Rurihime (瑠璃姫?) is a character in Fate/Requiem. She is the Master of Ushiwakamaru "After" the Holy Grail War.
Profile[]
Background[]
Rurihime is the daughter of the chief priest of Yushima Tenmangū, a Shinto shrine. She is a high school student attending Akibagabara Jyogakukan High School, a prestigious young ladies' school. She is her class representative and is called on by the student council for help. She is part of the "boundary generation" born shortly before the world was changed by the Holy Grail.[1]
Appearance[]
Rurihime is a light-haired teenage girl a bit taller than Erice Utsumi. Her high school uniform consists of a skirt and white blouse, while at home she wears a red and white miko uniform.[1] During the Holy Grail Tournament she was dressed in elegant traditional Japanese robes and heavy facial makeup, matching Ushiwakamaru.[2]
Personality[]
Rurihime is energetic and hotblooded, just like her Servant Ushiwakamaru. She describes herself as a "carefree high school girl". Ushiwakamaru says that she has had an exceptional instinct for fighting ever since she was young, though this also means she doesn't know how to stop until she gets hurt. Rurihime is excited to join the Nightwatch as it gives her a fun action-packed job and lets her escape her school responsibilities while the Colosseum is closed. She hates studying.[1]
She calls Ushiwakamaru by the nickname Shana-kun (シャナくん, Shana-kun?). When Ushiwakamaru glomps her, Rurihime gets her off with an AikidoWP toss.[1]
Role[]
Fate/Requiem[]
The Boy Among the Stars[]
Rurihime and Ushiwakamaru participated in the Holy Grail Tournament that came under attack by Nzambi and her zombies. They survived the attack, and afterward comforted Koharu F Riedenflaus when she mourned the death of Hannibal.[3]
Nostalgic City Shinjuku[]
As Erice intended to leave Mosaic City to go to Fuyuki, she went to Yushima Tenmangū hoping the head priest could handle her job of Nightwatch while she was gone. The head priest assigned the job to Rurihime, who was very excited to do so since it could stave off her boredom with the tournament halted after Nzambi's attack. Ushiwakamaru, equally excited, vowed to be her sword and shield in this endeavor, but also reminded her to work on her magecraft. Rurihime also asked how Koharu was doing, as she had been injured during Nzambi's attack, and said she wanted to fight her again.[1]
Abilities[]
Rurihime has some experience with martial arts, specifically AikidoWP, but does not possess any technical knowledge of magecraft.[1]
