SigurdWP (シグルドWP, Shigurudo?), Class Name Saber (セイバー, Seibā?), is the Saber-class Servant of Ophelia Phamrsolone in the Lostbelts of Fate/Grand Order. He is later summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru.
Profile[]
Identity[]
Sigurd was known as the Greatest Hero of Northern Europe who possessed Gram in the Völsunga saga. Similiar in origin and legend to Siegfried, even described as Sigurd (Siegfried) (シグルド(ジークフリート), Shigurudo (Jīkufurīto)?) in Der Ring des NibelungenWP.[5] A legend of a warrior equal to that of King Arthur.
Gram is also attributed as the origin of Balmung and said to have appeared as Balmung in the later Der Ring des NibelungenWP.[6][7] Sigurd was said to have received the shattered fragments of the sword Gram a chosen sword of appointment lodged in the mighty treeWP within the halls of king Völsung of the Völsung clan that was originally pulled out by his father who wielded it, Sigmund, and reforged it anew into a cursed demonic sword capable of killing even a dragon.[8] He later took the Valkyrie Brynhildr, sleeping encircled by flame, as his wife, but betrayed her by presenting her as his brother-in-law's wife due to having lost his memories after drinking a special alcohol. Although she initially accepted the events as her immutable fate, she eventually kills him through a conspiracy and takes her own life to follow after him.[5] His story is called one of both glory and ruin befitting such a great hero.
Sigurd's legend the Völsunga saga came into existence around the 5~6th century at nearly the same time as the Nibelungenlied, the story of the hero Siegfried. WagnerWP's opera "Der Ring des NibelungenWP" is a masterpiece work that compiles these legends together.[9] Although Siegfried and Sigurd share similar origins, they are two different existences.[10]
Legend[]
The posthumous child of HjördísWP, and King Sigmund of FrakklandWP who fell in battle against Odin, shattering Gram into fragments with his spear Gungnir. He was sent by King AlfWP who married his mother to be raised by his blacksmith and teacher, the Dwarf Regin as his foster-father. He personally revived the sword Gram, "the sword of supremacy in the tree", reforging it anew into a demonic sword that was capable of killing even a dragon, becoming renowned as a demonic sword of both ruin and glory. He soon became the everlasting friend of Grani a descendant of SleipnirWP; becoming his steed in turn. As he avenged his father, by defeating the armies that joined King HundingWP. Soon becoming a long time military man of valor and then a dragonslayer by slaying the dragon Fafnir unabated. As he obtained the wisdom of the gods and power, by devouring the dragon's heart after beheading his foster-father Regin who tried to take Fafnir's hoard.[11]
Later in his life he rode forth to the top of the summit on Mt. Hindarfjall, an inhuman devil cave; bravely riding through the flame with his steed to reach her. He came before her, cutting off her mythril armor with Gram. From that act she awakened from her long sleep, but questions him why is he doing this. He should have already knew of the prophecy from his uncle. In which is that if both of them were to meet each other, ruin would await upon both of them in the future. He replied that, he knew of it and is doing this act because he’s only doing what has to be done. As love and emotion are not necessary for him; his plan was to go against the prophecy only to save her and not love her then. Brynhildr felt glad, but at the same time she felt sadness inside as well, he said this to her that he intends to do just that. But unfortunately he had fallen in love with her in first sight, giving her a smile, Brynhildr felt her heart go. As the smile he gave her in which pierced her very center. He then proposed to her, taking her as his wife.[11]
After a time they had spent together in their honey moon, she taught him the original runes she had learnt from her father Odin. As time went on, he left her to continue his hero's journey until his return. Sometime during his journey, he had been tricked to drink a special alcohol which was made by Gudrun to have Sigurd forget Brynhildr, so that he may marry her. Gunnar, Gudrun's brother also desired to marry Brynhildr, so he and Sigurd rode off to meet with her, yet she still loved Sigurd and said only the one who passes the trials shall gain her hand in marriage. Gunther knew he could not do it, so he had asked Sigurd for aid. The one she loved the most in the world; disguising himself with runes in the guise of his brother-in-law's shape. Sigurd rode forth with his steed Grani, proposing to her again in the guise of his brother-in-law, however Brynhildr knew it was Sigurd. Challenging him into a fight, although this was sophistry as Sigurd was already much stronger than her. As a result, he won the fight from the combat skills she provided to him from their time together, presenting her as his brother-in-law's wife. Although she initially accepted the events as her immutable fate, she eventually raised her own hand against her beloved one, killing him by slicing him in half while his family and all of his followers were killed as well through a conspiracy as she took her own life to follow after him into the afterlifeWP.[11]
Appearance[]
Brynhildr described his looks as that like those of an ice sculpture who had attractive features. But has a calm expression like he was a demonWP that was born from a glacier while wearing the Helm of Fafnir inscribed onto his person. His brisk tone icy voice resembled that of his mother's or father's, or that of his foster-father's, who was even more of a wicked strategist than his parents, his form and nature were probably handed down to him from some much distant ancestor; being a descendant of Odin. The looks in his honest eyes can make someone fascinated by them as the color of his gentle eyes gave the impression of a good item to honor gratitude as it shown within the wisdom of the dragon Fafnir with his daring gaze, even a single smile from him made Brynhildr lovestruck, making her very heart go as it pierced her very being. His eyes, typically a light blue with a kind gaze, turn blood red, and his stare harsh and cruel while under Surtr’s influence.
Brynhildr's Valentines gift reveals that he apparently wears something called "the glass of wisdom", which actually just look like a pair of black-rimmed glasses.[2][12]
Personality[]
Truly a hero that was fearless, a being who was not a person standing in line with the earth gallantly, without disdaining his enemy by showing his back to them, without being frugal with gold, and being strict with himself more than anyone, and was more proud-hearted than all of the successive generations of Kings in each land. Expressing no emotion whatsoever even in dire situations, being shown to be stoic as he kept fighting without knowing the love of his mother, father, and foster-father while he took action, taking into account necessity and fairness of the situation at hand to avoid terrible outcomes and benefit everyone with or without their approval.[11]
A very square-toed ultra-stubborn person. He wears a pair of glasses which shouldn't exist in his lifetime. He is technically a rational person, as he fulfilled his purpose of avenging his father not by affection but from his sense of duty. Slightly blunt to everyone, it's almost impossible for him to show affection, at least on his outer side. But if he chose to protect someone without regards of his own safety, that would be proof that he trusted that "someone".
Regardless if his Master is male or female, if the human is worthy of his "trust", there will be no difficulty in communication between them. Like Cu Chulainn and others, he is a hero who "has no interest with a second life". He likely seeks the Holy Grail to wish for a "reunion" that would never come true. In an ordinary Holy Grail War, forcing instructions on him by command spells would be extremely difficult.
Relationships[]
- Brynhildr
- "Brynhildr... She tries to prove her love with murderous rage. I'm flattered, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to prove my love if I died. I must live, yet show her my love at the same time. Rather difficult, you see."[4]
- As the Hero who saved her from her forced sleep, Sigurd became her first husband. He is resigned to being destined to die at her hand, but loves her all the same. He vows to resist her attacks in order to stay alive and prove his love to her. Sigurd's Valentine's Day gift, a pair of glasses designed to boost concentration and protect the wearer from light and dust, mirrors Brynhildr's chocolate glasses. He implies that he's had a chance to talk to her or "something of the sort" for Valentine's.
- "It goes without saying. This one will absolutely use all his power to love her. As for her murderous impulse, that won’t be an issue there."[3]
- Siegfried
- "Siegfried… We are the same, yet separate entities. I am a bit jealous of his sturdiness, but that doesn't mean I am going to lose ground to him in battle."[4]
- "Our existence is divided from the same legend. While I am concerned in the differences between us, I am instantly relieved to hear that Brynhildr treats him as a different person. Probably since even occidental swordplay differs between styles, I would like to work with him on swordsmanship."[3]
- Cú Chulainn (Caster)
- "You’re Lord Cu Chulainn, right? .........Hmm...............?"[3]
- Ortlinde / Hildr / Thrúd
- "They are like sisters-in-law for this one. With that said, it might be tricky since they have no way to feel any emotions. What should I do, maybe I will seek out someone who has younger sisters."[3]
- Jeanne d'Arc (Swimsuit)
- "It seems that I was mistaken in choosing which person to talk to."[3]
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Götterdämmerung: The Eternal Ice-Flame Century[]
Sigurd is summoned as the intended Servant of Ophelia Phamrsolone. Unfortunately, Surtr infiltrated the summoning using his link with Ophelia's Mystic Eye, and possessed Sigurd.[13][14]
Sigurd is eventually freed of Surtr's possession when Brynhildr pierces his Spirit Core with her spear, though, this allows the giant's soul to free his true body of its seal.[15] Even though he should have perished, Sigurd remains thanks to Scáthach-Skadi's power. Ortlinde also used a rune to maintain his body, supported by Ophelia using her Mystic Eye on it earlier in a failed attempt to prevent Surtr's release.[16] Then, inspired by Mashing trying to defend against Surtr, Sigurd uses Bölverk Gram to repel Surtr's flames,[14] supported by Skadi. After Surtr leaves, Sigurd heals Brynhildr. Brynhildr thanks him for protecting everyone from Surtr's flames. Sigurd says, though, he couldn't have done it without Skadi's help. Skadi is also why Brynhildr's spear didn't kill him. Skadi herself confirms as much, and invites everyone inside.[16]
Inside her throne room, Skadi reveals giants are attacking the villages, as her masks meant to pacify them ceased to function with Surtr free. After she explain explains the Lostbelt's origins, Fantasy Tree Seeds suddenly crash down afterwards. Skadi commands them to die, but to her shock, it is ineffective. Sitonai arrives and reveals Skadi’s connection to Fantasy Tree Sombrero has been severed. After Sitonai destroys the Seeds, the group suspects Surtr is the new Lostbelt King. Skadi then reveals Sombrero is to the north, camouflaged by her magical snow. She warns Sigurd and Brynhildr that while her runes are keeping their Spiritual Cores intact, the bonds are still fragile. Thus if they expend all their magical energy in battle, Sigurd and Brynhildr's Spiritual Cores will crumble. After Skadi agrees to help, the group return to the Shadow Border in pursuit of Surtr.[16]
Reaching Village 23, Brynhildr, Sigurd, Ortlinde, and Skadi support Sitonia in blocking Surtr's attack with Heracles. Napoleon then sacrifices himself to damage Surtr with his overloaded Noble Phantasm. Before disappearing, he removes Fafnir's curse that Surtr inflicted Ophelia with from her. This last act of Napoleon's inspires Ophelia to join the others in fighting Surtr. She warns if Surtr burns the planet and the Lostbelt becomes the new history, the planet's Texture will be fire. Then, as it is her connection to Surtr, she destroys her Mystic Eye to sever their contract and remove his source of magical energy. This is followed by her using her Sirius Light to rewrite the Lostbelt.[17]
Supported by Skadi and Sitonai, the group ascend to fight Surtr. Sigurd severely wounds him with Bölverk Gram since the giant possesses Fafnir's curse. This severs Surtr's connection to the Fantasy Tree, and causes the Paper Moon to fall from his grasp. After being defeated, Surtr carves a rune of death into Ritsuka. He delights in Mash's despair at their death, only for Brynhildr to reveal what he is seeing is merely an illusion made by her rune. Brynhildr and Sigurd then finish Surtr off together.[18]
With all their magical energy spent, the couple start to disappear. Sigurd apologizes to Brynhildr for getting her involved, but she is overjoyed to have wielded her spear by his side. She calls it a dream come true, one she never dared to let herself hope for. Sigurd tells her that she can kill him without hesitation when they next meet. If that is her way of expressing her love, he will survive it and prove his love to her. Brynhildr genuinely smiles at this, agreeing to what Sigurd said. After Brynhildr disappears, Sigurd tells Ritsuka that he hopes he is helpful to them from the start the next time. He then disappears, smiling at Ritsuka's parting words.[18]
Event: All In! Las Vegas Championship Match ~ Seven Duels of Swordbeauties![]
Sigurd and Brynhildr make a guest appearance in the fourth summer event as Siegfried and Ritsuka's final opponents in a tournament made by Ishtar held in the Gildalay Hotel to see who is the best glasses-wearing Servant of all time. Dueling on the final round, the two were equally matched in knowledge and were then given a contest of strength. Sigurd and Brynhildr lost to Siegfried and Ritsuka, much to Ishtar's dismay as she betted against Siegfried, but Sigurd remained satisfied. Because to him, Brynhildr is the only goddess of victory he needs.[19][20]
Interlude: With Neither Mass Nor Shape, Yet Real[]
Event: Servant Summer Camp! ~Chaldea's Thriller Night~[]
Other appearances[]
In Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver, Lancer mentions him in her thoughts as her master Nigel Sayward forces her to take a drug that exploits her curse with one of his Command Spells. The drug forces her to see Saber as her beloved Sigurd, and she heads off to kill him.
Sigurd is mentioned in Fate/stay night in Gram's Weapon Profile.[7]
Abilities[]
In power, and intellect, he excelled the most even among his brothers who spoke of him as an unparalleled hero who far surpassed others in all of his abilities and skills, a man who is praised by all of the people including those that excelled at Magecraft but not only magic as being "The King of Warriors" that excels more than anyone."[citation needed] Just like Siegfried, Sigurd doesn't remember how he defeated Fafnir. They describe their fights as long drawn out battles with stakes so high that even one small mistake could have lead to death. The only thing he is certain about is that he used his sword.[21] After devouring Fafnir's heart, Sigurd gained unimaginable power and the wisdom of the gods.[3] Sigurd stands next to Siegfried as one of the most powerful heroes of all Norse myth,[13] and he is regarded as the greatest hero of Northern Europe.[8]
As of being summoned as a Servant of Chaldea, Sigurd believes he is weaker than when he was alive. Whereas he could defeat Fafnir on his own previously, when summoned by Chaldea, he is unable to do so without assistance from other Servants. Siegfried, however, reassures him that while he may be weaker in a sense of lacking certain abilities as a Servant, he does not believe he is truly any weaker than he was when alive, thanks to their Master and companions with whom they fight alongside, drawing on a new kind of strength.[21] Although his Spirit Origin closely resembles Siegfried's, its "color" seems a bit different.[13]
Combat[]
He wields the reforged demonic sword Gram as a peerless swordsman who didn't even show a bit of wavering in skill, whilst wafting an icy presence that resembled frost heaving in his swordplay.[11] He is also shown using four daggers with similar coloration as Gram, two of which are named Ridill and Hrotti, which he levitates and punches at his enemy.
Sigurd feels jealous of Siegfried's sturdiness, but he claims it doesn't mean he will lose ground to him in battle.[4] During Las Vegas Event, Sigurd and Brynhildr fight Siegfried and Ritsuka Fujimaru. Thanks to his Master's support, Siegfried defeats the two Nordic Servants. Brynhildr apologizes to Sigurd, saying that she was unable to unleash her Noble Phantasm Brynhildr Romantia because she was suppressing her urge to "love him to death".[22]
Skills[]
Class Skills[]
- Magic Resistance (A Rank): Magecraft that are Rank A or below can all be canceled by him. Effectively, Sigurd can't be injured by modern-day mages.[3]
- Riding (A Rank): He can control all mounts and beasts at will except for those with a Mythical Beast ・Divine Beast rank.[3]
Personal Skills[]
- Dragon-kind Modification (EX Rank): An extreme form of Self-Modification, achieved by swallowing a Dragon's heart. The Magical Reactor of a dragon kind has taken form, allowing for an almost completely independent mobilization despite being a Servant.[2][3]
- Crystallized Wisdom (A Rank): A magic item that originally should not exist in myths. Something that crystallized the wisdom acquired by eating a Dragon's heart. It exhibits its effects even if others wear it, but maybe due to the enormous information volume, a severe headache occurs.[2][3] Initially, it takes on the form of a draconic gas mask, losing its horns during his second ascension, and becoming standard glasses in his third ascension.
- Primordial Rune (Warrior) (B Rank): Denotes possession of the Magic Crest of Northern Europe - the runes. Having received the teachings of Brynhildr, his skills also allow for summoning as a Caster.[2][3] His skill with runes was sufficient to disguise himself as other individuals, such as his brother-in-law Gunnar.
Noble Phantasms[]
Sigurd wields Gram, a demonic sword possessing the sun's properties.[3]
Sigurd's second Noble Phantasm is his ultimate technique Bölverk Gram,[14] with which he releases the full potential of Gram by throwing it as an 「Anti-Fortress」Noble Phantasm.[3] With it, he managed to deflect Surtr's flames, although it would have been impossible without Scáthach-Skadi's crucial help. It was all made possible thanks to her godly power.[16] Thanks to his nature as a Dragon Slayer, and Skaði and Sitonai, the amalgamation of three Divine Spirits, boosting him and the other members of Ritsuka's party with the earth's leylines and their blessings, this Noble Phantasm manages to deal extra damage against Surtr before he has time to regenerate from Napoleon's previous attack, severing his connection to the Fantasy Tree. Sigurd and Brynhildr then use their Noble Phantasms once more, cutting off one of his arms and reaching deep into Surtr's core in exchange for expending all their remaining magical energy.[18]

Development[]
Creation and Conception[]
Sigurd was designed by Shirow Miwa in Fate/Grand Order.[3][2] His scenario writer is Yuuichirou Higashide in Fate/Grand Order.[3]
Yuuichirou Higashide is the one who created Sigurd as Hikaru Sakurai collaborated with him about the scene between Sigurd and Brynhildr in Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver Volume 4: Dear My Hero Arc.
Comments from Illustrator[]
Sigurd[]
« Extra details on Sigurd's wound that I couldn't include in the Materials. Omake |
(Shirow Miwa[23]) |
"I received an order at the time to be appointed “a character who is a rustic military man with short hair and glasses”, so I came to “Where did giving him glasses come from…!?”. So I designed him with an image of a modernistic protective suit for military use in contrast with Brynhildr’s divine-looking armor, and the motif of a school uniform was chosen to match Brynhildr with her sailor uniform. Just like with his ascensions, it’s not exposing much skin except with the difference of the face. The scar is by being stabbed by Brynhildr in the heart, and the heart is still burning up with blue flames even now. In other words, he’s even the same as Napoleon as he’s been the 「Nice Guy of the Extinguishable Flames」. Even then he’s healed the numerous scars he received in battle initiated by Brynhildr with a recovery rune, and thus most of his body is unscathed except the heart’s scar. Servants appear as they were in their golden days during his lifetime, but I think that the moment he received her lance is in fact his ‘peak’. A man who received his lover’s love is invincible. The thorny bits were an absolute pain to draw so I cursed the designer. What an idiot."[3]
Sigurd (Summer Spiritron Dress)[]
"Him and Brynhildr had a very great time together on their vacation. The setting this time around was lakeside camping, and so I was told to give him more of an outdoor look rather than a swimsuit. I bursted out laughing at an event scene where his glasses started shining. I thought hitting and launching Gram normally with his fist would eventually shred his hands, so I gave him brass knuckles with the divine protection of runes. The illustration card was designed to complement swimsuit Brynhildr’s final ascension art."[24]

[] Fate/EXTRA CCC - Passionlip (Alter Ego) Matrix Class: Alter Ego
Name: Passionlip
Master: BB
Noble Phantasm: Brynhild Romantia (Until Death Do Us Part)
Keyword: Breast Valley, composite divinity
Strength: A+, Endurance: A, Agility: C, Magic: B, Luck: E
Presence Concealment: A+, Constitution of an Abuse Victim: A, Trash & Crash: EXKewords 01 - Brynhild Romantia (Until Death Do Us Part)'
The Noble Phantasm that BB granted to this Alter Ego.
This Noble Phantasm strikes with more accuracy and does more damage the deeper her love toward the target is. Even if it's utterly one-sided, she will never let her loved one escape.
The Servant this Noble Phantasm was made from is the valkyrie, Brynhild, who appears in "The Völsunga Saga." The spear of love and hatred that she wielded in order to get revenge on her husband, Sigurd who betrayed her and wounded her honor. Strictly speaking, not the spear itself, but the deep love and hatred Brynhild felt for Sigurd that has taken the shape of a spear.
In "The Völsunga Saga," the fearless hero Sigurd (Siegfried) takes Brynhild, who was sleeping encircled by flame, as his wife. But afterwards, Sigurd betrays her, presenting her as his brother-in-law's wife. At first, Brynhild believed that this was due to Sigurd drinking alcohol which caused him to lose his memories and accepted these events as her immutable fate.
However, she came to know that, in reality, Sigurd had already regained his memories by that time. In the end, Brynhild killed the man she loved most in the entire world via a conspiracy and then freely took her own life in order to follow after him.
02 - Breast Valley
A simple trash box. Has the function of storing away and safeguarding unneeded data files. It's a garbage can. In Passionlip's case, the icon is set right in the middle of her chest for some reason.
To put it frankly, an imaginary space pocket into which you can put anything as long as it's as trash. If it is dust data that Passionlip has crushed, she can stow away an infinite amount, regardless of capacity.
Though it seems contradictory, it seems even objects that exceed Passionlip's own memory storage can be thrown into this valley.
At first glance, this appears to be a convenient function, but because dust data cannot be returned to its original form, it's an utterly useless function. It appears that Passionlip acquired this unique structure because she is of the type of girl who bottles her feelings up inside, leading to self-destruction and self-harm.
03 - Composite Divinity
Alter Egos are High Servants created as complexes of Heroic Spirits.
BB accessed the Moon Cell's Servant Archives, chose goddesses compatible with the Ego from them, and reproduced the data. Alter Egos came into existence as complexes of goddesses.
Passionlip is made of three goddesses.
The first is the goddess of beauty from Hindu mythology, Parvati. A goddess who loves her husband, the god of destruction Shiva, with blind devotion.
The second is the goddess of war, Durga. Considered a facet of Parvati, Durga possess ten weapons given to her as divine gifts. Passionlip's giant claws are an incarnation of those ten swords.
The third is a goddess of war from Scandinavia, Brynhildr. Unable to be tied to the hero she loved, this queen called destruction to her though her grief. In Wagner's opera, she was rendered as Brünnhilde, who appears as a valkyrie (war maiden) who escorts the souls of the departed to Valhalla. It goes without saying that the circumstances of this work led to a tragedy where she despaired over love and raised her hands against her beloved.01 - 死がふたりを分断つまで

Skills 01 - Presence Concealment [A]
A skill that allows one to take action while hiding themselves. It's a skill that those of the Assassin class possess as it's their most basis ability, but Passionlip has acquired it as well, possibly due to her personality.
Due to her timidness and cautiousness, she manifests excellent Presence Concealment, but her giant claws act as a hindrance and she is quickly discovered. If she didn't have those claws, she would be an excellent stalker.
Though this is a digression, she has been following [the PC] from early on, though no one noticed, observing and watching over them from the shadows, or something like that.
02 - Constitution of an Abuse Victim [A]
A skill that increases the chances of being targeted by enemies in group battles. It appears to be a minus skill, but for a Servant with strong defensive capabilities, possessing this skills allows them to function as an excellent escort.
A slight bonus to defense is included. Once it reaches rank A, an even more unique effect is added: The more the attacking party attacks, the more they will lose their composure until the holder of this skill is all they can think of.
03 - Trash & Crash [EX]
A unique power, called id_es, that the Alter Egos possess from their creation.
A cheat skill that evolved from "Monstrous Strength." No matter how large the capacity of the item, as long as it is "something that can be enveloped by her hands," she can crush and and compress it, whatever it may be.
What that she compresses become a 5 cm by 5 cm by 5 cm cube but its mass can only be reduced to 1/10th of its mass before it was compressed. After it's been compressed, it is treated as dust data.
The only things Passionlip can crush are garments that are smaller than her hands--not. As long as it is something that can be "placed within her hands" based on her vantage point, she can treat it as a target.
For example, in the case of her target being a mega-structure such as the Arena, as long as she is in a place where she has an unimpeded view of the Arena, the requirements will have been met.
She can hold her hands out to the faraway Arena which has become so small and once the entirety of the Arena has completely settled on her hand, it is recognized as Lip "grabbing" it and crushing it becomes possible.
It's planar physical interference which ignores perspective, but as you would expect crushing large objects requires time.01 - 気配遮断 [A+]

Setting 01 - Barrier Against Cognizance
Barrier against cognizance: Most humans cannot look at themselves from an objective point of view. This is not limited to the heart but also occurs with the physical body.
Humans cannot see themselves. No, more correctly, the impartiality to look upon "oneself without falsehoods" and accept it is rare.
Because humans possess wisdom, they are able to turn only the convenient aspects of the reality in front of their eyes into the truth. It's not just being selective about what information they accept; there is also unconsciously fabricating or modifying information.
Passionlip's barrier against cognizance is of the highest order. She does not comprehend the form of her own two hands. Her "brain" averts its eyes from her own ugly appearance, and within her mind, she is converted into an exceedingly normal girl. To her, her claws only appear as "normal."
Because of this, Lip does not understand the reason "why everyone is afraid of me." Without realizing the reason is her own body's ugliness, she would simply tilt her head if you were to point it out to her.
"Why are you telling such a lie?" "Are you lying to bully me again?"
In relation to her barrier against cognizance regarding her giant claws, Passionlip is a perfect victim. Though a barrier to cognizance is something born from trying to escape, there is neither deceit nor lies in her heart.
Everyone finds it difficult to face their ugly qualities. When one looks in the mirror, is the brain properly observing the image of oneself reflected there?
02 - The End of Love and Hate
The end of love and hate: the Ego born from BB's "desire to court" and "hate and love." The kind of alluring and innocent girl that men cannot help but feel lust for. The claws of her hands are an incarnation of her desire to protect her "easy for men to aim for" self.
She held affection for [the PC] for a certain reason, but after they spoke with each other within the labyrinth, she came to embrace even deeper affection.
She wished: I want to be close to them, I want to touch them, I want to talk to them, but due to her personality, those wishes were never granted, not even once.
I want to talk to them (but for some reason, they're afraid of me), so I can't talk to them. I want to approach them (but for some reason, they run away) so I can't approach them. I want them to love them (but I seem to be hated by them, no matter what) so I won't receive get their love.
From that dilemma, her love grew deeper, but in the face of [the PC's] rejection, that love turns into grief. Unable to withstand the burden of her feelings, by viewing the source of them as an enemy, as someone she hates, she was just barely able to keep her heart from collapsing.
The work of a heart faced with a reality that it could not withstand while sane--in other words, a rampage that resembles insanity.
The only person she loved in the entire world gave her a single gentle word.
Passionlip with continue to embrace that miracle for all eternity.
...Yes, even if despair heavy enough to crush her heart is waiting for her afterward.01 -

[] Fate/stay night - Weapon Menu: Gram [T] Gram
????
Demonic Sword, Sword of the Sun, Gram.
A demonic sword of ruin and glory that Sigurd, the greatest hero of Northern Europe, possessed in the Volsunga Saga.
It is the model of Caliburn in the legend of King Arthur. As Caliburn was a chosen sword in a stone, Gram was also a chosen sword in the mighty tree of the Volsunga king.
The legend of Gram and its possessor Sigurd is a story filled with glory and ruin, as one would expect from a great hero.
"Der Ring des Nibelungen", composed later in Middle Ages Germany, is the story of a knight equal to the legend of King Artnur, and the sword Gram changes its name and appears in it as Balmung.
As the "strongest demonic sword" equaling the "strongest holy sword", it even possesses the special characteristic of "dragon slayer". - ↑ 8.0 8.1

A sword that appears in the “Völsunga Saga” of Norse mythology. It is wielded by the hero Sigurd. The incident where Sigurd’s father Sigmund pulled Gram from the trunk of a tree later became the model for Caliburn, the sword in the stone. After Sigurd reforged Gram from the shattered pieces, it is said to have become a demonic sword capable even of killing a dragon.グラム

[] Fate/Apocrypha material - Encyclopedia: Saber of “Black” [Servant], p.162 [T] Saber of “Black” [Servant]
One of the Servants of the Black camp. His true name is Siegfried. He is an undisputed great hero and “dragon slayer” who appears in the “Nibelungenlied”. His tall stature, slender body and tanned-colored skin are proof of him having been soaked in the blood of a dragon. The reason the weak point on his back is exposed is because of a “curse” that forces him to do so. It conceptually prevents him from protecting his back. Even if Siegfried were to be protected by something like a spherical barrier, a hole in it would definitely open facing his back. However, there aren’t many heroes who possess the skill to pull off the tricky feat of aiming for Siegfried’s back while fighting him in the first place.
Just as the impression of his face gives off, he is reticent, but his bearing, which overflows with dignity, makes him seem well-bred. He is the type to talk with a simple, unsophisticated tone and hold back his words to the absolute minimum needed. That is the foundation of his personality, and it deepened the antagonism between him and his Master Gordes.
Siegfried’s legend came into existence around the 5~6th century and spread to many lands. At nearly the same time as the “Nibelungenlied”, the story of the hero Sigurd, the “Volsunga Saga”, came into existence. Wagner’s opera “Der Ring des Nibelungen” is a masterpiece work that compiles these legends together.
In the light novels, Siegfried as he was portrayed in the “Nibelungenlied” forms the basic essentials of his character, and he only knows about the Norse Valkyries from second-hand knowledge.
With him possessing the noble lineage of royalty, being known for various his adventures and heroic tales and having met a tragic end, there are few heroes who are as heroic as him.
But it is precisely because he is such a heroic hero that he was unconsciously burdened by binds. A hero acts out of the supplications of the people, and therefore should not act without being asked. This is because a hero is such a being. Because they possess overwhelmingly immense power, they must not act out of their own will and try to grant their own wish. A hero is a being that fulfills the wishes of others, and must not ever tread any further than that.
When his wife and the wife of his brother-in-law wounded each other’s honor and a collision between them became inevitable, he once more granted everyone’s wish. He thought that it would be resolved if he, the cause of it all, died. In the end, it called forth even more tragedy, so it seems the curse of the Rhine gold took effect perfectly.
As a Servant, he is basically hard, solid and tough. “Armor of Fafnir: Blood Armor of the Evil Dragon” blocks all regular attacks up to B rank and all Noble Phantasm attacks up to B+ rank and, in addition, “Balmung: Phantasmal Greatsword, Felling of the Sky Demon” unleashes a wide-range attack that displays its true worth against an army. The blue jewel encased in the hilt of the sword contains prana from the Age of Gods, and it is possible to pull out the sword’s power to the maximum with just small quantity of it. During his battle with Karna, Sieg managed to use the Noble Phantasm so many times consecutively only because he continued instantaneously pulling out the sword’s power while replenishing his prana with “Galvanism”. The Servant version of Siegfried cannot instantly replenish the prana he expends, so his sword’s accumulation of prana is overwhelmingly faster than that of an average Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, though still not as fast as Sieg.
In the initial plans of the Yggdmillennia team, Siegfried would go out to the front lines and receive the attacks of enemy Servants as Vlad III’s protector. Vlad would be positioned to control the battlefield with “Kaziklu Bey: Lord of Execution”. Jack the Ripper would kill the enemy Masters and cause chaos in the enemy’s rear guard along with Frankenstein. Astolfo would guide the golems and control the situation with Avicebron, while Chiron would act as support by shooting at areas where a hole in the enemy lines could be made.
It was truly a perfect formation as an academic theory, but they were forced to tearfully change tactics due to Siegfried unbelievably leaving the battlefield before the war actually began.“黒”のセイバー【サーヴァント】

Brynhild Romantia - Until Death Splits the Two Apart
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Profile
Daughter of Odin, the Great God of Northern Europe, and one of the battle-maidens Valkyries. A tragic woman from Norse mythology.
A battle-maiden regarded in the same light as Sigrdrífa, the fated person of the great hero Sigurd in the "Volsunga Saga", she is also similarly portrayed as a Valkyrie who fell in love with Sigurd in the "Sigrdrífumál" and the "Helreið Brynhildar" from Elder Edda.
Level 1 Bond
Height/Weight: 172cm・52kg
Source: Norse mythology
Region: Europe
Alignment: Neutral Good Gender: Female
She is regarded as the younger sister of Attila (King Atli) in the "Volsunga Saga", the "Guðrúnarkviða" and "Sigurðarkviða hin skamma" from Elder Edda and etc.(1)
Level 2 Bond
Calm and devoted. There is some loneliness mixed in the gentle smile of this unfortunate battle-maiden.
Despite behaving like a "doll" with a weak sense of self back when she was a Divine Spirit as the eldest of the Valkyries, after falling on earth upon incurring the wrath of her fatherly Great God, she became endowed with human nature and personality due to the incidental meeting with Sigurd.
Level 3 Bond
Compassionate and full of affection, she thoroughly devotes herself to the person she came to love. A woman who was supposed to spend her lifetime as good wife if it wasn't for that tragedy.
Although she never stopped loving Sigurd more than anyone else, she came to embrace the flames of killing intent at the end of a cursed tragic fate, eventually ending up killing him and also burning herself to ashes.
Level 4 Bond
"Until Death Splits the Two Apart"
Rank: B Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Brynhild Romantia.
A Noble Phantasm that has molded the deep feelings of love towards the fated person as the spear of magic silver that she employed while alive.
The deeper her love towards the target becomes, the more the weight and size of this spear will change. It displays a especially tremendous efficacy in regards to her beloved Sigurd (it is also quite effective towards Siegfried, who has deep connections to him).
Level 5 Bond
Even now, having turned into a Heroic Spirit, she still loves Sigurd deeply.
Nevertheless, if by any chance he is summoned before her, she will automatically point her spear towards him.
This is because, upon being shaped as a Heroic Spirit, both she herself and her Noble Phantasm ended up being given the definition of "something that kills Sigurd".
Interlude
In regards to the "dragon-slayer" hero Siegfried, who possesses the same origins as Sigurd, although she recognizes him as "someone different from Sigurd", it seems that she somehow senses something close to him and thus feverish gazes at him tries to get alone just the two of them (and then tries to kill him).
And also, sometimes towards the Master as well...
(1)So they went ahead and pulled this out as well. When you also take into account the whole Siegfried/EMIYA thing, this whole mess seems like a huge Seiyuu joke.ブリュンヒルデ - ランサー
