Reality Marble so that it could transform Earth's vegetation into Fantasy Trees through its endemic eroding Bounded Field.[9]
When ORT reactivates for the first time during the events of the South American Lostbelt, it activates said ability, causing gravitational fluctuations in the lowest layer and overwriting the Texture from the lowest layer on up. Nemo Marine states that the Space-time continuum transfer rate is -3.6 per second. The Reality Marble transforms all the plants of the earth into 'Fantasy Trees' and creates an environment suitable for itself. A galactic hell created in the depths of the earth, overwritting the South American Lostbelt with a new one titled Sea of Fantasy Trees Travelogue: ORT Xibalba (空想樹海紀行 オルト・シバルバー, Kūsōju kai kikō Oruto Shibarubā?), alternatively The One Who Rules the Planet (惑星を統べるもの, Wakusei o suberu-mono?). The greatest, most terrible Lostbelt, with Lostbelt readings being completely immeasurable, and capable of deploying Fantasy Tree Seeds stronger than any Chaldea had encountered previously, each Seed at an estimated danger level of B+ rank. [9]
After being defeated by Beast I: Lost and fusing with the Fantasy Tree, ORT's carcass became a seedling of the Fantasy Tree and the cornerstone of Mictlan.[16] As such, the Lostbelt can no longer be defeated by destroying ORT due to the numerous Fantasy Trees; even defeating ORT would be unlikely to cause the trees to stop functioning, and even one tree remaining will allow the Lostbelt to remain.[9] Each tree contains massive amounts of energy and contain galaxies within them, but they individually do not contain the same amount of energy as Mictlan's sun. Compared to the one in Russia, these are much smaller and would be akin to the tips of branches by comparison. Tepeu states that although it should be impossible for the galaxies inside of the trees to be real, he can't help but recognise them as such. They don't use the energy of the galaxies to maintain the Lostbelt; as long as the shape of the tree is the same and the trees hold a galaxy within them, the Lostbelt will persist. The Fantasy Tree Seeds destroyed all non-plant life they came across, crystallized their forms before shattering them into stardust that scatters in the wind, and ORT seems capable of calling the seeds to attack the Storm Border.[10] Later, Kukulkan uses her Interstellar Voyage Engine to detonate the sun, killing ORT Xibalba and preventing it from being resummoned by destroying the ORT cells within her as well, and used the leftover energy to destroy the Fantasy Trees,[11] despite only having a few cycles left of her lifespan before she dies and explodes.[2]
Vampire[]
ORT has the vampiric ability to copy the traits of creatures it consumes. This is what allowed it to assimilate the Fantasy Tree and transform its own Reality Marble, as well as what caused its evolution into its own subspecies by adapting to the "What-if" history of the Lostbelt. By consuming Servants, a process described by Sion as "Servant resource conservation", it destroyed their Saint Graphs Data held by Chaldea in its entirety, and in addition ORT also destroyed their link to the Throne of Heroes, preventing those Servants from being resummoned ever again as well as preventing the summoned Servants from returning to the Throne. Da Vinci explains that Heroic Spirits, as Ghost Liners, are recorded strips of the limits we achieved, and are basically the time period the hero was active that is recorded as a phenomenon by our universe itself. It is this that ORT had consumed with Servants - it is literally eating Human History. And when consuming the Servants, it also uses them as terminals to reach its web-limbs from its current plane of existence into the higher dimension where the Throne resides in and damage the main information recorded on the Throne itself. However, as information cannot be destroyed, ORT is instead storing the information within itself to utilize it, becoming more important in the view of the cosmos. By destroying ORT in its entirety, all the contained information will be released and the Servant information will be returned to the Throne.[10]
As it consumed countless Servants during its battles against Chaldea, it assimilated the capabilities of Servants into itself. After ORT's Galactica Supercell is defeated, it uses the assimilated Servant traits to copy the Servant summoning spell and, while using the assimilated traits of the Fantasy Tree to formulate a summarization of 300 million years of Lost History to create of virtual future for itself, summon itself in the custom-made Grand Foreigner class once it had been designated a Heroic Spirit.[11]
Due to absorbing U-Olga Marie's heart, ORT now see U-Olga Marie to be a part of himself, and has the urge to capture, disassemble and absorb her. Although he was stopped, he still managed to absorb and additional 30% of her body in under a minute. Kirei also explains to U-Olga that, due to ORT now having her heart, if she were to try and fuse with it like originally planned, she not be able to control it and instead be turned into ORT's subsystems.[8]
Limitations[]
ORT lacks a capacity for critical thinking. Due to having its heart removed by Camazotz and to power the sun of Mictlan, and because Malla tricked it into dormancy as soon as it was weakened by its heart being ripped out, ORT is rendered inactive because it still detects its heart without recognizing it isn't in its body, like trying to start a car without realizing the engine is absent. This effect lasts six million years, but Tezcatlipoca notes that ORT would inevitably reactivate on its own once the stolen heart reaches the end of its lifespan. However, he states that ORT would only run amok a bit halfheartedly before getting tired and leaving the planet, since its primary prey of humans in the Lostbelt were already extinguished. To destroy the world properly, they need a sacrifice of someone with the will to destroy the planet without a shred of doubt, enough to overwrite ORT's instincts. This sacrifice was initially planned to be Izcalli due to his hatred and desire for vengeance against Proper Human History, but in the end he lacked the conviction to completely destroy the planet, leading to his disposal and for Daybit to instead sacrifice himself and U-Olga's heart to ORT.[8][10]
Upon reactivating with U-Olga Marie's heart and stealing another 30% of her body,[8] ORT is still incomplete due to its original heart still being active as the sun of Mictlan. As its heart is not destroyed but merely active somewhere else, it does not have the command to regenerate its heart. In a lower energy mode, it substitutes its heart and brain through its other parts and moves through the independent movement provided by each of its components generating their own energy, the motion of its limbs and the rotation of its "saucer". In a complete state, it would likely have the capacity to wipe out the entirety of Mictlan instantly, rather than the prolonged battle against Chaldea.[10]
Despite the power boost from absorbing U-Olga Marie's heart and part of her body, ORT does not seem to possess the same immunity to U-Olga's powers that Daybit had when he possessed her heart. This lack of immunity shows in both ORT's brief appearance from the future taking minor damage from U-Olga's pseudo-black hole,[7] but also him being susceptible to U-Olga's Tachyon Jail.[11]
Forms and Alternate Versions[]
Stage 1[]
Abilities[]
In this state, ORT possesses a Satellite-Class Saint Graph and SHEBA tags it with maximum levels of both danger and hostility. Mash Kyrielight advises Ritsuka Fujimaru to set their Mystic Code's temperature regulation to the maximum. Habetrot believes it is impossible for them to fight ORT.[9]
Kukulkan was able to cut through ORT's metal threads forming a spider web. She helps Chaldea fight ORT until it ceases activity and starts to reactivate itself for the first time.[9]
ORT was able to climb through the planet's MantleWP completely unscathed.[9]
In battle, it main form of attack is growing tentacles from its body and launching them near its targets, then having the tentacles instant grow honeycomb spheres of brambles containing vast green energy. These spheres quickly expand while growing giant spikes to skewer nearby creature, before the spheres explode in bursts of green energy and metal thorns. Another method of attack has ORT release a large of amount of golden energy as it raise its front appendages and holds them out wide, before slamming the two metal limbs together and release several ringing blasts of golden, resonance vibrations of energy to both wound and deafen its targets.[17]
It's Skills at this stage are:
- PP Chain / Seven Ethers (PP
- Cosmic Ray (コズミックレイ?)
It's Noble Phantasm is Cosmic Ray Burst (コズミックレイ・バースト?), where it raises its saucer body to be horizontal to the ground. The saucer charges a glowing golden light in its centre before, in one quick burst, spitting out dozens of light fragments into the sky above the battlefield. These fragments quickly glow a gold-green before releasing countless thunderbolt-like blasts of energy straight below them, tearing up the ground and striking ORT's enemies.
Reactivated[]
After being seemingly defeated by Kukulkan, ORT ceases activity. Its body temperature begins to cool down starting from the exterior layers. Da Vinci soon realizes that ORT wasn't knocked out by damage and that it isn't rebooting to fight back Chaldea. Instead, it is reactivating for the first time.[9]
Appearance[]
ORT's body is larger than in his previous form. Da Vinci estimates that he is 100 meters tall just like in Tezcatlipoca's vision.[9]
Abilities[]
While reactivating for the first time, ORT's Saint Graph increased from Satellite to Stellar-Class. Da Vinci states that ORT's spiritual output and size are an order of magnitude higher than in its previous dormant form. Sion Eltnam Sokaris calls ORT's "shell" indestructible, in addition to having been fused with the Fantasy Tree. However, she believes that it is inferior to the one in Proper Human History in both output and in destructive instincts, due to having adapted to the "What-if" history of the Lostbelt. For this reason, Sion states that it could be considered an ORT Subspecies (ORT亜種?).[9] Captain Nemo states that ORT is in an incomplete state due to missing its heart/combustion engine. All of its different parts, its limbs and such, are completely independent of one another. While in "power saving mode", each of these different limbs and generates its own power source through movement and by rotating its "saucer".[10]
Tezcatlipoca regards ORT as a weapon capable of destroying Proper Human History,[18] as well as destroy the planet itself.[7] A planet-eater that will spin its webs across the planet and destroy it, showcased as forming cracks throughout the Earth filled with green energy and fire, and then exploding the Earth into space debris.[7] Da Vinci believes ORT to be capable of destroying Chaldea's base in the Arctic, including CHALDEAS. She states that destroying it would take something strong enough to destroy the actual Earth itself as it is a miniature model of the planet. An impact like that would shatter 40% of the Earth's surface, wiping out not only the Lostbelts, but Proper Human History as well.[9]
Combat[]
According to TRISMEGISTUS II, it would take ORT 20 hours to cross Mictlan. During that time, Chaldea planned to engage ORT in an all-out war with all of their available Servants. Sion Eltnam Atlasia jokes about it by calling it a Temple of Time rerun. When TRSMEGISTUS was asked for the probability of success of this strategy, all it answered was "Yes".[9] When Ritsuka Fujimaru summons weaker Servants to test ORT's battle capabilities, they are crystallised and consumed by ORT.[9]
Ereshkigal Alter was also able to set an Anti-ORT barrier comprised of 1000 Gugalanna legs. Although Mash Kyrielight claims that they are packed so closely together that not even an ant could get through, ORT was able to break through it with ease. After claiming she was caught by surprise, Ereshkigal gets serious, changing into the offensive. She places legs throughout the entire Underworld and increases the spatial density of Mictlan's sixth layer by expanding and compressing the territory, impedimenting ORT's advance. While she slows downs ORT with red lightning, she provides the Magical Energy necessary to sustain the Saint Graphs of the Servants manifested by Ritsuka Fujimaru, allowing him to summon them without limitations. Furthermore, she grants them the Blessing of the Underworld as well. Ereshkigal puts out so much Od that her own Saint Graph starts unraveling, starting from her fingertips. Dumuzid states that any further burden would be a violation of the International Divine Spirit Law, however, she continues to push herself as long as Fujimaru retains the will to fight. Ereshkigal fought so hard that she became the Third Underworld itself, eventually causing ORT's body to start crumbling down at the cost of her own Saint Graph vanishing. Dumuzid claims that the power Ereshkigal demonstrated there would have even fought off the Vanguard of a Civilization-Reaping Star. However, this time, it was just a bad matchup, with Dumuzid stating that ORT is a being that eats planets and that it cannot be defeated by anything native to our planet. ORT resumes its advance after revealing that its true body is the flying Galactica Supercell and not the spider-like limbs that were destroyed.[10]
At this stage, a new Skill used is Analyze/Decode/Disable
Galactica Supercell[]
ORT's true body is the Galactica Supercell (ギャラクティカ・スーパーセル, Gyarakutika Sūpāseru?), the saucer-shaped component on its back. Due to this, it is regarded as a true unidentified flying objectWP. The spider-like body extending from the Supercell is nothing more than a dead structure of waste material, similar to human hair or nails made of keratinWP.[10]
Abilities[]
In this form, it launches even more intense attacks compared to before.[19] However, ORT is still weakened in this state due to missing its heart. Captain Nemo stated that if ORT were to reclaim the sun of Mictlan, Chaldea would lose any chances of possibly beating it.[11]
ORT flies faster than Vucub while carrying the Solar Itinerancy at max speed. Despite this, Jingle Abel Meuniere didn't believe ORT to be capable of closing 10km in a matter of seconds, and was terrified by its ability to do so. However, once ORT attacks the Storm Border, Meuniere stated that it would take it 20 seconds to cross 4 km.[11]
Combat[]
The Ocelomeh tried to repel ORT,[11] however, even with the weapons supplied by Tamamo Vitch Koyanskaya's NFF Services,[20] they weren't able to damage it.[11] Tenochtitlan was able to momentarily stop ORT in its tracks using Ōmeteōtl Tenochtitlan's momentum, whose body is bigger inside her city than when she was beaten by Nitocris Alter. Being unable to stop ORT's spinning motion, Tenochtitlan's arms soon started to break down and fall off in their original stone form. Although the Ocelomeh's morale was able to boost her and allow her to reconstruct herself, she was destroyed permanently soon after.[11]
Chaldea devised a plan to neutralize ORT's Immortality with an 80% success rate. While Kingprotea Alter held still ORT and stopped its rotation with Airavata King Size, Beni-enma Alter bisected its organs and granted it the Concept of Death using the angelic technique that the First Hassan taught her. Although these attacks didn't change ORT's progress, they supposed an edge in Chaldea's next battle against ORT. According to TRISMEGISTUS II, destroying 60% of ORT's outer shell would weaken it enough so that a blast from the Storm Border's main cannon at point-blank range should finish it off.[11]
After Tepeu used his Mystic Eyes of Death Perception to wound ORT, Chaldea finally faced it. Kadoc Zemlupus stated that as long as ORT doesn't have the means of attacking the Storm Border from further than 10km away, they should be fine. ORT starts to speed up and attacks them with its metal tentacles which can stretch as far as 20 kilometers. Captain Nemo is able to protect the border by setting the electromagnetic barriers to maximum output. However, this is solution is just momentary, as they simply keep getting stronger. Although Chaldea could shoot them down using the ship's torpedos, doing so at such a short range would damage the ship as well. Ikusautsuwa-no-Oomikami arrives to their support and protects the ship with a Type 79 Iz Tula Seven Drive constructed by the Eleven Deinonychus Brothers.[11]
After ORT neutralizes the first Hume-Barrel Rayproof shot using its newly reactivated Solar Storm, U-Olga Marie enables the Tachyon Jail, one of her seven super Authorities. Normally, ORT's speed of regeneration outpaces all conventional means of destroying it. Therefore, attacking ORT in regular space-time is inefficient. However, inside of U-Olga Marie's accelerated space-time, they gain a second chance to fire the Holy Sword cannon. After firing it, the Galactica Supercell is destroyed permanently.[11]
In battle, it attacks mainly with yellow tube-like appendages, different from it's normal metal tentacles on its spider body. Tipped with plant-like spikes, these appendages suddenly slither out from small ports that appear and open from multiple angles on ORT's body, and extending in the same motion to their targets. These claws not only pierce, but deliver some form of green energy to those they make contact with to cause brief but bloody bursts, severely wounding or killing their targets. There can be as few as four appendages and as many as nine.[17]
Solar Storm[]
ORT's exogenous organs allow it to generate energy through nuclear fusion as well as high concentrations of cosmic rays and a massive gravitational pull. When the Galactica Supercell manifested for the first time, its internal temperature skyrocketed and rapidly reached 10,000 degrees. Although Da Vinci first estimated that it would reach 1 million degrees, she later corrected herself saying that it would not stop once Inflation began. The Solar Storm is compared to a swarm of thunderstorms from outer space.[10] Beni-enma Alter states that it could easily break her and Kingprotea Alter up.[11] Design details note that in Galactica Supercell state, ORT's core, along with the cores of the energy projectiles and beams ORT fires, reach 1 trillion degrees.[19]
After Beni-enma Alter bisected ORT's organs, it momentarily lost the ability to produce the Solar Storm. Instead of regenerating, ORT recreated itself with a whole new concept. This had it create new organs that allow it to generate space storms that increase its own amount of matter and generated gravity by at least double and enable it to distort the trajectory of the Hume-Barrel Rayproof beam away off-target when Chaldea attacked ORT for the first time. In the aftermath, it expelled all aged and unneeded cells, using them in reforming its spider-shaped corneum once more. However, Sion Eltnam Sokaris was able to calculate a trajectory that would directly hit even through the gravity field.[11]
Noble Phantasm[]
ORT's Noble Phantasm is Lost Supernova. Hovering high into the centre of its solar storm, it releases tendrils of energy that vaguely create and nervous system-like body in the shape of its spider form. Charging vast amounts of power in both its saucer form and through its nervous-system energy form, unleashes three large beams of green-yellow energy from various central nerve clusters, along with dozens of thinner green beams from the rest of its nerve body that fire and sweep in random directions around it. A fourth beam, most powerful one, is fired from it's saucer body and instead of destroying indiscriminately, it is aimed directly at his target opponents.
Grand Foreigner[]
- Main article: ORT Xibalba
Development[]
ORT originally being thought to be from Mercury but actually being from the Oort cloud is a pun. Spider of Mercury (水星のクモ?) and cloud of comets (彗星の雲?) (referring to the Oort cloud) are both pronounced the same in Japanese, as "suisei no kumo".
Creation and Conception[]
PFALZ was responsible for the design for ORT in 2006. PFALZ redesigned ORT in 2022 for its debut in Fate/Grand Order.[21][22][23][24]
ORT was developed with the concept of "hopeless despair" much like a hidden boss monster in a RPG that is more dangerous than the final boss. It would invoke someone to think "WTF man, did you losers bother to think about game balance omgwtflolz?" when it is the player's fault for fighting it. Due to it being unable to truly understand the concepts of Earth, "If you're searching for romance, it's your personal business."[14]
« When i designed the first form of ORT i was told that it was supposed to be "waste matter removed from the rank 100m ORT" So, I designed it to resemble a giant disc from which smaller discs fell off and took the form of a spider. When renewing the design from the previous ORT, the instruction was given to make it 'more insect-like.' Therefore, I took inspiration from the silhouette of sea spiders and the spider geoglyph in Nazca. Although it's referred to as a 'spider,' it's not a creature from Earth, so I thought it would be best to draw references from organisms that have some similarities to spiders on Earth. » |
(PFALZ) |
Within the context of Fate/Grand Order's gameplay, ORT is consistently always "Level 1" regardless of its state of being, and the difficulty level for its fights are labelled "Lv.EX", when the normal highest difficult level is "Lv.90++".
Reception[]
- In the Type-Moon's 10th Anniversary Character Poll, ORT was ranked 166th.

[] Character Material - ORT, p.070-071 Introduction - ORT
Details unknown. Apparently landed in South America before the Common Era. As an attack-type lifeform, boasts power on a level far beyond anything else. The former 5th Ancestor attempted to capture it and was killed in seconds. Afterwards, treated as an Ancestor when it was discovered to have vampiric like properties.
Alien entity some 40 meters tall covered with outer skin that is harder, more flexible, more temperature resistant, and sharper than any other substance on the surface.
Said that as long as the battleground is earth, it has no weakness.
In addition to the ridiculously high attack parameters of the main body, it also possesses a special ability similar to Reality Marbles - Crystal Valley.
Explanation - Crystal Valley
Invasion by a horrifying but beautiful landscape.
While some magi and the 27 Ancestors control internal worlds called "Reality Marbles", the one that ORT has is on a completely different level.
ORT is a "visitor from another planet".
By just him (?) being there, the Earth is changing to the environment he lived in. That is, the rewriting of physical laws, a leaking of his "alien order/system".
If man is that which destroys the planet, then ORT is an invader that paints the earth world into an alien planet.
Well, thankfully ORT's a good-for-nothing spider that doesn't intend to hurt the planet...but....well, it might just be because he's (?) not interested in invading
But alas, of course nobody would understand the circumstances of ORTy, so bigshots from a lotta agencies try messing with (him) thinking that they'd better do something about Mr. Dangerous Lifeform as soon as possible......and end up getting annihilated instead.
Explanation 02 - Memorandum
Base concept being "hopeless despair". If this was an RPG, ORTy would be the hidden boss that's stronger than the last boss. "WTF man, did you losers bother to think about game balance omgwtflolz?" No, no, it's your fault for messing with him (?).
ORT just can't learn the culture of earth, but it's thought that he(?) has the ability to partially simulate the creatures he preys on. But since this is just a simulation, even if he (?) said something humanish, that'd just be a repeat of something else. If you're searching for romance, it's your personal business.
Oh, and ORT thinks that the Earth life form that had the strongest flavor to it (in an ORTish sort of way) was the former 5th Apostle.
Just movement by ORT will cause the trees around him to crystallize, forming a crystal valley (spider web).
But as a side note, while ORT crystallising many trees simply by moving around was my early visual image for Crystal Valley, PFALZ's spider web idea for the Crystal Valley's river was amazing so I went with that. Also, many of the designs I asked PFALZ to create were based on the information in this book, which he compiled in an amusing way. He's like a rival, isn't he!? A super U.F.O. The strongest aggressive creature. It's an amazing design from another dimension! Or rather something that not even Arc win against!! Someone better get Ultram@n over here!

Ultimate One of Mercury (?).
Companion to the Ultimate Ones that appear in the Sci-Fi short story Notes.... though due to some hick-up, this clutz has landed on Earth a bit early (about 5000 years or so).
The truth is... it's actually not one of the "ultimate species" that intercepted Earth's SOS signal, or something.
By the way, the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception can’t kill it. It does not possess the concept of death, so you'll have to destroy it physically.Introduction -
Explanation -
Explanation 02 -
