Servants (サーヴァント, Sāvanto?) are the primary inhabitants of the Servant Universe.
Characteristics[]
While nearly all inhabitants of the Servant Universe are classified as Servants, only a certain few have True Names corresponding to Heroic Spirits and Divine Spirits from the Proper Human History. Some inhabitants have never even met one in person.[1]
Servants are born and age, but stop aging in the "prime of their lives."[2] Permanent death does not exist for Servants due to possessing tangible souls. Those who disappear will eventually respawn in another part of the universe, reincarnate into a new body, or their death will cause them to manifest in a Parallel World. The only exception to this system is any Servant who dies within the Origin Universe. Any who perish within the Origin Universe fall under the custody of the Primordial Goddess, and they cannot respawn in the universe without her allowing it.[3]
Servants experience the effects of caloric intake and can gain weight from eating.[4]
