- So which is it? Can the wounds not be healed or is it merely hard to fix the damage? Obviously, it has to be the second, otherwise there is a huge plot hole in the prologue when Rin heals Shirou. Yet, it still says "inflict wounds that do not heal", which implies that they can't be healed and so Rin should not have been able to save Shirou. I know this is semantic but I still wished to bring this up because it's still an inconsistency. --Jaften 00:20, November 4, 2010 (UTC)
- Still no contradiction, but a miscomprehension. The wound doesn't heal. It can be healed, through magical means. But it doesn't heal naturally, probably including medical attention since that relies on natural healing, even if sewn, it would still bleed inside, possibly. Missing skill: Protection from Arrows[]
Is there a particular reason that when you view Lancer's Servant template in the infobox it only shows four of his personal Skills despite all 5 actually being in his data when you go into the editor mode? Erin[]
Sorry to burst bubbles lads and ladies, but some of the information in the 'Hound of Culann' section is incorrect. Erin is not the Gaelic word for green. It comes from the name Ériú a goddess from Irish mytholgy who the country is named after.
Also it is written '...When it was STILL a land named after...' this implies past tense, but Ireland is still called Erin in the present day by Irish speaking people. And my last point is, the name itself is miss spelt. It's Éireann, not Erin. Thats all, change it or leave it I don't mind, I just wanted to let you all know. - I would, but I've no idea as to the context, or what the actual translating or anything. I don't even know the policy on this, cause there have been times around here where things seemed pretty wrong, but we go with it cause it's the official romanisation. I'm just clarifying where the confusion over the current name of the country might stem from. I don't actually know the origin of Éireann in terms of the word's etymology, you could be right, the other guy could be right. I only mentioned that you can change the spelling if you knew it was wrong because Lancer's CM3 profile was my translation, and I didn't bother to look deeply into the etymology of terms outside Cú Chulainn's Wikipedia article. So the proper nouns and foreign terms (written in katakana) may indeed be erroneously spelt. However, perhaps I'm being too serious about something most readers don't really care about. - Erin seems to be a valid derivative usage according to the Wikipedia article, so there doesn't seem to be any immediate need to change that. The meaning of the word being incorrect and the tense seem to be things that can just be attributed to bad research. With those and things like improper physics, I always just assume that they're like that in Nasu's world, lest we have hundreds of minor "actually it's like this in real life" notes. I can't imagine many people think they're learning valid historical/mythological facts from the series, so having "wrong" information isn't that big of a deal. Gae Bolg Query[]
Could Gae Bolg actually hit Gilgamesh? I know he could technically avoid being killed by it, but would his Golden Armour be pierced under the spear's thrust? I only ask because the armour is recorded at tanking multiple hits from Excalibur, so would the spear itself have the power to follow through on the 'Pierces Heart' condition?
