PercivalWP (パーシヴァルWP, Pāshivaru ?), Class Name Lancer (ランサー, Ransā?), is a Lancer-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
He is also summoned alongside Rider-class Sinfjötli as the two Servants of Gagam Istorre in the Doubles Subcategory Holy Grail War of Fate:Lost Einherjar.

Identity[]
Percival, the Holy Knight of the Dove (白鳩の聖なる騎士?),[1] was a member of the Knights of the Round Table, led by King Arthur, holding the 2nd Seat. He grew up in the forest and embarked on a quest for the Holy Grail alongside Sir Galahad and Sir Bors.

An honourable knight, occasionally referred to as an unadulterated fool. A spearmaster, a knight who has witnessed the miracle of the Holy Grail, a compassionate knight who has saved the lives of many. He is also a knight who safeguards Longinus, a holy lance different from the one possessed by the King of Knights.
The Holy Grail was destined to be summoned to Heaven together with Galahad, whereas the Holy Spear Longinus was destined to remain on Earth. In this story rendition, Sir Percival is said to be the one who brought back the Holy Spear. Percival the Knight also makes an appearance in Wagner'sWP last opera, ParsifalWP. In this opera, he is depicted as the person who recovers and inherits the Holy Spear.[2]
Percival's enemy in the search for the Holy Spear was Klingsor.[5] Kundry, who served Klingsor, was Percival's true love.[1] She was Percival's first kiss,[6] and though her kisses had the power to enthrall men Percival never lost sight of himself, which allowed him to confront Klingsor.[5] During their battle Klingsor used Longinus on Percival, only for Percival to take the spear's magical energy from the attack and throw it back at him. Percival then returned the energy to the spear, recompleting it.[5] When he obtained the spear, flowers left by Kundry bloomed around the throne of Klingsor's fortress.[5][6]
Kundry is cursed to reincarnate eternally and serve men of strength in every life, only to be used as a tool and cast aside, until she is at last united with him and granted the salvation of death.[1]
According to legend, while Galahad, Percival, and Bors were on their quest for the Holy Grail they were led by Percival's sister to the ship of King Solomon. They sailed the ship to an island where Galahad obtained the Sword of the Strange Hangings. The sword doesn't look like much, but you won't find many relics more sacred. It is holy enough to stand against the Holy Spear Longinus for a few blows.[7]
Appearance[]
According to Mordred, Percival never wore a helmet.[8] His shoulderplate was originally a shield, but eventually he decided to wear it as armor because doing so means he can use his spear at the same time.[3]

Personality[]
He is someone who looked up to King Arthur more than anyone else.[9] He was the man that every knight in the Round Table trusted the most. Gawain could relax his guard around him, and ask for advice. Gawain feels that when Percival was still alive was probably the Round Table's golden age.[3]
He dislikes men cheating on their spouses.[3]
He was small and timid as a child.[3]
Besides Galahad, Percival may be the only other Knight of the Round Table worthy to obtain the Holy Grail.[10]
He will heap on a mountain of food on your plate for every meal.
A sincere guardian knight who values decorum. On other occasions he has been described as pure-hearted. He acts calmly, without doubting or losing his temper at others. He is well-liked by children and animals that meet him for the first time, though said person is unaware of this fact. When he was alive, he used to stand in Camelot's garden in the morning sunlight, letting little birds rest on his shoulders and arms.
It is during battle that he shows a harsher side of himself. But only during battle.
A very caring person. He frequently fusses over his juniors, especially those younger than him. He also wants to take good care of Master. This is because he genuinely wants to protect and raise the youth who will grow up to become outstanding heroes in the future. His objects of affection in the Round Table include the young Gareth, the apprentice knight Bors, and Sir Lancelot's son Galahad.
"Sir Percival is more of a big brother to me than my actual big brothers," Gareth declared with a smile when she was still alive.
...Hearing these words after Gareth's death, Percival stood in the now-empty garden of Camelot and wept alone.[2]
After learning about his Lostbelt version and his relationship with Melusine, Percival wishes to befriend her.[6]

Percival and the other Knights, apart from Bedivere and Galahad, are summoned by the Lion King. The Lion King tells them to choose to either help her with her "Holy Selection" or side against her, giving them a half a day to think. Percival politely talks with all other knights and then weeps alone afterward.[12]
Percival ultimately sides against the Lion King, being killed in the following battle against his fellow knights.

Percival is summoned by Gagam Istorre in the Doubles Subcategory Holy Grail War, a Grail War where each Master summons two Servants who fight as a team. His partner is Rider, Sinfjötli. Percival is renowned as being a Servant who has won many Subcategory Holy Grail Wars in the past.[13]
Percival fights Aslaug and Ragnar Lodbrok at Oslo's city hallWP in the first battle of the Doubles Subcategory Grail War. When Ragnar describes his appearance to his Master Lemina Eltfromm Yggdmillennia, she immediately recognizes who Percival is from the description and orders her Servants to retreat.[13]

In Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver, Percival was mentioned to also have been involved in the hunt for the Questing Beast.[14]
In Fate/Requiem, Percival is mentioned as Kundry's true love, and she will not be able to die for good until she reunites with him.[1]
Abilities[]
Being a Knight of the Round Table, Percival is one of the greatest knights to ever live and a hero sung of in legends. As such, when summoned as a Servant, he boasts indisputable fame and strength.[15] When it comes to Heroic Spirits, Percival would be the "cream of the crop" like the other Knights of the Round Table. He can be summoned using a piece of the Round Table as a catalyst.[16]

Just from striking Percival once, Bradamante can tell that he is strong, and that he is not someone her spear can reach.[5]
In his final Ascension, Percival wields a shield attached to his left shoulder. He can skillfully use it alongside his spear to repel attacks from Mordred and Gareth simultaneously.[5]

- Magic Resistance (B++ Rank): Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by greater magecraft and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected. Normally C but his Noble Phantasm raises its Rank.[4]
- Riding (C+ Rank): Percival is an excellent rider and expert jouster. He was once even able to match Lancelot while on horseback.[4]

- Guardian Knight (Holy Lance) (B+ Rank): A skill that signifies one as a virtuous knight who protects the Holy Spear. This skill seems similar to but is distinctive from the Guardian Knight skill, a skill that is quite rare.[2]
- Light of Salvation (B Rank): Emits a light that has protective and restorative effects. One out of the multiple secondary effects of the Holy Spear that became a skill. This effect can be used at any time without having to unlock the spear's two seals.[2]
Noble Phantasm[]
Percival's Noble Phantasm is Longinus Count Zero. It grants Percival excellent protective and healing properties powerful enough to nullify Bradamante's Bouclier de Atlante. Mordred says she would need to go all out with Clarent to get past Percival's protection.[5]
Other Capabilities[]
- According to Gawain in Fate/Grand Order, Percival had a knack when it came to cooking with root vegetables. Gawain was only second best after him.
- Gawain, who claims to be among the most skilled chess players at the Round Table, regards Percival and Galahad as his worthy rivals.[17]

Once its True Name is released, Longinus displays the transcendental might once shown when Sir Balin, with the Holy Spear in hand, fought King Pellam. The general term for the knights who left their names in King Arthur’s legend. They are called the Knight of the Round Table because they gathered around a round table along with King Arthur. The knights sitting around the table were all regarded as equal to one another, including the King himself, and they were admired throughout the country. Though the number of them varies according to each story, the standard pattern of thirteen knights is accepted in “Fate/stay night”.
In the “Apocrypha” world, the separate splinters from the Round Table serve as summoning catalysts for Heroic Spirits.
