ScáthachWP-SkaðiWP (Scáthach-Skadi) (スカサハWPスカディWP, Sukasaha Sukadi?), Class Name Caster (キャスター, Kyasutā?), is a Caster-class Servant appearing in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.

Profile[]

Identity[]

Scáthach-Skadi was a fusion of Skadi and Scáthach brought about by Odin in the Norse Lostbelt during Ragnarok, before he died while sealing Surtr.[2]

A Servant originating from the Scandinavian Lostbelt. A "completely different person" compared to the Scáthach from the common history of man, recognized as the only god in the Lostbelt, whose nature is closer to being a queen. In this work, Scáthach and Skadi are not perfectly equal in existences, but they mutually influence each other and the term "mixed up" is used. She, who, existed in the Lostbelt as "Scáthach-Skaði", has a particularly high mixing rate with Skaði, hence she has many attributes of the Bride of Gods.[1]

Skaði (Skadi)[]

The Nordic Jötun who originated from the Celtic hero Scáthach, the mountain goddess───many of Skaði's characteristics are revealed. This side of Skadi should rather be expressed as "the Skadi with some of Scáthach's nature" than dark Scáthach.[1]

Skadi's name derives from Old Norse and means "one who scars". According to Prose Edda's "Sayings of Grímnir", she was the daughter of "the Abominable Jötun Þjazi", and lived in the old palace in Realm of Þrymheimr along with her father. After being married to the Nordic Gods, she was named "the Beautiful Bride of the Gods". Skadi is also called Öndurguð (Ski God) as well as Öndurdís (Ski Goddess). She was a master of hunting in the mountains and was also told to be a master of skiing.[1]

According to the Norwegian manuscript "Heimskringla", Skadi had divorced with the Vanir Njörðr and remarried with Odin. Although she is unmarried in this work, it should be noted to the degree that it would be deeply engraved in posterity.[1]

Appearance[]

Compared to the martial-inclined Scáthach, Skadi has more body fat that makes a certain part of her larger, implied to be her bust.[3]

Personality[]

In this current world, she does not have the face of a mentor capable of raising a warrior. She is not a master of martial arts, either. Unlike the Lancer Scáthach who was more approachable, "Did I step on something", "Oh, what a young one (human)", and "Should I welcome you, or should I kill you" are just what makes up the properties of nature (gods). “Blow a breath. Be like a blizzard. And living beings will die.” “Smile. Be like the eternal spring. And life will sprout gorgeously.” Both, are equivalent to her.[1]

The Formidable Queen. The Goddess of Ice and Snow. However... While ruling over the Lostbelt, she felt sorrow in her heart as "someone left behind", but she hid it away. She was a goddess beloved by the other gods and continued to be a suitor, but after the gods perished at the climax of Ragnarök, she became "the last Scandinavian God of the Lostbelt". Therefore─── Actually, she is proportionately tough. Actually, she is proportionately pure. Actually, she is proportionately warm. If one deepens their relationship with her, they will begin to see a face unlike a queen... they will see her true personality. She was neither a god nor a ruler. Even if her title "the Mother of Scandinavia" falls off, she is still a girl.[1]

Her "Chaotic" alignment is self-proclaimed. When she ruled over the Scandinavian Lostbelt, her original purpose was for social order, but it is now different when she was reborn as a Heroic Spirit, or so it is said.[1]

As a Servant of Chaldea, she has full recall of her actions in the Lostbelt, which have become a source of profound grief for her. As she sees it, she not only failed to protect her children, but her very love for them only made them suffer even more. She sometimes says that her capacity for love died with her Lostbelt, and it is only with great difficulty that she has come to terms with what she did to preserve the Lostbelt and its inhabitants.

Relationships[]

Scáthach
"No way. The other me looks much more dignified!?"[4]
"Have a look, Celtic Scáthach. How is it? It is a swimsuit Saint Graph, but personally speaking the scarceness of the cloth is... Hum hum, for someone who is Scáthach, this much is still not enough? I-I see, so that is how it is. ...How difficult."[4]
"I wonder if it was fine to have asked you for advice? Hm? What? "The idea itself was not that bad"? I see, if you say so, I somewhat feel more confident."[4]
Scáthach (Swimsuit)
"Ha, that other me is showing too much skin.[4]
"Awawa, that's so embarassing."[1]
Cú Chulainn
"When I look at him, my chest starts to ache for some reason. Why is that?"[4]
"They make me feel strange. Somehow I can't seem to face them and talk."[1]
"Celtic Child of Light, you are nothing to be afraid of me. Fufufu. If it is me with a swimsuit Saint Graph, I can overwhelm them, the Celtic Scáthach says."[4]
Cú Chulainn (Caster)
"The Cú Chulainn with a Caster Saint Graph? Pff. I do not know him."[4]
Medb
"There are many ways to be a queen. That sort of thing is not bad either."[4]
"There are many ways to go about being a Queen. I have to say her methods aren't bad. ...Or so I thought to myself coolly, but Medb won't stop talking to me."[1]
"Medb, what happens? This is my swimsuit Saint Graph. Medb? Why did you harden and do not say a word? Medb?"[4]
"I-I apologize... I made that part worry. "You didn't ask for counsel"? That is, er, there is also the failure from Christmas, so I had to do something on my own this time... Ah, no, I apologize, I apologize."[4]
Brynhildr
"What a pitiful girl. The great god's curse is tormenting her even now."[4]
"Poor girl... Or so I thought, but recently I've been changing my way of thinking."[1]
Brynhildr (Swimsuit)
"Oooh! Brynhildr! The first daughter of the warrior maidens. I have tried wearing a swimsuit as well."[4]
Valkyries
"I wonder if they will follow the path their eldest sister pursued. I am not involved in this, however."[4]
"Will those girls walk the same path as their older sister? So I wondered, but..."[1]
"Valkyries, you from Proper Human History. Are you doing well? Did Odin not do anything to you?"[4]
"Valkyries, you from Proper Human History. To certainly multiply, I... Ha! Ah, er, n-no, um, I will confess. It is true that I was angry after quarreling with Thrúd and the rest, but I do not recall having summonned new warrior maidens. No, it is not the power of Ibuki-douji. Rather, would it be not of Odin?"[4]
Sigurd
"Is he the real deal? ...Phew, he's the real one, huh."[4]
"I finally managed to get used to him after being summoned. At first I couldn't help but scream "Surtr!" every time we met."[1]
Ibuki-douji (Swimsuit)
"You looked after me for this and that as well. I am indebted to you."[4]
Some Summer Servants
"O' Heroic Spirits who have acquired a swimsuit Spirit Origin. Despite being summer, did I not make you be rather busy? At least for just a little, you enjoyed it, did you not?"[4]

Fate/Grand Order[]

Götterdämmerung: The Eternal Ice-Flame Century[]

Scáthach-Skadi became the King of the Lostbelt, establishing human villages and protecting them with the help of the Valkyrie. However, in order to keep the giants at bay, all humans were forced to reproduce at the age of fifteen and be sacrificed to the giants at the age of twenty-five. Though this arrangement was necessary to protect the humans, it still brought grief to Scáthach-Skadi. She ruled the Lostbelt for three thousand years until modern day 2018. Ophelia Phamrsolone soon arrived and informed her of the Proper History. But, Skadi knew her world was abnormal and unnatural long before.[5] At some later point, she found Sitonai and imprisoned her in her castle dungeon.[6]

Following Sigurd's theft of the Paper Moon, Skadi asks Ophelia why she ordered Sigurd to take it. With her magical snow, she sees and hears everything that occurs in the Lostbelt, including Chaldea establishing a Bounded Field around the Shadow Border to protect themselves from the giants. She reprimands Ophelia for having ordered Sigurd to kill the Chaldean, with exception of Mash, but forgives her upon seeing she cares for Mash. She then tells Sigurd not to kill them, as she forbids such acts in her Lostbelt. She tells Ophelia and Sigurd that if they ever come to know love to cherish it and never let it go. If they're not careful, loveless flames will throw everything out of balance as it has been since the gods came to be.[7]

She later meets with Koyanskaya, the latter delighting in the fact that the castle wasn't made to accommodate humans. Skadi calls humans weak and frail in constant need of a god's boundless love to sustain them. Koyanskaya admits to her disappointment that the Lostbelt is filled with Skadi's love, despite the population being kept at 10, 000. Skadi comments she will not let humans die out, considering all them her beloved children. The same applies to every creature in her domain. However, if they are an enemy, she will kill them. She then tells Koyanskaya how she's keep the population constant and the giants pacified.[8]

Later, she and Ophelia discuss which Losbelt to cooperate with. Skadi discounts the Chinese Lostbelt, along with two of the remaining four. So she accepts Ophelia's original proposal of cooperation with the Atlantic Lostbelt. She then moves the discussion to the incident at Village 23, revealing Napoleon Bonaparte has joined Ritsuka and Mash. She tells Sigurd not to kill them, calling it unnecessary as they may meet their ends by giants or Envoys. After declaring once again that she'll love every being in the Lostbelt, Skadi calls Thrúd for her analysis of Ritsuka's party. Thrúd answers that the transgressors, Chaldea, can be left alone since Skadi permitted them to remain alive. Regarding the Envoys that were destroyed, Thrúd comments they lack the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. She believes she and her sisters won’t have to respond based on what she’s seen in their shared records. Even if they’re forced to confront Chaldea due to circumstance, Thrúd believes either the giants or an Envoy’s self-destruction function will suffice because the transgressors are a human and a Demi-Servant. Skadi expects Ritsuka's party will arrive tomorrow evening.[9]

When Ritsuka's party come to her castle, she refuses to divulge Fantasy Tree Sombrero's location to them. She knows they intend to cut it down, a sin not even she could forgive. However, she will allow them to take the Paper Moon back. She then orders Thrúd to capture them. They fight until Ophelia and Sigurd arrive. Skadi orders Thrúd to stand down under Ophelia’s request so she may speak with Mash. Thrúd complies and turns to spirit form. Then, before the fight between Sigurd and Ritsuka's party can go any further, Skadi demands Ophelia to stop it, noticing how Mash is about to collapse. Ophelia complies and has Sigurd turn to spirit form. Afterwards, Skadi uses her power to render the group's bodies inert. Caenis arrives and tries to kill Ritsuka, but Napoleon stops her. She tries to kill him, but Sigurd stops her, as Skadi doesn't permit killing. She then delivers a message from Kirschtaria Wodime for Skadi, expecting Chaldea to also be there. Following Kirschataria's message, Skadi is fascinated that he wishes to restore the Age of Gods and help the gods take their revenge. She is also amused that he would allow her Lostbelt swallow his if it grows to that extent. Caenis threatens to kill her when Skadi almost recounts Poseidon raping her. Ultimately, though, she agrees to return to the Atlantic Lostbelt.[10]

Ophelia tells Skadi that Ritsuka's party has escaped the castle. She suspects Sitonai told them where Brynhildr is sealed, and requests Skadi to tell her their current location so she and Sigurd can recapture them. Skadi tells her to leave them be, as she already decided to love them as her children. She also knows Sigurd would rather kill the group than capture them. She suggests Ophelia reflect on herself, and give some thought to Mash and Napoleon.[11][12]

When Ritsuka's party return to her castle, Skadi uses power to ensure Sigurd isn't killed by Brynhildr's spear. She also protected everyone from Surtr before he left with Ophelia. Inside, she informs the others that giants are attacking the villages, as her masks meant to pacify them ceased to function with Surtr free. After explaining the Lostbelt's origins, she is infuriated to know that the Sigurd who accompanied Ophelia harbored Surtr's soul. But she does find it unfortunate that Ophelia saw Surtr's soul with her Mystic Eye, allowing Surtr to establish a connection with the Crypter. Fantasy Tree Seeds suddenly crash down. Skadi commands them to die, but to her shock, it is ineffective. Sitonai arrives and reveals Skadi’s connection to Sombrero has been severed. After Sitonai destroys the Seeds, the group suspects Surtr is the new Lostbelt King. Skadi then reveals Sombrero is to the north, camouflaged by her magical snow. After she agrees to help, the group return to the Shadow Border in pursuit of Surtr. Skadi then reveals Sombrero is to the north, camouflaged by her magical snow. She warns Sigurd and Brynhildr that while her runes are keeping their Spiritual Cores intact, the bonds are still fragile. Thus if they expend all their magical energy in battle, Sigurd and Brynhildr's Spiritual Cores will crumble. After Skadi agrees to help, the group return to the Shadow Border in pursuit of Surtr.[2]

Reaching Village 23, Skadi, Brynhildr, Sigurd, and Ortlinde support Sitonia in blocking Surtr's attack with Heracles. Napoleon then sacrifices himself to damage Surtr with his overloaded Noble Phantasm. Before disappearing, he removes Fafnir's curse that Surtr inflicted Ophelia with from her. This last act of Napoleon's inspires Ophelia to join the others in fighting Surtr. She warns if Surtr burns the planet and the Lostbelt becomes the new history, the planet's Texture will be fire. Then, as it is her connection to Surtr, she destroys her Mystic Eye to sever their contract and remove his source of magical energy. This is followed by her using her Sirius Light to rewrite the Losbelt.[13]

Skadi uses the land's remaining mana following Surtr's assault to grant Ritsuka' party flight and her protection so they may fight Surtr. She also has Sitonai support her in this endeavor. Following Surtr's destruction, Skadi and Leonardo da Vinci try to treat the dying Ophelia. But it is fruitless as the cost of using Sirius Light is the user's life.[14]

Sitonai unveils Sombrero to see that Surtr didn't eat all of it. Skadi suspects it remained connected to its roots via a spatial distortion within Surtr's body. Finding their abilities incredible, she wonders where the Fantasy Trees came from, and asks Ritsuka and Mash if they thought the same. Mash confirms they have, and realizes Skadi helped cultivate Sombrero without knowing its origins to create a world without humanity. Skadi dismissively confirms as much. She then ascends her very existence in preparation for her fight against Ritsuka and Mash to protect Sombrero so her world may live. Ortlinde decides to join her of her own free will. Skadi tells Ritsuka and Mash that she'll reveal the identities of the twin ravens they've seen flying around if they defeat her and destroy Sombrero. She then declares she will take the innumerable lives of the Proper History to protect her world of only 10,000, calling its existence a miracle. Sherlock Holmes deduces from these words that Skadi knew her world was abnormal and unnatural long before Ophelia informed her of the Proper History. Confirming Sherlock's deductions, Skadi laments how her world was pruned six months after Surtr was sealed. She further laments she still lacks the power to support more villages, beyond those created in the first six months. She admits her world has no real future, yet fights Ritsuka and Mash with Ortlinde to protect it.[5]

After Sombrero's destruction following her defeat, Skadi laments she couldn't protect Ortlinde. Sherlock asks why she fought Ritsuka and Mash at their full strength, even though she was still weakened from the battle against Surtr. Mash says Skadi could've used the death rune like Surtr tried to in the end. Skadi replies her pride wouldn't allow it, as she is obligated to protect all in the Lostbelt. She also reveals her magical energy was being spent restoring the land, repairing the villages, and treating the wounded following Surtr's attack. She therefore never had much magical energy to spare for her fight against Ritsuka and Mash. Then, noticing the twin ravens, Skadi reveals they are Huginn and Muninn. She also realizes they were guiding Chaldea all this time, Then, as Sombrero disappears, she reveals to Chaldea its given name, suspecting they will understand what it means. After Chaldea leaves, Skadi orders all the villagers to stay in their homes and sleep. Following her death, the Envoys deliver her final command.[5]

Imaginary Scramble[]

Interlude[]

An unknown amount of time after the events of the British Lostbelt, Ritsuka glimpses in a daydream one of Skadi's dreams in which she asks Odin why she was left as the only goddess in her Lostbelt and why he also abandoned all her children. Sherlock Holmes, who had been in the middle of a tactics report with Ritsuka, is fascinated by how he can see memories and records of his Servants even through daydreams. Before he can elaborate further Skadi orders him to cease so he does not unravel its Mystery too greatly. She is aware that Ritsuka could see her memories. and asks Ritsuka and Holmes to help her settle a certain issue for her.

The scene cuts to Ritsuka speaking with Cú Chulainn (Lancer) and Cú Chulainn (Prototype), who agree to help clean up for their other self's mistake. Cú Chulainn Alter says he isn't interested in joining them, but Medb also accompanies them (as she is convinced that Skadi intends to make a sexual advance on Cú and wants to see what happens). They plan to lure Caster Cú into the simulator under the pretense of having him examine a rune they do not recognize, but he sees through the intended trap. His attempt to escape is thwarted by Skadi and Medb, and the former demands she be allowed to speak to him in his capacity as Odin's Pseudo-Servant. After a pitched battle, he concedes and allows her to voice her feelings.

Skadi laments that even after her summoning, Caster Cú- or more precisely, Odin- never spoke to her. He tries to explain that Odin's blessings have nearly faded in his current manifestation and that even if that wasn't the case, the Odin of Proper Human History and the Odin of the Scandinavian Lostbelt were never the same entity and shouldn't be treated as such. Skadi disputes this, citing how Morgan and Odysseus gained the records of their counterparts, but according to Cú it would not be possible for Odin to steal those records from himself like they did. She continues to press him about whether Odin could not have seen his other selves' worlds like Gilgamesh can, but he reiterates that he isn't the true Odin and isn't capable of such a feat himself.

Hearing this, Skadi orders him to shut up before breaking into tears. She demands to know why Odin did not save her and her children, and instead allowed her to instead create a cycle of false life that she can now recognize as an abomination. She curses herself for killing millions of her children after promising them a place in a nonexistent Valhalla, and concludes by asking why Odin did not simply let her die with the rest of the Norse gods.

Although he again warns that he's not Odin, Caster Cú says that if the Lostbelt Odin was anything like the Odin of Proper Human History, he would have spared Skadi out of love and have seen her future in Chaldea, "smiling like a brat after eating some ice cream". Skadi is only more upset that he would have had so little regard for her children, but Ritsuka advises her not to question Odin's feelings and to let herself be happy as Odin would have wanted. She agrees to heed their advice.

Abilities[]

The Skaði appearing in the Norse Lostbelt is not a Servant nor a Divine Spirit; a god that lost their true body and fused with nature, but an actual full living goddess.[9] Rather than dying in Ragnarök like the other gods,[9] Odin fused her with the Celtic warrior Scáthach,[2][9] a woman with whom she shared a fateful bond.[2] Thus, she remained intact for thousands of years, ever since the Age of Gods up to the present day.[9] Being a superior class of deity, Ophelia Phamrsolone states that the power of Scáthach-Skaði is easily a match for a Divine Spirit and that she can't imagine her having anything to fear, even from Caenis.[15] Upon being notified by Kirschtaria that Caenis would visit her Lostbelt, Ophelia expressed concern that Scáthach-Skaði would destroy Caenis Saint Graph if they were to clash.[8] Originally, it would be impossible for her to manifest as a Servant due to her not being a Heroic Spirit of the Human Order, however, she's able to be summoned by Chaldea as a pseudo-Divine Spirit.[16]

Even while using a large portion of her power to suppress the flames of Surtr for thousands of years, Scáthach-Skaði possesses a vast amount of Magical Energy that is capable of filling up her entire castle. Upon meeting her, Mash stated that she was unable to even begin to grasp the amount of magical energy, thus being unable to determine how strong Skaði was. Her energy was so concentrated that Mash felt like she was about to pass out, further adding that it could instantly kill any normal creature. It even reminded her of the Seventh Singularity and the massive magical energy in the atmosphere there. Just seeing her standing is enough to claim she's on par with "Sigurd".[10] In fact, although "Sigurd" may be the strongest being in all of Scandinavia, Ophelia claims Skaði is the exception.[7] Even after Ophelia released one of his limiters, allowing Surtr to manifest Sigurd's stage 2, there was no doubt in Da Vinci's mind that Skaði was more dangerous than him and thus the unquestioned ruler of the Lostbelt. It wasn't until his final limiter was removed and Surtr got access to Sigurd's full capabilities as a Heroic Spirit that Mash claimed his demonic sword became more powerful than anything they had seen before.[12] Skaði is powerful enough to boost Sigurd's Bölverk Gram to block Surtr's flames, a feat that he could have never accomplished on his own.[2] She can also use the earth's leylines to boost Ritsuka's party with her blessings, allowing them to damage Surtr more effectively.[5]

Skaði is capable of ascending her very existence with the same method Chaldea's summoning system employs to enhance Heroic Spirits. Despite unlocking her full capabilities in the form of her final ascension against Mash in their final confrontation, Mash defeats both Ortlinde and her due to them not having recovered any magical energy after their battle with Surtr from suppressing his power over the millennia. Whereas Mash had completely healed, she was extremely weakened. Furthermore, even though she could have used a death rune to instantly kill Mash, her pride could not permit it.[14]

In combat, Skaði's usual weapon is her frost magecraft. Sometimes, a number of spears similar to Gae Bolg materialize from the shadows, but she doesn't seem to understand why she can use them.[1]

Skills[]

Class Skills[]

  • Territory Creation (EX Rank): As a queen, she's able to reproduce her castle anywhere she goes. To modern magecraft, this extraordinary ability would be equal to Temple-level, but Skadi herself claims that she's 'not very good' at creating territory. If so, one must wonder how incredible the God of Magic Odin's abilities would be.[1] Once Ragnarök concluded, Skadi turned the vast majority of her power toward extinguishing the flames that threatened to consume the world and all life on it. Through her Authority she blanketed Scandinavia with her snow and ice, laden with magical energy. Thus creating safe heavens that the surviving giants could not touch in order to give humans an opportunity to live their lives.[2] Every bit of snow and ice blanketing her Lostbelt is part of her and extends her authority. Thus, nothing can elude her. She knows, sees and hears everything that takes place within her domain.[7] She can use her Ice and Snow to disrupt the Shadow Borders equipment and optically and magically camouflage objects as large as the Fantasy Tree Sombrero.
  • Item Construction (A Rank): As a queen, she's able to create many things with her mana. She can create anything from miraculous medicines to equipment to tree seeds, but they all seem to be created with a low temperature. Her items will be cold to the touch.[1] Thanks to Ymir's blood, other than her shadow, ice and snow-based abilities, Scathach-Skadi has also displayed the ability to use the three surviving Valkyries as a base to mass-produce a hundred envoys infused with her own magical energy.[2] This, alongside her Authority over giants, allowed her to keep both giants and humans in check for thousands of years.[9]
  • Divine Core of the Goddess (A Rank): A skill that symbolizes her status as a goddess. A composite skill that includes Divinity. Due to Scathach-Skadi possessing both god and giant attributes, she has been classified as A-rank instead of EX.[1] Being the daughter of the giant Pjazi, she possesses his former Authority to control giants. By putting them masks infused with her Magical Energy,[2] she can make them attack or sleep with a single command. However, even she cannot suppress their instincts. The giants who survived the Ragnarök consume heat in any form they can. Thus, they can't serve as a proper, disciplined army. As familiars go, Surtr regards them as third-rate at best. Although they may have lived through Ragnarök up to the present day, they are only pitiful shadows of their former selves. They were once beings on par with the gods.[9]

Personal Skills[]

Skadi'sRunes
  • Primordial Rune (— Rank): The ability to freely control norse runes. Unlike the runes commonly used by modern magi, these are the original runes created by the great god Odin. Their power transcends human understanding.[1] According to Norse Mythology, Odin made most of the world from Ymir, with the exception of the runes, which he discovered after offering up his own life. He saw that the shape of the runes contained the depth of the world itself, as such the runes can be called pathways to the truth that Odin discovered.[17] With these runes, she can employ numerous spells including a divine curse capable of rendering both Napoleon and Mash inert without them being able to lift a single finger.[10] Like Surtr she can also inscribe a primordial rune of death, which is said to bring inescapable death to any living being. Skadi can also use her runes to hold Sigurd's and Brynhildr's Spirit Core's together after they had been damaged, however, the bonds are fragile. Thus, the cores will inevitably crumble should they spend all their magical energy in battle.[2] She can also use her Primordial Runes to simultaneously summon a large number of Divine Iron Shields, strong enough to aid, alongside the rest of Ritsuka's party, Berserker Heracles to momentarily hold back Surtr's Loptr Laegjarn.[13] Skaði's runes also allowed them to fly within a hundred-meter range next to Surtr's head to attack him.[5]
  • Freezing Blizzard (B Rank): A skill that represents her attribute as the goddess of the icy mountains, Skadi. The manifestation of the cold winds of the north that freeze all of creation. Normally this ability is part of her goddess Authority, so if she uses it at A rank or above, Queen Scathach's spiritual core will completely shatter. Due to this, the use of this skill is limited to B rank.[1]
  • Wisdom of the Great God (B+ Rank): Due to being known as 'the beautiful bride of the gods', Skadi's body possesses the blessings and protection of the Norse gods. A skill based on the wisdom obtained by the Great Odin when he gave up one of his eyes. It's similar but differs from Scathach's 'Wisdom of Dún Scáith' skill.[1]

Abilities[]

Class Skills
Personal Skills
  • Midsummer Ice Cream (C Rank): She loves ice cream. It’s cold and sweet. A girl-like smile that Scathach-Skadi flashes at unexpected moments. Originally, it was supposed to be a composite skill that included the effects of Beach Crisis. It gives a buff to one’s own party.[18]
  • Dreaming in the Late Summer Night (A+ Rank). Scathach-Skadi, who has changed her Saint Graph, is known as the “Summer Goddess of Reflection.” She ponders on how to give the members and Servants of Chaldea including the Master, survivors of Proper Human History, a taste of “summer fun.” As for her own self ――― she also wonders about what her other self was like a long time ago, the shadow of the queen who once lived a different life. Furthermore, since she is now in Chaldea, she also thinks about how she won’t fail like back in Christmas……[18]

Development[]

Creation and Conception[]

Scáthach-Skadi was designed by Hirokazu Koyama in Fate/Grand Order. Her scenario writer is Hikaru Sakurai in Fate/Grand Order.

Comment from Illustrator[]

"When I first heard 'Queen Scathach', I thought 'Queen of the Land of Shadows'? But it turns out it was something completely different and she ended up being the frivolous queen of the land of ice. Her first stage was designed thinking of a queen who would likely live in a castle of ice. Her second stage has her changing to something closer to combat attire. Her third stage was designed as something more like a battle dress. It seems her third stage got used to allude to her legend as the bride of the gods. I designed her to be younger and of a smaller build compared to Scathach. I drew her with the intention of them being completely different characters despite looking similar." (Koyama Hirokazu)[1]
