Background[]
Rodin is the conductor of the Mystic Eyes Collection Train, Rail Zeppelin. He has the exact same name as the famous sculptor August RodinWP.[5]
Appearance[]
A grave, stony-faced bone-thin man who speaks little. He wears a black uniform indicating him as staff and possesses a silver pocket watch.

He first introduces himself to the passengers, explaining to them the route the Rail Zeppelin would take for the journey and the rules of the auction.[5] After announcing a two-hour stop, he later appears to explain that Gray managed to see the elusive Rail Zeppelin Deputy Manager and explains her role.[6] As him and Leandra discusses the particulars of the auction and what to do about the murder of Trisha Fellows, he notices that the tracks have been diverted towards a Child of Einnashe,[7] and gives the announcement to the passengers over the speakers.[8]
In the anime, he is with Karabo Frampton and Yvette L. Lehrman in asking their help to free the Rail Zeppelin from the Child of Einnashe.[9]

He is one of the people who show up to accompany Waver and Gray in their journey through the Spiritual Tomb of Albion and help them catch up to Doctor Heartless, using the Rail Zeppelin to get there. He himself has a grudge against Heartless for the whole mess that was the Rail Zeppelin incident and how it affected both the train itself as well as its reputation.[10][11]

Because it can run through other worlds, the Rail Zeppelin was able to avoid the bleaching of the Earth caused by the Alien God. However, without rayshift technology, the train cannot breach the Bounded Field of a Singularity. Conductor Rodin and the Deputy Manager are still aboard the train.[12]

He possesses finely tuned senses, able to accurately perceive the ever-changing paths of the leylines, and the skills to manage unstable Magic Furnaces. In the Grand Roll incident, his ability to lead them to the outer layer of the Spiritual Tomb of Albion came from such skills.[4]
