Rottweil Berzinsky (ロットウェル・ペルジンスキー, Rottoweru Perujinsukī?), also known Silver Lizard (銀蜥蜴, Gin Tokage?), is the Master of Archer of Red of the Red Faction in the Great Holy Grail War of Fate/Apocrypha.[1] Along with Cabik Pentel, Deimlet Pentel, Jean Rum, and Feend vor Sembren, he is entranced by Assassin of Red and Shirou Kotomine before even meeting his Servant, later coerced into giving up his Command Spells.
Profile[]
Background[]
Rottweil is a freelance magus. Just like the other Red Masters such as Jean Rum and the Pentel brothers, he has fought both together and against Kairi Sisigou at various times in the past.[2][1]
He once participated in a subspecies Holy Grail War that has a maximum of five servants. The organizer declared that this subspecies Holy Grail War objective was to gather Magical Energy. His client hired him to take part in the summoning ritual and killing their respective servant. Rottweil was irritated by this task, to which he reacts by killing his client and the other participants. However the gathered Magical Energy ran wild and caused a large explosion which he barely survived. He had to shed his skin twice to recover.[3]
Appearance[]
Rottweil is a red-haired man, wearing tinted retro circle glasses. Apart from his face, most of his body is covered in silver scales.[2] It seems that he also has the organs of a lizard as well.
Personality[]
He is obsessed with animals, particularly lizards.[2] He likes dark and moist places.[3]
Rottweil also seems to have a very perfidious nature where, in a subspecies Holy Grail War, he killed both his client and his confederates because of how the nature of the war "irritated him," along with the fact that it wasn't written in the job's contract that he couldn't kill his client.[3]
Role[]
Fate/Apocrypha[]
He and the other Red Faction Masters with the exception of Kairi, gathered in Sighisoara. They discussed the Greater Holy Grail War situation, Feend vor Sembren questioning Rottweil's involvement in the subspecies Holy Grail War. Feend reminds Rottweil about their contract and attacking allies are prohibited. Shirou Kotomine enters the room and provided the place of summoning ritual.[3] Rottweil was easily entranced by Semiramis's poison upon her arrival,[2] and him and the other Masters spend their time during the war sharing stories in peace brainwashed in blissful ignorance.[4]
Other appearances[]
Roland Berzinsky (ローランド・ペルジンスキー, Rōrando Perujinsukī?, Roland Perjinski) is a relative of his and was mentioned in Fate/strange Fake and Lord El-Melloi II Case Files. He is one of the disciples of Lord El-Melloi II,[5] and, in Fate/strange Fake, graduates having reached either the ranks of "Brand" or "Pride".[6] Presumably, in a repeat of Fate/Apocrypha, Rottweil may have been one of the magi assembled for an auction of historical artifacts with mystical value who were betrayed and manipulated by one of their allies, ended up rescued by a Lord of the Clock Tower, and, ashamed of their own blunder, enrolled trustworthy members of their family in the Lord's classes.[7]
Abilities[]
Rottweil appears to specialize in body modification as almost all his vital spots besides his face are covered with silver lizard scales.[2] It made his body quite durable as he was able to survive a large explosion from a defective Holy Grail by shedding his skin. He also inherited the mannerisms of reptiles, preferring dark and moist locations.[3]

A Red Master. His nickname is Silver Lizard. Just like the other Red Masters such as Gene Ram and the Pentel Brothers, he has fought both together and against Shishigou at various times in the past. He is obsessed with animals, particularly lizards, and the skin on almost all his vital spots besides his face are covered with silver scales.
He and the others were given such individualistic settings, but they were all completely defeated with Semi-sama’s attack of “Now, now, have a cup of tea”.ロットヴェル・ベルジンスキー【人名】
