Sion Eltnam Atlasia (シオン・エルトナム・アトラシア, Shion Erutonamu Atorashia?) is the original major heroine of Melty Blood Act timeline depicted in Melty Blood up to Melty Blood Actress Again. She is the primary heroine of the first game and Melty Blood Re-ACT. In Tsukihime Worlds Sion takes the name "Atlasia" after becoming director of Atlas, while the Sion of Fate Worlds keeps her "Sokaris" surname.
Profile[]
Background[]
Originally named Sion Eltnam Sokaris (シオン・エルトナム・ソカリス, Shion Erutonamu Sokarisu?),[1][2] Sion is an alchemist of Atlas located in Egypt, one of the three main branches of the Mage's Association. She is a genius scientist and she excelled within Atlas. She is given a position equal to the representative of Atlas at an extremely young age, eight years before Melty Blood.[1] This event gave her the name of Atlasia, allowed to be used only by those who were the head of Atlas. As she hailed from the disgraced Eltnam family, she had long harbored doubts about her situation, and was troubled by the fact that she didn't know what the problem was.[3][4]
Three years before Melty Blood, the Church organization learned that the next appearance of Night of Wallachia took place in a small mountain village in Italy. The Church petitioned Atlas for help with a vampire hunt due to their connection to Wallachia rather than the Prague alchemists, the angst-filled Sion volunteered her services. Sion and Riesbyfe Stridberg took part in the assignment to demolish the vampire. Both organizations confronted the TATARI, one of the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors, as they only had normal Conceptual Weapons, they were unable to affect the phenomenon no matter how many times they defeated its materializations. Three days later, the mission was unsuccessful and TATARI annihilated the village and slaughtered everybody including the dispatched Knights of the Church. Riesbyfe sacrificed herself to save Sion and faced Wallachia alone so that Sion could escape.[5][6] This vampire, Wallachia was the one who made her into one of his kind. She never returned to the Mage's Association from that day on and she is presently being chased both by the Church and Mage's Association. She feels a constant thirst for blood, and is searching for a cure before she becomes a vampire.
Three years after that incident and before of events of Melty Blood started, Sion arrived in Misaki Town during her search for Arcueid Brunestud, hoping that she may know a cure for vampirism, to turn her back into a human once more. She is also seeking out Wallachia to take revenge. Arriving in Misaki, she ended up meeting with Satsuki Yumizuka for the first time in the back alleys. Because both her and Satsuki have had the same kind of tragic fate (being turned into vampires and escaping the current society), both quickly became friends and formed the Back Alley Alliance. They were acquainted when she was still alive even before Sion arrived to Japan, Sion is Satsuki's pen-pal friend.[7] It seems that ever since the Back Alley Alliance was founded, safety in the alleys has improved remarkably.[8] It was also thanks to Satsuki that Sion got the basic information about Shiki Tohno, Arcueid, Ciel, Akiha Tohno and their involvements in cases caused by Michael Roa Valdamjong and Nrvnqsr Chaos in Tsukihime.
Appearance[]
Sion is a woman with long, bright purple hair kept in a long braid, white skin and purple eyes. Her regular outfit consists of a white skirt, purple shoes and stockings, and a white blouse with a purple overshirt and cap; the last two are emblazoned with the symbol of Atlas. Sion wears a mustard yellow scarf tied in a manner reminiscent of a cravat, and adorns each of her wrists with a toroidal, yellow bracelet.
While in her vampire form, her skin is pale and her eye color changes to red. The parts of her clothes that would normally be purple are instead brown, and over her body some lines, possibly veins or arteries, become visible.
In Carnival Phantasm Episode 2, she wears purple bikini at the beach volleyball scene.
Personality[]
Her personality is overly serious and logical. Sion is frequently composed and calculating, always determined for perfection but deep down she's a warmhearted genius scholar. Having fun doesn't come naturally to her at all. However, that doesn't mean she's incapable of it. Perhaps it's more accurate to say she's a chairman-of-the-committee type, who really does want to have fun deep down.[3][4] She is, in fact, moderately emotional and enormously easy to set off. She is a self-satisfied character, but whenever Shiki makes a remarkable statement, she gets displeased. Although she had lived most of her life in isolation, she gained her first true friend in Shiki. Unlike the other Tsukihime heroines who are always at odd with each other, she's a rare type capable of getting along with everybody in her own way.[3][4] Sion originally thought of Riesbyfe as a reliable companion but it was only when they were torn apart is when they realized they had become friends.[5][6] Sion shares the same elitism like the other Atlas alchemist and looks down on Michael Roa Valdamjong on principle, even though they both subscribe to the common idea that "everything flows".[9]
Upon becoming Sion TATARI, she greatly changes. Though she still possesses a shred of human reason during her arcade scenario, she completely degenerates into a vampire that revels in destruction and sucking blood in her ending.[10] She has "inherited" Wallachia's "Cut, cut, cut!", but her rendition can be called "dignified and cute".[11]
Role[]
Melty Blood[]
Sion is the heroine of Melty Blood, the game in which she first appears. She appeared in Misaki Town and met Tohno Shiki in Shinre Skyscraper when he was investigating the case of the return of the vampire serial killer in town. After a fight, they both agreed to help each other. As the Night of Wallachia appeared within the city of Misaki Town it was able to manifest the fear present in several of the main characters’ hearts, creating entities such as an evil Arcueid who had succumbed to her bloodlust, a form of the bloodthirsty assassin side of Shiki, and even the memory of Nrvnqsr Chaos. He even managed to make her succumb to her vampiric impulses for the first time, and made her fight against Shiki. Wallachia was eventually destroyed when Arcueid used her Marble Phantasm to prematurely summon Crimson Moon, stripping Wallachia of his power, after which he was killed by Shiki and Sion. She later returned to Atlas and persuaded the commission boards, as they denounced her for leaving Atlas, by presenting them Zepias's TATARI System, the destruction caused by Crimson Moon's return, and the concept for the self-contained computing unit named, the Osiris Sand System. In the end her name Eltnam, which she hates, and her Atlasia crown are the ones who did the favour for her. She gave away the intellectual property rights for all of them to the commission boards, yet her body still remembers what happens to her even if she tries to forget the memories. The information from Ries, which she stole from Wallachia, is still occupying two of her thought portions and thanks to it, her abilities have decreased.[5][6] Yet, she is glad that the machine known as Sion Eltnam Atlasia is destroyed and that she is reborn as her current self. But it is still the fact that her current self is an alchemist who is at the same time a half-vampire with weak vampiric impulses. She still retains her vampire sense of smell even in her human form.[1] [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20]
In the future, Sion would collaborate with Kohaku to development more devilish drugs in her Psycho Garden.[21]
Melty Blood Back Alley Nightmare[]
Carnival Phantasm[]
Sion has a minor role in Carnival Phantasm. Together with Satsuki and Riesbyfe, they share a segment called "The Back Alley Alliance" when Riesbyfe ignores Satsuki and often Sion has to stop them by saying the phrase "All according to my calculations". It should be noted that Sion often says that everything was according to her calculations, even about the smallest things. She even pretends she knows about things she really does not know at all.
Other appearances[]
In the Fate/EXTRA universe, Sion died when she was born and her younger twin sister Sialim Eltnam Re-Atlasia became the last Atlas Alchemist and the creator of Rani VIII.[22]
Sion appears as a playable character in the game UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH under the name Eltnum (エルトナム, Erutonamu?). Eltnum's Infinite Worths (インフイニツトワース, Infinitto Wāsu?) is her Barrel Replica. Her Infinite Worths EX (インフイニツトワースイグジスト, Infinitto Wāsu Igujisuto?) is Tri Hermes Blackland (トライヘルメス・ブラックランド, Torai Herumesu Burakkurando?), where she summons Hermes to finish off opponents.
In BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Akatsuki has an alternate color palette based on Eltnum.
Abilities[]
Sion excelled within the Atlas Institute, and was even awarded the name Atlasia, which marks her as the Institute's next director.[3][4] Although Alchemists are known for creating precious metals from base metals, in Atlas, they have no interest in the transmutation of elements. They are researchers closer to science than alchemy. Normally, Magi use their Magic Circuits, paths connecting to the Root, to bring their ideal future closer. However, the alchemists at Atlas are weak. Because their bodies are hereditarily frail and their Magic Circuits are below average, they must rely only on their intellect to make their ideal future a reality. Alchemists such as Sion understand that the future is derived from the present. Changing the ingredients of the present day can make the future better or worse. Due to this, they analyze these ingredients to measure the future. They dramatically shift probability to make a perfect model from the ingredients.[13]
The foundational techniques of Atlas are Thought Acceleration and Memory Partition. To go beyond that, you then need to fundamentally alter your body through magical acceleration or magical conversion:[13]
- Thought Acceleration: The main Magecraft of Atlas Alchemists. Fast thinking is only a prerequisite. Thought Acceleration itself is applying that ability to multi-expansion diagrams.[13]
- Memory Partition: If Thought Acceleration is proof of an Alchemist, then their number of sectors is proof of their facilities. As the name implies, the Alchemists of Atlas are able to partition their thoughts to form multiple thought processes. Normal people have only one "room" in their brains, so they can focus only on one thought at a time. Through Memory Partition, Sion can add partitions inside one room to create several rooms. Alchemists of Atlas must be able to partition their thoughts into 3 rooms, and 5 is considered on the level of a genius. While Sion usually uses the example of dividing one thought into rooms, that would be the limit of a strictly average alchemist. Superior alchemists may perform first-order TetrationsWP of their thought in synergetic rooms. 4 Thought Partitions allow 256 thought processes. But, that does not simply mean 256 alchemist calculations can be achieved. The 256 accelerated intelligences do not work independently, but constantly towards the same goal. If it was simply calculation, current machines would be on the same level. However, when it comes to problem-solving, nothing else even compares.[13]
Sion claims that no one can match her speed of thought and rational acquisition.[1]
Combat[]
Despite being an Alchemist, Sion possesses an envious level of physical prowess, which rivals or surpasses that of a Dead Apostle.[2] This is because after being defeated by Tatari, one of The Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors, three years before the start of Melty Blood, she had her blood sucked by Tatari, becoming a Vampire.[3][4] In exchange for her body being harmed by the sun, her abilities are greatly enhanced and allow her to fight better. However, her superior body requires more fuel which normal food doesn't provide.[19][15] The poison of Wallachia's blood as a Dead Apostle is weak, so he cannot make others his complete subordinates like other Dead Apostles. He does not even normally seek to create others, only choosing Sion for the possibility that she could succeed in his search for the Sixth. He is a being that does not "occur" for long periods of time, so she is able to remain human much more easily than others. She is still reaching her limits after three years, having become almost a half-vampire plagued by her thirst for blood. With Wallachia manifesting, his influence over her is immediate and overpowering. Without intelligence, he cannot influence her greatly, but he can impose his will upon her after fully forming due to her not being able to go against her parent vampire.[citation needed]
Sion's method of fighting is entirely different from those Shiki Tohno fought during Tsukihime. It consists of chipping away the opponent's fighting strength rather than their body like everyone else does.[1] Any situation can change within a second, similar to a wiring diagram showing all possibilities.[13] From this sea of possibilities, Sion calculates the most likely outcome of events using Thought Acceleration and Memory Partition and chooses the most suitable attack.[14][13] She does not see the future in combat, but is simply one step ahead. For Alchemists, fighting consists of assembling the proper ingredients ahead of time. Neither strong physically nor in Magecraft, they predict the future to steer it away from the worst outcome. If there is no predicted "future with victory", the alchemist of Atlas will not fight. Shiki describes this fighting style as very close to gambling, to which Sion agrees.[13]
Sion states that Shiki Tohno is undoubtedly superior to her at fighting. Therefore, she has to use alternative methods to obtain victory.[13] One hour before ambushing Shiki, Sion revised all the data she had from him and calculated every single of his maneuvers. The numbers indicated that they were evenly matched, but that thanks to her thorough knowledge her chances of winning were high.[1] Having already simulated all of his patterns, Sion claims that it was only logical she defeated Shiki.[13] Sion rates Shiki's choices in combat at merely 70%. Even with the ability to inflict instant death, his tactics are still easily predicted using Thought Acceleration and Memory Partition.[1] Despite defeating Shiki, Sion states that the possibility for defeat still lay everywhere in their previous fight. Incorrectly choosing a branch of possibility would render everything useless. If Shiki had acted completely outside of predictive behavior, out of whim like he normally does, it would have not been surprising if she lost.[13] Sion states she didn't finish him off because he might have used a very strong counterattack.[1]
In the AGITATOR and GOODBYE routes, the roles are reversed and Shiki Tohno defeats Sion. Even though Sion had collected all his data, she could not finish reading it. She says that even if everything was walking on a tightrope, she can't believe she was finished before she even had a chance to start. She claims she lost due to carelessness, and that her performance was far below her standard. She miscalculated his power, causing her evasion abilities to miss by 0.5%. She claims that if not for that one small mistake, she would have won.[1] In retrospection, Sion notes that she was never fully aware of his fighting experience. She says that having already fought against members of The Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors and an agent of the Holy Church, she can hardly be considered a threat to him.[12]
Ciel praises Sion's abilities and claims that they have improved since the last time they met. Due to this, Ciel says that fighting her would not be a good idea.[12] On the other hand, Sion states that if she faced Ciel, she would be forced to either flee or be destroyed.[14] However, due to Sion having Shiki Tohno under her control thanks to the Etherlite, Ciel is forced to retreat. Ciel states that she cannot win as long as Shiki is restrained and that in the worst-case scenario, she wouldn't even be able to escape.[12] In the G. route, Ciel is brainwashed by Hisui and defeated by Akiha Tohno and Sion working together.[18]
In the "Hologram Summer" and "Other tale" routes, Ciel fights Sion, Akiha Tohno, and Shiki Tohno simultaneously. Eventually, Ciel withdraws, saying that both sides will be defeated if the battle continues, to which Sion agrees. Shiki later notes that Ciel wasn't fighting seriously and that even though it was three against one, it was still uneven.[16] In another route where Ciel doesn't hold back,[17] she wins, leaving Shiki with no strength left and Sion collapsed on the ground.[16]
Even if Sion knows the future, she can't oppose it. She may predict her movements and try to counter her opponent, but she can't make the impossible happen, just like a how Human can't dodge a bullet even if they know its trajectory. Due to this, Red Arcueid states that no matter how Sion approaches the problem, she lacks the elements to defeat her in a fight. While Sion agrees, she is still able to keep up with her using her speed of thought to predict Arcueid's movements.[14] Shiki Tohno also believes that Sion is no match for serious Akiha.[13] Sion states she cannot defeat Aoko Aozaki and decides to withdraw before she gets serious.[23]
Satsuki Yumizuka cannot beat Sion because she has not matured as a Vampire despite her great aptitude.[23]
Barrel Replica[]
Sion wields Barrel Replica (バレルレプリカ, Bareru Repurika?) as one of her primary weapons. This Mystic Code is a replica of the Black Barrel, one of the seven superweapons on display at the Atlas Institute. It is a Conceptual Weapon of "natural lifespan", which demonstrates a toxin (attack power) in proportion to the predestined span of the target's life. Sion uses this Barrel Replica in her Arc Drive, but it seems that she isn't utilizing its original function. Furthermore, although she discharges the energy horizontally in her Last Arc, Barrel Replica Obelisk, she is able to avoid being blown back by the recoil by anchoring her body to the ground with Etherlite.[24] Though it is incapable of wiping out Night of Wallachia, it can hamper the program by many years.[20]
Etherlite[]
One of Sion's weapons in the Etherlite (エーテライト, Ēteraito?),[3][4] a technique handed down in the Eltnam family.[13] It consists of an artificial Nervous systemWP with the shape of a nanoWP-scale filament one micronWP thick that cannot be seen with the naked eye.[1][12][3][4][25] Although it's used like a whip in the game,[25] it is actually designed to attach to the opponent's skin, integrate with their central nervous system,[1][12][25] and read their thoughts and memories.[2] [14][25] It is because of this technique that the name Eltnam has become synonymous with Spiritron Hacking. Though the thought-reading function seems vile enough, its ability to "merge with and copy memories and experiences" is actually even more dangerous. This inhumane and demonic "acquisition of another's life", which even the Atlas Institute shuns, is a technique unique to the Eltnam family.[25] The Etherlite is connected to Sion through her bracelet,[12] and the maxiumum range is 5,000 meters, so it is a simple matter for it to fill the entire body of the target.[1]
The Etherlite can also be used to control the target's body.[12] Furthermore, Sion can send electricty through the filament to burn victim's brain. Once connected, it cannot be removed except by Sion, and if it is cut, it will burn the entire host's body. While it may not be effective against Arcueid Brunestud, it is quite effective against Humans.[1] Sion states that while it would take some work to burn Shiki Tohno's brain, the chances of success are very high.[12]
The manga includes the ability to release the limiter on a person's nerves to greatly increase their physical ability as a last resort. Due to going over their normal limits by releasing the body's restraints, it puts large strain on the them and can not be used very often. Once the limiter is enabled again, the target is left unable to move for a time.[citation needed]
Forms and Alternate Versions[]
Sion TATARI[]
Vampire Sion), also known as V Sion (Vシオン, V Shion?), is the form Sion takes after becoming one with TATARI. She becomes TATARI's successor and becomes almost unrecognizable as Sion.
Abilities[]
As a master of statistics and random numbers, she is skilled at attacking through the manipulation of information just like Wallachia, using Terror News (テラーニュース, Terā Nyūsu?) to actualize physical Malignant Information with magical energy.[26] Using her Etherlite in combination with her ability Replicant Conductor ( レプリカントコンダクター, Repurikanto Kondakutā?) can create a phantom-like copy of an individual that is able to reproduce his or her abilities to an extent. Forgoing the use of her Etherlite in direct battle for the most part, she prefers to attack with her own claws, and her Arc Drive, Cruel Blood (クルーエル・ブラッド, Kurūeru Buraddo?), is Melty Blood's one-and-only act of bloodsucking. She has inherited all of the countless victims absorbed by Wallachia over the years and kept as information, but there is some that she cannot yet fully break down and rearrange.[10] It is Riesbyfe's information, protected from being "digested" by her Apocrypha, that was transferred to Sion. While she may eventually "vomit it up", she is able to recreate Riesbyfe's information to attack an enemy for her Last Arc.[5]
Development[]
Kinoko Nasu said that Sion and Riesbyfe story would continue as long as fans exists, Nasu said it would be great if French Bread would develop the Melty Blood remake alongside with the Tsukihime remake.[27] Sion makes a guest appearance in UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH. Her inclusion came about as French Bread was beginning work on a tentative Melty Blood HD, but lacked a way to continue the story because Nasu was too busy with Mahou Tsukai no Yoru. The project is currently postponed, so while working on UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH, they had enough time after the early stage of development to add one more character. They didn't have enough time to fully create a new character, so they used a modified test character from "Melty Blood HD" with TYPE-MOON's permission.[28] A decade later after the success of Under Night In-Birth, "Melty Blood HD" development returns and being remade in new timeline as of the Near side route remake Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, now named as a remake-based prequel game Melty Blood: Type Lumina. Although Sion and most cast who are primarily appears in Tatari saga, such as Riesbyfe and Zepia/Wallachia are yet to appear in Type: Lumina, until a remake of Melty Blood Act sub-series being made afterwards.[29]
Creation and Conception[]
Her initial design concept was "an alchemist and a soldier". Though Melty Blood diverges into various routes depending on the outcome of each fight, in the majority of the endings Sion leaves town having awakened to faint feelings of love but it was cut out.[3] Vampire Sion was a hidden character in the original Melty Blood, but as of Re-ACT she's selectable by default.[11]
Reception[]
- In the Fourth character popularity poll in 2003, Sion was ranked 8th.
- In the Type-Moon's 10th Anniversary Character Poll, Sion from Melty Blood was ranked 34th.

Full name, Sion Eltnam Atlasia. An alchemist from the Atlas Institute, one of the three great branches of the Association.
Melty Blood's guest heroine. Her trademarks are her purple uniform and long braid, and her weapons are Etherlite (a nano-scale filament) and the Barrel Replica (an imitation of the "Black Barrel").
Though she hails from the disgraced Eltnam family, she excelled within the Atlas Institute, and was even awarded with the name Atlasia, which marks her as the Institute's next director. However, she had long harbored doubts about her situation, and was troubled by the fact that she didn't know what the problem was.
As a result, when the Church petitioned Atlas for help with a vampire hunt, the angst-filled Sion volunteered her services. She confronted the Tatari, one of the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors, and was ultimately defeated. Afterward, while suppressing her own now-vampire body, she evaded pursuit from both the Church and the Association and tried to challenge the Tatari one more time, but…
Her personality is totally serious and logical, and having fun doesn't come naturally to her at all. However, that doesn't mean she's incapable of it. Perhaps it's more accurate to say she's a chairman-of-the-committee type, who really does want to have fun deep down.
Though Melty Blood diverges into various routes depending on the outcome of each fight, in the majority of the endings Sion leaves town having awakened to faint feelings of love – her first love, in fact. Sadly, it was cut short before it even began.
An oddity among the Tsukihime heroines (who are, by and large, always at each other's throats), she is capable of getting along with everybody, in her own way.
Her initial design concept was "an alchemist and a soldier", which should be obvious just from seeing her in action. Her energetic movements are very fitting.
By the way, her miniskirt is so short you almost can't even see it at all. If I'm not mistaken, this is what they call the "absolute territory", yes?

During Vampire Sion's Last Arc, she attacks the enemy by recreating Riesbyfe's information. Apparently, since Riesbyfe was swallowed up by the Tatari, she was transferred into Vampire Sion when she inherited its power.
Properly speaking, because everything swallowed by the Tatari is reconfigured as equivalent data, things that can be recreated separately from the Tatari like Riesbyfe are rare. Presumably, it's due to the presence of the True Apocrypha, acting as a shield and slowing her absorption.

Shiki's classmate. Her nickname is Sacchin.
She is a pitiable girl, who had been Shiki's classmate several times since middle school, but never managed to capture his attention.
She just happened to catch sight of somebody who looked like Shiki walking through town one day, and because of that ended up being bitten by a vampire. Afterward, she stalked the town at night as a half vampire herself, her body and mind crumbling, until she encountered Shiki and met her end.
Basically, your typical tragic heroine. She remained unrewarded to the bitter end, but I'd like to believe she at least received a fleeting salvation in her last moments.
As it happens, she had an exceptional predisposition for being a vampire. The fact that she was able to operate as a Dead Apostle less than a day after being bitten is totally unheard of. That she was only able to discover her talents after death… it's a little ironic, no? Exactly what you'd expect from the shadow heroine Sacchin.
Still, at her core she's a normal girl. Though she might be on the same level as the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors as far as pure suitability is concerned, since her personality is still human it seems that she's doomed to be an eternal dropout.
In Melty Blood Re-act, she participates as a usable character for the first time, allowing players to enjoy situations that were impossible in the original story. Sion is her pen-pal and fellow back-alley dweller. It's a relationship based on the assumption that Satsuki was still alive when Sion first came to Japan.
The reason she doesn't have the corpse-throwing killer move that she demonstrated in Tsukihime is because the Satsuki in Re-act has still never killed anybody. Perhaps if there's ever a "full vampire" version of Satsuki, though, it will make an appearance as well?

[] Tsukihime Dokuhon PlusPeriod - TSUKIHIME Dictionary: Serpent [Colloquial term], p.188 Serpent [Colloquial term]
Roa's nickname. The Dead Apostles gave it to him, in reference to the way he lives on through reincarnation. Given that he dabbled in alchemy, it's quite fitting.
Of course, when you hear alchemy the first thing you think of is Sion, but Sion is an Atlas alchemist, which is something totally different from those alchemists that devoted themselves to Western sorcery. It seems that the Atlas alchemists don't think much of Roa for that very reason, even though they both subscribe to the common idea that "everything flows". Also, contrary to what you may expect, Sion too is possessed of this same elitism, and looks down on Roa on principle.
…Huh? Then are Sion and Ciel actually on bad terms…?
- ↑ 10.0 10.1
[] Melty Blood Act Cadenza PS2 Manual - Dictionary: Vampire Sion [Person's name], p.058 Vampire Sion [Person's name]
Sion after she has completely changed into a vampire. Master of statistics and random numbers.
In this state, she is almost unrecognizable as Sion, and is skilled at attacking via the manipulation of information just like Wallachia.
While she still possesses a shred of human reason during her arcade scenario, in her ending she has completely degenerated into a vampire that revels in destruction and sucking blood.
Though she has inherited all the countless victims (information) absorbed by the Tatari over the years, it seems that there is information there that she has not yet been able to fully break down and rearrange. And when you eat something bad or rotten, the best thing to do is throw it up.
I wonder if someday Sion will vomit up this undigested "thing"…?
- ↑ 11.0 11.1
[] Tsukihime Dokuhon PlusPeriod - TSUKIHIME Dictionary: V Sion [Person's name], p.187 V Sion [Person's name]
Sion after she has completely changed into a vampire.
The master of statistics and random numbers, who started carrying out the Tatari as Wallachia's successor. You could say she's Black Sion.
She was a hidden character in the original Melty Blood, but as of Re-act she's selectable by default.
In this form she does not use her Etherlite very much, preferring instead to attack with her own claws. Her Arc Drive, Cruel Blood, is Melty Blood's one-and-only act of bloodsucking. It's an appropriate Arc Drive for the guest heroine that represents Melty Blood itself, don't you think?
She inherited Wallachia's "Cut, cut, cut!", but her version is dignified and cute. Oh, and her casual win pose is pretty sexy, don't you think?V

[] Fate/EXTRA material - Encyclopedia: Sialim Eltnam Re-Atlasia [Person's name], p.184 Sialim Eltnam Re-Atlasia [Person's name]
Rani's teacher. The last alchemist and the one who created Rani. After sending Rani to the moon, she succumbed to disease.
As an Atlasian alchemist she was devoted only to her own research, but in the end as a human being, she made Rani and fell into eternal slumber.
Why she ordered Rani to go to the moon was to see whether it was possible for not just alchemists but for humanity to continue existing in the cyber world, which would mean having to give up their physical bodies.
Unlike other magi, the Atlasian alchemists do not have the objective of evolving into a higher state of existence. The top priority of Atlas is to avoid the future of destruction. Essentially, this means that it's okay for humanity to change or decline as a species if it means surviving, and she stuck to that thinking.
As one manifestation of that side of her, she also left Rani with the cold order of incinerating the Moon Cell along with herself if it proved to be a monster that couldn't be controlled.
In EXTRA, Rani might have referred to her as a “teacher”, but, sorry, just forget that happened.
Also, there might have been something about Sialim having a twin elder sister who died at birth.
. - ↑ 23.0 23.1 Melty Blood Re-ACT - Sion Eltnam Atlasia

[] Melty Blood Act Cadenza PS2 Manual - Dictionary: Barrel Replica [Weapon name], p.050 Barrel Replica [Weapon name]
The mystic code possessed by Sion. A replica of the Black Barrel, one of the seven superweapons on display at the Atlas Institute. It is a conceptual armament of "natural lifespan", which demonstrates a toxin (attack power) in proportion to the predestined span of the target's life.
Sion uses this Barrel Replica in her Arc Drive, but it seems that she isn't utilizing its original function.
Also, though she discharges the energy horizontally in her Last Arc, Barrel Replica Obelisk, she is able to avoid being blown back by the recoil by anchoring her body to the ground with Etherlite.
- ↑ 25.0 25.1 25.2 25.3 25.4
[] Melty Blood Act Cadenza PS2 Manual - Dictionary: Etherlite [Term], p.059 Etherlite [Term]
The nanofilament wire wielded by Sion.
Although it's used like a whip in the game, it's actually designed to attach to the opponent's skin, integrate with their central nervous system, and read their thoughts and memories. It is because of this technique that the name Eltnam has become synonymous with spiritual hacking.
Though the thought-reading function seems vile enough, its ability to "merge with and copy memories and experiences" is actually even more dangerous. This inhumane and demonic "acquisition of another's life", which even the Atlas Institute shuns, is a technique unique to the Eltnam family.
[] Melty Blood Act Cadenza PS2 Manual - Dictionary: Malignant Information [Term], p.060 Malignant Information [Term]
A requirement for the appearance of the Tatari. Shared common knowledge circulating throughout a closed community. Develops by making use of things like anonymous accusations, improbable testimonies, and popular trends. It will take on various forms depending on the circumstances, but at its core is "nothing". It is for this very reason that the Tatari itself is said to have no true identity.
The "Bad News" used by the Night of Wallachia and the "Terror News" used by Vampire Sion were both forms of this, materialized with magical energy. The creation and control of malignant copies is a particularly advanced application.
