Roland Berzinsky (ローランド・ペルジンスキー, Rōrando Perujinsukī?, Roland Perjinski) is a magus of the Clock Tower studying under the El-Melloi Classroom. As part of the El-Melloi Classroom, he is one of the many Masters of True Rider in the True and False Holy Grail Wars of Fate/strange Fake.

Member of the Berzinsky family, he is related to Rottweil Berzinsky. Studying under Lord El-Melloi II's tutelage, he is one of the students promoted to the ranks of "Brand" or "Pride" within ten years of their tutelage[1] and achieved fame within the Clock Tower.[2]

At some point Roland and Svin Glascheit fought a member of the Zemlupus family who they were forced to negotiate a peaceful resolution with because anti-beast magecraft had a conceptual advantage over theirs. [4]
Roland is one of the representatives of the El-Melloi Classroom who travel to Snowfield during the True and False Holy Grail Wars and appeared leaving the canyon after the death of Flat Escardos and the emergence of Thia Escardos. He is one of the masters of Hippolyta along with the rest of the El-Melloi Classroom, having been granted a portion of a Command Spell by Verner.[3]
After observing Alcides try to damage Gugalanna with his Holy Grail Mud-coated and hydra-poisoned Nine Lives, with the arrows temporarily taking the form of the Hydra itself, Roland discusses with Svin, stating that the Hydra might be the ancestor of all snake venoms and snake curses, which is told to him by his snake familiars, who are all united expressing fear, praise, hatred, and worship for it.[5]

Roland is rumored to have tens of thousands of snake familiars lurking around the world, ready to hunt and assassinate his mentor's enemies.[3]
