Seventh Singularity: Babylonia[]
Siduri greets Merlin on Gilgamesh's behalf when he returns with Ritsuka, Mash, and Medusa. She asks if he recovered the Tablet of Destinies, to which Merlin replies it wasn’t in the Cedar Forest. She reprimands him for criticizing Gilgamesh's inability to recall where he left the tablet, and recites Gilgamesh’s excuse that he was too tired when he scribed it. Even though she never heard of memory loss from exhaustion before, she agrees to go with it, and tells Merlin to continue searching. She then asks who his companions are, as they aren’t from Uruk, when Gilgamesh fights them to prove their worth. Gilgamesh loses interest halfway and starts reprimanding Ritsuka and Mash for being worthless. Siduri asks him if they were the ones he foresaw, which he assumes as much since Merlin brought them. Ishtar then bursts from the roof; Siduri orders the priests to prepare the special prayers and permits their use on Ishtar. After Ishtar leaves following the ensuing fight, Siduri and Gilgamesh continue their previous work like nothing happened. Gilgamesh puts Siduri in charge of Ritsuka’s party after he said they’d need to work from the bottom if they wish to aid him. Outside the ziggurat, Siduri suggests the group helps the people of Uruk in their daily work to prove their worth to Gilgamesh. She then leads the group to their new lodgings, saying it was Gilgamesh’s command.[2]
She leads them to the new lodgings, formerly a tavern, that Mash dubs the Chaldean Embassy. Later that night, she eats with the group along with Gilgamesh’s other Servants: Ushiwakamaru, Musashibou Benkei, and Leonidas. Afterwards, Siduri learns the group has already met Kingu, who's been pretending to be Enkidu. She and the other Uruks refuse to believe he’s the real Enkidu because they knew the real one. She recalls Enkidu was the one who restrained Gilgamesh, and became his friend when he was fated to be alone until he dies. Though Enkidu continually insisted they were merely a tool, Siduri saw them nothing less than a very kind person. Therefore, she firmly believes Kingu is a fake pretending to be Enkidu. She confirms Enkidu is dead, and Gilgamesh buried them in Kur. She was confused, along with Merlin, that Gilgamesh reacted with neither anger nor anger upon learning someone was pretending to be his friend.[3]
The next day, Siduri gives the group their first assignment. They are to help a rancher on Uruk’s outskirts shear his sheep, protecting him and his ranch from Demonic Beasts if they need be. The day afterwards, Siduri has them investigate the armory boss’ wife for evidence of an affair. The next day, she has them participate in a mock battle with 100 of Leonidas’ trainees, as requested by Leonidas himself. On another night, she serves dinner to the group, Ushiwakamaru, Benkei, and Leonidas, having made butter cake with the oven a neighbor kindly lent her. She explains the clay tablets are tokens of gratitude from the citizens of Uruk, asking the group to look at them when they get a chance. Siduri continues to give the group daily assignment for the next month.[3] When Gilgamesh sends Ritsuka's party to investigate Ur after recognizing their recent achievements, Siduri tells Ushiwakamaru and Benkei about it.[4]
Siduri later gets emotional when Gilgamesh says he'll fully recognize Ritsuka's party if sucessfully evacuate Nippur's surviving population. She denies that was crying, claiming that, as Ritsuka's caretaker, she was only reminiscing about all the struggles they had to endure until now.[5]
Later, she disagrees with Gilgamesh ordering the group to recruit after they return following the failed Nippur operation, misinterpreting it to mean defeat her since he referred to Ishtar as opponent. She assumes Ishtar confiscated jewels from the ranchers as compensation for protecting their ranches from Demonic Beasts when Mash said Ishtar only attacked ranches when Demonic Beasts were involved. She then wonders if Ishtar was protecting out of goodwill, but Medusa says it’s closer to a “Everything in this world’s mine” mentality.[6]
When the group return with Ishtar, Siduri stops her and Gilgamesh from arguing any further. Following Quetzalcoatl’s attack on the southern market, Siduri reports soldiers and craftsmen have left there. She is concerned that Gilgamesh’s secret project won’t be completed at this rate. Gilgamesh stops her from revealing any further.[7]
While Ritsuka’s party was still in Eridu, Siduri witnesses Gilgamesh die seemingly from exhaustion. She tells the group about it when they return. Merlin asks her if something strange happened in the city after they left. She recalls numerous reports of citizens dying from weakness. While she found them abnormal, she largely ignored them because of Gilgamesh’s funeral. Quetzalcoatl (who was recruited earlier) reveals Ereshkigal‘s gallu spirits caused the deaths by removing their souls and taking them to Kur, including Gilgamesh. Siduri realizes Gilgamesh may be revived if his soul is liberated from its soul cage, as his body hasn’t been buried yet.[8]
When Gilgamesh is revived, he and Siduri start preparation for the upcoming battle with Gorgon. When Ritsuka’s party return from Kutha, Siduri explains all remaining forces have gathered at the Northern Wall to prepare for Gorgon’s invasion. She reports Gorgon’s current forces comprise roughly 100,000 Demonic Beasts gathered in the Cedar Forest. As that’s larger than their forces, Siduri fears the Northern Wall won’t last half a day despite being fortified repeatedly, even less so if Gorgon appears. When Gilgamesh says the group will use Marduk’s Axe to break into the Gorgon’s temple, the Blood Fort, Siduri says Jaguar Man delivered the axe this morning. It was then sent directly to the Norther Wall per Gilgamesh’s orders.
When Tiamat is awakened by Gorgon’s death, Uruk soon comes under attack by Laḫmu. They capture Siduri when she attempted to protect the people from them. They bring her to their nest in Eridu, where she is turned into a Lahmu, though she retains her humanity. She encounters Ritsuka’s party when come to Eridu, but she doesn’t attack them and flees. In the anime adaptation, Ritsuka realizes the Lahmu was Siduri after seeing it make the same flag waving motion she did.[9]
Siduri saves Kingu from being killed by the Lahmu after they tore out his Holy Grail heart. Addressing them as Enkidu, she tells them to run. She tells them to find happiness, and the people of Uruk will never forget their gratitude towards them for becoming Gilgamesh’s friend. She, along with everyone else, mourned their death, nor did they forget it. For that reason they want “Enkidu” to find happiness. Siduri then dies, grateful she could talk with "Enkidu".[10]
Battle in New York 2019[]
Siduri is the shopkeeper for this event.
After Space Ishtar usurps control of the tournamet from Gilgamesh, Siduri convinces him to join as a competitor and defeat Ishtar, instead of just abandoning the city as he had planned to.
Other appearances[]
In Fate/Grand Carnival, Siduri and Chevalier d'Eon carry Gilgamesh's briefcases full of QP while he attends Club M. While she doesn't say anything, her face shows clear irritation.
In Fate/strange Fake Ishtar mentions Siduri when noting how Haruri's name rhymes with hers. She praises her as one of her head priestesses that was a cut above the rest, though she never got why she put so much work into supporting Gilgamesh's government.[11]
In Fate/Samurai Remnant, Gilgamesh mentions Siduri when he muses that it might be a good idea to have someone like her help run his shop Babiloni-ya.[12]
