Takeda HarunobuWP (武田晴信WP?), Class Name Rider (ライダー, Raidā?), is a Rider-class Servant summoned by the Takeda Clan in the altered history of Golden Demon Realm ZIPANG in GUDAGUDA Taikou Legend ZIPANG. He is also summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
Takeda Shingen was the Daimyo of the Kai province and father of Takeda Katsuyori. He died, but was impersonated by his son before being resurrected as a servant.
Takeda Shingen, Kai's feudal lord during the Warring States era, was widely renowned for commanding the strongest cavalry force during that turbulent period of time. He won numerous battles with his skillful military tactics and diplomacy, and his great power terrified the feudal lords of various other countries. “Man makes thy fortress, thy stone wall, and thy moat; Compassion shall be thy ally, while revenge shall be thy foe.”
A feudal lord during the Warring States era. The eldest son of Takeda Nobutora, Kai's governor at the time, he was named Harunobu. The name Shingen as he is commonly known as, is his legal name. He expelled his father Nobutora whom he was on bad terms with to Suruga and took over the clan. He then invaded Shinano, beat the crap out of them, and conquered the province.
After that, he fought Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo many times in Kawanakajima. Not much came out of those skirmishes, so he changed his target to the Imagawa clan who had erected some kind of salt embargo against him. After Imagawa Yoshimoto was killed at Okehazama, he invaded Suruga which was now in turmoil, and established the Takeda clan's golden age.
He also led his forces to the west and beat the absolute crap out of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu's combined forces at Mikatagahara, inflicting a lifelong trauma on Ieyasu. He then invaded Mikawa, but fell ill and died in the middle of his campaign, unable to achieve his goal. "Let's plant our flag in Seta..."
I'm certain there is no "man" who can rival me. But, there is a "woman" who can.
She is the first human I have met who transcends rational thought...human? Unable to tell what she is looking at, the corners of her lips contort into a smile. Faced with "something" completely incomprehensible, Harunobu was struck by fear for the first time in his life, but he rose to overcome it.
He continued to fight, coming up with more military strategies, making preparations, incorporating even magecraft, training himself, enriching Kai, and putting everything he had to surpass Kenshin. As a result, he literally became the strongest general in the Warring States era, with zero chance of losing to anyone other than Kenshin. Even Oda Nobunaga sat back, as it would've been impossible for her to make a move on Takeda Shingen during his lifetime.
However, he was never able to settle things with that "something" whom he was so fixated on. The turbulent time period, his birthplace, and the Takeda clan, did not allow for it. Fighting with everything he had, he died without ever saying a word about his lifelong desire. I’m satisfied, although I do have some regrets about how my life ended. But, you know, just once if possible…
――― I wanted to punch her as hard as I could. Stubborn over something so trivial. To other people, it just looked like he was losing a brawl against the neighborhood kid, but to that man, it was what defined his “strength.”[1]
Appearance[]
Shingen is a man with a wild mane of light coloured hair, he wears plate armour and a half-cloak. He wields a GunbaiWP in battle.
Personality[]
Shingen is a very serious and dedicated man, despite his overwhelming power, he still compliments enemies when they impress him.
He is the super-genius military commander who embodies the Takeda clan’s brand as the strongest clan during the Warring States period.
A naturally strong individual, he is backed by his blessed physical prowess and superior intellect. He is overly proud and confident in himself - this is reflected in his arrogant fighting style where he will not use both hands in battle unless he deems the person worthy of being his opponent.
Due to his precocity, Harunobu had a miserable childhood because all the people in his vicinity looked like idiots to him. He even viewed his father Nobutora as an idiot. His father tried to distance himself from Harunobu and make his younger brother his heir, but Harunobu concluded that Kai would perish if things continued at this rate. He ended up expelling his father and becoming Kai's feudal lord. Harunobu, who had never experienced any setbacks up to this point, had zero doubts about his reign.
...But Nagao Kagetora of Echigo, later known as Uesugi Kenshin, would destroy that preconception. "There will never be a man stronger than me in the Warring States era, past or future." ――― Kenshin doesn't count because she's a woman.[1]
Relationships[]
First and Second Ascension[]
- Nagao Kagetora/Uesugi Kenshin (Ruler)
- "There was never a man stronger than me in the Warring States period, past or future. I'm not saying this out of arrogance or overconfidence. In fact, there was no man in my vicinity who could compete with me... Kenshin? She's a woman, so it's not like I'm lying. No, she's something more than that, something I don't understand. I don't want anything to do with her ever again...and of course she shows up right as I say that... Seriously, what is her problem...?"[2]
- Takeda Nobushige
- “Nobushige, huh...he was an overly good brother to me. If he had said he would take over Kai himself, I would have been happy to have lost to him. But Nobushige did not do so, and would not do so. I inherited Kai, and he lived for me. Thank you, my best brother…[2]
- Oda Nobunaga (Archer)
- "Of course I know about her Three Line Formation. What of it? It's not like the Takeda clan lost to Nobunaga under my leadership. I was not ruling the Takeda clan back then. Katsuyori was, so the feat should go to him. It's not my place to say anything else. That being said, I don't know how to feel about her calling herself the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven. It would make anyone hearing that name lose their brain cells."[2]
- Oda Nobukatsu
- "Hey, who's that beanpole-looking bastard? Nobunaga's younger brother? That's him? So for Nobunaga's sake, he... I see, so that's why it struck me as odd. No, it's nothing. I take back what I said just now."[2]
- Mori Nagayoshi
- "Oh, if it isn't Yoshinari's son. I heard that after my death, he went on a rampage in Kai. The Takeda clan also crossed spears with him several times, but he lived up to his name of "Sanza the Attacker" in battle. Let's see how capable your son is in battle."[2]
- Nagakura Shinpachi
- "Seniors have the hidden power of experience. Don't get caught up by someone's outer appearance and lose sight of their essence. Just look at Shinpachi. Even in his older form, he's... No, he doesn't make a good example. Somehow he's even more energetic than his younger version of himself."[2]
- Imagawa Ujizane
- “Ujizane...I inherited Kai from my father and he inherited Suruga, and we fought one another. It's just how things are during unstable times, but when a child is forced to focus too much on winning, he will suffer for it...”[2]
- Nero Claudius
- "That Saber woman in red, what nation is she from? Oh, I just thought she was wearing a nice shade of red. What, she's the Emperor of Rome? I see. I didn't think the average person could produce that shade of red, but that makes sense if that's the case."[2]
- Iskandar
- "Iskandar, the King of Conquerors...his outfit's got a nice shade of red. Not to mention that magnificent chariot. I like it. I'd like to go out for drinks with him if I get the chance. I know a good local place. Why don't you come too?"[2]
Third Ascension[]
- Uesugi Kenshin (Ruler)
- "Though she goes by many names - the Dragon of Echigo, God of War, and the avatar of Bishamonten - to me, she is nothing but a god of pestilence. Taking her seriously is a fool's errand, when everything she does seems to defy reason but later makes sense down the line. However, if you find yourself in a hopeless situation, you can rely on her. Yes, you can rely on Kenshin, my lifelong nemesis."[2]
- Oda Nobunaga (Avenger) and Oda Nobunaga (Swimsuit)
- "Oda Nobunaga, Demon King of the Sixth Heaven, huh... Well, I know it was my letter to her that coined that moniker, but how was I supposed to know she would reply back with such a ridiculous name? I don't know if I can take her seriously. So, who's that over there, the one in the red shirt? What, that's also the Demon King? And wearing a swimsuit at that? Ngh. I have no reason to doubt her abilities, but were her tastes really that foolish?"[2]
- Tokugawa Ieyasu
- “You never know how things will turn out, seeing as how that kid from Mikawa would eventually take over the nation. It seems like he took the lesson he learned at the Battle of Mikatagahara to heart. See, it's important to be careful when you are just one step away from your goal. I too learned that painful lesson when I was young. Just like that kid from Mikawa did. Hahahahahaha. Now that I think about it, perhaps it's karma making its way around.”[2]
- Imagawa Yoshimoto/Hōjō Ujiyasu
- “As a contemporary who competed for dominance over the land, I would be lying if I said that I had no feelings for Lord Yoshimoto, the strongest general of Tōkaidō. If I ever get the chance, I would like to have a chat with Lord Ujiyasu over a drink. Of course, I won't invite Kenshin. Ever.”[2]
- Hijikata Toshizou
- "The Kōyō Chinbutai...how were they able to fight on the same space in Kai despite being separated by time? That man, Hijikata Toshizō, truly has the spirit of a demon. Had he been born in the Warring States period, he would most certainly have made a name for himself as a commander."[2]
- Sei Shounagon
- "Sei Shōnagon? Sei Shōnagon of the Thirty-Six Immortal Poets of the Heian period is here? I'd like to ask her for a favor, to instruct me in poetry. So, where is she right - how should I put this, by any chance...is that outspoken colorful lady Sei Shōnagon? Y-yuppers...? "[2]
- Zhuge Liang
- "Is that man really Zhuge Liang? It's never a dull moment with you. Hmm, I'd love to spend hours talking to him about Sun Tzu. What? He'd rather talk about strategy games? I'm not sure I understand, but if this is a competition in military strategy, I can be his opponent."[2]
- Red Hare
- "Red Hare? By that, you mean THAT Red Hare? He thinks he's Lu Bu? Sorry, I don't really get what you're trying to say, but I can tell that horse is definitely a renowned horse. I can tell, that's for certain..."[2]
- Tenochtitlan
- "Lady Tenochtitlan, a waterfront city that flourished in the south. I know a bit about flood control, too. I would love to talk to you about urban planning. What, the city transforms into a giant? Hahahahahaha! It's one thing for my castle to become a horse, but you have jumped not one, but ten steps ahead...!"[2]
