Senji MuramasaWP (千子村正WP, Senji Muramasa?, also translated as "Sengo Muramasa"), Class Name Alter Ego (アルターエゴ, Arutā Ego?), is an Alter Ego-class High-Servant working as one of the seven apostles of the Alien World in the Lostbelts of Fate/Grand Order. Working with fellow Alter Egos Rasputin and Limbo, their purpose is to monitor and lead the Crypters in their part of the Human Order Revision Incident and facilitate the advent of the Alien God. Another version is summoned as a Servant of Chaldea Security Organization.

Components[]
Like his fellow Disciple Ashiya Douman, the Alien God's Alter Ego-class Muramasa is a High-Servant with Divine Spirits combined into him. One is a blind god of war who brought about the Twilight of the Gods, and the other is his dearest wish, his aspiration.[1] The playable guest Muramasa in the English Lostbelt has unique voice lines in combat mentioning Kushinadahime, implying that the second one is Susanoo-no-Mikoto, the wielder of Kusanagi, the sword that Muramasa recreates with his Noble Phantasm.

Lilim Harlot: The Severance of Fate. The Crimson Beast and The Flame’s Mission[]
He is summoned before the events of the Atlantic Lostbelt to the world of Arcade in order to sever the karma connection between the Lilim Harlot Singularity and the various worlds, as the Singularity was still accumulating power and would have turned Draco back in her Beast form. Even after doing so, the already accumulated power becomes a second, weaker instance of Beast VI/S, mandating Chaldea and Draco to defeat her once again to end the threat of the Singularity and save Draco. After accomplishing this, Muramasa leaves with Musashi, the latter who comments that she's off to the "Greek Lost— oops, nevermind”.[3]

Lostbelt No. 5: Atlantis[]
He was sent as part of the Olympus Defense Force to deal with the Servants of Panhuman History. They take refuge in the Temple of Astraea, and in gratitude to the goddess' hospitality, he sculpts several statues in her honor.[4]
Astraea, recognizing him as a servant of Panhuman History, asks him why he is against them now, to which he replies that being a servant may be convenient, but he cannot choose his master. He was summoned as an Alter Ego by the Alien God. Although he has no idea what his master is like and what its true intentions are, he will focus on the tasks entrusted to him, even if his actions are considered unjust to others.[4]
Their talk is interrupted by Rasputin, who reports the sudden appearance of the remaining enemies. The Alter Egos can return to Olympus if they take care of the last one of them. Muramasa asks if they are going to deal with the remaining servants in the usual way, to which the Priest responds that both of them are enough for the task, so Limbo's assistance won't be necessary. Concerned about the Priest's mood, Senji asks if he is enjoying the situation. After a brief talk about their pasts, Senji ends up admitting that he is not the type of person who trusts his back to someone else, but as long his partner is protecting his back, he can swing his blades in battle without worries.[4]
At some point before leaving Atlantis, Muramasa visited the Temple of Hephaestus by Zeus' order to prevent Chaldea can make use of the remains of the smith god, but he just cut off a part of the temple that contained a portion of the Hephaestus' data store, taking it with him to Olympus.[5][6]
Somewhere in Olympus, he is forging some artifact while Hephaestus observes his skills for the smithy, which he exalts them like those of a blacksmith who surpasses the duality of good and evil, creating exactly what he was asked for. Muramasa agrees that he has to forge what his client seeks, even if it is some kind of weapon to destroy the world. When Hephaestus asks him if he is not satisfied, Muramasa replies that he is only doing what he was tasked for, so he is unsure about that.[7]
Lostbelt No. 5: Olympus[]
He appears suddenly in the workshop, joking about Caenis' bad mood, who is making a fuss all over the place. Caenis points her spear at him, asking him who he is and if his class is Assassin, since she was not able to detect his presence, which he answers that if they are in the atelier of the god of the forge, then he would be a simple blacksmith. Mash identifies as the servant who helped Ritsuka back in Shimousa, but now he is one of the Apostles of the Alien God. He talks about how much has happened since then to end up being summoned as an enemy of the Human Order, which he doesn't find funny. However, he expresses his happiness in meeting a true blacksmith god, even if he is older than he expected. Hephaestus lets him know that it's rude for a grandfather to call another grandfather, to which Muramasa sarcastically apologizes.[8]
Having suspicions about Muramasa helping Hephaestus to complete the Summoning Vessel, Musashi asks him if he plans to destroy it as soon as its completed. Senji tells them that Rasputin entrusted him with two tasks: to protect Prometheus-Hephaestus and preventing Chaldea from encountering Hephaestus' iteration in Atlantis. Destroying it would be the easiest option, but due to deicide being a taboo in Atlantis and an Odysseus unable to bring himself to do it, it was time for the Alteregos to act. But Prometheus-Hephaestus threatened him with self-detonating if he did not help him with his project, so he didn't destroy Hephaestus, although he did report to Zeus that he did, and became the disciple of the blacksmith god. Muramasa mentions that Zeus entrusted him with a third task: the elimination of Chaldea. He has no plans to betray the Alien God or Zeus, but because he is accomplishing his tasks in sequential order, the completion of the Summoning Vessel is a priority. Macarios asks him if he can really ignore Zeus' order until then, to which he replies that time is upon them, and that as a blacksmith he doesn't think he can have a chance against Chaldea's servants. He reveals about the roles of his fellow alteregos: Rasputin, who is in charge of supervising the crypters; Douman, who is in charge of supervising the Lostbelt Kings; and him, whose role does not begin until after the descent of the Alien God, is to be a kind of "steward" who can be trusted, so he cannot allow himself to die yet. After revealing that, the Alien Priestess suddenly appears. Muramasa calms Musashi by telling her the Priestess' role is to be an arbiter, so there is nothing she can do but observe. Having finished helping Prometheus-Hephaestus, he advises both Adele and Macarios to not recklessly sacrifice their lives before leaving the atelier.[6]
His blade is used to defeat Titan Atlas who is inside the Fantasy Tree Magellan, leaving its hollow interior available for the Alien God to descend.[9]
At some temple in Atlantis, Muramasa is seen conversing with Rasputin. Senji asks if the Alien God suffered damage due to Wodime's Sirius Light, which the priest denies. Rasputin admits that, thanks to Kirschtaria, the apostles who would be considered unneccesary after the arrival of the Alien God can continue to live, although for some reason the efforts to communicate with Limbo have been unsuccessful. Muramasa asks which orders their master can have for them, to which Rasputin clarifies him that the Alien God has two interests. Senji is entrusted with the investigation of the spear that is capable of burning the Fantasy Tree in the English Lostbelt. When Muramasa asks the Priest if he is going to act as her bodyguard, Rasputin tells him he is in charge in obtaining a more powerful vessel than the one the Alien God is currently inhabiting. An incredulous Senji is unable to believe there is a stronger vessel for an existence who can be considered supreme, but Kotomine affirms that it actually exists: the Ultimate One of the Oort Cloud.[10]
Lostbelt No. 6: Avalon le Fae[]
Muramasa is sent by the Alien God to assassinate Morgan, the Lostbelt King of the English Lostbelt. Muramasa fights and pass through Fairy Knight Gawain and Fairy Knight Tristan, but he is ultimately defeated by Fairy Knight Lancelot and ends up falling into the the great pit. He survives however and climbs out. Wandering he eventually finds himself in the nameless forest at Cronwall where he promptly loses his memories for a time. After leaving the forest he spends his time as a blacksmith, where after feats of his strength are witnessed he is then captured, to be sold for auction as a slave by Muryan. It is at this time when he recovers his memories, and Muryan attempts to convince him to become hers which he rejects.[11]
A month after Muramasa's arrival Chaldea finally arrives at the Britian Lostbelt where they then get seperated. Joining up with the Artoria of this lostbelt, and a fairy who calls himself Oberon both Ritsuka and Da Vinchi head to Gloucester. Upon reaching there they hear rumors that the fairy for auction and sale is the fabeled "Child of Prophecy" who is rumored to save Britian. Described as a powerful fairy wearing foreign cloth and weilding a strange iron weapon, they assume it to be Mash who has been seperated from them. Entering the auction they are shocked at the reveal that it is in fact Muramasa who was supposed to be an enemy. The auctioner state's that due to Muryan's statement of "he's at least 30% a Child of Prophecy", he's attire, and the fact he almost defeated Morgan, the auctioner states that the auction is legitamate, however Oberon claims that it feels like nothing more than a scam. The bidding starts the Chaldea party decide to bid for Muramasa, with Oberon placing Artoria's name as the bidder, which he retorts saying "It would make for a good story the Fake Child of Prophecy being purchased by the Real Child of Prophecy" which Artoria voices her displeasure on. Eventually the bidding reaches a tie with Artoria putting up Oberon's land as colatoral, which now makes it Oberon's turn to voice his displeasure. Muryan asks both buyers to come to the stadium for the final verdict to be decided. Artoria walks up to the stadium where she than faces the competing buyer who it turns out to be in fact Fairy Knight Tristan. Muryan reaveling both Artoria's status as the Real "Child of Prophecy" and Tristan's status as Morgans deemed successor they then contest in a magecraft competition for who will obtain Muramasa. Artoria wins causing Tristan to turn and flee. Muramasa is released and in turn thanks Artoria for granting him freedom.
Ritsuka and Da Vinci question Muramasa's intentions asking what he's doing in the fairy kingdom at all, Muramasa provides a recap of the events that led him here prior. After he explains everything, he propositions a temporary team-up to deal with Morgan which the group accepts. Muramasa and Artoria both welcome it as Muramasa feels it is a good way to repay Artoria for freeing him by working as her bodyguard and Artoria believing that there is no such thing as an evil blacksmith. The group are later invited to an audience with Muryan where the group is shocked at her similar appearance to BB. While the group attempts to convince her to let Artoria ring the Pilgrim bell which she refuses until Artoria shows merit. Muryan however states her fondness for Ritsuka glad that she knows that not all Proper Human History humans are like Beryl Gutt she states that in Chaldea and Morgans endeavors she will remain neutral until otherwise as she is not found of Morgan's recent decisions as a ruler, but she would also not allow Chaldea to destroy her Britian. When asked how she intended to remain neutral she reveals that she has hired Koyansakya as a bodyguard which the person in question enters. Muramasa question's Koyansakya's goal which she replies that she was different from him and the other alter-ego's from the start saying she was only here to acquire materials for herself and had no intention of interfering on either side. Koyansakya reveal's that she has fallen in love with Fairie Britian as a country and applauds Morgana for building it. This however angers Oberon calling her a vixen, telling her to shut up, and telling Muryan she needs to stay away from her completely stunning Koyansakya into silence. Later as the group leaves Muramasa states that he likes Oberon and applauds him for calling Koyansakya out, and even if it was an act, he still applauded the performance. The group then leave to Oberon's hideout the Forest of Whales.[1][2][12][13][14]
Along the way the group encounter suspicous travelers under assault from on of Koyansakya's failed beasts whom Muramasa deals with when Artoria offers them aid. Muramasa is shocked that they actually needed help as the whole thing looked sketchy and is amazed that Artoria ran to help without a second shot. Once night hits the group camp for the night in which Muramasa explains how he came to this lostbelt and the events leading to his imprisonment. Because the English Lostbelt is a threat to both the Alien and to Proper Human History, so since the events of the Britian Lostbelt are completely out of the plans he was sent to stop it. In order to achieve this Muramasa teams up with Chaldea to defeat Morgan. He befriends Lostbelt Artoria, though gets on her nerves quite often. Muramasa states that he doesn't like working for his employer, and it is compelling him to do its bidding, saying it puts a bad taste in his mouth. After an explanation on how his powers as an AlterEgo are ineffective in the Britian Lostbelt and he must rely on his pure combat ability and stats he asks how Douman perished. Upon hearing Ritsuka's reaction and response he decides to not bring up the matter again leaving it as is.
After a long trek the group makes it to the Forest of Whales where the small fariy insects gather around them to play. One in particular asks for a helmet which Oberon states that he should just make it fake so they can play around. The Forest of Whales is a place where all the faries that were unwanted were driven off to. Upon there rest in the forest, Muramasa takes it upon himself to train Artoria and Ritsuka which Da Vinci and Redra Bbit support. After they're initial rest, Oberon returns with the gathered information from Britian in his miniaturized form for recognizance and mobility. However, a new individual appears offering to aid the Child of Prophecy, which is revealed to be a fairy named Gareth. Having followed them from Gloucester she states that the moment she saw Artoria is the moment she knew that she must serve her as a knight. After their new addition they head to the sight of Norwich where it i stated that a Calamity will descend and destroy it based on the prophecy.
Before they reach Norwitch they must pass the river of Dracae a powerful fairy that lures in those who approach it with their greatest desires. One by one all the members fall towards Dracae unable to stop their desires from taking over them. Muramasa starts to contemplate how Chaldea managed to survive five lostbelts when they fall for the trap too. Muramasa appears to be unaffected due to his claim of being a replica of the original Muramasa, which Artoria turns her head in wonder that Muramasa is so devoid of greed. Muramasa tells her to not look at the river, but the moment she sees Dracae's illusion she dives headfirst. Oberon laments that they've lost all their members save the two of them and asks Muramasa what they should do, but due to Muramasa having seen Artoria's deepest desire becomes angered and follows after them asking Oberon to find a rope. Once inside Dracaes river Muramasa begins to speak asking if they all had anything to say for themselves which they reply how could they not, so in response he delivers a bonk on the head of each of them. After he relizes that he can talk underwater and that it is most likely due to Dracae's territory they head further into defeat Dracae and ascend to the surface. After they're defeat of Dracae they lost their ability to breath underwater and head to the surface for fresh air. After the events they head on to Norwitch.
When the group travels to Avalon to forge Excalibur, which would kill Artoria by making her one with the blade, Muramasa sacrifices himself in her place, allowing Artoria to survive and making him one with Excalibur.
Abilities[]
Having been modified by the Alien God, Muramasa's power has been increased, and he has gained some new abilities.[1][11] Redra Bbit's instincts tell him that Muramasa and Grimm the Wise are rather close in strength, and wonders who would win if they were to fight.[14]
Combat[]
Muramasa was able to sneak behind Caenis and touch her spear without her noticing, making her initially believe that he was an Assassin.[8] While Muramasa states he might be able to handle Mash Kyrielight, and Sherlock Holmes on his own, deep down, he is just a swordsmith. He says there is no way he could take on Chaldea, Miyamoto Musashi, Caligula, and Caenis all at the same time.[6]
Muramasa took Fairy Knight Tristan and Gawain by surprise and defeated them.[11] Gawain claims that she was just distracted by his unfamiliar technique at the time, and that she would deal with him should he try to assassinate Morgan again. She says that her Majesty has ensured her that slight damage to the castle would be tolerated should the situation call for it. Muramasa agrees that she did seem a bit constrained back then. He wishes to cross swords with her again without holding back this time, preferably in a straight fight, with no distractions.[12]
During Muramasa's first fight against Fairy Knight Lancelot, they crossed swords multiple times in the air, until he got dropped down the Great pit without getting a good hit in. Although it took him less than 10 seconds to be dumped down there, Lancelot managed to hit his Spiritual Core several times. Muramasa believes that a normal Servant would have died twelve times over. However, thanks to having been tempered by the Alien God, Muramasa narrowly escaped death. It took him three days to get to the point he could move enough to crawl up and out of the hole.[11] Although Lancelot beat Muramasa to "a pulp," Muramasa is confident that if he used "everything he's got" and spent all his Magical Energy he could defeat a Fairy Knight.[1]
Despite working together with Percival, Artoria Caster powered by 2 bells, and Da Vinci, Muramasa was no match for Woodwose. Had Red Hare and Gareth not intervened, the group of Servants would have been killed by Woodwose.[13]
Skills[]
- God-Slayer (EX Rank): Muramasa is a powerful Servant who severed the Saint Graph of Titan Atlas with a single blow.[1][9] And yet, he failed his assassination attempt on Queen Morgan, and was defeated by another Fairy entirely. The discrepancy between both feats is attributed to Muramasa being an Alter Ego who specializes in slaying gods. Thanks to the Alien God having incorporated into him that kind of Divine Spirit, a blind God of War who brought about the Twilight of the Gods, Muramasa's output is increased when fighting other deities. He claims that this doesn't make him especiallly strong. It just makes it so that he doesn't have to expend Magical Energy when "slaying gods."[1] A few months prior to the arrival of Chaldea to the Atlantic Lostbelt, Muramasa severed Hephaestus's head unit with a single strike, stealing 56.4% of his data.[5]
Noble Phantasm[]
Senji Muramasa's Noble Phantasm is Tsumukari Muramasa. Using it three times consecutively would burn out his Saint Graph and leave him out of juice.[2]
Creations[]
- During the Greek Lostbelt, he was capable of crafting a weapon to strike down Titan Atlas, leaving the void within the Fantasy Tree available for the Alien God to descend.[9]
- Grand Servant Summoning Circle: During the Atlantic Lostbelt the servants of Proper Human History, Prometheus-Hephaestus, and the Godbreaker Alliance worked tirelessly to complete a summoing circle that would have enabled a Grand Servant to come forth and aid them. During the final process, Muramasa had arrived to capture Hephastus, but Hephastus threatened to destroy himself before the circle's completion. Not actually wishing to fufill the order he was given, Senji decided to help complete the circle in an attempt to accelerate the process.
- Excalibur: Originally forging the Holy Sword that would later become Excalibur to defeat Sefar and, in the Lostbelt's case, stop Cernunnos would have caused the forger's death by becoming one with the blade...which in the Lostbelt's case was Artoria. When she entered into the Star of the Planet, its heart or core, to forge the Holy Sword, right before the process would cost her life, Senji Muramasa stepped into the Planet's Star, taking her place during the final forging stages and, at the cost of his life, saving Artoria while finished forging the Greatest Holy Sword. Artoria later gave it to Chaldea which they equip to their air ship the Storm Border as a Holy Sword cannon. The Hume-Barrel Rayproof.
