Solomon's Rings (ソロモンの指輪, Soromon no Yubiwa?, localized as "Seal of SolomonWP"GO) are a set of ten rings given to Solomon by God. They manifest in the capacity of a Skill, Solomon's Rings, for Heroic Spirit Solomon and Beast Goetia. Nine of the rings were returned to God by Solomon in life, but one ring remained and eventually was acquired by Marisbury Animusphere.

Characteristics[]

Goetia's replacement ring

Possession of all ten rings grants the user complete control over all magecraft performed by mankind, allowing for its complete nullification.[1] Described as granting Solomon "true omnipotence," their functions were only utilized a single time in life.[2] The rings must all be together for the Noble Phantasm Ars Nova to be utilized.[2] Within the context of the gameplay of Fate/Grand Order, each ring grants a separate buff for the user or debuff for an enemy.[3]

Goetia, possessing Solomon's body, retains possession of nine rings, but replaces a missing ring with a silver replica ring on the middle finger of his left hand.[2][1]

History[]

The ten rings were granted to Solomon after God granted him "true wisdom," the mark of a wise man approved by God. Later going on to be called Solomon's Rings, they were known as the origin of magecraft employing the use of angels and demons.[1] Having only utilized the rings once in his life, Solomon, at the end of his life, returned all but one of them to Heaven of his own free will. On God's command, the remaining was instead sent to the future for unknown purposes, assumed by Solomon to be a whim. It was eventually obtained by Marisbury Animusphere after being dug up, utilizing it as a Catalyst to summon Solomon as a Servant. After Solomon and Marisbury won the Holy Grail War and Solomon wished to be human, the newly reborn Romani Archaman kept the ring on him.[2]

Goetia manifested with the other nine rings, replacing the missing ring with a replica. When Romani confronted Goetia and revealed his true identity as Solomon and all ten rings were once again gathered, Solomon used Ars Nova to defeat Goetia.[2] Goetia, taking on a human form, utilized the ten rings in a final battled with Ritsuka Fujimaru. After his final defeat, the rings were left behind in the Singularity, reduced to only the throne on which Goetia sat.[4] The rings remained on the throne for a year, until someone approached the throne and retrieved at least one of them.[5]
